when was the last time you felt lucky to be you

THE DOORS TO Derek's loft slid open, signalling that Jennifer had arrived.

Hope peered over Stiles' shoulder, her breath tickling his neck and cheek as they hid in the shadows. He glanced at her, his eyes shining brightly in the dark atmosphere and he slowly licked his lips before reaching over and gripping her hand. She looked up at him as she felt his long fingers intertwine with hers.

"Derek?" Jennifer yelled, her heel s clicking on the floor as she rushed inside frantically, interrupting their moment. "Derek where are you?"

"Right here," Derek replied, walking towards her from the shadows.

"Oh thank god." She sighed out in relief.

Lightening lit up the room from the outside, thunder clapping in the distance as she quickly pulled Derek into a hug. She pulled away with a shaky breath, her brown eyes wide. "Something happened at the recital. At the school," she rambled, "okay, I need to tell you before you hear it, before you hear any of it from them."

"From who?"

"Scott, Stiles, and Hope. They're gonna tell you things. Things you can't believe. You have to trust me, okay?" Jennifer practically pleaded with him.

Derek frowned, "what is it?"

"Promise you'll listen to me."

The alpha paused for a second before giving a short nod. "Promise."

And then she kissed him. The only sound was the storm in the distance, and when Derek didn't kiss back or wrap his arms around her like he usually would, she knew that something was off.

Opening her eyes, she pulled away and looked at him with no expression. "They're already here, aren't they?"

The three teenagers took this as their signal to come out from the shadows, glaring at Jennier.

Hope tilted her head and pursed her lips. "Hello, bitch."

"So," Jennifer attempted to keep the act up, looking back at Derek, "they told you it was me? That I'm the one taking people?"

Scott cut in, "we told him you're the one killing people," he spat out in disgust.

"Oh, that's right," the dark haired woman chuckled sarcastically, "committing human sacrifices? What, cutting their throats? Yeah, I probably do it on my lunch hour. That way I can get back to teaching high school English the rest of the day. That makes perfect sense."

"Actually, yes it does," Hope spoke up, smirking, taking a step closer, but not getting too far because her hand was still in Stiles'. "You hid in plain sight so people would overlook you. You made it look like you'd be busy doing school work so we wouldn't think it was you. And that night with Boyd and Cora in the boiler room, I bet that was on purpose so you could get close to Derek without it looking suspicious." She scoffed.

"Where's my dad?" Stiles interrupted, tears slipping down his cheeks.

"How should I know?" Jennifer shook her head and then looked back at the Hale. "Derek, tell me you don't believe this."

Derek looked away from his girlfriend, looking up at the three teenagers who were all staring back at him.

Stiles couldn't stop the tears streaming down his face, and Hope squeezed his hand. She traced the skin on the back of his hand with her thumb.

"Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?" Derek looked back at Jennifer, his tone hard.

"Why did you try to kill Lydia?" Hope snapped, glaring at Jeniffer.

"And Hope," Scott added, glancing at the tribrid who seemed to not care that her life was in danger, that she had almost died.

"Lydia Martin?" The woman asked with furrowed brows. "Hope? I don't know anything about that."

"What do you know?" Derek prompted, his tone and eyes becoming hard.

"I know that these kids, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story," Jennifer rushed out before turning to face the teenagers. "And one they can't prove, by the way."

Scott's expression hardened even further, reaching into his jacket pocket to pull out a small jar containing a poison that would prove their theory. "What if we can?"

"What is that?" Jennifer stared at the jar, eyes wide with fear.

Scott began walking forwards as he unscrewed the lid. "My boss told me it's a poison and a cure, which means you can use it and it can be used against you."

"Mistletoe?" She realized before Scott threw the contents inside at her.

Their former English teacher screeched inhumanly as the powder formed a cloud around her. She waved her arms about, and then out of the shadows appeared a face. Milky eyes, rubbery skin as white as paper, blackened teeth, and deep, pink slashes replaced Jennifer's beauty. She let out a roar before managing to go back to her former state.

She breathed heavily as Derek stared at her, his blue eyes wide.

Just as Jennifer dashed forwards to make a run for the door, Derek effortlessly moved in front of her and grabbed her neck. His face was hard, his eyes unforgiving.

"Derek, Derek, wait! You need me," she struggled to breathe with the grip he had on her.

"What are you?" Derek seethed.

"The only person who can save your sister," she clenched her eyes shut, "her life, it's in my hands!"

He lifted her up higher off of the ground, tightening his hold until she was turning purple in the face.

Hope narrowed her eyes and was waiting for Derek to go for the kill. Hell, she wanted to go for the kill. The voice in her head was telling her to help Derek with killing Jennifer. Ever since she snapped Kali's neck, something has twisted away in her. It was like when she allowed the Hollow to take over.

But as Jennifer began to grunt, a sign that it was almost over for her, Stiles cut in, "stop. Derek, stop!" That's what snapped Hope out of her dark thoughts and she reeled herself in, tightening her grip on Stiles' hand which brought her back from the edge.

Derek listened, giving Jennifer a chance to pull away to say, "Stilinski, you'll never find him."

"Derek!" Scott called as the alpha began to strangle her more, "Derek!"

The dark haired man threw her to the ground just as thunder rumbled in the distance.

She breathed heavily before chuckling. "That's right," she smirked, "you need me. All of you."

Hope scoffed and glared at the woman. "I don't need you." She tugged at Stiles' hand, pulling him away from the psychotic woman. "We'll find your dad. I promise." She stopped in front of him and reached over for his other hand so that their combined hands were between them. "Okay?" She looked him in the eyes and he swallowed thickly, his thumbs grazing over her soft hands. "I promise, Stiles."

IT WAS POURING down harshly against the windows of the jeep as it followed behind Derek and Jennifer.

Scott and Stiles sat in the front seats while Hope was in the back. Her hands were stuffed in the hoodie Stiles had gave her. She was struggling to keep herself situated seeing as Jennifer had given her some mistletoe which finally was beginning to mess with her.

"I don't know, something just doesn't feel right," Stiles murmured, his eyes on the road, "you know, we proved it to Derek, and she still had this look like it didn't matter. You know, like it was all still going according to plan. You guys saw it, didn't you?"

Neither teenager said anything, but both knew that he was right. Stiles was almost always right.

They pulled up at the hospital a couple of minutes later, climbing out of the car quickly.

Stiles went around the back and grabbed a wooden bat, causing Scott to look at him strangely. "What? You got claws. I got a bat," he said with a shrug.

Hope's lips hugged upwards and she snorted. "Come on, batboy."

"It's Batman," he mumbled and she simply rolled her eyes at him with a fond smile as they made their way into the building.

When they made it inside the hospital, the lights were flickering and was moving towards exits and phones were ringing all at once.

The group marched on, ignoring everyone until they heard a woman call for Scott. It was Melissa and she had a bewildered expression on her face, sweat was seen on her forehead. "Guys," She called out, placing a hand on Scott's shoulder.  "What are you doing here?" She questioned, looking up into his eyes. "The hospital's closing." Thats when she looked over at Hope and her brown eyes widened. "What the hell happened?!"

Hops shook her head. "I'm fine."

"There's dried blood everywhere!" She gently grasped Hope's wrist and pulled her closely to take a look at the wound.

Even though the tribrid was a little annoyed, she also appreciated the worry. "It's almost completely healed. I'm fine, Melissa." The first sentence might be true, but she wasn't completely fine. There was some lingering mistletoe in her system which seemed to be messing with her magic still. It was tightening around her lungs, squeezing them. It was gradually getting harder to breath, let alone stand. But, she is going to ignore it and try to save the day. Like always.

Scott stepped closer to them. "We're looking for Cora."

"What, all of you?" She glanced over at everyone, and decided to not say anything about the grip Derek had on Jennifer. She then furrowed her brows, "why does Stiles have my bat?"

Stiles glanced down at the stolen bat held tightly in his hands, but he didn't reply.

"Mum, just trust me on this. You need to get out of here," Scott ignored her question, his similar brown eyes filled with worry. "Right now."

"The building is supposed to be clear in thirty minutes. We've got two ambulances that are coming back. One's ten minutes out, the other's twenty. Cora needs to be on one of those. They'll be picking up in the basement garage," Melissa explained, giving in even though she doesn't want these teenagers to be in trouble. But, she knows it's inevitable.

Scott nodded, "Got it."

The five of them took off down the corridor, slipping inside an elevator.

Hope stood protectively in front of Stiles and Scott toward the back of the elevator. While, Derek and Jennifer placed themselves in the center, in front of them.

Stiles' fingers twitched eagerly as he held the bat, looking as though he wanted to bash Jennifer's head in then and there.

All three of the teenagers felt hatred toward the woman, each one of them wanting to take her down for their own reasons.

She took Stiles' father, Deaton, and now she was trying to take Cora and Hope off the board completely. It didn't help that she had also tried to kill Lydia.

"You don't have to keep me on a leash, Derek," Jennifer announced, lips twitching. "I'm going to help."

"Will you shut up?" Hope grumbled, dogging her nails into her palms. Her thoughts kept turning dark and she didn't like it. She didn't want to be the destruction that the witches had thought she would be. She wants to be the hero, the one who helps instead of destroys.

The elevator soon chimed, signaling that they had reached their destination as the doors slid open and revealed a hallway with flickering lights.

Derek exited first, his grip on Jennifer unwavering as he drug her along. Scott and Stiles walked on either side of Hope as they made their way down the hallway.

When they approached Cora's room, they all froze.

There was no one inside.

On the floor next to the bed was a large puddle of black blood mixed with mistletoe.

"Look." Hope pointed out a trail of black droplets that led out of the room and down the hallway. They led all the way down to a set of double doors, from behind them; they could hear sounds of struggling.

They followed the trail with their eyes until they moved onto the doors.

Suddenly, the doors flew open, and out slid Peter Hale on his back, sliding across the tiled floor until his head hit the tips of Hope's shoes

She looked down, a perplexed expression on her face as he let out a pained groan. "Well, hello there."

"We got a problem. Big problem."

They looked up to see the twins in megawolf form, growling.

Derek attacked first and lasted a bit longer than Hope thought he would. Scott then ran forward, and almost jumped on the megawolf but he was shoved off immediately with no effort.

The auburn haired girl sighed, before growling loudly, her eyes shining bright with a golden color.

Derek had already taken off down the hallway, hands outstretched to throw the Voltron Wolf back when Hope jumped into the air.

The Voltron Wolf retaliated, its elbow falling down hard on Derek's spine, sending him stumbling.

Hope growled in rage as she came down on the gigantic wolf, her hand in the shape of a fist. Her hand hit the twins in the face harshly, sending a loud 'crack' through the hallway.

Reacting quickly, the wolf grabbed her by the waist with one large hand, and flung her down the hallway.

"Hope!" Stiles shouted and went to run forward, but was stopped when Hope weakly raised her hand. "Hope..."

"I'm good," she grunted out and stumbled up to her feet, using the wall for support. She could usually hold her own pretty well, but the mistletoe was really messing with her energy.

Derek howled and sent a harsh blow to the Voltron Wolf's abdomen, only causing them to get angrier.

They reared back their elbow, firing it at Derek's face, and he let out a whimper as his head moved to the side.

Scott was finally able to gather himself and headed straight for the conjoined Alpha

The twins slammed Derek against the wall, turning to face Scott as he launched himself at the wall, using its momentum to propel himself at the twins. He swiped his claws at them, but the twins dodged with ease.

Something behind the battle had caught Stiles' eyes, a body was lying on the floor; Cora. He patted Peter's shoulder, "Help me." With that, they were already running past the twins and toward Cora's unconscious body.

The twins wrapped their hand around Scott's neck, cutting off his airway as they held him up against the wall.

"Hey!" Hope shouted and flung her hand out at the conjoined wolf. A gust of wind was pushed from her hand and toward the twins, which sent them flinging back into the opposite wall. "Stop!" She exclaimed loudly and felt herself weaken even more. It seemed that when she uses her magic, her guard is down, allowing the mistletoe to seep into her more.

"All we want is her!" Voltron Wolf growled out.

By the time everyone realized that they were talking about Jennifer, it was too late. The woman was backing up into the elevator, and no one, not even someone with supernatural speed, could have been able to stop her.

The Voltron Wolf growled before releasing Scott before running down the hallway after the woman.

Peter hastily grabbed a hold of his niece and place her over his shoulder.

With that, they managed to stumble through the next set of doors.

From behind them, Derek exclaimed, "Don't stop! Don't stop!"

And they didn't.

Well, except for Stiles.

Stiles' idiotic plan consisted of swinging the bat upside the twins' head. When the bat connected with their head, it caused a shower of splinters to erupt, the bat completely breaking apart in the process. He then quickly rushed over toward his friends, standing by the doors once again, his converses squeaking against the floor as he tried to get away from the angered twins.

With narrowing eyes, Hope used a lot of energy to jump into the air, her fingers curling around the edge of a light, ripping it out of the ceiling and allowing it to soar toward the Voltron Wolf.

Electricity crackled as the light smacked against them, successfully buying the group enough time to escape.

The four of them were behind Peter, who was still carrying an unconscious Cora. He had turned into a room and Hope couldn't help but let out a breath of relief when the four of them entered as well.

Stiles stood protectively next to Hope while Derek shut the doors behind him.

Almost instantly as the doors were secured, Hope's legs gave out on her and she stumbled toward the floor. But, Stiles was quick to catch her seeing as he was the closet, his arms wrapping around her waist.

"Woah, hey, hey," he murmured against her head as they fell to the floor together. He ran his hand through her hair, realizing how sweaty and pale she was. "Why didn't you say anything?"

She grunted. "I'm fine."

Peter looked away from Cora to ask Derek, "Where's the big guy?"

"He's close," Derek muttered, keeping a look out for any sign of the twins.

"What about Ms. Blake?" Stiles asked, realizing that they were shy one person. He knew that if Jennifer got away, there'd be no way to save Cora or Hope — and no way to find his father in time.

Hope grunted even louder this time, scoffing. "Who the hell even knows anymore."

"What do you mean? What does that mean? Like, she's gone? Are you kidding me?" Stiles exclaimed, his heart pounding against his rib cage in anticipation. His arms tightened around Hope who was taking in deep breaths now.

"Shh, quiet," Derek told Stiles like he was a child. But, his eyes were on Hope in worry upon seeing how tired the girl looks.

"Me be quiet? Me, huh?" Stiles asked in disbelief and anger. "Are you telling me what to do now? When your psychotic, mass murdering girlfriend... the second one you've dated, by the way... has got my dad somewhere, tied up, waiting to be ritually sacrificed?"

"Stiles," Hope spoke softly and turned around as she gripped his hand, entwining their fingers together.

"Stiles, they're still out there," Scott told his best friend with a look of slight fear.

"And... and they want her, right?" Stiles questioned and Hope nodded. "Which means now we don't have her either, so my dad and Cora are both dead!"

Hope was now the one who pulled him into her side, rubbing his other arm with her free hand.

"Not yet," Scott interjected, shaking his head determinedly.

The tension still hung over all of them like a thick fog, a butter knife would be able to cut through it. He made his way over to Peter, who was attending to Cora, "Is she really dying?"

"She's definitely not getting any better," Peter admitted, frowning as he stared down at his unconscious niece.

"There has to be something that we can do. We have to help her."

"You can't. Only I can." Jennifer busted into the room, interrupting Scott. "I can save her, and I can tell you where Sheriff Stilinski is. But, there's a pack of Alphas in this hospital who want me dead. So, I'll help you — but only when I'm out of here and safe. Only then."

Hope jumped up to her feet, pulling Stiles with her.

But, no one was given the chance to respond as Derek flung a metal table across the room trying to reach Jennifer.

"Derek, wait!" Scott exclaimed, holding the angered Alpha back.

"She was trying to get out!" Derek excused angrily. Not only did she play him like a puppet, but she put his sister in danger. And, even though he hasn't and won't admit it out loud, he cares for Hope who Jennifer also put in danger and was currently on the brink of passing out.

"I was trying to keep from getting killed! You can't blame me for that," Jennifer stated, rolling her dark eyes.

"If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal them," Stiles said. pointing towards Hope and Cora.

"Not until I'm safe," Jennifer bargained, causing Hope to roll her eyes.

"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion," Peter chimed in. "Let's torture her."

"Works for me," Derek and Hope stated at the same time causing them to glance at one another.

Before Scott could protest Melissa's voice came over the hospital intercom went off. "Um, can I have your attention? Mr. Deucalion... Excuse me, just Deucalion... requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the ER reception. Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes."

Jennifer sighed before speaking, "He's not gonna hurt her."

"Shut up!" Derek snapped loudly.

Hope found herself snickering as she grew overjoyed with Derek's presence as the night went on.

"He won't!" Jennifer insisted, looking towards Scott. "Scott, you know why." She tilted her head. "Tell them it's true."

"What the hell is she talking about?" Stiles demanded, brows furrowed as he tightened his grip on Hope's hand.

Scott was silent, not saying a word.

Jennifer let out an annoyed sigh. "Derek's not the only one he wants in his pack." She smirked and added, "Deucalion doesn't just want an Alpha pack. He wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of creatures and the rarest of Alphas to his ranks."

"A True Alpha," Peter mumbled with wide eyes and everyone glanced at him with confused eyes.

"And not only does he want Scott, he also wants Hope, though he knows it'll be harder to convince her." Jennifer eyed the tribrid with power-hungry eyes. "I should've just killed you and gained all your powers."

Hope sighed heavily. "Everyone wants to be a tribrid until they have to be one."

Stiles frowned at that. "What's a true Alpha?"

"The kind that doesn't have to steal his power from another," Peter began to explain, knowing exactly what they were. "One that can rise by the force of his own will. Our little Scott." He then slid his gaze over to the short girl. "And I still can't believe your powers."

"It doesn't matter," Scott announced, looking toward Jennifer and stated, "We still need to get her out of here."

"Scott, your mom—"

"My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in twenty minutes. And I - I don't think we've been here that long," Scott explained, shaking his head slightly, "so if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here."

"The twins aren't gonna to let us just walk out," Peter pointed out.

"I'll distract them," Scott assured, and Hope opened her mouth, about to protest but Derek was the one who spoke up.

"You mean fight them," he concluded.

Scott nodded. "Whatever I have to do."

"I'll help you," Derek agreed, nodding his head.

Jennifer was quick to interject: "Um, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek."

Hope narrowed her eyes. "Can you get over yourself? You used him, manipulated him. He isn't going to be your safe place. He probably wants to kill you the most out of all of us."

Jennifer rolled her eyes. "I'm still not leaving without him."

"I'll do it," Peter stated, holding his head high. "But I'd prefer to be out there with an advantage."

"An advantage like what? You mean like a weapon?" Stiles pondered, licking his lips.

"Something better than a baseball bat."

And with that, they were left to search for something that could be of use to Peter.

Hope found herself groggily digging through drawers, trying to not fall over from exhaustion.

"Hey, wait — what about these?" Stiles cried out and Hope looked over to see Stiles holding up a defibrillator.

"Do you know how to use it?" Derek asked with a tilt of his head.

Looking down at them bashfully, Stiles mumbled: "Well, no."

"Put 'em down."

The boy seemed to frown a bit, feeling discouraged as he slowly set the object down before going on to look for something else.

Hope then smirked, an idea coming to mind. She turned to Peter and looked up into his bright blue eyes. "I got a spell that will work like Epinephrine."

Derek turned to her with raised brows, impressed. "You do?" He then frowned, worried when he saw her pale features and sweaty forehead. "Don't you think you should rest a little?"

She squared her shoulders. "I'm fine." She then turned to Peter with a determined expression. "Come on." She reached over and placed her hands on his arm. He could feel his muscles tense up at her touch, but he didn't remove himself. She closed her eyes and mumbled, "viribus." Her hands blowed brightly and then flickered before she stumbled back a little.

Stiles was right behind her, and caught her with gentle hands. "I got you," he whispered and wrapped his arms around her waist to help her stand. "I got you."

Peter perked up, his eyes wide and his pupils dilated like he just did drugs. "I can feel the magic coursing through me." He then smirked and faced the door.

As Peter staggered out of the room, Scott was quick to follow.

The double doors swung shut and Hope could instantly hear growling sounding from the other side, she quickly made her way toward the door, peering around it as she searched for their window of opportunity.

She saw that the twins were too invested in fighting Scott and Peter, so she looked to everyone behind her, nodded and motioned for them to go.

Once Derek, who was carrying Cora, and Jennifer slipped down the hallway, Stiles immediately grabbed Hope's hand, interlacing their fingers before forcefully tugging her down the hallway seeing as her energy was quickly fading as she slowly rotted away.

They found themselves rushing down the corridor, following the signs that directed them toward the garage.

They crashed through the doors and Stiles exclaimed, "it's still here!" He allowed them to go through first and then quickly darted in front of them, opening the doors to the ambulance.

Hope let out a whine as Stiles attempted to help her into the ambulance. He guided her to the bench near the stretcher that Derek had put Cora in.

"Derek," Jennifer's voice called out from the outside, "Over here."

Hope swallowed thickly, allowing her head to rest on the wall behind her, her heart thudding loudly in her chest.

"Julia," a new voice sang from outside, and it made the tribrid tense up. "It is you." It was Nyx, the younger sister of Kali.

Hope tried to blink back the tiredness and nodded towards the open ambulance doors. Stiles quickly stood, grabbing both handles and pulling them shut before locking them.

Just barely, they were able to hear the rest of the conversation, Jennifer being the first one to speak, "You can't beat her on your own."

"I know," Derek agreed. "That's why we're gonna run." With that, they were gone.

While Stiles was checking the doors, making sure that they were tightly shut, HopeMs vision darkened as she felt her brain begin to shut down and soon, her head fell to the side and she went unconscious.

"Okay," the boy muttered, tugging once before turning back to the bench. "Oh, my — Hope!" He moved to kneel in front of her. "Why do you look like you're not breathing?" He reached forward with a shaky hand and felt for her pulse. To his horror, her heartbeat was slow, almost nonexistent. "Oh, god, no." He began to freak out, his breathing going uneven. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he lost her. "No, no, no." He took in a deep breath, reeling himself in.

"Okay, okay, okay." he repeated, rolling up his sleeves as he stared down at Hope who he moved to lay down on her back. "You can do this. Here we go, tilt the head. Fingers on the chin — clear the throat. Great, nothing. I see nothing. Okay, all right, so, uh..." Stiles paused, licking his lips as he stared down at hers. He cleared his throat and took in a deep breath. "Just pinch the nose and blow."

But, just before Stiles' mouth fell on Hope's, the tribrid jerked away, her eyes widening. Her vision was blurry so when she jerked upwards, her forehead hit Stiles' and they both shouted out in surprise.

"Damn!" He exclaimed. "You don't gotta knock me out. All I was trying to do was save your life."

Hope rubbed her forehead and looked up at him with big eyes. She blushed deeply when she realized what was about to happen, and then she began to feel guilty.

Even though she was clearly not with Landon anymore, it still felt wrong, like she was dishonoring the relationship they had.

Swallowing thickly, she slowly sat up and looked away from the human boy who sat beside her. She licked her lips and looked down at her fingers which were pinching at her shirt.

"What's wrong?" Stiles asked, shifting slightly, his cheeks red from what just happened. He cleared his throat and furrowed his brows at her quiet form. "Well... other than everything at the moment."

Her lips quirked up at that and then she sighed heavily. "I have a boyfriend." Her eyes widened and so did Stiles'. "Well... I mean, I did have a boyfriend. Not anymore, though, obviously. But, like... I just keep thinking about him. And the others — my friends."

Stiles swallowed thickly, his heart feeling like it was breaking at her words. Of course he knew she had a life before them — before him. But, it's not like it didn't hurt any less.

"I miss them," she mumbled. "I even miss Lizzie being mean to me. And I miss MG's superhero quotes. I miss Rafael's warm hugs. I miss Kaleb's singing. I miss Josie's calm words. I miss fighting with Alaric. And I miss... Landon." She glanced at him briefly before looking away. "But, at the same time, I don't miss that world. I just... I was able to restart here. I was able to meet all of you. I wouldn't trade any of that for anything."

He licked his lips and she could see his adam's apple bob up and down. "Would you still go back?" He closed his eyes and rolled them at himself.

She furrowed her brows at the question. "I honestly don't know anymore..."

He jerked his head in her direction in confusion. "But...."

"I have moved on, I think," she whispered. "And they still don't have any memories of me. By now, they have all moved on without me. Maybe Landon has found himself someone." She glanced at Stiles and thought, 'maybe like I have'. She then jumped at her own thoughts. Where did that come from?

"I don't know how anyone would forget you and move on," Stiles commented and then blushed deeply as he realized he said it out loud.

She blushed at his words, too. She slowly reached over and gripped his hand. "Stiles... Is everything going to be okay?" She usually never lets herself get vulnerable, but Stiles just brings that side out of her. Plus, she is scared. There is too many threats going on at once and it's hard to figure out what the next move was.

"Scott has got this handled," Stiles mumbled as he moved his body and pulled her into him before wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her into his chest. "Can't believe I just said that." Hope chuckled at that. "I actually used to be the one with the plan. Well, or at least a plan B. Now I don't know. Now I'm thinking that maybe Cora was right. You know, maybe - maybe we are pretty much useless. Maybe all we really do is show up and find the bodies. I don't want to find my father's body, Hope."

Hope frowned and tears gathered in her blue eyes. She closed her eyes and gripped his hands. "I won't let that happen, Stiles. I promised you and you already know I own up to my promises."

The moment was short-lived, the two held their breath the second they heard the loud banging of the door that led into the garage.

Hope closed her eyes, took in a deep breath, laid her hands on the wall of the ambulance, and meekly whispered, "Nullum visa laris." It was suppose to make the ambulance seem empty while also making it so that they couldn't be heard.

The silhouette of the Voltron Wolf could be seen and they glanced over at Cora to make sure she was alright.

It was a few minutes later when the sound of the garage door being opened again.

Hope had been the one closer to the doors that time, and she weakly moved so that she could peek out to see if it was another Alpha strolling through in search for Jennifer.

The second that she leaned in, she went jumping back as a hand slammed hard on the window, Scott's face came into view as he stared in confusion at the empty ambulance.

Hope let out a relieved breath and released the spell. She couldn't help the snort as Scott jumped back in surprise from her just appearing in front of him.

With that, she pushed the door open and tilted her head at him. "Hello there, Scotty." Peter had been hanging off his side, looking in worse condition than Scott.

She moved out of the so that Scott and Peter could make their way inside the ambulance.

When they were seated, Stiles turned to look back at Scott. "Where's Derek and Jennifer?"

"I have to go back for them," Scott explained, "And my mom."

"Okay, two problems," Stiles began, frowning as he glanced over at Hope. "Nyx has got the keys to this thing, and we just saw the twins like, thirty seconds ago."

"Stay here."

TIRES SCREECHING TO a halt caused all three of them to jump into action. Peter swung open the ambulance door, getting out first to grab a hold of the front of Cora's body while Stiles took her legs.

"Come on, come on," Isaac ushered before noticing Hope trying to step from from the ambulance. He rushed over quickly and caught her just as she stumbled forward. "Wow!" She was now tucked against his chest like a bride, and she looked up at him with big blue eyes. "Damn, Hope. Are you okay?"

She grunted and then whimpered as pain shot through her whole body.

"If you say you're fine, I'm going to drop you," he told her and then sighed when she simply just chuckled at him.

"I got this," Stiles said a little harshly as he appeared by them, his hands already reaching out to hold her waist.

Isaac furrowed his brows. "I can help, too."

Hope rolled her eyes as she gripped them both by their wrists. "I can do this on my own if you two just want to whip it out right now."

They both blushed heavily and worked together to help her into the backseat of the car. She was seated beside Cora, the brunette's head on her lap.

Hope then paused and turned to Stiles who wasn't getting into the car with her. He was next to the ambulance while staring at something on the door. "Stiles!" She shouted, and was already moving out of the car when she noticed him looking towards the door.

Before anyone had the chance to stop him, he was bolting out of the door and back into the hospital.

"Stiles, no!" Hops shouted out to the fleeing boy. She got out of the car quickly and attempted to run after him, but Isaac had been quick to hold her back, his hands gripping onto her hips tightly.

"Hope, we need to go," he pleaded, trying to guide her into backseat of the car.

Hope tried to fight out of his hold, "We can't leave them!"

"Hope," Isaac snapped, moving his hand away from her hips so that he could grab ahold of her face. "You're dying! How far do you really think you'll get before you collapse, huh? We need to go."

She narrowed her eyes and stood straighter at his words. "I'm fine!" She snapped and shoved him harshly before running after Stiles.

She had caught up to him faster than she thought she could, and he skidded to a sudden halt.

Hops stopped just in time for her chest to graze his back. She let out a nervous breath before looking down at the floor of the elevator to see a hurt Derek.

Instantly, the tribrid fell to the floor and cradled his head onto her lap, and grabbed his face with delicate fingers. "Wake up, Derek." She closed her eyes tightly, her lips pulled up into a grimace as she tried to use her magic. But, when bile rose up into her throat, she stopped and looked down at him with wide eyes. "Don't kill me for this." With that said, she raised her hand to her head, and then flogged him in the face.

He sat up quickly, his eyes flashing for a second before going back to their original green color.

Hope looked back up just to see Stiles gone. She panicked, standing up just in time for Stiles to come around the corner with teary eyes.

"What happened?" She asked gently, her voice cracking and she could barely hold herself up. But, she didn't care. She needed to be there for Stiles and whatever he was going through right now.

Stiles let out a sob and fell into her arms, and the both of them fell to the floor in a heap.

She frowned, but tightened her hold on him, whispering sweet words.

That only meant one that — Scott took the bait and was now working with Deucalion.
