SEPTEMBER

Jayce stared at his food. Mika picked at her food. She knew better than to not eat in front of him. He'd went through the trouble of having this made after all. She listened or rather waited for him to say something. She had no clue what he felt was so important he needed to tell her immediately.

He growled and she jumped. It was something she hadn't heard before. Simply, terrifying, " My great-grandfather.. I respect him.. but he was stupid. It all started when he killed his mate. "

Jayce noticed her gulp, and she had a right to be afraid. She was going to be more than terrified after he finshed. He was worried she would no longer want to be his mate.

" Her name was Lucile. From what I've been told she was beautiful. So much so that she gained a lot of attention at an early age. He was jealous. Always jealous, but they lived normal lives until she came of age.

He found out she was his mate. He didn't like that. They were friends, but she had far to much attetion from others. His father didn't have a mate, and thought mates were a myth. Made up. So he had a reason to chose a girl himself. It's been passed down if you can't tell. " he stopped staring into the fire mindlessly chewing a piece of steak she cut for him.

He didn't know when she slipped it into his mouth, but it tasted good. He rather liked how she started to feed him. It was probably for the best right now as well, because he wasn't sure he would actually eat telling his family history to her.

He continued, " Lucile stopped flirting. Her world only revolved around him, but sadly it didn't last. The boys didn't stop. They disrespected him constantly as an alpha's son, and apparently it drove him insane. He became cold, and killed for fun. By the time he took alpha, he was a ruthless murderer. She was dead by his hand soon after.

He killed her the night before his right of passage, strangled her after beating her unconscious I think. From what I hear these traits passed down to my father's father. Lucile wasn't his mother. He had fling after fling until a girl got pregnant. Killed her after he was born.

In fact, the girl he got pregnant was a rouges lover. That is how the rouge feud got started. He was a fool, but he simply denied that mates existed. The rouge was pissed. Guess it carried on. My great-grandfather, grandfather, and father denied mates. Completely ignored the bonds and pull. Killed the girl that came with it just to be free of it.

They labeled it as a useless emotional toy. Something to avoid of we wanted to remain strong. " Somehow salad got shoved into his mouth silencing him for a moment. As the rich favor of his dressing hit his mouth he chewed slowly. It was delicious, and shut him up for a while.

Mika saw him fighting to control his emotions. His wolf tried to peek out often. Obviously he hated this as much bad Jayce did. Each time pitch black came she stopped eating and feed him. Just a little bit here amd there.

Honestly he didn't seem to notice when she feed him multiple bites. She guessed his past really messed with him, especially now that he had her in his life. His eyes would go back to a smoldering amber before he continued.

She did feel scared. His pack had never had a Luna because his ancestors were murderers that seemed to hate their mates. Yet, she didn't quite feel that he gave off the same vibe. She wondered what happened differently with him.

" My father was pretty much the same as his father. Always told me that love was an emotion you shouldn't trust. It was weak. Fake. Wrong. He trained me to be just as ruthless. Kill any rouge. Kill any intruder. Never let a woman lead. Never let a Luna come to be.

He killed a rather strong rouge's actual mate after she gave birth in his territory. He had taken her since she accidentally wondered on his land. In return the rouge killed him for revenge. He left him in the field just to the West. Ever since I've been plagued with rouges. One after another. They just don't end.

Part of me knows the want revenge. Part of me says its justified. Part of me thinks it's stupid as well. Honestly my own mother was just a small wolf from the village. She was a fling, forced fling, and he killed her after I was born. The trend following every male he had ever looked up to. Disgusting. " he sighed chewing potatoes and steak.

They tasted delicious. Even better when she fed them to him. He watched her hands. Mika was slightly shakey when she held the fork up to his lips. He smiled. She was adorable when nervous like this.

Jayce continued on after eating a little more. His appetite was at least back." I went through so many Alpha runs. At first I ran. But, eventually I just laid on the rocks, and watched couples come together. It was depressing to have to run for four years and never find a mate.

So I laid on the same rocks for the next three years. Never thinking I had a mate. If I did she wasn't going to come to me. Honestly, I once wondered if I had a male mate. How problematic would it be to have another alpha as a mate? " he chuckled and shook his head.

" Nearly seven years of hoping to find a mate will make you think some crazy shit. I just desperately wanted to not end up the same as them. I was beginning to turn cold. "

" I almost didn't come to my last run. I was beyond tired of it. People avoided me when they saw the cold stares I would give them and their mates. I couldn't help it. I was jealous. Something changed though.

I arrived days before. Ran through the lands like always with the group. Helped stragglers and new alphas gain direction and a lay of the land. We thought the run would be postponed for a day. We were lacking a girl from a pack in the south. She just had to travel by car instead of fly.

No one knew why, but we left it as it was. No use arguing about it with the elders. They couldn't make the car go faster. We were informed that she had finally made it to the boarder just as dark had fallen. They wanted us to be ready. They were going to have us run anyway. " he paused to glance at her.

She was already offering him a bite of his steak. His eyes drifted to her hands after taking the bite. He liked to watch her. Jayce felt like a stalker, but he did enjoy it.

She would work well with weaponry he realized. Well, that should be obvious. Her parents trained both with and without them. He needed to test her on that later.

He cleared his throat," All of us seemed to protest. We'd been up since around three that morning. While we wanted to find our mates we also wanted our beds.Of course, we were ignored.

As we started to take our places I ran the outside edge of the trees again. When I looked out into the clearing around the tents, and saw a girl paused looking back at me. I swear my heart skipped a beat. Then I thought it was a fluke. Even though I smelled sweet peas and gardenias. I Shook it off thinking I'd just ran into some flower patch.

I just went in the woods and laid on the rocks. I could still see the tents. It's one of the reasons I liked that spot. I had a good look at the girls as they came out.

The girl that caused us to run late, the one who caught my attention originally, took off after every other girl. Yet she was the first to crash into the woods. She lead the females with her nervous head held high. She was wicked fast, and slid right under Carter. He is the alpha of the Wolfsbane pack. A close friend of mine. " he explained opening his mouth to receive another delicious bite. He relished it before continuing.

" Carter looked pissed. It made me chuckle. You really got the one up on him. He had no clue what even happened. Looked between his legs like 'what the hell'. " he snickered.

" She disappeared after that, and I laid my head back down. Honestly I don't see how you disappeared so quickly. I imagine it's why we didn't catch each other's scent sooner. Again. " He gazed at her affectionately. Jayce smiled as he leaned towards her and rested his head on her shoulder. She stopped trying to cut steak and played her head over on his as well.

" Soon though, I saw her again. That little creamy white and grey wolf was watching the couples with the alphas. For some reason the alphas let her sit with them. Like they accepted that she felt just as lost. It was surprising. Normally they would have moved, or had her move on. But, they just let her sit with them.

She didn't watch long before coming my way. Her scent hit me. It felt like someone threw a brick at my face. Or better yet, like I ran into a brick wall. I held her gaze, and she froze in place when i jumped down. " He leaned back again, and his hand caressed her cheek.

" She followed me, came home with me, saved me and proceeded to whip my ass into shape a little when I got out of line. At every turn she invaded my thoughts, ran from my territory unknowingly, cleaned up my mess of a life. She is cleaning up my pack, is learning to help my pack, taking over my heart. " he kissed her softly.

She blushed, and kissed him back. Mika had no clue. His take on the run... was interesting. She didn't know the alphas had respected her by letting her sit with them. Or that he'd watched her the whole time pretty much. She silently cut their steaks and fed him for a while longer.

" I love her for that. I need her to help me. Our pack." He chuckled softly, and nuzzled her. " She wears my mark, and tomorrow I'm announcing her officially as my mate, lover, and Luna. " he smiled at her sweet blushing cheeks. " I love you. "

She chewed on her lip before stopping. He had enough problems with restraint already, and she very much remembered his and Koy's promise about her lips. " I love you too Jayce. " she whispered. Mika poked his cheek with his fork. " Eat Babe. "

He chuckled. " You are changing me so much... feeding me.. geez..." he took her offer and then the fork. " So.. my history summed up as quickly as I could. " As painlessly as he could was more like it.

She nodded. " Terrifying.. but I understand better why you've been this way. " she said softly before she started eating again. " I promise I'll try to be a good Luna. I've never been good with people, but I love to run. I'm sure i can help train people. " she said obviously nervous at the thought of it. Of any of it.

He nodded, " I would expect nothing more than for you to try. Once you get comfortable with the pack, I'll have you doing defensive teaching as well. Sike never gets caught off guard like that. Neither do i. I've seen wolves jump, but never like that. You were fearless as well. Even told me to shut up... " he shook his head. " You surprise me at every turn. " he finished.

They ate quietly enjoying each other's company. After which he scooped her up and snuggled her all the way to their bed. " Time for bed Little Star. " he kissed her head, and went around to his side. After he slid in, he pulled her close, and held her by her waist. " goodnight Love. "

" Goodnight. Sleep well. " she smiled snuggling into him. She felt accepted and loved. " Took you long enough.." she yawned and slipped slowly into sleep.

" I suppose it did. But, at least you know why..." he mumbled into her hair.

She felt like throwing up.

She a chance to see her mother and father. It was wonderful to do so. The homey love she'd missed this past month or so. The love they held for her made her feel calm and giddy. They were going to be part of her pack now! So were the friends she had come to know. The girls were all here.

Today was a big day. Jayce made sure of it. The pack house was being decorated, the doors were open, food was being made, the curtains were open. It looked completely different in a wonderful way. She was going to have to convince him to keep it this way. She loved it.

Still, lingering in the back of her mind was the pack. Jayce sent her mother, and the huntress' of her pack up to their room for the day. He had a full wardrobe of dresses, accessories, and shoes brought up to their room as well. Today it was a large open closet for all of them.

The guys had another room set up. Her father, Sike, and Jayce went to help them get ready. She admired him allowing such a large group into his room without being watched. It showed a lot of trust.

After the girls gushed over their room and the pack house they went to work. It was nothing rash, but they did take full advantage of the tons of clothing and accessories. No makeup for her. They all knew she disliked it. It did look amazing on them though.

Though, they did pull a few tricks out of their bags. Her hair was washed, and dried by them. They honestly brushed it dry. She could get used to that. It felt wonderful to be pampered. She giggled as they abandoned their dresses and makeup to purposely 'pushed' each other in the large tub. It was nice to be playful, and come on, they were all girls.

After the bath they made sure to double check Jayce's work on her leg. Her mother was impressed by it. " It shouldn't scar much, but just enough. He must be proud of it. I know I am. " Her mother chatted her ear off about how proud she was of her. They all asked her about the wolf incident. Repeatedly.

" I really wasn't thinking. Everyone was waiting for Jayce to give them approval to go home. I heard a snap coming from the guards, and the rouge. It had broken out of their grip, and threw them backwards. I have no clue who it was, but he had some power behind him for sure. He was passing me. I reached out and bear hugged him. You know I'm no bean pole.. no offense. "

" None taken. We've been losing weight rapidly since we've been running. It will take time. " Sike's new mate chimed in. She was pretty: dark skinned, bright sparkly brown eyes, long black hair pulled up into a ponytail. Mika smiled at Lianna.

She nodded and continued, "Well, he threw me off of him, and we started to fight. It seemed like it took hours.. I imagine it was just a few minuets though. I finally had a good angle on his neck, and I took the opportunity. I snapped it, and we landed at Jayce's feet. " she paused for a moment.

" I took off scared he wouldn't like that I basically went above him. He was going to deal with him the next day. That obviously didn't happen. When Sike brought me home, he embraced me? " she stopped thinking for the right way to explain it.

" Honestly, he more like yelled, called me stupid for taking it on in human form, and then embraced me. Then... umm carried me upstairs.. " her cheeks started to burn brightly. They had knowing smiles and giddy remarks.

" The next day, I heard our call. I panicked. He had already left to deal with the supposed rouges. Again, I didn't think.. and we found you guys. I'm sorry you all had to see that.. go back to that.." she sighed softly as her arms were raised. " Is all of this neccessary? I'm just meeting the pack, and you guys are joining it. " she whined.

" Yes it is! I dont get to see you in beautiful things much... except for in the arms of that beautiful boy.." her mother wagged her eyebrows at her causing her to go into a fit of laughter. It was contagious.

" Plus, this is more than a meeting the pack thing. You are being introduced formally as Luna. Most Lunas are thrown massive parties and balls when introduced formally. He is settling on a small party. Its humble, so just relax.

Anyway. I'm proud of my little fighter.. Not many wolves first kills are rouges trying to kill their mate. As terrible as that sounds... "
Her mother was pretty much the spitting image of her. Her hair was a creamy blonde mixed with brown and aging silver streaks. Her eyes were lively green, and she had smile lines. Mika adored her.

" Okay momma. That rouge just scratched me up pretty good. Nothing I couldn't handle growing up with two ruthless hunters. " she smiled and let her mother tailor a beautiful dress to fit her.

Jayce had asked for a simple one, and it was, until her mother got her hands on it. She couldn't wait to see his reaction. " All I thought about was Jayce.." she heard a loving collective sigh, " He said something about me before I panicked. He hadn't exactly been nice up until this point. He was cold, distant. . I took off out of panick. Last thing I heard was his commanding me to be brought back. That and no one was allowed to talk to me. " she was lost in the dark colored carpet.

" Something stopped me from leaving the territory. I couldn't tell you where it stops honestly, but something told me to stop. I realized how exhausted I was. I sat down, staring put at the river. Sike showed up soon after. He placed his jacket over me. I hated it honestly, but I wasn't going back naked.

So I changed, and he picked me up in that oversized thing.. and took me home. Just sat me on the porch and shooed everyone watching away. Good thing to. As soon as I entered the house Jayce had me pinned to the door. At first I didn't think it was because he was worried. " she played with her hair.

" But, it was. He yelled at me a lot about how stupid it was.. but after that.. I know I've already said it.. but you guys keep wanting to hear it. And, I cant stop thinking about it. " she gushed playfully.

" Awe its getting good! You keep stopping right before you go into the sex! " Lianna was laying on the floor with the others her head in her hands. Mika giggled. " Granted I don't think I would go into much more detail. We're being spied on. " she said seriously as she stood and walked to the door with Mika's key. She touched it and let it fling open.

Meanwhile the girls shielded Mika's dress from the door, and her mother chuckled and continued to work. " That's my second in command. " she chuckled chipperly.

" Go away Alpha. She isn't ready. " she said her tone cold. Jayce growled and she flinched but crossed her arms. Lianna twirled the key from its chain on her finger and leaned against the door frame.

Sike snickered, " I warned you.. she won't let us in.. didn't you just get onto Mika for being childish?" He patted his best friend on the shoulder.

Jayce huffed and sat up. " But, its MY room! And, MY mate. " he growled. Jayce stood and dusted himself off. " besides it doesn't take long to fit a dress that simple. " he said suspiciously.

Lianna smiled brightly. " We know. See you later. Syanora, bye bye. " she shut the door before another eruption of giggles went off. She turn to the girls, " And, that is how you take care of a curious Alpha, and his men." She winked and joined the laughter.

Jayce stood there baffled at them. Mika's giggle caught his ear though, and he smiled. " They are going over the top aren't they? " he asked with a smirk.

"Seems like it's been the plan since they learned about the ceremony. I saw a bunch of them carrying fabrics and material as well. Seems Minny, is a Jack of all trades. She is going to look Beautiful though. I have no doubts they all will. It was nice of you to lend them you're room. "

"Which makes me want to see her more. And, honestly it's just the largest private room available. " Jayce agreed before pawing at the door playfully. Lianna smacked it. She was sitting against it so it wouldn't pop open. Hopefully.

He chuckled, " Okay girls.. be ready in an hour at the most! She has to rest more as punishment before training begins!" He called walking away with his arm over sike's shoulder.

Sike had missed this. He liked being buddy buddy with his friend again.

Mika's mother raised an eyebrow, " Dish. " she ordered.

She chuckled, " Well.. it's a long story. " she said before delving into the punishments. " His wolf decided I needed some stupid punishments. They mainly want me to rest. I've been over doing it being freshly marked and mated to him. I know I have. I can feel it. " she shuddered softly.

" His wolf brings out a seriously dark and seductive side of him. He was pissed that I shifted so slowly in front of my guards. They didn't get the chance to see anything, but my shift was slower due to the pain I've felt. And, he was mad I interfered with dad since it was an official pack thing. Some other things as well. " She shrugged softly.

They talked about it over the next hour as the girls gave her and themselves manicures and pedicures. They knew training would destroy them, but it was nice to bond. Plus they would all look nice for the pack. They matched. Unity as one.

" I have a feeling that most of you will end up finding mates here. Or at least get close to it. Most of this pack is male. I believe they scared most girls off. " They looked down nervously.

" Jayce says they all act tough, but really aren't. " she whispered causing them to perk up a bit. " Why else would the goddess send you all the way here? Other packs are open to new members. Close to Crystalleaf as well. " she reasoned.

A loud knock came on the door. Lianna rolled her eyes, but hurried mika behind a big folding screen they had found in the closet. She stood there nervously chewing on her lip.

Jayce entered right after she vanished behind it. He looked for her curiously. " Mika? Where is she?" He asked before his eyes fell on the screen and a beautiful scent coming from it. " Mika.. what did I say about those lips?" He purred.

Her mother chuckled, " Dont mess her up yet. " she warned shooing the girls out. " See you soon darling!" She closed the door leaving her new alpha and daughter alone. " Thank me later she called."

Jayce raised an eyebrow at that. " You coming out or do I have to come get you?" His voice purred, and a rumble slightly coming from him.

" I.. dont look like myself. " she whispered catching herself in the mirror. It was simple things like her nails.. or the simple wedge heels her mother had picked out. Her hair was slightly shinier and fell more gracefully down her back. Not to mention the small details her mother tailored onto the dress.

He nodded appearing behind her. " I'll have to help you with your hair more often.. it looks healthier like this. " he mumbled as a mental note. He leaned down, holding both of her arms. His head rested next to her neck, " You look beautiful.. the things I could do to wreck this.." his fingers trailed down to her dress.

" But, Minny would kill me. Probably literally try to skin me alive. We'll save it after tonight. A memento of the night you became my official Luna. " he nuzzled her softly. " She really knows your body type... " he complimented.

He'd picked a simple white dress for her initiation. Her mother had taken if from a lower thigh length to a knee length. The detail was incredible. He'd talked with her parents a lot when settling them. About her scent. How beautiful he thought she was. They even had the don't hurt my daughter talk. Yadda yadda.

She'd embroidered pink sweet peas on the bottom. She added two paws touching over the heart. He lifted it slightly and found she added a silk slip and layers of chiffon to poof it out comfortably instead of leaving it falling limp. In just a few hours this dress went from a simple silk dress to a beautiful form fitting dress that flared at the bottom. It still showed her legs quite well. The shoes went nicely with it.

He sighed heavily as he watched her. " We sadly have to leave now. " he finally whispered. He trailed kisses from her ear to her neck gently earning a slight sigh from her. Jayce slipped his hand into hers, and walking her out of their room. Together they went to the great hall or rather ballroom of the pack house.

He left her on the bottom of the stairs. " Deep breaths. I'll motion for you soon Love." Her pack stood behind him already on the balcony. They were uniform in a line quietly waiting. Glancing to the Moonwater pack they seemed impressed. Eyes glued to them both the boys and girls. Her friends reminded her of a military unit.

They were first. This was a meeting and party to welcome them into the pack.. Jayce had assured her that the younger generation had no issue with it. The elders might, but the pack needed new blood. Fresh faces.

" Tonight, we gather to welcome new members!" His voice blasted around them off the walls. Jayce took his place in front of them all. His inner alpha came out causing some younger people to shrink back. Those people should have been the hunters, but they stood tall as if used to hearing it.

She felt proud of them all. Mika was awed. He continued, " You may protest, but I believe they will be good fits in our pack. We need fresh people, new faces amd talents to help us rebuild what was once so proud. "

Some elders were disgruntled by his decision. " They are outsiders! " one old man shouted. He was a tall still very fit graying man. He scowled at them, his arms crossed.

He walked slowly, almost stalkingly, and stood in front of the old man. " Do not think for a second that I would hesitate to rip you apart. Show some respect! Being friends with my grandfather does you no good now. You know I hated him. " he got in his face.

" Rouges are ravaging the areas around the packs. These people came from the opposite end of our little world, to seek a new home. Would you like to know why? " he turned from the now cowering old man to the rest of the pack. They were eager to know. Listening quietly.

" The rouges burned they're homes. " he paused as if in debate on sharing something else. " With their families in them. " he finished. Gasps of shock and fear spread like fire. " My Luna's father found the alpha and his family. Burned, but recognizable killed before the fire reached them. Rouges are sending warning messages. They are trying to take the packs down. If taking in the remains of the Crystalleaf pack keeps them safe, and the rouges from killing, I accept them gladly. They have promised to commit and fit together with us. " he walked back up the stairs to address his people better.

The children ran to the stairs, sitting and listening quietly. He briefly smiled at them. " They have many talents to offer us. Tailors, hunters, chefs," he paused offering a smirk to his mate. In a way telling her he knew about her cooking for him.

He sighed collecting himself, and tore his gaze away from her." It is a good time to bring up change. I intend to change our ways. Not much, but a bit. We will have a hunter division. Lead by Mr. & Mrs. Shenandoah, or
Sean and Minny. The young will be trained as hunters until they come of age or have been assigned elsewhere.

This will allow us to get our own food far easier, and we won't have to barter as much. More money can stay here to help rebuild our town. It will give them a fighting chance to find a mate as well.

I know you may disagree with this as well, but i was an absolute fool for thinking mates wre stupid. To run from it, and try to keep us set in our ways. We were a dying pack. " he longed to hold Mika.

" One last thing before we proceed, My beautiful Star will be a trainer. Honestly, this is a punishment for her, but also an opportunity. She's about a thick headed as a damn bull, but I've managed. " he earned a laugh from the pack.

" Be warned, many of you have seen her take a rouge down like a champion fighter. While she did it without thinking, she showed her potential. She had out ran guards specifically for her. She might be faster than even me. She will be training us for speed and defensive maneuvers. Everyone. Myself included. " he sort of hung his head leaning on the railing.

Another chuckle from the pack made him smile a little. " I know I haven't been the best leader, but I intend to change. " he said softly gripping the rail. A shocked awe went across the room.

" Without further adieu, the Crystalleaf pack! " he stood tall gesturing to the broken pack. " We welcome you to the Moonwater pack! Enter now the world of fighters, stand tall, and strong with us! Never back down, and never give in! " The pack recited his words like an oath.

Then cheers erupted as her family and friends bowed to him, and recited just what he had said. " Jayce came up to them, each one received a mark with a mix of herbs and fresh spring water in a bowl he managed to get as he talked. " Go join your new family. " he said stepping back. They all left single file down the stairs.

Mika was a wreck. She fiddled with her nails and hair. She was shaky. " Oh God. " she wanted to throw up again. She was still awestruck watching Jayce. He was a natural fighter, and born leader. She took uneven breaths trying to calm herself.

She was proud of her people though and it calmed her a great deal to see him mark each of them on the hands, legs, and face. She assumed it was a bond of the pack. It would make sense. Herbs often were used to rid bad spirit and malice. Other herbs were used to welcome a sense of ease and good spirit. A ritual used all the way back to the natives of this land who respected the wolf spirits among others.

He turned to the pack again. " And now. Our Luna. " he whispered sending chills through her. He gestured to the stairs where she was hidden away. It was time to go to him.

The pack was silent. Many had never seen her. Only heard about the rouge. She stepped out into view. Walking slowly keeping her eyes on his. Whispers broke out as she walked slowly. He smiled. " This my family, is the girl responsible for changing me so much. Miss Mika Shenandoah of the Crystalleaf pack. Now the Moonwater pack." He took her hand and kissed it. Jayce noticed her nails were the same as her family and friends.

The girls had even got to the guys before they lined up using the same light blue on just their pinky. "Unity" his wolf thought to him. He nodded. " A symbol of unity, love, and strength. She will help me turn this pack around and build us up. Train us, and help us when we stray. She will be our defense and teach us all she knows. " he finished.

The pack was still silent. He noticed them taking her in. Gawking at her beauty, and it made him growl lowly. He knew she was his, but he was still possessive that over her. The hunters began to clap and cheer, and the rest of the young members followed suit. He smiled again. " I believe our young Luna is to shy to speak. " he teased.

She frowned, and smacked him up the back of the head. His words had struck her silent, but his tease snapped her back.

" I deserved that.. " he muttered trying to stay calm. He didn't like the disrespect in front of the pack, but he reminded himself of change. They could be stronger. Not to mention she was right to call him a pretentious asshole before. He needed them to see him actually knocked off his high horse a bit. Even though he hated it.

She cleared her throat. " Umm.. well I know I'm not the best choice, in my opinion anyway, for Luna.. but during the run, this ass and myself were undeniably attracted each other. " More than managed I'd say!" Sike yelled earning a glare from Jayce.

She smiled thankfully. " I hope I can help, and try to live up to everything he said. I hope you will come to trust me, and accept me. I want to better the pack and help everyone. No, I will do that and more. I rely on you all to help me as well. " she stopped patting Jayce's shoulder.

He took her que. " I give you your Luna. " he said softly. He took the bowl once again, " I've marked you, and you carry this pack's symbol. Carry it proudly. " he said a sparkle in his eyes. He drew a crescent on her forehead, as well as the other symbols on her hands and legs. " Welcome my Luna to the Moonwater pack. " he kissed her gently in front of them all.

Quickly he broke the kiss, and rushed her down the steps playfully. Mika's stomach growled ferociously, and she pulled Jayce over to the food. They ate a little together, and conversed with curious pack members. The guys behaved, afraid not to in the presence of both Jayce and those not afraid of their new alpha.

The girls gushed and talked like crazy to just about anyone. At least they were social. He took notice of small meak looking girl. One he had just welcomed. She was shyly standing against a wall, with a guys arms holding her there. He lifted her chin, and kissed her softly. She didn't hesitate to jump up, and hold tightly around his neck. That surprised him. He tapped Mika's shoulder , " We already have another mated pair. "

She smiled knowingly. " I told them it would happen. " was all she said again surprising him. " Why else would they come all the way here when we had allies close to us? Something told them to come. " she smiled explaining.

He chuckled, and picked her up throwing her over his shoulder. " Time for the Luna to go to bed! Training begins tomorrow! Don't stay up to late, and leave us alone! " he only snapped the last part. People cat called and whistled at their alpha. Mika beat him a little protesting that she could walk. " Behave and rest." He said calmly. She huffed, and he took her to the room.

After helping her undress he brushed her hair. He actually enjoyed doing it, amd hearing her complain the she could do it herself was adorable. He tucked her into bed like a child.

"Stop treating me like a damn kid! Brushing my hair.. tucking me in.. are you going to read me a freaking story now?!" She huffed.

" No, but you look so innocent and child like. Its a deadly combination with that hidden speed and furious temper. I love it though. It makes me want to treat you like a little princess. "

She scoffed, " I am no princess. "

He nodded chuckling, " I know. Trust me I know. But, I can spoil you whenever I feel like it. " he smirked, and ruined his tuck in by pulling her to him. He was overjoyed as she fell asleep in his arms laying side by side. He went to sleep soon after. He wanted to spend every night like this. For as long as he could.
