Thirty Four
It's Spooky Season!
Halloween was rolling in quickly, everyone trying to plan out costumes. Natsu invited them to America to go Trick-or-Treating, and in response to being told "you're to old", he uninvited Gray who was still going to come anyways.
"Okay so! We need your help!" Jellal exclaimed from behind a curtain. "Ready? Give us a rating, one to ten!"
"Come on out." Gajeel and Levy applauded as the curtain opened, but no one was inside?
Suddenly, Jellal and Erza jumped down from the ceiling.
Erza had her hair styled into a weird swoosh, huge round lime green earrings in her ears. She also adorned blue contacts and red lipstick. She had on a black, tight fitting crop top, a white turtleneck shirt that had a cut in the middle with a big red "R" on it. She wore a white skirt that went to her upper thigh and black knee high boots. She also wore black gloves that went right below her shoulder, which was covered by the (quite puffy) sleeves of her shirt.
Jellal had his hair swept out of his face, a thick strand falling in the middle. He (sadly) put makeup over his tattoo with the help of Erza, with green contacts. He wore a black camisole with a white mid-arm length shirt over it. The shirt had a cut in the middle (like Erza's) And was a turtleneck, but his sleeves were longer. He also wore gloves, which the shirt was tucked into. He had a purple belt holding up his white pants which were tucked into his boots. They weren't quite knee-high, though they were kinda tall.
"Prepare for trouble!" Erza and Jellal giggled like a child on Christmas. "And make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation," Erza said dramatically.
"To unite all peoples within our nation!" Jellal exclaimed.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love," Erza placed a hand over her heart.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" Jellal pointed up at the ceiling, looking down?
"Jessie!" Erza held a Pokéball in hand, winking.
"James!" Jellal pulled a rose out from nowhere.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" The two did a pretty cool formation, finishing in unison. "Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meow! Mew!" (Which roughly translates to: "Meowth! That's right!") Pantherlily hopped into the middle, a gold coin on his forehead, meowing loudly.
"Well? What do you think?" Erza's eyes twinkled. "We've been working on it for months!"
"You two are spot on, but," Gajeel snickered. "If Lily's gonna be Meowth, whys he not beige?"
"W-well—"
"And before you ask, no you can not dye him beige." Gajeel glared specifically at Jellal.
"We can just say he's Alolan!?" Jellal barked.
"I give it a ten!" Levy clapped. "That was really nice, you two!"
"Now what will our GaLe couple dress up as?" Erza hummed, placing a finger on her chin. "It has to be something cute... hmm..."
"Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf?" Jellal chirped.
"Didn't the wolf get clocked or whatever at the end? It tried to eat her grandma, too." Erza grumbled.
"Okay, wait! What if we all matched? Gajeel would be Ash Ketchum and Levy would be Pikachu? That'd be adorable!" Jellal grinned.
"Omg great idea!" The two ran off to go make the costumes.
"Huh." Levy sweat.
"It makes total sense." Gajeel smirked. "You're so small, but you have a shit ton of power. I think you'll be adorable."
"Thank you, Ash." Levy giggled. "And what will my nickname be? Or did you decide not to name me—"
"Shrimp." Gajeel smirked, Levy punching him.
"Gajeel! I am not a shrimp!" Levy laughed.
"Okay, then what about a fetus? Or a baby sloth?" Gajeel started, but levy turned away with her arms crossed.
"That's crossing the line." She muttered, walking away. "A fetus? The nerve of him..."
"Hey! There's nothing wrong with you being so small!" Gajeel ran up behind her, scooping her up and swinging her around, resting her on his back like a sack of potatoes. "If you were big like me, how would I do this?"
"You do have a point." Levy pouted. "But you're still not forgiven!"
"If I go buy you ice cream, will you forgive me?"
"No."
"Chocolate?"
"Nope."
"What if..." Gajeel places Levy down, raising an eyebrow. He gasped, making a motion with his hands. "I took you to the library?"
Levy's eyes filled with stars and she took her hand in is. "Why didn't you say so? Lead the way, Gajeel!"
They walked past the many doors, stopping at Erza and Jellal's room. Gajeel knocked softly, hearing shuffling and a small squeak.
"Y-Yes sir!" Erza's voice sounded a bit labored. "Don't come i-in!"
"Um..." Gajeel said awkwardly. "Levy and I are going to the library."
"Oh, give us a minute!" Jellal grunted, Erza whining a small "noooo".
"You guys can stay here... we'll be out now, just wanted to let you know." Gajeel cleared his throat, walking away quickly.
Of course, when they got to the library, Gajeel was abandoned as Levy went in search of her books. When she had a stack of 11 books, Gajeel walked up to her.
"Do you wanna take them to America?" He hummed.
"Yes please! Do you have a library card?" Levy grinned.
"No, but we can make one." And so, they did. When they went home, Erza and Jellal were still in their room.
"So how's the costume coming along?" Gajeel called.
"It's going great, sir!" Erza pokes her head out of the door. "But now that we've gotten the fabrics and accessories down... measurement time!"
Erza ran to Levy, dragging her into the bedroom. "Jellal, out."
"Okay, okay." Jellal left the room.
Erza got a measuring tape, wrapping it around Levy's waist, torso and bust. She took her height and such also.
In the works, Erza's hair brushed back to reveal a slightly purple-ish red mark on her collarbone... it appeared to have the outline of teeth. Levy smirked, a devious look in her eyes.
This was payback for all of those times Erza forced Levy into a bra! All of those moments of sheer embarrassment when she walked out of the fitting room.
"Hey, Erza. What's that?" Levy said innocently.
"What?" Erza froze a bit, pretending she didn't know what Levy was talking about.
"That mark on your neck. Could it be a..." Levy's smirk intensified.
"Shut up!" Erza barked, face a raging red color. "Don't you dare say another word!"
"Oh-ho! So it is, eh!" Levy nudged Erza. "Did anything else happen? Give me the deets, we could text Mira some of this juicy info! Maybe even sell her one of your sex tapes—"
"STOP!" Erza exclaimed, face darker than her own hair! Levy laughed, giggling at the end.
"Was it kinky, or are you more of the love making type—"
"GET OUT! WE DON'T SPEAK OF THIS!" Erza pushed Levy out, her face being such a dark shade of red it might as well be purple.
Jellal sweat. "Jesus, what happened in there?"
"Nothing much." Levy wiggled her eyebrows. "But I should be asking you the same thing."
"Eh?" Jellal blushed. "Erzie, I got Gajeel's measurements!"
He disappeared behind the bedroom door. Levy ran into her and Gajeel's bedroom, flopping onto the bed. She started to hum, swinging her foot as she started to read.
"Happy, are we?" Gajeel smirked, walking into the bedroom.
"Mhmm!" Levy nodded, patting the spot next to her. Gajeel flopped beside her, shaking the bed just to get on her nerves. Levy rolled her eyes, smiling. "You read this one. Let's have a book club!"
"Yuck, a book club?" Gajeel poked Levy. She looked at him with those large, hazel eyes... "Fine."
"Yay~!" Levy beamed. The rest of the day was spent reading and cosplay crafting.
~
"Gajeel! Hurry up!" Levy pouted as she rushed through the terminal. They were now in New York, trying to meet Natsu and Lucy.
"I am," Gajeel pokes his tongue out.
"How am I moving faster than you with these short legs?" Levy crossed her arms. "Let's go!"
"Jesus woman, such sass." Gajeel grumbled.
"Jellal," Erza hummed, holding three bags (a backpack, a duffel bag, and a suitcase). "Can you go to Starbucks and get me a caramel macchiato upside down iced with three sugars?"
"Yes, Erza." Jellal smiled. "Hey Gajeel, wanna tag along?"
Jellal left a clearly obvious wink, making Erza shake her head with a hand over her face.
"Sure," Gajeel kisses Levy's cheek. "Don't do anything too risky, now."
The two walked in a different direction.
When Erza and Levy met up with Lucy, Lucy looked around confused. "Where's the boys?"
"Went to run some errands." Levy and Erza said in unison. Lucy shrugged.
"Whatever. So I have some news, but I haven't told the guys yet." Lucy whispered. "Wanna hear?"
"Sure," The girls formed a super-secret-telling circle, Lucy whispering the news.
"W-WHAT?" Levy shrieked.
"That's crazy!" Erza gawked. "When?"
"A couple weeks ago." Lucy blushed, walking to the car. She unlocked the door, Levy sitting in the front and Erza in the back. "Juvia and Wendy both know."
"Will Wendy be coming?" Erza asked, staring out the window.
"Yeah, they're driving here." Wendy was almost eight and a half months pregnant, the baby was due in a week.
"Ah," Erza nodded. She wanted to laugh, wondering what Wendy looked like now. They arrived at the Dragneel household after maybe 2 hours due to traffic.
"I'm home!" Lucy called, hearing sounds of video games from the living room. Meredy and Natsu were playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
"Where's the boys? I wanted to crack open a cold one." Natsu frowned, focused on the screen.
He didn't even look away from the screen... Lucy sweat. "How did you—"
"I can't hear Jellal's super gay voice." Natsu grumbled, shrieking as he was bitch slapped off the board. "And Gajeel walks really loud."
"You're not gonna give me a welcome kiss?" Lucy pouted, crossing her hands over her chest.
"Nope." Natsu snickered, making Lucy start to cry. He was sure she wasn't faking. "Because you took away my— Luce, why're you crying? I-I was just joking!"
Natsu put down his controller, walking over to his now sobbing wife and pulling her into an awkward hug. "Luce, I'm sorry, gosh. Do you want a kiss that bad? I mean, I know I'm hot but—"
Lucy punched Natsu. "Idiot! You're the worst!"
"Okay fine! Come here—" Natsu went to give Lucy a kiss, squeaking when she shoved her hand in his face and quickly ran away.
"I hate you! Don't talk to me unless you bring me a snack! I would really like a bar of chocolate right about now!" Lucy cried.
"What the actual frick just happened." Natsu sweat profusely. "Do I go check on her or..?"
"Just leave her be I guess." Levy shrugged, holding back her laughter.
"It's Halloween Eve!" Meredy smiled kindly. "What are you two going to be? Mama is going as Alice. You know, from Alice in Wonderland. I'm going to be a spooky wizard!"
"I'm gonna be a dragon! Cool, right?" Natsu grinned proudly. "Luce took me to Party City to get my costume! It looks great!"
"What's Happy gonna be?" Levy bent down, petting the fluffy blue cat. She missed her furry son. Hopefully Gajeel would be back soon, it's around Lily's snack time...
"Himself! We're gonna put a super cute backpack and wings on him. Maybe he'll wrack up some cat treats or more candy!" Natsu picked up Happy, placing him on his head. "What a handsome boy. Now, let's go get mama some snacks!"
"Meow mrr!" Happy replied.
"Do you guys want anything?" Natsu hummed, grabbing the keys.
"No."
"No thanks."
"A strawberry shortcake, please!" Erza drooled a bit.
"Gotcha." Natsu nodded. "Come on Happy. I'll get you a special snack too. And Meredy,"
Meredy raised an eyebrow, smirking.
"This isn't over." Natsu squinted, then proceeding to wave everyone off as he left.
"I bet you guys know." Meredy snickered.
"Yeah." Levy nodded.
"Crazy, right?" Meredy exclaimed, smiling proudly. "I can't wait to get a new sibling!"
"I wonder what the gender will be." Erza hummed. "I hope they'll like strawberry cake. If Wendy's baby doesn't, I think I'm gonna flip."
"Haha please don't do that." Meredy and Levy sweat in unison. There was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Lucy walked down the stairs. She looked around. "Hey... Where's Happy?"
"Natsu took him to the store." Erza replied.
"Aw. Man, I wanted to cuddle Happy." Lucy whimpered, wiping her eyes. Her lip trembled as she started to cry again, until somebody knocked on the door. "Oh! Right!"
Lucy seemed to snap out of whatever trance she was in, unlocking the door. "Hey, Wendy!"
Wendy waddled in, hand on her enormous belly. She cast a smile at everyone, immediately glaring at Romeo. Romeo's nose was a bit red, eyes and cheeks too. Juvia and Grey then followed, snickering.
"Wendy, I'm-" Romeo started, But was cut off.
"No! Shut up!" Wendy wailed, flailing her arms. "You're a meanie!"
"What happened?" Erza tried her best to hold back her laughter, but failed.
"Those two had a falling-out." Juvia giggled, opening a cat carrier. Inside was a snow white cat with a pink bow wrapped around her tail. She strut inside like she owned the place, brown eyes looking around the room in search of a blue feline.
"Oh? Who's this?" Levy bent down and stroked the cat, sweating when it turned away and walked behind Wendy's leg.
"This is Carla, she's the only one who gets me!" Wendy scooped Carla up, sobbing into her fur. Carla meowed softly.
"All I did was eat the fry in the bottom of the bag." Romeo whispered, silently pleading for someone to free him from this torture.
"Oof." Meredy replied, scratching the back of her head. "Lesson learned, I guess?"
"You bet." Romeo grimaced as Wendy fell to her knees. "Darling, maybe you shouldn't do that—"
"SHUT UP! YOU'RE NOT MY DAD!" Wendy screamed. "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TELLING ME WHAT TO DO? NO FAIR!"
"I'm so sorry, please forgive me." Romeo crawled to Wendy, giving her a right hug. "I'll let you put bows in my hair?"
Wendy sniffled. "Fine, but I'm still mad."
"Haha, okay—"
"ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME NOW? YOU IDIOT, JERK! I—" Wendy burst into tears yet again.
"Wendy, maybe you should—"
"BE QUIET, MOM! It's not a phase!"
The rest of the day was filled with laughter, sobbing from Wendy, but it was an overall fun experience.
