10 Surpriseful helper
POV Punzie
"Take a turn to the right. They're closing some location," I kept on explaining the route. Once they get there it would be Hiccup's turn to hack the blueprints and possible security cameras. He will get them in safely and I'm sure of it.
"Copy that," Hiccup replied. I saw their car turning on the screen. Their distance to that van which supposively has Anna is now one hour.
"Now drive straight until you reach the next city. I'll alert you if something changes and I'll continue guiding you when we know where they went there," I told to them.
"Thanks Punz," Jack spoke to me.
"No problem," I smiled even though they can't see me.
I closed the microphone of mine, I have an earplug still in my ear so I can hear if something goes wrong.
"I didn't know that your husband is such a crazy driver," I grinned to Merida. She had been behind me this whole time.
"Lass, you have no idea. When situation is serious he will do whatever it takes," Merida chuckled. Then she turned serious all of a sudden.
"What is it?" I asked from her while we were going to get some coffee from the breakroom. So we don't fall asleep in the middle of everything.
"Where were you all this time? Everyone went to your funeral," she frowned. I open up the door for her and go inside right after her. We got coffee mugs and sat around the table. I heard some minor chatting coming from my earplug, Jack and Elsa were talking.
"Uh... We escaped into tunnels and ended up in The Snuggly Duckling. There we were helped out, however we then saw how Pitch Black was running around free. He was wounded but not dead," I sighed.
"That's when we decided that we need to keep an eye on them. Disappear and be thought dead since we heard about their plan to hurt everyone who was dealing with Jack and Elsa," I continued.
"Everyone? I think that nothing has happened to me or Hiccup, or Hiro and his friends," Merida mumbled and took a sip of her coffee.
"They planned to blame the death of Basil on Hiccup and then your father for doing false evidence. Trust me, this is a really big picture which I found out from Basil when I found out that he has been onto something for long time," I whispered.
"So you could've stopped Elsa being kidnapped. You knew about the plan to kill Basil!" Merida gasped, she sounded angry.
I just shook my head, "Unfortunately I didn't know that they planned to use Elsa for that. My parents gave us their summer location for shelter. I'm sorry that it took this long for us to contact everyone. Hiro was one of the first because he was someone who we knew the least amount of time. He wouldn't have been the first one to be targeted by the Nightmares," I say quietly. I mean each word I said.
"Well I'm glad that you're back," Merida finally smiled faintly and touched my arm.
"We're in the city Punz," Elsa's voice spoke.
I stood up and took my mug.
"What is it?" Merida asked.
"We need to guide them to the location. They arrived to the city," I explained while hurrying back to my pc.
"Punz?" Elsa called me.
"I'm here," I said when I sat in front of my pc.
"Tell us where to go," Hiccup spoke. I gave them the instructions and they were getting closer and closer until...
"WAIT!" I raised my voice.
"What's the matter?" Jack asked.
"Drive to an alley, now!" I shouted and gladly I saw their car taking a sharp turn to the alley.
I sighed from relief and my heart was pounding.
"Why so quick change of mind? We literally flew inside the freaking van when Hiccup took the turn," Jack groaned.
"I'm sorry but... There are multiple vehicles in the yard. That's one of Nightmares bases where they went. You can't go inside without extremely good plan and you can't afford to be sighted," I panted out.
"Well, plans are my expertice," Hiccup chuckled.
"Good luck," I told them and they thanked me.
"What now?" Merida looks at me concerned. Basil was busy working with his colleagues, trying to figure out the best ways to get the Nightmares to justice and sentenced.
"We wait," I say as bravely as I can.
POV Elsa
Hiccup parked into the alley where Punzie told us.
"Give me some space," he said quietly and I dodged him when he came to back from the front seat. He went to sit in front of a desk. There he had couple keyboards, on the wall of the van were screens attached.
"Okay, here we go," Hiccup glanced at us when he turned on the pc unit under the desk. The screens began flashing and now the computers were warming up.
Jack took my hand and we went behind Hiccup. Jack's thumb brushed over the back of my hand in soothing way. Slowly I place my head to rest against his shoulder, just a while back I was so sure that I can't feel his touch anymore. I learned to love this annoying man who called himself as Snowflake Burglar who was cocky and arrogant but only because he needed to be.
"So now you just need to find the blueprints and hack the security cameras? Then we can go in?" Jack asked and coughed a bit afterwards.
"Jack?" I asked worryingly. He had squeezed his side while he coughed. He even sounded a bit weak.
"I'm fine," Jack grinned and messed up my hair a bit. Again the memory of me stabbing him lurked into my mind. It was torturing me in the inside. Jack seemed to notice it because he kissed my cheek before Hiccup noticed a thing.
"Yeah... YES! It opened up," Hiccup cheered and began typing on the PC like crazy. I let go of Jack's hand and we go closer.
Images are flashing on the other screen as he is crypting some code on the other screen. He keeps switching between the keyboards, his eyes follow each screen.
"Aaaaand--," Hiccup began enthusiastically, "DONE!"
He grinned and span around with his chair. "Now we have the blueprints, next ones up are the cameras," he winked his eye.
Again he was working and Jack went to sit on the van's floor. He pulled me down too and to sit on his lap. Hiccup was fully focused on his job.
"I really missed you," he whispered to my ear.
"You were stupid to make yourself to be the one to blame," I said quietly and tried not to cry.
"My son needed a mother," he replied like it was obvious.
"He needs a father too," I gulped.
"Well he got both, lucky him," Jack said teasingly and chuckled. His arms were tightly around my waist and then he kissed my neck.
"Silly, we need to clear our names," I muttered and patted his arm.
"Soon my dear," Jack whispered to my ear. "First let's get your sister out," he hummed.
"Shit," Hiccup groaned and beat his fist against the table.
"What's wrong Hicc's?" Jack asked immediately. There was something in the way he spoke that alerted me, they knew each other best so something was really badly wrong.
"Ummm... there are no cameras in the area," he sighed.
"That's bad," Jack mumbled. It is bad, it would mean that we would go there without any eyes seeing possible threats beforehand.
Hiccup's cat came out from the front seat. It walked straight to Hiccup, sat in front of him and placed it's paw on his foot. Hiccup stared at his cat with a serious look. The whole van had quieted down like death.
"I GOT IT!" Hiccup shouted. I'm so glad that the van is soundproof. I think?
"What?" I asked as I got up from Jack's lap.
"Back then we found you because of Toothless!" Hiccup grinned.
"I don't get it," I shook my head in misbelieve.
"He had a camera in his collar, he found the lair of Pitch. I bet he can go in again and be our eyes, can't you Buddy?" Hiccup baby talked to Toothless. The cat stretched and closed it's clear green eyes slowly, nodding it's head which shocked me.
"See, he is smart," Hiccup smiled and petted the cat.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Jack laughed and went to Hiccup. They began attaching the camera on Toothless. I just stared at the situation.
"Will it be safe for him?" I whispered.
"Yeah it will. Toothless is smart and to be honest... who would suspect a stray cat?" Hiccup laughed and winked his eye.
"Stray with collar," I mumbled.
"Maybe he ran away," Jack grinned.
Toothless came to purr against me and I smile to him. Then I kneel down, "Please find Anna and help us in. .. Umm.. I trust in you Buddy?" I smiled and spoke insecurely. It licked my hand and I felt relieved.
It worries me, of how Anna is doing. People went to get Kristoff who was really worried of me and Anna disappearing. He had asked from Merida's dad of help how to find us but he couldn't help, he is being supervised. After this we will meet him too at the base of our actions where Basil is.
Hiccup then let the cat out from the van and we went behind the screens. The picture appeared and we had now cat's view point. He was closing in the building.
