"Papa!" I call out to him. I wake up the instant I did. He wasn't around again, only me in my room. The slightly stiff bed made for deep sleep travels and the room decorated with plains and scenery I painted myself. The door opens as Dr. Renella floats at the entrance. She was a close friend of Dr. T and was taking care of me like a mom. Her bright eyes gave me comfort and her long hair was tied back in a bun. The artificial gravity was turned off during the crew's sleep schedule so some things that weren't secured were floating about.

"Rin?Are you okay dear?" Dr. R asks. She floats toward my bed and takes hold of the railing for an anchor. I hug her and cry into her shoulder. "It's okay Rin. I'm here, I'm here. It's fine" she says in comfort.

"Renella I had the nightmare again" I tell her. "It happened again" I say crying into her arm. I kept my eyes close to her so my tears wouldn't float upward.

"Are you sure it was the same?" she asks. I told her many times about my dreams but they slightly differed in recent nights.

"Yes. It's the one with my mom and dad. Then the planet collision, I can't get it out of my mind.." Renella runs her hand through my hair. Something that always comforted me for something.

"Do you remember what I told you about dreams?" she asks.

"Yeah, they are bits of memories and imagination that our brain mixes together as a dream" I repeat remembering our previous talk about my weird dreams.

"Right. You remembered it well" she compliments.

"Well, what about nightmares? Why does our brain make them?" I ask her.

"It's still a mystery to even us. Most commonly is the cause of watching scary movies. The brain makes memories of that fear and sorta enhances it in our dream" Renella explains.

"And it ends up becoming nightmares? The enhanced scary memories?" I ask summarizing her explanation.

"Possibly. Again dreams and REM sleep are still a studying topic." My head droops in disappointment. Still nothing to help me understand all this weird memories and nightmares. The door opens again. No one enters for some reason.

"Um Renella? Someone is there" I tell her pointing to the door. Renella looks to where I was pointing. Something lets out a small growl. Renella hugs me, sorta protecting me from some sort of danger that was to come. The growling grew louder as a shadow start to peer in. I hug Renella harder. I didn't know what it was, nor did I want to find out. The growling grew louder as the shadow grew when suddenly...

"Boo!" I scream in fear only to find out it was Dr. T and my teddy bear.

"Dr. T! Don't scare us like that!" Renella shouts at him. Dr. T lightly laughs as he floats toward the bed beside Renella.

"Another nightmare I suppose?" he asks me. I nod a yes. Dr. Traveler or Dr. T for short; was the first real person I met in space. From the moment the space station found my pod, it was Dr. Traveler who made me feel like family again. Ever since, I sort of felt like he was my new dad. Renella later joined and made me part of their strange nuclear family.

"Who is that you are hiding behind you?" Renella asks referring to the bear.

"Well another space traveler managed to catch a ride with a certain girl of ours" Dr. T teases. He hands me Papa Bear; the name I gave the teddy bear. I forgot its childhood name so I renamed it Papa as a reminder of it being a gift from my blood father. "It took a little while but I managed to sew up the loose ends" Dr. T says with a smile. Papa was starting to loose its stuffing so I had Dr. T fix him. He looked as new as the first time I got him.

"Thanks..Dad" I say awkwardly.

"Rin, it's okay to call me by my real name if your not used to it yet" Dr. T tells me. He could tell that I wasn't fully used to it. It still felt weird to call him that but if I wanted a normal life, I have to start trying new things.

"We better head to sleep now" Renella begins. "We still have a few hour before 'sunslight" arrives." This was a sort of monthly event the space station had. Once a month, the space station would be full line with the sun's rays, we called it sunslight because we only see the sun in this time of month and its a slight glimpse to what is truly on the beyond of space.

"Can you two..stay here till I fall asleep?" I ask them. "Just in case I get a nightmare again" I admit in embarrassment.

"Are you sure Papa won't be enough?" Dr. T asks. I look at him for a moment before lying down and hiding my head under the blanket.

"Of course we will stay here for you dear" Renella corrects him. I hear Traveler grunt in pain. Maybe Renella jabbed him? I pull the blanket down to my shoulders. Renella places a hand on my head and rests it on my forehead.

"You're still a growing girl. We can do things like this if you like" Dr. T says kissing my forehead goodnight. "Would you like a bedtime story too?" I think for a moment before nodding. "Alright let's see.."
