The audience cheered loudly as Present Mic did some after-lunch announcements. They seemed to be much louder than what was heard earlier in the day.

Midnight explained how the tournament would work and right before she was about to draw lots for the first matchup, Ojiro raised his hand and spoke.

"Um... excuse me. I'd like to drop out."

'WHAT?!'

He explained his reason for wanting to drop out, and that was because he apparently didn't remember what happened and how his team won. Then, another student from class B also wanted to drop out after hearing what Ojiro said.

"We have a strange turn of events.." Present Mic pointed out.

Midnight looked at the two boys and spoke.

"How naive and green..." she started.

She swung her whip in the air and exclaimed: "I LIKE IT!!!"

With that, they were both withdrawn from the tournament and made their way to watch from the stands.

"Replacing those two will be members from Team Kendo who took fifth place!"

'Who was Ojiro teamed up with anyway?'

Everything continued to go on as Midnight began to draw the lots. When she finished, the results showed up on a screen. The first two people to fight were Izuku and...

"Shinso..." You whispered.

You continued to look at the bracket and saw that if Izuku won, he would go against Todoroki. Unless Sero won instead, but let's be real, Todoroki is much stronger than Sero, so the outcome of that fight is already decided. After the participants saw who they would be going against, the tournament was set aside so they could rest up and prepare themselves while other fun events happened. Which you had to participate in. The events weren't really for anything other than entertaining the audience. Although, they were kind of fun despite being tiring.

Time skip brought to you by laziness.

At last, the tournament had finally taken place. The first fight was about to begin and it was Izuku verses Shinso, aka the dude who triggered you by dissing Katsuki.

'I wonder what his quirk is? Well, whatever it is, I believe that Izuku will win.'

Present Mic explained the rules before shouting "Start". Izuku started dashing towards the Aizawa rip-off but suddenly came to a stop.
(pls don't hate me for calling him that, I'm kinda writing some parts from the characters pov, I personally think that Shinso is a good boi)

"What the heck? Why did he stop?" You wondered.

"Dammit Midoriya, I warned you!!" Groaned Ojiro.

"What do you mea-"

"MERE SECONDS INTO THE MATCH AND MIDORIYA IS FROZEN IN PLACE?! COULD THIS BE SHINSO'S QUIRK?!" Shouted Mic.

"What do you mean you warned him? What's wrong with him?"

You looked over to Ojiro in hopes that he would explain, but he was too distracted as he was watching the current events unravel. This annoyed you and made you place your hands on both of his shoulders and start to aggressively shake him.

"Ojiro! Explain! What the hell is happening to Izuku!!"

Ojiro looked at you frighteningly since he didn't expect that. His eyes went wide as he started to stammer, which you found kinda strange since he doesn't really seem like the kind of person to act like that.

"M-M-Mi-Midoriya..."

'Shit, I need to calm him down.'

"Ojiro, breathe, relax. I didn't mean to scare you but I really need to know what's going on with Izuku.." you apologized.

The boy cleared his throat before he explained what he supposedly warned Izuku about before the match with Shinso started.

"What! You mean to tell me that right now at this exact moment, Izuku will have no control over his actions whatsoever?!!" You commented in disbelief.

Ojiro just nodded in response.

Suddenly, you heard Shinso speak.
"... turn around and walk out of the ring."

And with that said, Izuku obeyed as a pet dog obeys their owner. His face looked blank, there was no expression whatsoever.

Izuku's POV

'My body!! It won't listen... dammit, stop!! I said STOP!! Even after Ojiro warned me! Crap. Not like this... everyone, everyone has done so much for me!!'

"IZUKU SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!" A voice yelled at me.

'I recognize that voice!'

"DON'T GIVE UP YOU CAN'T GO DOWN LIKE THIS!"

'(Y/n)... she's right. But, my body won't listen. Dammit! I'm almost at the end! If I walk over that line, I'm out!'

Just when I was starting to think that everything was over for me, I saw something, no, someone! I don't know who they were, but something started to give me a strange, unexplainable feeling. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain coming from my finger and was snapped out of the brainwashing.

End of POV

"Midoriya!!! He stopped?!" Commentated Mic.

'Holy shit how?!'

The entire stadium was shocked. Not everyone knew what was happening exactly, but Izuku's action caught them by surprise. Even Shinso himself.

The indigo-haired boy started to question Izuku, but he refused to answer. It was clear that Shinso's plan was failing. Not much action was happening until Izuku went charging towards Shinso and started pushing him backwards in an attempt to get him out of the ring. Shinso then swung his arm and landed a hit on Izuku's face.

Izuku kept on pushing but stumbled forward when Shinso moved to the side. Shinso grabbed Izuku's face and started pushing him backwards! The two boys went at it until Izuku grabbed the other male's arm and flipped him over his shoulder and slammed him onto the ground. Just like what he did with Katsuki during the rescue training.

You looked over to Katsuki to see if he saw the same thing you did. His eyes were widened in disbelief.

'Oof..'

"Shinso is out of the ring!! Midoriya moves on to the second round!!" Announced Midnight.

Hearing the words "Midoriya" and "Moves on to..." made you extremely happy for Izuku. So happy that you felt a tear trickle down your cheek.

"He also got you with that shoulder toss, right Bakugou?" Pointed out Kaminari.

'Be careful with your words discount Pikachu..'

"Shuddup dunce face..." insulted Katsuki.

'Too late.'

Shinso got up off the ground and the two boys made their way to the centre of the stage to bow. When finished, they both made their way out of the ring in order for the next fight to take place. But before Shinso left, his peers were complimenting him and cheered for him on how he did. Honestly, you couldn't help but clap for him too despite not knowing him as much as they did.

You decided to go congratulate Izuku on his win before he went to see Recovery Girl. Of course, he got all blushy and shy but to be honest you found it adorable as always, you'd never admit it though since he's just a friend. On your way back to go watch the next fight between Todoroki and Sero, you actually met up with Todoroki. He looked pretty pissed so you thought that you shouldn't bother him right now. Todoroki noticed you walking by and surprisingly spoke to you as if he wasn't just annoyed a few seconds ago.

"(Y/n), what are you doing here?"

"Oh, I was just coming back from seeing Izuku. Don't mind me." You awkwardly replied.

"Midoriya?" He questioned.

"Yeah, just went to congratulate him. Your fight is about to start right? You should go. Sorry for wasting your time." You said as you continued walking.

"You never waste my time though..." said a distant voice in the back of his head. Todoroki was confused but quickly shook it off.

"Oh, Shouto. Good luck, I'll be cheering for you." You said before you actually left.

Hearing that made him feel not so annoyed than he was before you two spoke, but unknowingly, you calling his first name put a little smile on his face.

"She called me by my first name."

Elsewhere...

"Finally, the good part of the sports festival is on." Said an eerie voice.

"The first fight was kind of boring, but that green haired kid made it a bit more... interesting. Don't you think, Kurogiri?" The person continued.

"I agree. But the kid that we should keep our eye on is the one known as Bakugou, he is known to have an impressive quirk. Wouldn't you agree, Shigaraki?" Replied another voice, Kurogiri.

"You're right. Maybe we can recruit him. But to do so, we need to come up with a plan." Agreed the one who was known as Shigaraki.

*sigh* it's been too long since my last update so I apologize. Also, I've written the villains plan here earlier than the manga but that is because I feel like it's been too long since I last wrote about them if that makes any sense. I'll end this lil a/n by saying thank you guys for all of your support and that I hope you enjoyed.
Ps: I'm going to start writing the next chapter immediately after this so I can hopefully update sooner.
