"Leave it to me." Todoroki replied.

Midoriya looks at Todoroki with curiosity as to what he was planning to do to stop your 'Baku-rage.'

Todoroki then made an ice bridge as demanded earlier and actually surfed towards Hatsume, snatching the tie from her grasp. He did a quick U-turn and wrapped his arm around your waist and carried you back to the entrance of the stadium. It was all too quick for you to react so you were still in instant kill mode. What brought you to consciousness was a calming voice from Todoroki. He sat you down and lifted your chin so you could look him in the eyes.

"(Y/n), it's okay. You can calm down now."

They were very simple words, but the way they were said was much more than calming. There was kindness & another emotion that you couldn't fully recognize. Perhaps it was... no, it couldn't be. Right?

His words alone had calmed the storm. Your face felt hot suddenly. There was also a strange feeling within your chest.

'What... what is this?'

"You okay now?" He asked reassuringly, while still cupping your face and looking deep into your eyes.

"Y-yeah, t-thanks." You stuttered.

Todoroki helped you up before he spoke.

"We should get going before someone else finds the remaining ties."

"And the bonus item." Izuku added.

Honestly, for a very split second, you forgot he was with you guys too. You felt deeply ashamed because of so.

You nodded at the boys before leaving the stadium and going off to find the other remaining items.

"Hey so, Kaminari, uh I just wanted to ask but did you really delete the picture?" Kirishima quietly asked.

"Yeah of course man, no worries." He blurted.

Kirishima's lip formed a small frown.

"Huh? What's wrong, didn't you want it deleted?" Kaminari asked, very concerned for his bro.

"Yeah I guess, I mean, I kinda wanted to see it." He shrugged.

"Ah shit. My bad bro. Well, you looked good in it, to be honest." Kaminari admitted, trying to cheer his friend up a bit.

"Heh, thanks man." Kirishima smirked.

Kaminari could tell that Kirishima wasn't completely happy. But he didn't want to bring it up. Not now. He would eventually say something, but when it's just the two of them.

Katsuki, on the other hand, was walking still a bit enraged. But it wasn't for the reason you'd think. Nah, it wasn't because of the picture but because of the fact that icy hot and that nerd were with you.

"Out of all of these extras that they could've teamed up with, they picked her. What the fuck is that all about?" He mumbled.

"Hey Bakugou, I deleted the picture okay, no need to keep mumbling to yourself." Kaminari called out.

"Shut up, that's not what it's about." He growled.

"Hm? Then what is it?" Kaminari questioned.

"None of your business." The ash blonde retorted.

"Aww c'mon man, it's just us three! What could it possibly be about?" Kami continued.

Katsuki stayed silent. It was clear to Kirishima that he was getting annoyed. Especially since he knew exactly what Katsuki was thinking of.

"Is it about (y/n)?" Kaminari asked.

Hearing this made Katsuki stop in his tracks. He stood still for a good minute before continuing his walk.

'What the hell was that?' Kaminari thought to himself.

He looked over to Kirishima, who by the way was unusually quiet, and was about to ask him if he knew what was up with Bakugou. Kaminari changed his mind as he figured that if Bakugou doesn't want to talk about it, then Kirishima won't talk about it. If he knew it, that is.

'If she teamed with me I would've guaranteed her winning that game. I don't even need it anyways...' Katsuki suddenly thought.

"Fuck it." He mumbled.

"Hey, if you losers want to win that game room so bad, shouldn't you hurry the fuck up. These stupid items are not just gonna be waiting for us." He spoke, giving the two boys behind him some encouragement.

At first, Katsuki wasn't taking this all too seriously, but now the game has completely changed. To him, he had to win everything, no matter what it was. He just had to win. 

....

"God, who knew it would be this difficult just to find ties?" You sighed as you took a seat next to Izuku. You were taking a small break as you tried to figure out the riddles and try to recognize any of the pictures. Todoroki, on the other hand, was, well... he went to the washroom. Sure, he may be one of the strongest, smarter students in 1-A who got in by recommendations and is the son of the number two pro hero, but he also is human.

"Right? Also, I didn't even know Principle Nezu has so many ties!" Izuku agreed with a chuckle.

"I know! I think out of all his ties, the only one that is different is the blue one with red dots." You pointed out.

"I've never seen him wear such a tie. Do you think someone gave it to him as a joke or does he only wear it on special occasions?" Izuku replied.

The two of you talked. You've always found the conversations you held with him the best. Despite being really shy and flustered at times, Izuku is an extremely good conversationalist.

"Um.. (y-y/n)?" He stuttered. His tone of voice changed suddenly. He sounded... nervous?

"Yeah?" You questioned.

Izuku paused. He was about to say something that seemed to be in the form of a serious question but ended up saying something completely different.

"Don't you think Todoroki has been gone for too long?"

Now that you think of it, he was gone for too long. You doubted that he was taking a shit but then again you could've been wrong. That's when a loud bang was heard. Since the two of you were sitting not too far from the washroom, you could hear that the noise was coming from within that area.

"What was that!" You exclaimed as you jolted up from where you sat.

"It sounded like it came from the washroom."

"TODOROKI!!!" You yelped before running off.

....

"So tell me, kid! Where is All Might?" A very hostile voice asked.

Todoroki was stuck against the wall by some sticky goo as two unknown villains held him captive and tried threatening him to get information.

Suddenly, Todoroki managed to slip his hand free from the goo and blasted one of the villains back with his ice, causing them to crash into the wall.

"Why you little shi-"

"TODOROKI!!!" Your voice interrupted the villain.

"(Y/n)..." he whispered.

"Shit! If I get caught, I'm surely going to get my ass beat!" The villain cursed.

The villain went over to his knocked out reptile buddy and tried to wake him.

"Hey man! We gotta get out of here before the real heroes start to show up, or we're getting thrown in jail!" He exclaimed.

(Y/n)'s POV

I ran as fast as I could towards the boys' washroom and almost left Izuku in a trail of dust. He was calling out my name but I couldn't stop to wait for him. For all I know, Todoroki could be severely hurt or worse.

I made a sharp turn to the boy's room and came upon two villains. One was some tall ugly dude with a mechanical arm equipped with a blade. He was wearing a black, sleeveless vest that had some weird symbol on it, along with a bandana that held his red spiky hair out of his face. The other was a reptile looking dude who wore the same type of jacket and had a scar over his eye. He also had a bandana, only it was tied around his wrist.

"Todoroki!!!" I shouted as I saw him pasted unconsciously against the wall.

I ran over to him, attempting to pull him out of the paste. The villain looked over to me and laughed.

"Hehe, good luck trying to get him out of that! You see, my buddy's quirk here is a goo that is almost impossible to get out of. In a few minutes- heck probably not even minutes, more like seconds, your little boyfriend over there will be nothing but a pile of bones!"

"Bones?!" I yelped.

"Yup. Unlike other reptiles, this guy's quirk is completely different from the venom. It's an undiscovered gooey substance that burns right to the bone!" He explained.

'No, I got to get him out before it's too late!'

I started to shoot blasts of water at the goo, hoping it would wash off and free him. Nothing. It wasn't working! Why wasn't it working?!

"Todoroki, please! Wake up!" I yelled.

I kept on trying and trying to wash the goo away, and even used different types of moves other than just shooting water. Izuku finally caught up shortly after and witnessed the sight before him. The villains were trying to escape but Izuku stopped them. He got a cut on his arm in the process but he still managed to knock fugly out and tie them up so they couldn't escape. Where did he get the rope though? Never mind! That's not what I should be focusing on.

"Izuku! Run and go get help!" I demanded.

Izuku did so as told without hesitation.

"Goddamnit! Todoroki! Please... why won't you wake up..." I started to sob.

I didn't want him to die. After all, I still need to figure out how I f-... wait.

"Shouto, please. Just wake up! I need you, so please!" I begged. At this point I was desperate. Not too long after, Izuku showed up with all the teachers. They desperately tried to free him but couldn't do so. Then, Principal Nezu spoke to me.

"(L/n), have you tried your quirk?" He asked.

"What? Of course I have, it wouldn't wo-"

"Have you ever tried raising the temperature of your water?" He suddenly asked, interrupting me.

"No, I can't exactly do that, it's not as easy as it seems it would be." I explained.

"Try it." He ordered.

I did as told and tried to raise the temperature of the water. Now I know I could've used hot water from the sink considering we were in a washroom, but you see, when I gather water, it suddenly goes cold for a reason I don't completely know.

Midnight turned the hot water on and I started to try and absorb it while trying to leave it at the temperature it originally was. It started to work, although I did get burned in the process but I didn't care about myself, all I had to do was save Todoroki.

Once I gathered enough water, I aimed at the goo and started to shoot little spurts at it in certain areas. Surprisingly it worked! I then started to shoot bigger amounts at him and soon enough I freed him! But there was a problem. He was severely hurt. He had burns all over his body and he was still unconscious!

"Vlad, take Todoroki to Recovery Girl immediately." Nezu ordered.

"Erasure, Midnight, you two take these villains to the station." He continued.

"As for you, Midoriya and (L/n), return to your parents. They must be worried sick about you."

"But, what about the party.." I asked.

"It's over. After what happened, I believe that everyone should go back to their homes." He finished.

Izuku & I did as we were told and went back to our mothers. When we arrived at the mess hall, there were parents and students all confused. Both of our moms came running towards us, flooding us with questions. We both stayed silent and just walked with them. We kept our heads low as the Christmas cheer we were once feeling was now gone.

End of POV

Mic came back to the hall with quite a sadden look on his face.

"Sorry folks, we are gonna have to end the night earlier than planned. Now I know you're all wondering why, but for now, it is information I can't tell. The only thing I can say is, that something bad had happened. But, thank you all for showing up tonight and I hope you have a good rest of your evening. As for the prize for the scavenger hunt, we can't give it away since we had no winner yet. So I'm very sorry about that. That's all I needed to say."

After that was said, Mic left the hall and the parents & students gathered their coats and left too.

When you got home, you went straight to your room. You were worried for Todoroki, extremely worried for him. Tonight was supposed to be a good night, how did it turn out like this? All these negative thoughts rushed in and out through your head. You started to blame yourself.

"If... if only I was stronger, he would've got out of that shit before he started to burn... this is all my fault... I'm so sorry, Shouto." You wept.

You ended up crying yourself to sleep. After about an hour later, your mom walked into your room and sat down on your bed with you. She placed her arm around you and held you close to her. She still didn't know what exactly happened, but what she did know is that you were obviously somehow involved and that whatever happened has got you feeling worried and depressed.

Time skip.

Days had passed, and you still had no word on Todoroki. You couldn't even enjoy your Christmas since that's how worried you were. The thought of losing someone extremely important to you was stressful. Then, as you were about to take maybe your 16th depression nap, you heard your phone go off. You weren't going to bother looking at it but suddenly, it started to ring. You picked it up and surprisingly, it was Todoroki! As soon as you saw his contact name, you answered it faster than the fast verse in Eminem's song "Rap God".

"TODOROKI! OH MY GOD YOUR OKAY! I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU! HOW ARE YOU, ARE YOU FINE? DO YOU HAVE ANY LIFE THREATENING INJURIES?" You flooded him with questions.

Todoroki laughed.

"No, I'm okay. Recovery Girl's healing process worked. I have no scars whatsoever. Well, besides my eye." He reassured.

"Thank god, that's good to hear." You finally calmed down.

"I was worried sick. I couldn't even properly enjoy my Christmas." You continued.

"Really? That's too bad. Sorry I made you worried so much." He apologized.

"No no, you don't have to worry about anything, if anyone should be apologizing it should be me. I-if I was just... a bit..." you started to tear up and it became hard for you to speak.

Playing back the memory hurt more than anything.

"Please don't cry. None of it was your fault." He calmly reassured.

Yes, you're a hardcore bihh that don't give a flying fuck about certain things but you still were human, and humans can be very emotional at times.

"I'm sorry. Anyways, when will you be released?" You asked as you wiped those tears away.

"I don't know, maybe sometime today. Why?" He asked.

"Well, I kinda have something for you. I was gonna give you it after the dinner but..." you didn't even want to finish your sentence. Todoroki got the idea though.

"Really? You got me a gift?" Todoroki sounded quite surprised. As if it's his first time receiving a gift from a friend.

"Yeah. I mean I know I could have dropped it off at your place or the hospital but, I don't know where you live and no one has mentioned anything on where you were getting treatment. I know it wasn't at the school since I checked there." You mentioned.

"I see. Well, maybe you can come over some day. I can introduce you to my sister and brothers." He replied.

Hearing this made you blush.

"I'd like that." You kindly replied back.

At that moment, a sudden feeling came upon you. It was a feeling you had felt back at the school's stadium.

The two of you talked on the phone for about two hours until he got the word that he was being discharged. That's when the call ended. Before hanging up, Todoroki told you that you can give him his present in a few days.

Another time skip brought to you by laziness, rushing, etc.

It was now the last day of Christmas break. Which meant that you can finally give Todoroki his gift. The day you two were talking on the phone for hours, you decided to meet up at a restaurant. It wasn't a big restaurant, just a small one but not too small. When you arrived, you realized you were a biiit early. 15 minutes exactly... Never fails. Usually, when you have a get together you're either too early or a little too late. It was never just perfect, well, other than the study da- ahem, uh, tutoring you got from Katsuki but that's a different thing.

You were expecting to wait long but to your surprise, Todoroki showed up early too.

"(Y/n), I wasn't expecting you to be here so early." He commented.

"I wasn't expecting you either." You laughed.

"Well, I guess we both get anxious about not showing up on time." He also laughed.

"Since we're here, shall we order something?" He kindly asked. You would have agreed but sadly, you had no money and you didn't really like the idea of people buying you something unexpected.

"I would but I have no money..." you frowned.

"That's okay, I'll pay for your food." He gestured.

'He's so kind, I cannot. TAKE ALL MY UWU'S-'

"T-thanks!" You blushed.

Todoroki ordered a simple beesechur- I mean, cheeseburger, while you ordered (fav food). The two of you had some small talk in between your bites of food and finished about an hour later.

"Well, seeing how we've talked about almost everything and had already finished our food, I guess that means there's only one thing left to do." You spoke before pulling out a wrapped gift.

You handed it over to him and waited for him to open it. A small smile appeared on his face as a sparkle appeared in his eye. It was honestly the most precious thing you have witnessed all day.

"It's not much since I was kinda on a budget..." You explained.

Todoroki opened the gift and revealed a handmade scarf. You made it for Todoroki since you noticed that he didn't have one during the winter and noticed he seemed pretty cold while walking to the school.

"No, it's okay. I really appreciate it. Thank you." He kindly thanked.

Suddenly, he also grabbed a box which was sort of big. This surprised you and got you excited.

"Todoroki, you didn't have to..." you started. But still, he placed the box on your side of the table and looked at you with the softest face ever.

"Well, actually I kind of did. After seeing how happy you were..." he started.

You gasped at his words.

"Oh my god. Todoroki you didn't-"

His smirk said it all. You immediately started to rip the wrapping paper off and revealed a Nintendo Switch!

"Merry Christmas." He greeted.

"OH MY GOD!!! HOLY SHIT THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I FEEL LIKE MY GIFT IS SO CHEAP. TELL ME, WHAT DO YOU WANT? ILL SAVE ALL OF MY MONEY IN ORDER TO REPAY YOU!" You yelled.

"Don't worry, there's no need." He replied.

"Are you sure? This is pretty expensive after all." You asked, still thinking of ways to repay him.

"It wasn't that expensive, only a couple hundred." He retorted.

'A COUPLE HUNDRED! JESUS, HOW MUCH MONEY DOES THIS GUY HAVE?!'

"O-okay..."

The evening ended with Todoroki giving you a ride home and your mom asking you millions of questions about your outing with him and where you got the switch from.
