I decided to do a separate part for the second part of the episode just because the first part I did was so long. I might continue it so I don't know. Anyways,

Here we go!

Episode 2 - The Witch's Familiar

As I predicted, Missy and Clara did NOT die, but the way they tied things together was great! How they survived was explained and linked together with the previous finales 'sudden death' too, I have a feeling they'll be reusing this idea along the line (Osgood I hope) and Missy trying to get rid of Clara was great too, you know how much I enjoyed that, if Clara DOES die this series, it will either be in the middle or as a finale, I can't see her dying just yet because it wouldn't make sense. The Doctor stealing Davros' chair I adored (and wanted) along with the sunglasses and tea and Missy's 'pointy stick' moment too. Same thing applies really, I want the pointy stick and Davros' chair. And maybe Doctor's sunglasses too but that's not the point.

The sewers bit was eww and clever at the same time, especially when Missy put Clara into the Darlek which looked like it had been killed by constipation (eww but clever as I said earlier) and the irony of Clara in a Darlek was funny and kind of bad (she was a Darlek at one point, remember?) And then it got sympathetic. Davros made his excellent monologue which was so believable that you almost felt sorry for him before...BAM! SMACKS YOU RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH HIS EVIL!
I predicted the 'cable thingy' when Davros said 'look at the cables' beforehand and I JUST saw Colony Sarth's snakes moving a teensy bit but Davros' monologue made you forget about this until the very second he did his usual evilness. So good. When they mentioned the 'prophecy' about the Darlek/Time Lord hybrid I imagined something like the Human Darlek, Darlek Sec but they just left it there for us to forget about again until/unless they sneakily bring it back again.

The Doctor 'naturally' had a plan to counteract Davros' plan which was once again cleverly eww. Spontaneous regeneration energy was a new one too, but I don't wanna bother with that. Missy went to an even more evil, trying to be the Doctor's 'best friend' by getting him to kill Clara by saying she was dead and the Darlek in front of her was the one who killed her! That was a new low and made me see her in a new light for a brief minute, I almost thought her plan would work! Almost... And the sonic sunglasses saved the day, I love them (and want them) but I hope they bring back the screwdriver again at some point. I also guessed the Doctor wouldn't 'exterminate kid Davros because he had the chance before as the fourth Doctor and couldn't so I didn't think he would this time. All in all a great way to finish of the two parter, I enjoyed it.

Either way, I'll be reviewing tomorrow's episode 'Under the Lake' where the Doctor and Clara will be facing some 'ghostly' creatures (who look like rats a bit and remind me of the Vashta Narata skull face reveals! *shivers*) just in time for Halloween!
