A/n: I wasn't wanting to put a Shelter parody in this book but time called for at least one. Hope you enjoy.

"This is still awkward for us too" Dr. T tells Renella. Sunslight was an hour away. Dr. Traveler wanted to talk with Renella before it happened. They sit in the main room beside the sleeping quarters. A large room that held some furniture, a couch, love seat and a large screen similar to a large T.V screen; currently showing an aquarium filled with exotic fish. A table set with two sealed cups filled with coffee. Traveler places it to his mouth as the lid opens a small bit for the liquid to escape.

"I understand how you feel. She is still so young mentally but psychically..." Renella says taking a sip.

"She is like a ten year old in a sixteen year old's body" Dr. T simplifies.

"I wonder if its because she didn't have any parental figures to guide her" Renella suggests.

"No, I don't think so" Dr. Traveler begins. "Her blood father had created a program of himself. I'm assuming that when she got the letter from her father, it activated itself and silently taught Rin little things to pick her up to age"

"English Traveler" Renella jerks. Even she couldn't keep up with his super science speech.

"She was taught by a robot father program. One made by her own father" Dr. T rewords. "Which in short.."

"She had a sort of parental figure teaching her?" Renella asks.

"That is what I want to believe. How else was she able to speak so fluently and have a decent amount of logic? Her artistic skill are really phenomenal as well" Dr. T compliments.

"Years of practice are know to have an effect on the individual" Renella explains. "Like Leonardo and Picasso"

"Well she is more modern than those ancient successors" Dr. Traveler jokes. Renella giggles a little.

"So...What is your plan?" Renella asks returning to the serious tone.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean about Rin. Are you still going to act like her father for the rest of her life?" Renella asks sipping her coffee again.

"Yes. But..."

"But?" Renella asks raising an eyebrow.

"The nightmares she's been having. They all orbit around her real dad. The one who did most of the work. I don't think I can match up to his doings.." Dr. T says in a little despair.

"You don't think she'll find you suitable to be her real father?"

"Sort of. I feel like she wants to return to the old time, maybe to a time where the destruction of her home had never happened" Dr.T suggests.

"That happened almost twenty years ago. It was inevitable, and unavoidable. There was very little we could have done" Renella explains.

"I get it. I even ran multiple simulations in ways to avoid it. I always ended up failing because of the same reason her father had to short pod creation" Dr. T lightly hits his hand against the table in anger.

"Which was..?"

"Time! I never had enough time. The planet's collision course was sped up all of a sudden and in the end I was unsuccessful in making a machine or something to stop it" Dr. T says dropping his head on the table in despair. Renella floats over to him and rests her hand on his shoulder.

"Don't be hard on yourself. Rin's father did everything in his capabilities to help his daughter survive. Now you get to continue his legacy by taking care of his same daughter. Rin will never forget the two people who saved her." Dr. Traveler looks up.

"Thanks Renella. I guess...she'll keep the memories of her father.. Sheltered, within her heart"

"Now that is what I want to hear from the Shakespearean scientist" Renella teases.

"We should get ready. Sunslightis in less than an hour" Traveler notes.

"Right, I'll go wake up Rin." Renella begins float to Rin's room.

"Renella wait.." Dr. Traveler stops her. Renella grabs the holding bar by the door. "Do you think I'll make a good father?"

"That is for Rin to answer" Renella says leaving the room with a smile. Dr. T stares to the aquarium. 

"Maybe she was right.." Dr. Traveler tells himself. "She has a right to miss her father and mother of the past, even if I can't match it today, I'll always love her as long as I can. As a father"
