The Ghost of You

Type: Songfic (The Ghost of You by My Chemical Romance)

Pairing: Reader x Sherlock Holmes

warnings: cursing, violence, self harm, suicidal intention

This is Annabelle from Queen of Crime without drayizzle :(

I never lied and said I'd wait forever

Sheets of rain batted against the glass window, she crossed her legs, long black nails digging into the arms of the chair.

"Annabelle." the woman's voice barely managed to cut through the raging voices in her mind. She barely lifted her head, green eyes a blaze.

If I did, we'd be together now

"There's a reason you're sitting in that chair. We both know it, you just need to sat it. Get it out of your system." Her tone was so warm and soft, it was sickening.

Annabelle's life seemed dull. It was boring and colorless. The thrill of it all died along with him.

I can't always just forget her, but she could try

"Sherlock Holmes is dead."

She managed to keep her voice steady, cold and emotionless.

"How would you describe your feelings, now that Mr. Holmes has left us?"

In the blink of an eye, she had the therapist pinned against the wall. Her arm against her neck.

at the end of the world, or the last thing I see

"I watched the love of my life kill himself, and you want to know how I feel?! IT FUCKIN HURTS. HE'S DEAD. I WAS NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP HIM HERE. Sitting here and telling you that he's dead isn't going to change the fact that my heart isn't going to be whole again. If you weren't recommended by John, I'd snap your neck here and now." the raven haired assasian hissed.

you are never comin home
never comin home

She removed her arm, allowing the woman to slid down the wall, gasping for air. Annabelle turned away, shoving her hands in her pockets as she stormed out into the storm. Raindrops soon falling down, washing away her tears. Her brother, her lover, all dead. Rainwater seeped through her clothes, but she was too numb to notice. She didn't know where she was going, lost in sadness and hopelessness.

and all the things that you never ever told me

His voice still rang out clear in her mind, the deep baritone that use to fight away her fears and insanity only brought them back.

and all the smiles that are never ever......

She turned and looked in the reflection of a large window of a nearby business. Raven black hair was plastered to her forehead and face, dark puffy circles formed under her eyes. She'd clearly lost weight and she didn't care. It angered her how The streets around her were almost empty, most people seeking warmth in their homes while hers was ripped from her.

all alone now i remember now at the top of my lungs and in my arms she dies

She could of sworn she saw him for a fraction of a second, watching her across the street. But a truck rushed past and he was gone. Rubbing her temples with her fingertips, she closed her eyes.

for all the wounds that are never gonna scar me

Suddenly she felt herself be yanked away, looking around to see a dark damp ally. A man had his arm around her neck. "Hello Sweetheart." a puff of cigarette smoke blew down on her. On instinct she bent over and flipped him, pulling a gun out of his hand and aiming it at him.

"I wouldn't."

she felt her blood run cold as a familiar baritone filled the allyway.

"you aren't real." She whispered.

A warm hand wrapped around her wrist, pulling her into a warm sweet embrace. Overwhelmed with the scent she'd missed so much.

"You're alive.." She whispered.

He looked down at the woman in his arms, leaning down and whispering in her ear, his breath warm on her neck. "In your dreams."

for all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me

Annabelle shot up straight in bed, any warmth now ice cold. She looked over at the other side of the bed to be empty.
