There has always been something...different about me.

Y/n Shiba was sitting by the window of his apartment as he decided to look outside instead of changing to get ready to go to school.

He should've felt at peace, but that strange, nagging sensation tugged at him again. It was always there—just beneath the surface. Like a set of eyes watching him from somewhere, but never close enough to catch. He'd tried to shake the feeling for years, dismissing it as paranoia. But lately, it had gotten worse, almost suffocating in the quiet moments.

Y/n: It's always like this...

Y/n runs his hair through his dark black hair as he goes to grab his glasses and decides to put them on before then putting his Karakura high fit on.

Y/n: Let's get ready to go to school then

He closes the door of his apartment and begins to make his way towards the school. He has always enjoyed the quiet life that he has loved and enjoyed but there was always that sense of something more, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. The feeling crept into his thoughts every day, as if the world was watching him, waiting for him to catch up to whatever truth was hiding out of sight.

And today is another one of those type of days right?

Y/n makes his way through the gates of Karakura high as he begun to make his way towards his class. The only thing that he saw around him was familiar faces, familiar halls and the familiar surroundings of chatter in the halls. He sees everyone huddled outside looking at something.

He sighs as he realises that they are the test results. He slowly walks towards them before seeing something he sees all the time

Y/n: First place huh.

Y/n murmured that to himself while looking at the test scores. Of course. It wasn't even surprising anymore. The pressure was always there—top of the class, perfect scores. It was something that came naturally to him, though he never really understood why. He didn't try that hard.

Keigo: Well well well! Look who is the genius again!

Y/n turns to see Keigo Asano running towards him

Keigo: Top of the class again? Are you some sort of machine Y/n?

Y/n shrugs as Keigo's face drops

Keigo: You don't have to be so hollow Y/n!

Y/n: It's just a test Keigo, it isn't really that much of a big deal

Keigo: Not a big deal he says.

Keigo continued on dramatically as he looked at Y/n with tears in his eyes

Keigo: We are supposed to be lower than at least twenty Y/n! That's the standard! I bet you didn't even study as well

Y/n shrugs yet again

Y/n: A little.

A familiar voice could be heard as someone was walking towards them

Ichigo: You are making the rest of us look bad, Y/n.

Y/n smiles at Ichigo Kurosaki before giving him a response

Y/n: I'm not doing it on purpose, you could be top as well Ichigo.

Ichigo smirks as Y/n looks to Ichigo's right to see Chad standing next to him

Ichigo: We can all catch up someday

They all begin to laugh at the joke that Ichigo just made, Y/n's eyes drift towards the sound of footsteps as he turns to see Rukia Kuchiki speed walking towards their group. Y/n saw the intensity in her gaze which seems to be otherworldly but he didn't want to persue further.

And then there was that odd sensation again—the one that felt like someone was watching him.

Not this again...

Rukia: Hello Kurosaki-kun, do you mind coming with me please!

Ichigo: Um okay...

Rukia grabs onto Ichigo's hand before they then start to run off

Keigo: Man what is their deal? They are always just sneaking off like that suddenly!

Y/n: Who knows. Maybe they could be in a secret relationship.

But even as he said it, he didn't fully believe it. Something wasn't right with them. And for some reason, it felt connected to the strange sensation that had been following him his whole life.

Timeskip brought by a Nah I'd Win.

It was the end of the school day and Y/n was packing up his books and putting them into his bag before then catching sight of another guy with glasses looking at the test scores. Uryu Ishida

Uryu had gotten second place. Their eyes meet for a brief moment

Is he studying me or something?

Y/n had noticed that Uryu was looking at Y/n with a curious curiosity before then just grabbing his stuff and walking out of the class

Something just doesn't seem right..

Y/n grabs his stuff and begins to make his own way back home trying to shake off the unease that he has had all this day. But now it has come to light. A  sudden pulse of spiritual energy rippled through the air, sharp and cold. He froze, his senses suddenly on high alert.

Y/n: What....was that?

Y/n could sense the dense amount of spiritual energy that was coming from one specific area. He felt his own energy collide and react to the spiritual pressure, cracking almost as if it drawn to the pressure

Y/n: It's coming from downtown.

His stomach was mixed between dread and curiosity. He realised that he had to go and check out the energy

As he stepped forward to try and go towards it, it was almost as if something was pulling him back. He heard a small voice coming from somewhere

Y/n....you are not ready yet

Y/n in this point in time didn't want to listen at all and turned to where the pressure is coming from and begins to run towards the place where he can sense so many emotions and feelings as he gets there to see two people standing back to back

That's Uryu and Ichigo? What in the world are they doing fighting those beasts

Uryu and Ichigo were using their respective powers to defeat the hollows that were there. What they didn't expect was for Y/n to get kicked in there by a hollow

Ichigo: Y/n..!? What in the world are you doing here

Y/n looks at his arm. He still had the goosebumps from when he was near his house

Y/n: I felt it so I came here. Hope I'm not interrupting anything

Uryu and Y/n both adjust their glasses. Uryu looks at Y/n with a suspicious look

Ichigo: Wait you can see me also!?

Y/n nods

Y/n: I'm here to help you guys out with your fight.

Uryu: You don't have powers. You would be futile.

Y/n: I want to protect. My dad died to one of these things years ago.

Ichigo looks at Y/n. He knows his pain since that happened to his mother...Masaki Kurosaki

Y/n: So please let me fight with you.

Ichigo: That's fine by me!

Ichigo draws his sword and begins to attack people with his Zanpakuto while Uryu uses his bow and arrows to eradicate the hollows...Y/n on the other hand, was just trying to punch the hollows with his bare hands while also getting attacked as well

Uryu: What are you doing!?

Y/n: I told you why I am here right?

Uryu: You and Kurosaki have something in common. You both talk too much

They all go on to start slashing at the hollows as Y/n is sustaining more and more each and every time

Uryu: Kurosaki! Shiba! Look at the sky

Y/n and Ichigo look up to see something creeping out of the sky

Y/n: What is that...?

More hollows appear but they get saved by two children, a man in a apron and a man with a bucket hat on

Urahara: Kurosaki, we've come to save you

Y/n: Who is that guy with the hat? Do you know him Ichigo.

Ichigo: I've seen him more than once.

Urahara: We will take care of the weaklings while you take care of that.

Urahara points to the menos grande which was looking down on Ichigo, Y/n and Uryu

Ichigo: Let's go Y/n! Ishida!!

Y/n: Huh?

Y/n and Ichigo runs towards the menos grande as Ichigo tries to attack it and fails while Y/n goes flying back with blood falling down him

Damn it...I am loosing a lot of blood

Rukia: Look at Y/n! Is he not going to die!?

Urahara: Ah..you mean Mr Shiba-San?

Rukia: You know him?

Urahara smirks

Urahara: Just you wait.

Y/n touches his body as he sees more and more blood

Y/n: I could die...

Uryu: We can stop this thing!

Y/n: Yeah I don't think we will stop it.

Uryu: Don't patronise me like that Shiba!

They look back up at the menos grande who begins to make a cero

Y/n: I can't let us die here...no way..!!

Y/n feels his power rising a bit before then suddenly just finding himself in another world...floating while also falling

Eh? How come I am in a place like this and not the real world....

Because I was the one who decided to bring you here. Y/n Shiba

Y/n turns to see a man there

I told you, you were not strong enough and now you may die.

How can I be stronger then..

Trust in me Y/n, and I can help you attain any sort of power you may wish

Y/n was still falling in the world as a bunch of white ribbons begun to fall at him

Choose the one that's the right path for you.

Y/n can see mainly white ribbons but he can also see one red ribbon that is slowly fading away

I'll go for the white one then...

Y/n opens the box as there was a blinding light and suddenly he was back in the real world, but there was something glowing next to him

Y/n: Sick...

Uryu was absolutely shocked

Uryu: So that's what I was feeling...Y/n was a Quincy this whole time!

Y/n releases back one of the arrows and sends it flying towards the cero which pierces through the cero while exploding it

Y/n: Now Ichigo!!

Ichigo releases all of his power into one single attack as he slashes the menos grande causing it to retreat

Y/n: Job well done

Y/n falls down to the ground before smiling

His eyes then just close.
