"You wanna know.....you really wanna know exactly what happened on November 13th, noon and evening. Night and day. The terror and horror. The fear and the loss....." Zane's piercing stare could've easily bored Michael's eyes out.

Michael, intelligibility, stays silent.

"Decisions were made that day....unresolved issues resolved....people.....god if you just understood a small bit of the loss that we as a community felt that day....."

Zane's tangent is unfortunately cut off by a chippy voice leaning on the door frame. "Honey, ready to head home...oh irene I'm sorry I didn't realize you guys were still talking..."

Nana stands at the door frame, a vibrant pink cane in hand, a glimmer of metal showing under her right pant leg.

"No no, don't worry, we are done" Zane justified, sidestepping his desk to rest a hand on Michael's shoulder, to say just a few words, before rejoicing with his wife.

"This is a hospital Michael....a place of healing....let us heal, before you are the reason why we break down again...."

3 years later

"Axel Sylvana Lycan, we had to leave 5 minutes ago" Aaron announces up the stairs, adjusting his cufflinks as he looked towards the active television in the living room.

"Dad, why dwo I have such a girly nwame awgain?" The young boy asks as he descends the stairs, wearing something uncanny to his father's fancy attire.

Aaron takes a moment to produce a heartfelt sigh, checking the time before squatting down to the boy's eye level.

"Because little man, that was your grandmother's name, remember? She did a very good thing for this family....."

"Lwike what?"

"She gave her heart to her daughter, your mom. Like how your mother gave her heart....to you" Aaron points to the middle Axel's fancy vest, Axel's expression still curious.

"Why dwid she do that Daddy? Didn't it hwurt?"

"Of course it did son, but what your grandmother did....she knew it would hurt, but losing someone she loved, would hurt even more....."

"Oh.....will I lwove someone lwike that one dway?" The boy looks up with wondering hazel eyes, the first of the children to have this recessive trait.

"I hope you already do, now c'mon, we are already late. Let's just not be ultra late.....who knows what she might do this time...." Aaron shudders at the thought, but then ushered his son out the door.

"Let's go get your sister first"

"Doesn't sound probable? Haha, sometimes I thought the same thing....okay most of the time. The events that have plagued and enlightened my life vary on a scale with unimaginable lengths." The woman answers, the microphone held directly under her lipstick, pointing to the next raised hand in the crowd from atop a stage with a smile.

The person lowers his hand and speaks. "So you were the first ever donor in the Adult-baby heart transplant study? I didn't really catch what happened in the book after you gave up your heart.."

Aphmau's smile wavers as the question inspires emotion in her. After leaving the hospital in search of a new life, she stumbled across a Google Doc and wrote the best selling memoir of her time at Kenmaur Garnet Memorial. She knew this book tour would be a bit ambitious or problematic, but she thought she could handle it.

And then finally, she sees them.

Amongst the crowd, stood two pairs of galaxy black eyes, and two hazel pupils looking to her with support in their expressions.

"Well, if you missed it. My mother visited me while I was unconcious with the heart machine pumping my blood for me. Apparently, according to my sources, she saw me and she just ran. Honestly, when hearing this story, I thought it was just her abandoning me again like she had done before. But it was nothing like that. She gave me her heart, her life, her only way to live. And that's when I realize that true mothers, never abandon their children. It's more like the children are the ones who abandon the parents. For the longest time, I resented the person who would do everything in her power just to give me a better way of life. So take it this way, all of you. There are people like my mother in the world, just looking out for her daughter's wellbeing. And then there are people like Gene and Mr. Garnet, unsure of how to avenge their precious angel's deaths. People like Lily, who are misunderstood. People like Ein, who just needed the guidance to follow the right path. And then there are people like you and me, people who make mistakes. We are one species, one race, one planet, one large community of different people, and love encircles us all so we never have to encounter the dark, alone."

This is the end.

This book is dedicated to you all, you crystals who are the reason why this series was even written in the first place and how the first book became #1 in the Aarmau category for a while.

I would just like to say how much I adore and love all you crystals for everything you guys do, even if its just a comment, a vote, or even a read. It makes my heart fill with joy and gives me the inspiration to write more.

This is definitely one of my proudest series, and I understand there are many plot holes and mistakes but that's what makes this series mine.

To those who have been there since the beginning and those just joining in, I love you all so much and hope you have the most spandtaboulous day.
