Sherlock pulled his long coat over his head and looked up at the sky. Dark clouds had formed, making the entire sky seem gray. The rain was pouring down, completely soaking him. He couldn't comprehend what was going on. When you left the house, the sky was a bright blue colour and the sun was shining brightly. There were no clouds to be seen. How could the weather drastically change like this?
Sherlock normally didn't mind the rain. He enjoyed the peaceful sound it made when hitting the roof, giving him the perfect circumstances to sleep. Laying next to his beloved girlfriend during a rainy night only made it a hundred times better. He would stay up a bit longer to listen to the rain and watch her sleep. Softly he would stroke her hair and giggle at the small smile that would appear on her resting face. She was his whole world. The love of his life.
However, walking outside in the pouring rain made him feel grumpy. Today was your one year anniversary. He had spent the perfect day with you in this perfect weather. You had gone to the park close by to eat ice cream, he had given you the most beautiful necklace he could find and he had taken you to your favourite restaurant. During the dinner, you had already noticed the dark clouds forming, but insisted to finish your special day instead of leaving early to get home. You had done everything on foot, the rain made Sherlock regret that decision. He wished he could take her home safely in a heated car and make sure she would stay happy and healthy.
"Darling!" Sherlock called out as he began to walk faster. You were walking in front of him, the biggest and brightest smile on your face. You had spent the most amazing day with Sherlock, not even the rain could ruin your day. Normally you hated getting soaked outside, but today was differently. A special rainfall for you and Sherlock.
"Could you please take my coat," Sherlock sighed as he began walking next to you. "You'll catch a cold. I told you to bring a jacket before we left." You had dressed as if it was summer. Before leaving, Sherlock had continuously told you that the weather was not to be trusted, but he hadn't been able to convince you. You had enjoyed your clothes in the heat for almost the entire day, mocking him about being right about the weather. Unfortunately you had been too quick to judge. You were quite cold but wouldn't let it ruin this perfect day.
"No thank you," you said with a smile as you walked a bit ahead of him. Sherlock frowned at your response, feeling worried for you. You began running through the rain, forcing Sherlock to go after you. You were acting strangely happy under these circumstances. It was as if you didn't want to take care of yourself. As if you didn't want to do anything to change it.
"Come on," Sherlock said annoyed, as he ran after you. He slowly began to run out of breath, but you had enough energy left. "What do you mean no? Take it." You shook your head as you slowed down, allowing Sherlock to catch up with you. He grabbed your arm pulling you closer to him. You looked at him in surprise, still smiling widely. You weren't bothered by the confused look in his eyes.
"Are you crazy?" He asked sternly, as he pulled the coat over your head as well. You laughed as you softly grabbed his cheeks, giving them a little squeeze. Water was dripping from your hair, face and body unto the ground. Goosebumps were to be seen all over your arms, making him worried sick. He didn't care about himself anymore. He needed to get her somewhere warm and dry.
"Stop it," he spoke annoyed as he pushed your hands away. The smile on your face disappeared, making you pout lightly. You just wanted to have fun. Not worry so much about the weather. Ever since you and Sherlock starter dating, he had become a completely different person. A person you didn't see in him at first. He was extremely overprotective and tried to take care of you whenever he could. It was something you really loved about him.
"You're no fun," you spoke sadly, while crossing your arms to show anger. Sherlock sighed as he raised an eyebrow at her. How could you be so unbothered by the situation?
"No fun?" He asked mockingly. "Do you think I care about fun right now? You don't even realise you're going to be sick. Why don't you even care?" You rolled her eyes as she stepped away from him.
"It's our first anniversary," you sighed. "Don't let your mood get ruined so easily by this rainfall. We had a perfect day, let's not worry and make the best of it." You turned around, continuing your way home. Sherlock sighed deeply and walked after you, still finding cover under his coat. You ran ahead towards a big puddle in the middle of the road. You turned around, smirking.
"Sherlock, watch," you laughed as you jumped in the puddle, making water splash everywhere. Sherlock's eyes widened slightly as he walked towards you. You jumped again, making water splash unto his soaked pants. You looked at him with a smile on your face, while running towards the next puddle.
"You can't be serious," Sherlock sighed. You jumped into another pile, giggling loudly. Sherlock couldn't suppress a smile as he watched you step and jump into the puddles. He shook his head lightly, laughing softly. You were so goofy, you always had been. From the day you met until this very day. There was nobody like you. You were unique and refreshing. You had a totally different view on the world. Completely different from his, making him curious about what was always going on inside your head.
"Come on!" You yelled out. Sherlock got closer to you, finally dropping his coat. "I saw you smiling. Join me!" You kicked the water from the puddle in his direction, making him flinch. He looked at you in surprise, making you laugh out loud.
"Woah, you're so childish," he laughed as he stepped closer to you. "Only little kids jump in puddles. You're crazy, darling." You grabbed his hand, pulling him closer to you. You brought your other hand towards his forehead, softly brushing some hair to the side. There was something about his wet hair that was so attractive to you. It made you feel some type of way, a way you couldn't explain. Your bright smile made him feel warm inside and made him finally realise that you really were having fun. He could do nothing but smile back.
"Having fun is childish?" You asked, confused. "Maybe you're just a boring adult." You chuckled, before kissing his cheek softly. Sherlock's cheeks shot red, making him look down quickly. Even after a year of being together everyday, 365 days of kisses and cuddles and many compliments, you still had a certain power over him. You could make his heart skip a beat with one kiss, make him blush with one compliment and laugh by one silly move. He loved you more than anything in this world.
"Hey," he said, mockingly faking his anger. "Just because I am responsible doesn't mean I'm a boring adult. I just care about you." You felt touched by his words. You could see his eyes sparkle, showing kindness and love. Those eyes were the most beautiful thing about him. The way they lit up when he saw you in that red dress. The way they showed you how much he loved you when he complimented you. He had a genuine soul. Making you love him more every day.
You smiled softly at him, laying one hand on his cheek. The rain made water run down from his face, making him look so cute. You tilted his head down slightly, slowly bringing your face closer to him. Sherlock could feel the tension between you, automatically making him close his eyes. You smiled at his cute features for a second, before closing your eyes as well. He grabbed your waist, pulling you closer. For a moment he forgot about the rain pouring down. All he could think about was you. Kissing you, grabbing you, touching you.
You pressed your lips passionate against his. Time seemed to slow down as your body temperature started to rise. Sherlock softly bit your lip, making you open your mouth slightly, allowing his tongue to intertwine with yours. He deepened the kiss, as he slowly let his hand slide over your spine, softly touching your butt. It made shivers run down your spine, only moving your body closer to him. You could feel your heart racing as the sexual tension between you increased. It caught you completely of guard. You never expected Sherlock to heat things up outside of the house.
After a while, you both pulled back to catch your breath. You stared deeply into eachothers eyes, making you blush badly. For a moment, none of you spoke. The look in his eyes made her nervous. You knew what was going on inside his head. You knew what he wanted.
"Let's get home fast," you spoke, smirking slightly. "The night is still young. It's time to have some more fun. Together this time."
