It's Christmas!

It's a few years after Artemis was born. So Victor will be five and she will be four.

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

Let your heart be light

From now on your troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay

From now on your troubles will be miles away

"All right....what do you think Aunt Martha?" You asked as you step back and show your aunt where you placed the tree, which was next to the fireplace, while your phone was playing Christmas music. You had to move John's old chair a few feet away but it was worth it. "It looks lovely, dear. Now all it needs is decoration." Mrs Hudson said as she looks at the large green tree.

"The fun part." You said as you and her go over to the large box of ornaments. "Can I help?" Victor asked as he walks up to you, a big smile on his face. "Me too!" Artemis squealed as she runs over to you and Mrs Hudson. "Of course, my dears!" You said and your children screamed. "Yay!" And both of them started digging through the box. "Just be careful. Some of the ornaments are very old, like me." Mrs Hudson joked, making the young children giggle. "Where's Daddy?" Victor asked as he grabs an ornament of a snowman.

"Unfortunately, your father is working. He should be home later." You replied to the young curly haired boy, who was just the spitting image of Sherlock. Sherlock's mother even said that Victor looked exactly like Sherlock when he was a child. "Couldn't Uncle Greg give Daddy a day off?" Victor asked you as Artemis pulls out a reindeer ornament and hands it to Mrs Hudson.

"I'm sure Uncle Greg would love to give your father a day off, but unfortunately...he needs your father's help." You replied as you take the ornament from Victor and placed it in the tree. "Because Daddy's smart?" Artemis asked and you chuckle at this. "Your father likes to think so....but yes. Your father is incredibly smart and Uncle Greg needs his help." You replied.

About an hour, the four of you got the tree all decorated then Victor pulls out the star tree topper. "I want to put the star on the tree!" He exclaims. "No! I want to!" Artemis squealed. "No, me!" Victor shouts back at her. "No me!" Artemis shouts at him.

"Darlings! Let's not fight! Both of you can put the star up." You said as you pick up Victor and Mrs Hudson picks up Artemis. "Now, Artemis...grab the other side of the star while your brother holds his side of the star." You instructed and the two do as their told and you and Mrs Hudson heaved the two up to the tree. And at that moment, both of them place the star on top of the tree.

You and Mrs Hudson congratulate them as the two smile and clap their hands. You and Mrs Hudson set them down as you go over to the side and plug in the lights, letting the multi-color lights illuminate. "Oooohhhh!" Victor said in awe while Artemis said. "Pretty."

"Can we make cookies for Santa?" Victor asked in excitement. "We'll wait until Christmas Eve. That way the cookies can be fresh and ready for when Father Christmas comes." Mrs Hudson replied to him and Victor groans. "Awww...but that's too faaar!" He groans, impatiently. "Trust me, Victor, Christmas Eve will be here before you know it. We've only got a few days left. Okay?" You said. Your son pouts for a moment then looks up at you and nods.

"Okay...now let's get this place cleaned before your father comes home." You said and all of you started cleaning.

Afterwhile, the flat was cleaned and decorated when you heard footsteps coming up the stairs and in walked the familiar tall, curly haired handsome man you called your husband. "Daddy!" The kids exclaimed and instantly the cold calculated machine Detective was replaced with a loving, caring family man.

He smiles and kneels down as his children run to him and give him a hug. He wraps his long arms around his children and hug them back then kisses the top of their heads. "How are you, my darlings?" Sherlock asked as you and Mrs Hudson smiled at this little interaction. "Good." Victor replied while Artemis jumps up and down and grabs her father's hand.

"Look what we did, Daddy!" She squealed as she points at the tree. "I see. It looks nice." Sherlock said to her as he stands up and the two youngins lead him to the tree. You smiled at him as he let's go of the kids' hands and walks up to you. "Hello, love." Sherlock said to you, softly. "Hello." You said as Sherlock leans down and placed his lips on yours.

You kiss back despite the sounds of disgust coming from your children. "Ugh....stop!" Your kids exclaimed as they get in between you and Sherlock and try to push you two away from each other. Both you and Sherlock chuckle as you two break the kiss then look down at your children.

"That's gross, mummy and daddy." Artemis said as Victor nods in agreement. "Oh what...this?" Sherlock asked then he pulls you in for another kiss and both the kids let out a loud. "Eeeewwww!"

"All right that's enough! Stop traumatizing the children." Mrs Hudson said, shaking her head and smiling, as you and Sherlock break the kiss and laugh.

"Daddy! Daddy! Guess what?" Victor said to his father. "What's that, son?" Sherlock asked him. "Mummy said we get to make cookies on Christmas Eve." Victor replied. "Oh?" Sherlock said, questionable. "Yeah! For Santa!" Artemis exclaimed. "Father Christmas doesn't exist." Sherlock grumbles and the look on your children's faces turned to shock then sadness.

Your eyes widen at this and immediately you go into damage control. "What?" The kids said in a devastated tone. "Don't listen to your father kids. He stopped believing in Father Christmas because he kept getting coal for Christmas." You said as you go over to your children. "No, I didn't...." Sherlock started to say but you turn your head, sharply, and glare at him.

He closed his mouth and looked down. He knew when you gave him that look, he was in trouble. "As I was saying...." you said as you look back at your children. "Just don't listen to him. Father Christmas does exist, my loves." You said and your kids slowly smile.

"Aunt Martha, can you watch the kids while I talk to my husband." You said as you glance over at Sherlock. "Of course, dear." Mrs Hudson said and you and Sherlock go over to your bedroom while Mrs Hudson said. "Come along, little ones. I'll make you two a snack."

You and Sherlock get inside your bedroom and you shut the door. "What the hell, Sherlock?" You asked, angrily. "Why did you say that to our children?"

"Why are you lying to them?" Sherlock asked you. "Because they are still young and I want them to at least have a normal childhood." You replied and Sherlock scoffs at this. "They're too old for Father Christmas." Sherlock grumbles.

"Seriously? Victor is five and Artemis is four, they are still young enough to believe. I just...I just want to let them be little as long as I can, Sherlock. They're growing up so fast and I just want to make happy memories with them." You said and take a deep breath. You look up at your husband, who has a concern look on his face, and said. "So please, love....don't be a Grinch and steal Christmas from your children." Then you go and walk out of the room, making Sherlock feel like a jerk.

It was Christmas Eve and you and Sherlock were hosting a Christmas party at your flat. John, Rosie, Mrs Hudson, Lestrade, Molly and even Anderson was there. All of y'all were just eating and drinking having a chat and laughing as the three kids were playing with toys.

You smiled at the three kids just when you felt arms wrapped around your waist. "Are you still mad at me?" Sherlock whispers in your ear. You let a small smile form on your lips and said. "Just alittle but I'll get over it." Sherlock chuckles and said. "Well, in a few minutes...you'll forgive me." You turn your head to him and give him a questioning look. "What are you talking....?" You started to ask when you heard a knock at the door.

"Oh, I'll get that." Mrs Hudson said as she heads out of the flat and down the stairs. "Hmmm....he's here early." Sherlock mutters. "What are you going on about?" You asked but Sherlock just smiles as you hear footsteps and Mrs Hudson comes in with a smile as she stares at the kids. "Children, guess who's here?" She said and she steps aside and in walks in Father Christmas.

"Merry Christmas!" He said, joyfully, and the look on the children's faces was priceless as their eyes light up with excitement. "Santa!" They exclaimed as they run to him while you stood there in shock.

You look over at your husband in shock as he gives you a smug smile. "You..." You started to say until Sherlock leans down and kissed you. "Told you, you would forgive me." He whispers against your lips. "But who did you get?" You asked him as Father Christmas talks to the children then starts to hand out toys to Victor, Artemis and Rosie.

"Your friend, Steven. Mrs Hudson told me about him and I went to speak to him and he said he would be delighted to do it." Sherlock replied and you smiled. "Have I told you how much I love you?" you asked and Sherlock let's out a deep chuckle as you lean up to him and the two of you kiss.

"Daddy! Daddy! Look what Santa gave me!" Victor exclaimed as he holds up a toy police car. "I see that, Victor." Sherlock said to his son as he smiles.
"Look what I got!" Artemis said as she holds up a baby doll. "Did you kids say thank you?" You asked them and they nod enthusiastically as Rosie goes over to John to show her present.

"See daddy! Santa is real!" Artemis said and Sherlock chuckles. "You're right, darling. I will admit, I was wrong." Sherlock said and you smile over at Sherlock.

"Okay, now...go and have fun." You said to your kids as they cheer and run over to Rosie to play with their new toys. 'Father Christmas' then walks over to you and Sherlock and you smile. "Thank you, Steven, for this." You whispered and he waves his hand vaguely. "Not at all, my dear. Seeing the smiles on those kids is worth it all." He said and you go and hug him.

He hugs back then you two break from the hug. "There's some snacks and drinks, you're welcome to it." You said as you gesture towards the table covered with snacks. "Bless you." He said as he goes over to the table.

Eventually, everyone went home and Victor and Artemis were put to bed. You were walking back in the in the living room to see Sherlock sitting in his favorite chair, his hand in the praying position. You walk over to him and sit down on the arm of his chair.

Sherlock smirks then moves you to sit on his lap. You lean your head on his shoulder and you look at the tree. You felt Sherlock kiss your temple. "I love you, (y/n)." He whispers in your ear. You smile as you move your head to see him. "I love you too, Sherlock." You whisper back to him then both of you lean in and kiss again.

Sherlock placed his hand behind your head as he gives you a slow, passionate kiss. You two of you have a make-out session for a while until you pull away to get some air. You turn your head to look out the window to see snow falling. "Hey, it's snowing." You said as you get up and go over to the window to watch fresh snow falling from the sky.

Sherlock comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist and watches the snow fall with you.
"Happy Christmas, love." Sherlock said to you. "Happy Christmas." You said to him and you kiss his cheek and you two enjoy this quiet moment between husband and wife.

(A/N: Sorry if this is short and kinda bad but this was the best I could think of and I kinda wanted to do something cute with Victor and Artemis. I hope you enjoy and also Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays!)
