It was now the final week of June, which meant that there was only a week remaining until the final exams.

"I DIDN'T STUDY AT ALL!!" Screamed Kaminari, who ranked 21... out of 21 on the midterm. Poor guy...

"BETWEEN THE SPORTS FESTIVAL AND INTERNSHIP, IT TOTALLY SLIPPED MY MIND!!" He continued.

"Indeed." Tokoyami agreed, who ranked 14/21.

"Midterms were, well... we haven't covered much since starting school, so they weren't all that tough... But now we've had all these other events... I think the finals are gonna be much harder.." Mentioned Sato.

"Sucks that there's gonna be a practical exam too." Gloated, wait wtf? MINETA??

'HOW TF DOES THAT LITTLE TWERP NOT HAVE A RANKING WITH DOUBLE DIGITS??'
(Reminder, his ranking is 9. It's barely above double digits but ya knowww.)

"WE THOUGHT YOU WERE ONE OF US!" Ashido & Kaminari shouted in sync.

"Ashido, Kaminari! Let's try the best we can! It'd be great if we could all go to the training camp, right?!" Izuku cheered. Such a pure boi. (Ranked 4/21)

"Yes!!!" Iida agreed. (2/21)

"Haven't you been attending class? How could you possibly fail?" Questioned Shouto. (5/21)

'Damn, Todo really knows where to hit where it hurts. Even if it's unintentional..'

"You two... if it's academics you need help with, I could lend a hand." Offered Momo.

Despite explaining she wouldn't be much help on the practical, Jirou, Sero & Ojiro asked if she could help them too. The reaction Momo had was the cutest thing ever! You were gonna ask her too if she could help until your name was called.

"Hey, (y/n)! How'd you do?" Greeted Kirishima.

"Oh, hey Kiri." You greeted back.

"I'm not sure if I really wanna say... I'm kind of embarrassed by what I got.." I finished.

"Ah c'mon, it can't be any worse than mine... I got... fi...en." His voice trailed off as a look of shame cast on his face.

"Kiri, I know you don't want to repeat it but.. I didn't really hear you." You told him.

"oh. my bad... I got a... fifteen.." he said sadly.

You couldn't help feeling sad. Not for him, but for yourself.

"It's okay... I got... a... I got a... sixteen..." you frowned. You felt embarrassed about admitting it. Hell, even fucking Mineta got higher than you! A sudden feeling of depression came over you and Kirishima noticed. He lifted his head and started to try comfort you.

"Hey hey hey, it's okay. Look, maybe we can ask Yaoyorozu to help us ou-"

"Yes of course!" She shouted, the students around her then started to happily praise her.

"Ah... I guess her plans are settled." He spoke.

"Hey dumbasses..." said an aggressive voice.

Both you and Kirishima turned and saw Katsuki. Oh boy, what was he gonna do...

"Bakugou, what's up?" Kirishima spoke.

"Man, Yaoyorozu sure does have virtue..." you mumbled while looking in their direction.

"Hey! I've got virtue too. I'll tutor you both till you're dead!" Katsuki growled out of nowhere.

'That's right... He ranked third. But wait- this is freaking Bakugou we're talking about! Only thing I'll probably get out of having him as a tutor is a new hearing aid...'

"Oh? I knew I could count on you!" Exclaimed Kirishima.

"Whaddya say (y/n)? You in? I'm sure Bakugou doesn't mind!" He asked.

You looked over to Bakugou who didn't seem to care. He took a quick glance at you and made direct eye contact which made the both of you look away and blush.

"Uh... I guess so..." you awkwardly agreed.

"Alright! So it's settled! Bakugou, when and where do you want this to take place?" Kirishima asked.

"Why the hell do I have to decide on a place and time, I'm already helping you two losers." He replied.

"Because you're the tutor." Kirishima reminded.

Katsuki rolled his eyes before mumbling the place & time.

"You assholes better not be late. I'm not gonna wait all damn day. Go away now."

"Why you gotta be like thaaaat?" Kirishima sighed.

As the morning continued on, it was now time for lunch. Ahh yes, your favourite part of the day where you can sit & eat, while silently eavesdropping on the other student's gossip. But not today... Today, you noticed that Todoroki was nowhere to be found in cafeteria. You looked around once more and frowned, confirming he wasn't here.

'He's not having lunch? Damn, I guess we're eating alone today.'

You walked around the cafeteria until you found a place to sit. Once you put your tray down, you pulled out your phone & earphones and looked for something to watch. But, just before you could start it, the sudden figure sliding into the seat across from you caught your attention. You looked up only to see, Kaminari? Doesn't he usually sits with the others?

"Hey (Y/n), is this seat taken?" He asked as he slowly placed his tray down.

"Uh, no." You awkwardly replied.

"Cool. So what's up?" He questioned.

'What's with the sudden socializing?'

"Nothing much, just... eatin." You shrugged.

"Haha why do you seem so awkward? I'm not gonna bite. Unless you want me to?" He teased.

"What??!" You gasped.

"Nah, I'm joking." He laughed.

"Anyways, what I really wanted to do was apologize for the way I was acting at the sports festival. I knew I should've stopped the first time, I have no excuse for the way I was acting." He spoke.

This surprised you since you had already forgotten about it. Kinda.

"Yeah, that's okay. It's in the past now so it's fine. Also, sorry for drowning you during the rescue races we had." You replied, awkward rubbing your arm.

Kaminari laughed before he replied. Soon enough, you found the two of you getting to know each other a bit more throughout the lunch period. Turns out, Kaminari was a chill guy, sure he could be a pervert at times but he actually apologizes for his actions. The two of you chatted until lunch was over, before walking back to class together.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly is your relationship with Bakugo, Todoroki & Midoriya? Like, why does everyone tease you about them? I get Todoroki since you guys are always together, but what about the other two?" He questioned.

For a very split second, your mind went blank.

"Uhhh, we're all just friends. I mean, Izuku, Katsuki & I were childhood friends from the start.... Up until a certain someone developed their quirk and started being pretty mean. And Todoroki & I, well we started being friends at the start of the school year." You explained.

Kaminari went quiet as he began to think.

"So, you're JUST friends with all of them? Nothing more?"

"Yeah, pretty much." You mumbled, averting your gaze to the side.

'I don't know.' The sudden voice was back.

"Man, you must be pretty close friends with Todoroki if you went on a date with him." He mentioned.

"WHAT?"

"Don't worry, I won't tell a soul I saw you guys sharing nachos at the arcade." He reassured, stretching his arms behind his head.

"Where-"

"I went there with Bakugo & Kirishima. I was sitting at a table taking a little break and noticed the two of you. The arcade was pretty crowded that day so I understand why you didn't recognize me or Kirishima. Bakugo on the other hand..." he explained.

"D-Did Kacchan see?" You warily asked.

'What the hell, why am I so worried about what he thinks.'

"Hmmmmm, I don't think so. Pretty sure he was too focused on trying to save Princess Peach." He laughed.

After the two of you arrived to class, you found it was still somewhat empty. The only students who were there was Iida, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Katsuki and Jirou. Katsuki glanced over at the door before knitting his eyebrows together and looking away in annoyance.

You went to go sit at your desk and started scrolling through your social media. While scrolling, you came upon a slight nsfw fanart of one of your favourite characters. You immediately lowered the brightness on your phone and made sure no one was too close by to see. You stared at the details of the art and internally screamed.

"This is a masterpiece..." you accidentally mumbled.

"Hi (Y/n), what are you looking at?" Asked a sudden voice. You jolted up in fear and quickly hid your phone.

"NOTHING!"

You looked up and saw Izuku standing in front of you looking a bit frightened.

"Izuku. Sorry, wasn't expecting you to be there so suddenly..." you sighed.

"Oh, I should be the one apologizing then! I didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to come say hi." He nervously scratched.

"I see." You smiled.

"So... what were you looking at? You seemed pretty focused when I walked in the class." He curiously questioned.

Your face began to heat up out of embarrassment. Immediately, you tried to blow it off as nothing, but was suddenly interrupted by another voice.

"If you don't want anyone being so damn nosy, then maybe you shouldn't stare at your phone and fantasize about pictures out loud like a freak."

'Oh shit, I was mumbling again? Nevermind, gotta say something back.' You looked away from Izuku & saw Katsuki glaring at you from his desk.

"First of all, I'm not the only person who does this. Second of all who are you to tell me what to do, you're not my dad." You defended.

"No shit. If I had a daughter, she sure as hell wouldn't be as bitchy & annoying as you." Bakugo insulted.

"ExCUUSE ME? WHO ARE YOU CALLING A BI-"

"Quiet down and take a seat." Aizawa interrupted.

"Class is gonna start in exactly 2 minutes, so if Mineta, Kirishima & Sero don't show up within that time. They're marked absent." He continued.

'Damn, they can't even be marked in late? That's the first I'm hearing about this.'

Immediately after that was said, the three barged into class laughing. Aizawa gave them "the look" which made them shut up instantly.

Class went on as usual. During the end of he day, everyone began to talk about the gossip they heard over lunch.

"Robots? Seriously? No sweat!!" Kaminari exclaimed.

Hearing this piqued your interests.

"Hey guys, what're you talking about?" You questioned, walking up to the group.

"Hey (Y/n), Hagakure here was telling Ashido and I that over lunch, a student from class 1-B said that the practical exam will be a battle against robots. Just like the ones from the entrance exam!" Kaminari explained.

"This is gonna be a piece of cake!" Ashido cheered.

"Yeah! Against robots, we just let loose for an easy win!!" Kaminari celebrated.

"You two really need to dial back your quirks against human opponents, but this way.." Shoji started.

"Watch out, summer training camp, cuz here we come!!" Kaminari & Ashido cheered.

"Uh, Hagakure, but how did the student from class 1-B gain this information? Did they say?" You quietly asked.

"Oh! She said she heard from a third year that she knows." Hagakure answered.

"I see..."

"Humans or robots... I'd just blast them all, what's the big deal, morons?" Katsuki rudely interrupted.

"Who're you calling a moron, moron?!" Kaminari defended.

"SHUT UP, YOU'RE THE MORON WHO CAN'T EVEN FIGURE OUT HOW TO DIAL BACK HIS OWN QUIRK!" Katsuki fired back.
(OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH *air horns go off in the background*)

"Hey! Deku!" He suddenly called out.

"Seems like... you're starting to manage that quirk of yours. Either way... stop pissing me off with all these stunts." He continued.

The students looked confused, not knowing what Bakugo meant.

"He means... the other day when Deku was moving around like Bakugo." Uraraka reminded.

"Oh, you're right!" Ashido remembered.

"I'm not looking for some hollow victory, like at the sports festival! When it comes to our term grades... like it or not, I'm gonna crush you into dust!" He paused for a moment.

"I'll open the gap between us so wide it'll kill you!" He finished.

"You too, Todoroki, you asshole!!" He yelled.

'Okay but what did Todoroki do? He was just sittin there, chillin' and minding his own business????'

With that said and done, Katsuki left with a bang. Literally. He slammed the door..

"Haven't seen Bakugou so serious in a while..." Kirishima commented.

"Is it uneasiness? Or shear hatred?" Questioned Tokoyami.

'Katsuki...'

You walked into your house and saw that your mom was on the phone with someone.

"Oh, (y/n) just walked in. I'll talk to you later Shino."

With that said, she ended the call and greeted you home.

"Welcome home, how was your day?" She asked.

"It was fine I guess. Who was that you were talking to?" You replied.

"Oh, just an old friend."
