The next day she woke up with a start and Jackie rushed in to comfort her about her bad dream. She calmed her down and didn't ridicule her for the plague of bad dreams she was always constantly having. Instead, Jackie comforted her and helped get her back to sleep for a little while before it would be time to wake up completely. unknowingly to her and the two adults' people were watching after Adelina and not in the good way either. Truth be told Jackie completely understood what the fifteen-year-old girl was going through right now. She knew because witches like them were always hunted for many different reasons. Vampires hunted them for the taste of their blood how sweeter it was then humans' blood or animal's blood.

Hunters who were born or grew up in the life of hunting the supernatural always thought witches to be evil. Then Coven leaders also hunted those who had wronged their covens and it was a never-ending cycle. Jackie herself had witnessed her best friend murdered after being killed by their Coven leader. That's why Jackie took the young witch in and completely understood what she was going through. Ron however was also costumed to the knowledge of loss in his own way. He personally lost his first mate and was given a second chance when it came to Jackie. She found him a few months after the loss of his first supernatural mated wife.

He also lost their child that same day he lost his werewolf wife who had marked him and clamed his as her mate. In reality there are many different types of mates, werewolves call it a mate as well as witches call it the same. A soulmate for a shapeshifter was different they called it imprinting on another soul. For some vampires it was a blood singer or mate it all depended. Some vampires had one of each, a mate and a blood singer, Blood singers were something different then a mate was. A mate for a vampire was different due to their scent and you could feel the stronger pull to them.

A blood singer was different to a vampire because their blood basically sings to you in a way. It makes it harder to stay away from them especially when they are human. That's how a vampire has a blood singer, if their original intended blood singer dies. Or becomes a vampire then they no longer connect to that vampire any longer. Werewolves and shapeshifters are two different things, wolves are cursed while shifters have a similar yet different way of life. A shifter is meant to be by a purpose, they are brought upon by certain tribes usually and are gifted an ability to protect.

A werewolf, mind you there are different types of werewolves in this world to be precise. One wolf can change at will, but the first shift is the hardest due to breaking every bone in your body. Another type is cursed and only shift every full moon due to the curse they trigger when taking an innocent life. Hence the reason it is called a curse and not a happy moment in ones life.
