Chapter 10- Home

I know it's been a while lovelies, but I'm back with another chapter! Happy Pride Month everyone!

Ramona

Our trip back to the States was a much more comfortable one than my Beloved took here. I used my resources to get us first class tickets, and the cabin to ourselves. Josie was perplexed by it, but considering how much I teased her on the flight she ultimately stopped arguing against my logic.

She's so easy to fluster and tease, it's almost unfair.

However, the long trip with close proximity only served as a reminder that I still haven't fed from her yet. I was practically drowning in her scent the entire time, and it did a thorough job of testing my self restraint. I want to taste her so badly, to know if she tastes as good as she smells. Though I would not mind testing that theory in a more carnal sense.

I groan internally as my fangs descend at the thought, now not being the time or place. I normally have no problem with teasing her, but at the moment she's driving through the city that is her home with me in the front seat and the three guards that came with us as protection detail in the back of the SUV. With her driving and an audience right behind us, there is no point in working myself up. I may have had fun getting her turned on at my castle with people around, but I have no interest in an audience watching us play.

As long as she's mine, no one else gets to see her unravel but me.

"Rae?"

I turn to face Josie, her face turned to me as we sit at a stoplight.

"Yes Lovely?"

"You ok? You've been quiet since we landed."

I chuckle, if she only knew what I have been thinking about.

"I'm fine Lovely, just thinking about you." I answer, enjoying the sight of her blush.

"Oh, um..." She stumbles out, jumping at the sound of a blaring horn behind us. Apparently the light changed.

She takes it as an excuse not to answer. The sound of a muffled chuckle has my gaze turning to the back seat. The blond guard in the middle composes himself immediately, no doubt feeling a little guilty.

His presence was actually a last minute decision, considering I was only going to bring the other two guards with us. But Kira said I should bring him too, that she saw something good happening if I did. She didn't say what it was, just grinned like she usually does when she's keeping her secrets.

The guy is relatively new, newly turned and newly part of the guard. His best friend turned him to save his life a couple of years ago, and he's finally adjusted enough to his vampire abilities and received enough time training to be given assignments.

I normally wouldn't have someone so new on my detail, especially considering it is protection for Josephine as well now. But Kira insisted, and I do not argue when she insists I do something.

The sound of a phone ringing pulls me from the thought, and look to see Josie answering her cell.

"Hey Eli." She answers.

Ah, her little brother. She's told me about him, expanding on the hints Kira gave me. Apparently, the reason she is still in contact with him despite cutting off from the rest of her family is because he is like Lovely. He is exclusively interested in men, which is not okay in their family.

"Yeah, I'm on the way. How was everything while I was gone?" She continues. She said he agreed to looking after her place while she was out of the country, as well as her pet cat. Smoke, I believe her name is.

"Good to hear, Smoke didn't give you a hard time did she?"

I know her brother is big reason she has been hesitant on moving in with me. He is the only family she's got left, and she doesn't want to leave him behind. She cannot tell him what I am, and would have a hard time keeping in touch if she officially left the states. A downside of a lot of human mates, they either have to lie to their families or lose them completely.

It makes relationships complicated.

"Well at least she didn't shred the curtains, or the pillows.." She sighs, and I chuckle at her expression. The fur ball must be a feisty thing, I think we'll get along just fine.

"Alright, we'll be there shortly."

She hangs up, glancing at me as she puts her phone down.

"You look concerned Lovely."

"Oh, um, it's just my place. It's not the Ritz, and the only two bedrooms are taken by me and my brother..." She replies, gesturing towards the security in her backseat.

"We'll be fine Lady Josephine, we have dealt with far worse." The brunet says, he being the oldest of the three.

"If you're certain." She sighs, not looking pleased with their future discomfort. I can tell by the look on her face that she's trying to find a way to remedy it, and I can't help but feel proud. She already cares for the people of my coven, despite not being part of it herself.

After a few minutes of silence we pull into a small neighborhood, small houses lined up on both sides of the street. After a moment of contemplating which of these identical houses is hers, she pulls the car into the driveway of one, and I grin at the only difference it has- a flag stand next to the steps with rainbow flag.

"Well, we're here." She says as she parks, only to jump as the back door opens and shuts-the brunet guard, Derrick I believe, automatically doing a search around the house.

"I'm still not used to how fast you all can move." She mutters, unbuckling her seatbelt.

"You will in time." I reassure.

Derrick is back before she can open the door to get out.

"No signs of anyone but humans, Your Majesty." He states, and I nod.

"Good."

We all get out, the guards insisting on carrying the luggage much to Josephine's frustration. She'll get used to it eventually, until then it will be entertaining for me.

"Something up Leon?" The female guard, Rose, asks the blond.

I turn to see him frozen in place, eyes fixated on the house. I follow his gaze to see Josephine hugging a young man who is clearly her brother, Eli. One look back at Leon's face tells me everything I need to know without him saying a word.

Kira...you devious thing.

"Mine." Leon says so quietly only us vampires can hear, his body trembling as he restrains himself from embracing Eli on the spot. I can understand the frustration well, as brief as it was I struggled with not embracing Josephine the moment she was awake and aware of my presence.

"You brought friends?" Eli asks, and I look at him with a smile as I walk up the steps to introduce myself first, as well as give Leon some time to pull himself together.

"Hello, I'm Ramona. Josephine has told me a lot about you." I say, holding out my hand, and he takes it.

"Eli, which I'm sure you know. Ironically, I've heard nothing about you." He replies, narrowing his eyes at Josie accusingly.

"Sorry, I was kinda distracted." She says sheepishly, and Eli scoffs.

"Clearly. My sister goes on vacation to another country and comes back with a girlfriend, meanwhile I'm here chronically single and babysitting the demonic fur-ball she calls a pet." He grumbles, and I bite back laughter. At least that answers one of Leon's questions.

"She is not a demon!" Josie exclaims, and Eli rolls his eyes. In the process he seems to notice Leon, and I fight back more laughter as he gives the blond a thorough appraisal with a satisfied smirk. He and Josie may share looks, but they are definitely different people in personality.

"You brought me a souvenir, how thoughtful.~"

Noticing his stare, Josie smacks his arm, though it does not seem to phase him. I glance over to see Leon still staring at him, teeth clenched tight as he holds back a hiss. No doubt Eli's forwardness is testing his self control.

"Sorry, my brother clearly has no shame or manners...certainly doesn't have a filter."

"Why should I be ashamed?" The boy chuckles, clearly enjoying himself.

"For objectifying him, for one!"

As they bicker, I move closer to Leon. Derrick and Rose suppressing laughter at the show going on.

"Patience young one, your vampire is starting to show." I whisper, referencing his descended fangs. He clears his throat, forcing himself to break eye contact with Eli to get himself under control.

"Apologies, Your Majesty." He whispers, his tone strained.

"It is all right, I understand the struggle well."

"Well, are you three going to introduce yourselves?" Eli questions, and we turn to see him looking over Leon again. The poor kid is truly going to have his hands full with this one, if everything goes well.

"Derrick."

"Rose."

"And you handsome?"

Leon swallows hard, and I suppress the urge to laugh as Josie shakes her head in disappointment.

"It's Leon."

"Leon...I like it.~"

Goddess, no filter whatsoever.

"Are you friends of Ramona or?" He continues.

"My security detail." I explain, and he raises an eyebrow.

"Is that so? Wow JoJo, she's pretty and well off- how'd you manage that?"

"Shut up, and don't call me that- you know I despise that nickname."

Sibling dynamics are very entertaining.

"Fine, fine- come on inside, the little gremlin has missed you."

I let Derrick and Rose head in first with the bags, letting Eli show them in. I gesture for Josie to come over to me and Leon, the kid about to burst at the seems with questions.

"What's up?"

"We have questions about Eli." I reply, and she raises a brow.

"He's my Beloved."  Leon blurts out, and I sigh at the lack of tact. Josephine eyes widen, realization kicking in.

"Oh! Um, what do you want to know?"

"Do I stand a chance?" Leon asks, and I chuckle at his nervousness. She grins, finding it amusing too.

"Absolutely. He's gay, been single for two years, and you are definitely his type."

"Whats his type?"

"Tall, blond, protective- so you being bodyguard is a huge plus in his book."

"What about the vampire thing?" He specifies, and she snorts.

"My brother has been reading paranormal smut since he was sixteen, his preference in male main characters are vampires." She explains, rolling her eyes. I do not even have to look at Leon to know his fangs are descended again. "A lot of his books have the male lead on the front, and almost all of them look like you."

"Fuck." He hisses, his hand going over his mouth.

"I would still take a little time before telling him. Fantasizing is one thing, it suddenly becoming reality is another for a human." I state, Josephine nodding in agreement.

"Right." He agrees, looking at the door eagerly.

"I have almost no doubt that he'll be okay with everything. Just know that once you two are a thing, you'll never be able to get him off you."

"Excuse me."

Leon immediately heads inside with a couple of bags, leaving me and Josie to laugh at his reaction. As the door shuts behind him a thought comes to mind, and I glance at my beloved as a knowing smile curls my mouth upwards.

"So Lovely, what is your preference in spicy books?"

I've never seen anyone blush so hard so quickly, and I cannot help but laugh at her 'deer in headlights' expression.

"I...I don't have one." She mumbles out, obviously lying by how her heart is racing. She cannot even look at me now.

"Are you sure about that? Because you seem awfully knowledgeable about the material- like you have your own little collection.~"

She says nothing, just bites her lip in a way that I want to. I take a step towards her, closing the distance between us so I can lower my mouth to her ear.

"How many books do you have Lovely?" I whisper, and she shivers at my breath on her ear. "You can tell me."

"I- I don't know..."

"Ten?" I guess, and her heart accelerates.

"Twenty?" A little faster now, but she still doesn't answer.

"Come on, be a good girl and tell me." I coax, and her body trembles next to me.

"Twenty-seven." She whispers, embarrassment burning her cheeks. My own heart jumps at the thought, of my lovely Josephine having all those stories keeping her entertained, getting her off. My fangs descend at the thought of her pleasuring herself to them.

"Vampires?" I ask.

"Some..."

I trail a hand up her arm, delighted by the goosebumps there as she shivers. Her breathing becoming short and rapid.

"Do the women in your stories look like me?"

She nods.

"In what way?"

She swallows hard, hands clenching as I trail my hand over her shoulder.

"Dark hair, and r-red eyes. At least, with the vampire ones..."

I cannot suppress the growl that her words elicit, and her whimper in response nearly undoes my struggling self control. As I inhale deeply to calm myself I nearly lose it, the scent of her arousal causing my fangs to throb.

"Lovely.~" I purr, cupping her neck and rubbing her jaw with my thumb. "Do you have any idea how badly I want to taste you right now?"

"Ramona..."

Just as I move to kiss her lips, the front door swings open, startling us as Eli clears his throat.

"Come on lovebirds, don't be giving the neighbors a show!"

I cannot help but laugh at the frustration on Josie's face, still red from my antics. Pressing a kiss to her cheek, I go back to her ear.

"I look forward to reading those stories Lovely."

I grin as I walk away, going inside as she mutters curses under her breath that I can very much hear.
