When Sheldon's grandma passed away, Leonard actually became worried about his friend's health.

He locked himself into his room, and because no one is supposed to be in his room Leonard didn't really know what to do. He tried to just knock, but was answered with a 'go away" or 'leave me alone", and that was not like Sheldon.

He don't eat, not even delicious food his mother make for him.
He forbid people to come near his room, and Leonard can hear crying in the middle of the night.

Sheldon never cries.

One night when Leonard heard Sheldon cry in the middle of the night he actually got up. If he couldn't get Sheldon to feel better no one can. He know everything from his shoe size to what he do exactly 11:00AM in the morning.

He walk up to Sheldon's door and knocked on it, harsher than he used to to make sure he heard it.
He wasn't even irritated like he used to be when he was waken in the middle of the night, he was just worried.

"Go away." Sheldon's voice cried out, and Leonard heard he has been crying for a while.

"Sheldon, please don't shut me out." Leonard pleaded and put his hand on the door handle.
"Let me in. I want to help you."

There was a long silence before a weak voice said.
"The door is open."

Now Leonard was really concerned. No one is allowed on Sheldon's room!

He slowly press the handle down and open the door, to see Sheldon curled up in his bed, his back to him.
"Shelly?" He tried.

"Lenny?"

Leonard gave a weak smile and sat down next to Sheldon's feet.

"That's right. I'm here to comfort you Shelly, It breaks my heart when you are unhappy."

Usually Sheldon would have spit out a comment like 'It is impossible for a real heart to 'break'.' But he don't. He just sit up in his bed so he sits beside Leonard, crossing his legs.

"I don't want to visit the funeral alone." He whisper and rub his face with his hands, wiping his tears away.

"Then I'll go with you!" Leonard say sternly and put an arm around Sheldon's shoulders.
He don't move away, actually he lean in to the embrace.
Sheldon never let anyone touch him, much less hug him.

A little surprised Leonard put both arms around his buddy's back and Sheldon putting his own arms around Leonard's shoulders.

"Thank you Lenny." He whisper and snuggle up in the embrace.

"Anytime buddy." Leonard say and hug Sheldon tighter, enjoying the only hug he probably will get from Sheldon.
"..anytime.."
