He heard my little 'haha' and said "Is something funny lady Adela?"

I mumbled without much thinking " Why do you think it was a laugh or something funny?" thank god he didn't quite catch what I said.

"I'm sorry I didn't quite hear what you said there?" he said

"It's nothing, Sir Lucas. Please have some tea" I said. I have to control myself and not show him I am scared or else it can be game over.

"Yes thank you lady Adela" he said. Ugh, I should apologize for what I did back there. I don't want to get on this bad side yet.

" Sir Lucas I want to again apologize for what I did back there." Please just think of it was child's joke

"Ah, it's okay. I guess I was a bit out of line but that's the first time someone outside my family insulted me in front of me". OH, shit shit please anything but that.

"I find it quite refreshing." he said smiling. Yes smiling.SMILING? Shouldn't you like give a death threat by now?

"I'm happy that we get to be friends based on our feelings and not because of our family powers," he said again smiling. I look at him with no emotion but lots of crazy things were going through my head.

"Thank you Sir Lucas. I'm happy that you think of us as friends".Smile Ela smile. You have to.

"Why wouldn't I think of us as friends?"

"Yes that' true," I said having an expressionless face.

The wind was slow but for some reason, it was cold wind isn't it supposed to summer? We then started talking about things we like and don't. If you see from another person's perceptive you would say 'Oh my look at those two. They look like they are having so much fun. They look lovely together. Two innocent kids having tea but one was an adult inside and the other was.....

"Sir Eckart the Duke is calling you to return". A butler came and said that. Then that piece of shi- I mean Sir Lucas started getting up and

"Thank you for the tea lady Adela and I enjoyed our time together. Hope we meet each other again" he said that taking my hand and kissing it. Wow if I was the real Adela I would have been fainted by now. I smiled at him and saying "Your welcome Sir Lucas. I too enjoyed our time together."Like heck I did.

I'm alive?. Oh my god. I'm still alive. I'm in my room right now laying in my bed. Let's take a moment and breathe. Okay now let's see. I'm in the world of a novel. Well, that's unexpected anyway my role is kinda important. But to think I met one of the main characters in the novel. Did he turn into that yet? I don't think so. Anyway, there's still time left before the female lead arrives. I finally got the life I wanted and I'm not going to throw this way like this. Well avoiding them wouldn't do anyway good because if I ignore them. They may think I don't like them and it will also them so.

I have to come up with something that has the perfect reason. Think Ela think. Wait. Wasn't there an academy in the Naithen Kingdom for 8 to 14 years old before going to the real academy? But many people from the main capital of the empire don't go because the examination is pretty hard. Only a few can go. Haha isn't it the perfect time to show my education skills? If I can get there I will be able to live peacefully until the female lead appears. I'm not 100% percent sure if I can get in but let's just hope. I have to ask father first.

"Papa". I said as I entered his study room

"Ah Ela, yes what is it?" he said looking away from his work

"You know I heard that there is an academy in the Naithen Kingdom for 8 to 14 years. I actually wanna go there". I said with a serious face. Of course, my dad saw it and he also turned serious.

" And why is that you want to go there?". Well, of course, I thought of a reason.

"I also heard that only a small percent and go there and I wanted to try it and make papa proud". I said giving the cutest smile I could. Of course, I had to smile because this reason isn't valid so this has to work.

"But Ela you already made me proud. There is no need for you to do that. I'm happy with you just the way you are." Dad, I'm touched and emotional but now is not the right time.

"Papa pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee" wow that was a long please and after more than half-hour of arguing he finally said

"Huh. I can't win against you now? But you will have to write letters every day and I will at least visit once every three months okay?"

" Yay, papa will be coming to see me. " Thank god that works. I'm thankful that I got such an amazing father.

"Ela you should go to bed now. It's late now" Dad said.

" Yeah goodnight papa," I said smiling a little and closing the door.

Finally, that's done. For the next 6 years, I will hopefully be at peace. Let's go to sleep and tomorrow let's start packing hehe.
