Fifteen
Green dolphins, blue water, and red cheeks.
"Let's go to the beach!" Lucy exclaimed, Meredy beaming with excitement.
"Oooh! Sounds fun!" Meredy beamed. "Let's go to Coney Island this time, mom!"
"Beaches? I have work to do today," Gajeel scowled, typing on his computer.
"C'mon Gajeel! Live a little!" Natsu frowned.
"No. I've already been slacking." Gajeel mumbled. "Calling Lily's nanny every day making sure he's not dead."
"But Sir! We promise it'll be lots of fun!" Erza whined.
"Yeah! We can all beat each other with water noodles!" Jellal suggested, motioning a stick to beat the life out of someone with.
"No." Gajeel stated.
"Please, Gajeel?" Levy asked, puppy-dog eyes intact. Gajeel gulped, he couldn't say no to her!
"No—"
They were all sitting in the car, in bathing suits and swimming trunks. Levy's was a one piece with red and white stripes, Lucy's was a pink bikini, Meredy's was a purple two piece with a red cover up that was gold at the bottom and it looked like a cape, Natsu's was just some red shorts with fire on it, Gajeel's was black with grey bands around it, Erza's was literally armor, and Jellal's was just navy blue shorts.
"Tch. I can't believe this." Gajeel grumbled, looking out the window. His phone vibrated.
His face exploded into a red color as he looked over at Levy. She has a towel on, thank god. He let out a shaky breath.
"Aw Sir," Erza giggled as she poked him from the trunk where all of the towels, the cooler, and a whole bunch of other water toys were. "You look like a tan tomato, what happened? Thinking about a certain someone?"
His face now begun to rival the color of Erza's hair.
Erza smirked, wiggling her eyebrows. Jellal hummed, poking Gajeel too.
"Siiiir," He sang. "What's this?"
"Hush!" Gajeel muttered, glaring out the window. He tried to get the temperature on his face down but to no avail. "God damn it Lucy."
Levy was thinking as she stared out the window. They were stuck in traffic.. again. She let out a small groan and then a silent chuckle, she didn't understand how Natsu and Lucy could bear to live out here! Russia was way better. Then she started to think about her job. Levy was a persona assistant but never really actually did work. They usually travelled and she would just sit at the meetings quietly and then go home and cook. She's never been an assistant before, is that what they do?
And the whole personal part, what else was she supposed to do, bathe him? It made her laugh, but then as the images of her bathing Gajeel popped into her mind, making her eyes widen as she started blushing. She looked out the window, trying to calm herself.
"Oh my god. They're totally oblivious," Lucy snickered.
"I know," Natsu sighed. "We gotta speed this up, Lucy, but how?"
"Just let the big guy take his time, it'll be better that way." Lucy shook her head. "Don't force it. So what if he takes 6 years..?"
Natsu rolled his eyes. "I totally implied that I liked you by sneaking into your house with Happy and— OH SHIT! I FORGOT TO FEED HAPPY!"
Natsu started to have a little panic attack. "Oh no!"
"Dad," Meredy laughed. "You said to bring Happy with us so that you could take him to the aquarium." There was a meow from the trunk.
Lucy face palmed. "Natsu you idiot. Pass the kitten up here please."
It was odd to see a blue cat. Levy's eyebrows furrowed as the green eyed small kitten looked at her, meowing happily.
"This is Happy. We got him from the shelter, some mean kids somehow made his fur blue. we tried to wash it off but to no avail." Lucy shrugged. "We love him this way though, and wouldn't want him any different."
"Happy is annoying." Gajeel grumbled, Pantherlily was way more calm than Happy. But then again, Happy has yet to turn one.
"Don't bully our son." Natsu said, honking the horn.
"What are you going to do if I do?"
"Papa, drive the car." Meredy groaned, putting headphones on. Gajeel and Natsu started to argue, trying to fight, Levy groaned loudly, putting on her headphones.
Lucy was laughing and yelling something. The soft shakes of the car put Levy to sleep...
"Shrimp, wake up," She woke to someone shaking her gently. Her eyes fluttered open, meeting beautiful red ones. She smiled, yawning.
"Good morning," Levy smiled, sitting up and stretching. She looked out to see a boardwalk, with a beach! "This is Coney Island?"
"Yeah," Natsu grinned, bouncing up and down like a child. "Now let's go! I wanna go eat, I'm starved!"
"That's what you're excited about?" Lucy sweat. "I am a little hungry though."
They grabbed the tub of stuff, going down to the beach. They put the stuff on the sand with a big big blanket and an umbrella for shade. They left to go get some food and returned.
"OK so like, I'm gonna go to the aquarium. Meet back at lets say 5?" Natsu asked, holding Happy.
"Sounds great!" Lucy put a thumbs up, taking off her towel and laying on the blanket with her legs crossed. She put on some sunglasses. "I'm gonna get a tan. Don't do anything stupid," Natsu ran off. Meredy sat next to her mom, taking off her towel too.
"That ride was tiring. I'm gonna take a nap."
"Don't forget sunscreen if you're gonna sit in the sun." Lucy said, rubbing some on herself.
"Come on Erza!" Jellal yelled, running to the water. As soon as his foot touched it, he leapt back. "Eek! Too cold!"
Erza pulled him in. "You're rushing me and now you don't wanna get in?" Jellal was shivering, Erza dunking him under the water. She got weird glances as she held his head underneath the water, laughing as he struggled.
I mean, there's a woman at the beach in armor, holding someone underneath the currents.
She put him back up, laughing as he gasped for air. "Uuooouughhhhh...." Her laugh was worth it though. "Are you not hot?"
"I am," Erza stretches. "Should I put on a swimsuit? What if Sir is in trouble?"
"Just go put on a swimsuit, I'll wait here—"
Erza dunked under the water, hopping back up in a split second. She now had on a bikini with little strawberry cakes printed on it. Her boobs giggled as she did so.
"HOW DO YOU DO THAT?" Jellal exclaimed.
Erza laughed. "A talent. She threw her armor back at the towel, hitting Gajeel smack in the back of his head as he was turned around staring at Levy's butt.
He cursed loudly, glaring at Erza. She only smiled and waved.
Levy got some boardwalk passes, walking back to Gajeel. She noticed a thin streak of blood dripping from his nose as he stared down at her. His cheeks heated up.
Could this girl not be any more perfect? Does it ever end? Was she a goddess or something..? Levy waved. "I got us some passes so we can go ride stuff! Let's go get in the water first, I'm excited to feel the ocean!"
"Uh y-yeah." Gajeel nodded, following close behind her. Some people whistled and chatted about Levy, Gajeel glaring at everyone. They all had a reason though, Levy was beautiful.
"Gajeel, you're going to get in the water with a towel on?" Levy giggled. Gajeel blushed, stammering.
"O-oh, right!" He sprinted to go place it down, Lucy winking. He rolled his eyes, seeing Levy in the water on the shoreline. The tide brushed against her skin, Levy playing in the sands making a mound. "Whatcha doin there, Shrimp?"
"Making somewhat of a castle. Wanna help?" Levy offered.
"Sure," Gajeel day with her, shivering as the cold water splashed against him. Levy giggled.
"Cold, isn't it?" She smiled, cupping the sand in her hands. She tried her hardest to avoid staring at Gajeel's body.
"Yes," Gajeel nodded. The two worked on the castle together, enjoying the calmness of the moment. The water rushing with the warm breeze was perfect..
When it was done, Levy put her hands on her hips as she admired it. It was amazing! Okay, it was somewhat of a mound of sand but it looked great! Lots of decor! Gajeel rested his arm on her head.
"We did that. What are we gonna call it?"
"I was thinking Redfox Manor of the Sea!" Levy beamed. Gajeel ruffled her hair.
"We could make it McGarden Manor if ya want." He chuckled. "Your very first mansion."
"Oooh!" Levy nodded. She took a photo and labeled it McGarden Manor.
"Let's go swim, Shrimp. Then let's go eat again," Gajeel suggested. Levy nodded, walking into the sea. Gajeel followed, worried now. What if she drowned? No, she isn't a child. What if a crab snipped her? Then we'd be eating it for dinner. But what—
"—el! Gajeel! GAJEEL!" Levy pulled him. "What's wrong? You look worried..."
"Ah, it's nothing Shrimp. Don't worry your pretty little head over it." Gajeel chuckled. Levy smiled warmly before slowly walking into the water. She squeaked and ran out.
Gajeel was all the way in. "What's wrong?"
"Cold," Levy shivered. Gajeel smirked, stalking closer to the tiny bookworm. She backed away slowly, knowing what was to come. She started running but couldn't get very far due to her short legs. Gajeel picked her up and carefully placed her in the water, then picked her up and dropped her in.
Levy screamed, laughing. "Gajeel!" She splashed him.
"Oh? You're gonna be like that now? I see how it is." Gajeel laughed. "Guess I'll just have to fight back even harder, gihi!" The started splashing each other, Levy dunking under the water and pulling his foot. Gajeel cursed loudly, slipping into the water. He took Levy with him.
Lucy watched in amusement, wondering what kind of trouble her husband had gotten himself into. "I'm going to check on your father," She walked into the aquarium, seeing Natsu and Happy sitting on the floor looking at the fish with amazement and wonder in their eyes.
Lucy smiled, leaning over her husband and running a hand through his hair. "Having fun?"
"Yeah! Luce, look at all of the fishies!" Natsu pointed. Lucy giggled, sitting down next to him.
"Surprised you're not doing anything stupid." Lucy said softly, leaning her head on his shoulder. Natsu grinned, gasping as one of the fish did a twirl sort of thing. "We can go see the other exhibits if you want?"
"Uh..." Natsu sweat. "Nah I'm good."
Lucy squinted. "Stand up."
Natsu sighed in defeat, standing. There was a huge bulge right in the crotch. Lucy crosses her arms. She knew he couldn't possibly have an erection by looking at fish.
"Natsu..." Lucy said dangerously. She reached her hand to poke it, Natsu screeching.
"Nononono, Luce wait—!" As soon as she poked him, the plastic bag exploded and water rushed out of his pants with a ton of fish. Lucy groaned loudly, security coming and kicking them out.
Lucy laughed as the people carried them out. Natsu was having a fit.
"We just got fined! Natsu, that's $2500 out of our pockets!" Lucy put on her angry act. Natsu pouted, a guilty and sad look on his face.
"Sorry Lucy... I can get you more if you want.." He looked at the sand. Happy was asleep in his arms.
"Oh Natsu. You know I was just kidding, right? I'm not mad. I'm never really mad at you." Lucy caressed his cheek. Natsu beamed, placing Happy down in a box to ensure he wouldn't run off.
"C'mon Luce!" Natsu grinned, pulling her to the water. "Let's swim!" This was her idiotic, crazy husband and she wouldn't love him any other way.
Meredy decided to go swim too.
Levy and Gajeel were at the boardwalk, playing games and riding things. Gajeel had already won Levy a green translucent dolphin, some candy, and a voucher for free food.
The sun was lowering and they decided to ride one more thing before 5. The Ferris wheel. It was beautiful, to see the park and beach...
"It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" Levy asked, staring down below.
"Yeah." But Gajeel wasn't looking out of the window. He was gazing directly at Levy. When they reached the bottom it was 5:30!
"So where were you?" Meredy smirked, laughing.
"Doesn't concern you," Gajeel muttered as everyone started to pack up. The rest of the evening was pleasant, sadly they'd be returning to Russia the next morning.
