she was back to being a zombie.

of course, there were times when she opened up the chat with jeongguk and started typing. more than anything, it was out of habit. but soyou would catch herself at the last second and erase everything she had typed.

so there she was, wiping the glass windows of the laundry shop while struggling to stay awake. the night before was a stormy one and she had more than just a few ghosts demanding to be let into her house. even as she recalled the incident, soyou shivered.

a voice right next to her caused soyou to scream, squeeze her eyes shut, and spray the glass cleaner blindly in the direction of the voice. mutters of curses sounded and someone grabbed her arm to point the cleaner in another direction.

she peeled her eyes open.

"... jung hoseok?"

the guy gave a sigh of relief. "thank god you recognize me. thought you were going to call the cops on me or something."

she rubbed the nape of her neck sheepishly. "sorry, thought you were a ghost..."

"huh?"

"nothing." she grinned and waved his concern away. "but what are you doing here?"

"i was passing by in the streets when i saw you through the glass windows. thought i would pop in and say hi!" he smiled and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. two deep dimples appeared on either side of his face.

"like how the balloon pops you mean—' she stopped.

he gave an unsure stare.

"i mean!" soyou ran her hands through the tangled mess of locks on her head. "i'm so, so sorry. i think i'm just deprived of sleep."

instead of judging her, hoseok gave a chuckle which soon escalated into booming laughter. flustered, soyou steps forward to help hoseok who was laughing so hard he fell on the ground. 

with tears in his eyes, he asked, "do you want to work in my company?"
