Laura Kinney, or X-23, was never meant to have a normal life. Unlike most, she wasn't born—she was created in a lab by the Facility, crafted from Wolverine's DNA to be the ultimate assassin. With two razor-sharp Adamantium claws in each hand and one in each foot, her purpose was clear: to kill.

From a young age, Laura was subjected to relentless training, her every moment focused on mastering the art of death. Her mother fought desperately to protect the remnants of Laura's humanity, but the odds were stacked against her as the ruthless conditioning took its toll. Laura became increasingly trapped in the role they forced upon her, a living weapon with no semblance of a normal life.

At just ten years old, she was sent on missions across the globe, taking lives when she should have been living a childhood. But Laura wasn't made to experience childhood or love—her entire existence revolved around a singular objective: killing.

But everything changed when the Avengers uncovered the Facility's operations in Mexico City. They intervened, rescuing Laura and ten other children, bringing them to safety in the United States.

Now sixteen, Laura is trying to navigate a new world at Midtown High School, but her mission isn't over. This time, her task is different: to keep an eye on Peter Parker.
