Part 15
(Y/n)'s POV
The next day the school was temporarily closed, but it was understandable considering what just happened. To be honest, I don't think all of us in class 1-A would get over this so easily. I mean we were just starting school, so having that occur in the first week was pretty damn scary.
I spent my entire day at home since my mom wouldn't let me go anywhere. Apparently she was paranoid that something bad will happen while I'm out. So instead I stayed in my room and binge-watched Stranger Things (if you don't like the series, then imagine that you're watching something else).
A few hours later...

"Oh, that's too bad. But I understand. I hope you have a good day."
With that, the short conversation ended. You didn't know why, but texting him made you feel a sense of joy. A smile was unexpectedly forming on your face, which caught your mother's attention.
"What are you smiling at? Are you texting your boyfriend?" Your mom teased.
"What? No! He's just a friend!" You replied, trying to hide your embarrassed expression.
"Oh, so it is a boy! Can't wait to meet my son in law." She continued.
"Mom!" You shout, hiding your face in a pillow.
It was silent, the only noise that could be heard was a crowd screaming with joy on the Ellen show. The only reason why you weren't in your room and sitting in the living room with your mom, was because you needed some D. Vitamin D (wink wonk). Suddenly, the silence broke when your mom spoke again.
"So... what's his name?" She poked.
"Huh?"
"The boy you're talking to. What's his name?"
"Mommmm..." you groaned.
"I just want to know." She replied, staring in your direction with curiosity.
You took a moment to think about whether you should tell her or not, before sitting up straight on the sofa and looking back at her. But, before you revealed anything, you explained to her that he was just a friend. She nodded her head with agreement before waiting for you to speak.
"Shoto... Shoto Todoroki."
As soon as you said his last name, your mother's eyes widened with the dropping of her jaw.
"Todoroki?! You mean he's related to Endeavor?!!!" She exclaimed.
"Uhh, yeah. That's his dad..." you replied confused at the fact that she didn't know.
"I heard that he had a son going into U.A but I never thought that you would befriend him!"
Her comment offended you a bit.
'What the heck is that supposed to mean????'
"Ah that sounded bad, I'm sorry. What I meant is that I never thought the son of a famous pro hero would befriend my daughter." She apologized.
'That's actually worse, but I get that she tried...' you thought before going on to reassure her.
"It's okay mom. Anyways since you seem fine with me having a male friend, I was wondering if I could go hang out with him?? Just as friends." You asked, making sure to add the last part.
"Now, (Y/n). I told you that I didn't want you going out today knowing that villains attacked you & your class just yesterday..." She lectured
"I know I know. But I'll be okay. Besides, I doubt they'll just come after us when there's so much heat right now. Pleaseeee mom." You begged.
She took a moment to think about what you said. You "patiently" waited for her answer as you stared at her with eyes almost as big as a puppy's. Before answering she took a quick glance at you from the side and saw your "puppy face" which didn't really look like a puppy at all, to be honest...
Originally she was going to say "no" but your facial expression disturbed her too much to deny you.
"Okay."
You sprung up with joy, and tried to thank her while in your short-lived happy state. But, before you could let out a peep, she lectured you on one thing.
"But on one condition. Never make that face again when trying to beg, okay?"
You looked at her confused before slowly nodding in agreement. Once you were done speaking to her, you went to your room and called Todoroki.
"Hel-"
"Hey Todo, I convinced my mom to let me go out. So, what did you want to do today???"
"What the fuck? I didn't say anything about doing anything with you today. Also who the fuck is Todo?"
Your expression dropped, hearing the response. You took your phone away from your ear and saw that you accidentally called "Firecracker head", a.k.a, Katsuki, by accident.
'Shit...'
"Oh crap. My bad. I wasn't trying to call you. Sorry for wasting your time, goodby-"
"Wait! You still didn't answer my question." He interrupted.
"Look Katsuki, this call was an accident, okay? So just let it g– hello? Ugh, what's the point in asking me something and then hanging up while I'm speaking... Oh well, this time I'll make sure that I'm calling Todoroki."
And so, you called Todoroki, for sure this time, and told him the news. Hearing that you were allowed to leave the house delighted him. He told you that he wanted to take you to an arcade. Of course, you agreed and so on you guys met up with each other and went to the arcade.
Elsewhere...
'Todo? Seriously who the fuck has a nickname like that?'
I lay down in my room thinking about that accidental call. Some familiar feeling came over me but I ignored it. It was the same way I felt when I saw (y/n) talking to Deku back in middle school.
"Screw it, I'm going to the arcade..."
Back to you & Todoroki...
"Wow, how are you so bad at this game?" You teased.
"You're one to talk, you're in 4th place." Todoroki retorted.
"And you're in 8th, so ha!"
There you were, playing Mario cart together. It was the third lap and you were driving like a shit load of running zombies were chasing you down, as they do in Black Ops on transit mode. Further into the race, you were finally able to speed past the CPU's and make it to first place. Although, the one thing you didn't notice, was that Todoroki was catching up really fast. Then, right as you were approaching the finish line, a blue turtle shell struck down to your character and slowed you down. You were pressing the buttons on the game simultaneously in an attempt to have your character recover faster. When it did, Todoroki's character went speeding by and won the game.
"NO!! I WAS SO CLOSE!" You shouted in defeat.
"So. You were saying?" He teased.
"Shut up..." you fake pouted before lightly punching him on the shoulder.
"So, what should we play next?" You asked.
"Hmm. What game are you the worst at?" He continued to tease.
This side of Todoroki surprised you. It was unlike him but you didn't mind, instead, you actually enjoyed seeing him like this. It made you feel really comfortable with him, and he unknowingly felt the same way.
"Wait, before we go to another game can we get some food? I'm kinda hungry." You asked.
"Yeah, sure. I'm hungry too now that you mention it." He replied.
Both of you walked to the counter and started skimming through the menu, trying to select something to eat.
"Hi, how may I help you?" Asked the girl behind the counter.
"Uhh, yeah can I get a small tray of nachos?" You asked.
"Okay, and how about you?"
"Same as her.." Todoroki answered.
"Okay, anything to drink?"
You both ordered your drinks and sat down at a nearby table waiting for your nachos. Not five minutes later, the girl came to us and told us there were no more small nacho trays.
"Would you be okay if we gave you a large?"
"Ah yeah, thanks." You replied.
She then walked off and went back to the kitchen. A few more minutes passed by and finally, your nachos were done, but the weird thing was there was only one tray. You tried asking someone but they were too busy cooking and couldn't hear you due to the sound of dishes being put in a dishwasher.
You walked back to the table and started to explain to Todoroki that there was only one large tray.
"That's ok. I wasn't that hungry." He replied as if it didn't phase him. Although his stomach said otherwise. You felt sorry for him and asked if he wanted to share with you. He hesitated before agreeing.
"Why'd you hesitate?" You asked.
"I just wasn't expecting you to share with me. No offence but you seem like you wouldn't share your food."
"Well. You're not entirely wrong. Sometimes I share my food with people, but only the ones I'm close with and care about."
Hearing that made him blush, especially the last bit. Although you didn't notice since you were too hungry and focused on eating. Then, someone's sudden shouting & swearing caught your attention.
"SHIT. STUPID GAME!!"
You looked in the direction of the scream and witnessed Katsuki angrily shaking an arcade game.
"Ah shit. What's he doing here?" You whispered hoping he wouldn't notice the two of you.
"Looks like he's playing games..."
"Shhh. Let's get out of here before he sees us, knowing him he might try to start something..." You whispered before grabbing your nachos & Todoroki's hand, speed walking towards the doors.
When you were outside you started laughing while Todoroki stood there confused. You calmed down after a few minutes and apologized for laughing out of nowhere with no explanation.
"Ahh sorry about that, I just can't get over Katsuki's reaction! Anyways, shall we get going?"
"Okay."
You only took a few steps before suddenly bumping into someone.
"Oops, sorry!"
"Ah, my bad!"
You and the stranger apologized at the same time. You looked up and saw another familiar face.
"Izuku?"
"Ah, (y/n), and Todoroki???" He spoke.
"Hello, Midoriya." Todoroki greeted.
"What are you two doing?" He asked.
"We were just le-"
"We're on a date." Todoroki interrupted.
An awkward silence began to fill the atmosphere as you & Izuku stared at Todoroki with open jaws & wide eyes. Then, you broke the silence by explaining to Izuku that it was not a date and that you were both just hanging out today.
"Ohh.. I see." He nodded, grinning awkwardly. "Well, see ya." He waved.
"Izuku wait! I thought I should let you know that Kacchan is in there." You warned.
"Oh. Thanks for warning me (y/n), but I'm sure I'll be okay. Have a good evening." He replied.
"Okay then. See you around Izuku!"
'It seems like the broccoli is sprouting into a tree.'
With that said & done the two of you parted ways with him.
"Also, what the heck was that all about??" You questioned Todoroki.
"What was what about??"
"Telling Izuku that we're on a date!?"
"Oh, isn't that what it's called when a male and female hang out together???" He asked raising his eyebrow.
"What, no! Well, sometimes I guess. It all depends if you're dating someone or not. But anyways this wasn't a date, we were just hanging out as friends do." You explained.
"Oh, I see. I thought it was a date since that's what my sister told me." He retorted.
"Todoroki, have.. have you never had a female friend before??" You asked concerned.
"No, not really. I mean I was pretty popular with girls back in middle school, but I didn't associate with them in any way. I always distanced myself from others." He explained.
"I see... Well, I should get going now. It's getting late and my mom is probably worrying about me." You stretched, looking up at the sky.
"Okay, well let me walk you home." He offered. Of course, you agreed.
The walk wasn't too long. After you made it to the fence gate of your yard, you and Todoroki said your goodbyes after thanking him for the fun day. With everything said and done, Todoroki left, with a smile.
When you walked into your house, your mother stood a few meters away from the door, looked right at you and said...
"So, did he kiss you goodbye?"
"MOOOMMMM!!!" You screamed with embarrassment before walking off to your room.
"I LOVE YOU TOO!"
The Midoriya Home...
'Were they really on a date?? Or did Todoroki just say that? Even though (Y/n) did explain that it wasn't a date, it's still bothering me...'
