Heshiena's Point of View

I was too stunned to speak. Ang tagal din ma-proseso ng utak ko ang sinabi sa akin ni Chrysos. After that lightning strike, bumalik na sa dating mapayapa ang panahon. I freaking offended Zeus? Kailan naman?

"Do not do that again, Heshiena," malamig na sabi sa akin ni Chry. Tinignan ko siya nang nakakunot ang noo. "You could've died. You could've killed us all," she added.

Nanlamig ako sa huli niyang sinabi. I could've killed them? Tinignan ko silang lahat na naguguluhan. I heard Miss Meriam heaved a sigh. Napalunok ako dahil dito. My eyes went straight upon the floor and instantaneously bit my lower lip because of shame.

"Offending a deity is dangerous," narinig kong wika ni Miss Meriam. "They are divine. They are powerful. They are capable of everything. They can kill you instantly. They can curse you and let you rot in eternity," she added.

But I was taken aback when Miss Meriam mentioned the single word that caught my attention. Deities can put a curse on us. Perhaps, that's what happened to me? I erased the thought in my mind by shaking my head twice.

"So, you are romanticizing rape and incest just because they are divine? Just because they are powerful? That they are capable of anything?" I asked Miss Meriam in disbelief.

I heard Miss Meriam heaved a defeated sigh. "I am not romanticizing rape and incest, Heshiena. Yes, it's unforgivable. Please do remember that this happened in ancient times, where laws that we know now perhaps didn't still exist," she said.

That made me think twice. Napalunok ako ng laway. She somehow had a point. Pero hindi pa rin 'yon sapat para mawala ang inis at galit ko sa mga ganiyang bagay.

"This is Greek mythology we are talking about. Which you are now part of that stories," she continued. "Plus." I saw her index finger raised. "The Gods do not have DNA." My eyes grew wider in surprise when she said that.

The Gods don't have DNA? My forehead was quick to furrowed in confusion. Kaya ba dahil uso sa kanila ang usaping incest? Napapikit na lamang ako sa aking mata dahil bigla na lamang kumirot ang ulo ko sa raming impormasyong nalaman ko ngayong umaga.

"Ichor," Miss Meriam mentioned that word once again. "Where it is the 'ethereal fluid' that is the blood of the Greek gods, sometimes said to retain the qualities of the immortal's food and drink, ambrosia and nectar."

Before proceeding, she once again heaved a sigh. "Ichor is described as toxic to humans, killing them instantly if they came in contact with it. That blood runs into your veins. The reason why it grants its beholder divine powers that it inherited from a particular deity."

Miss Meriam's expression upon her face was quick to change.

"Monsters hunt demigods for their ichor to gain them."

Habang ang big three ang pinakamalakas, nakasaad dito na si Zeus daw ang makapangyarihan sa kaniyang mga kapatid sa maraming pagkakataon. I somehow agreed to this. I experienced it earlier how he almost hit me with a lightning strike. Or perhaps, he intentionally didn't hit me.

I wonder if Mavros had that kind of ability.

Sabi rito, ang earth daw ay nahahati sa pagitan ng tatlo at hindi pag-aari ni isa man sa kanila, dahil silang tatlo ay may iba't ibang impluwensya dito at sa mga mortal. Although the big three are the most powerful of the gods due to being rulers of their own realms, the other gods aren't to be underestimated, as they all possess great powers.

Out of nowhere, bigla akong nanabik na kilalanin ang iba pang mga deities.

Especially to Aphrodite and Artemis. I want to know why the academy don't have children of Artemis, Hera, or Hestia. And I am sure there is a reason for it. Or perhaps, wala lang talaga sa ngayon? Muli akong ibinalik ang aking atensyon sa libro bago pa man ako maabutan ng oras para sa susunod na subject namin.
