Six months later

As I seated calmly, my eyes wandered outside the window of the carriage. Gazing at the beautiful green lush trees and flowers that swayed in the breeze seemed very pleasant. Shutting my eyes, wondering what passed in the last six months, I let out a short smile. In these last six months, Aria and I got really close. We call each other best friends now. How did we get so close? Well, maybe I'm the first person that approached her, the first person to not judge what she likes, and perhaps the first one to talk to her naturally. We furthermore bonded over several things. She also knows what sarcasm is, so she can pick up when I'm sarcastic.

We share everything we do together. I feel happy I made a friend. But that's the only nice thing that was good in these last six months. My hands form into a fist and, I'm already irritated remembering about it. Edward. That guy. I seriously wish I could cut his dick off. I mean, how much can anyone annoy you? This guy crossed the annoyance limit, I swear. These last months, he has been visiting on and off. Even though he has to attend the academy, however, he still comes. On top of that, he doesn't even inform before he is visiting. He will just come out of nowhere.

We will bicker whenever we see each other, but possibly through this, we got to know each other, wow now that sounds cheesy. Anyway, you can say we are on the friends level though there were moments that it felt like something more. I have to get rid of these thoughts. It wouldn't work out anyway.

Lastly, Lucas, I'm not sure but, he also visited me during these six months. However, whenever I was alone with him, I felt ominous. The feeling I was getting from was not pleasant at all. Though he seemed sweet and caring, there was just something in him that told me to stay away from him and, I had an idea of what it is but, it's not like I can solve it.

While I was having all these thoughts, the carriage stopped. When I looked at why it stopped suddenly, what I saw in front of me was ethereal, the academy.

The Vanidestine Academy. That's the name of the academy I will be attending. This academy is only for nobles, royals, and imperial families. You can't even get in with a scholarship.

It's was also safe since it's on guard for 24 hours. For students studying here, it's like their second home. Not because they are staying here most of the time. It's because the academy got everything you need. From libraries to shops to even fucking banks. Like you can go there and take out your money and buy anything from the academy like anything.

Anyway, I finally reached the place I really wanted to avoid, but what can I do? The coachman opened the carriage door and waited for me to come out. After arguing with myself, I finally sighed and stepped out of the carriage. While I stepped out to the carriage, the breeze suddenly blew with flower petals. Wow, it feels like I'm the main character here.

I lightly took steps to the stairs and eventually stood in front of a high open door. You would see the hundreds of students here, some who came for the first time like me with the luggage behind them, the second years who seemed disappointed that break was over, and lastly, the third years that were the only ones that seemed rational. An aide came to help us and, he led us to the dorm.

It looked like all the rooms were arranged by hierarchy. The higher your status and influence is, the more fabulous room you get.

After walking through what seemed endless rooms, I finally reached mine. The door itself looked luxurious. When the aide opened the door, I could feel the diamonds and gold things flashing in my face. I'm not even surprised anymore. I got used to getting shocked by this. I studied in the room. It had a large and, I mean, a rather large bed. It had a wide window, where you could see the garden below, and the room itself seemed enormous with a huge sofa and dressing table. Wow, this screams fancy.

Maria entered the room and greeted me. If you are asking why maria is with me? Then the answer is simple because the academy tells us to bring a butler or maid. Nevertheless, she started checking the room and opened up the luggage organizing them. I smiled and said-

"Maria, I'm going out for a walk while you make the room." smiling at her.

"Yes, Miss" Maria nodded at me.

I slowly unlocked the door and was about to pass the room alongside my room when suddenly a girl came in front of me. Me and her both screamed as we crashed into each other. I looked at her and, she looked at me with shock. It was-

"Ari, how-?" I asked, still confused and shocked at the situation.

"Ela, oh my god-?" She said, also confused and shocked at the situation.

"Wait, so our rooms are beside each other?" I asked.

"It seems so" she said.

After seconds passed, we still looked at each other and, we both hugged smiling-

"Oh my god, I can't believe our rooms are beside each other." I spoke in an exciting tone and breaking the hug.

"Me too. I'm happy that we can spend more time together." My past self wouldn't believe her saying this.

"Anyway, where were you going?" I asked curiously.

"Oh, I thought of going for a walk since I wanted to see the sunset." She replied.

"Oh really? I was going for a walk too. Sometimes it's scary how we think alike." I responded smiling

"Haha, it's true. So want to go together?" She asked.

"Sure, let's go." I replied.

We were now in the garden. It looked beautiful with all the different kinds of flowers and scents. Ari and I sat on a bench. Actually, I thought of giving each other nicknames. Since I thought it would be unique and she agreed. I was so excited at that time.

"Did you see the garden from your window?" Ari questioned me.

"No, I didn't. I will see it tomorrow morning." I replied, to which she nodded. Silence fell again but, it was a comfortable silence. The reason why mine and her room are beside each other is that. She and I are the second and third most highest ladies in the empire. So it was expected.

"The sunset looks so lovely right?" I said.

"It really is, but tomorrow is gonna be an important day?" She questioned.

"Yea, are you nervous?" I asked.

"No, it's more like I'm excited."She answered.

"Hehe, me too." I said.

"It's becoming quite dark. We should head back now." Ari stated.

" Yeah, you go first. I will come later." I said, gazing at the slightly dark sky.

" Okay, goodbye then. Have a goodnight Ela" She smiled and went on.

After some moments, it was eventually dark and getting kind of cold so, I decided to head back. Then suddenly, a voice uttered-

"What are you doing here when it's dark outside?"The person said. Damn, I know that voice too well. I turned around and stared at him.

" Shouldn't I be the one asking what are you doing here...

Hello, lovelies? How are you? Anyway, today's chapter is not long but, I tried. To be honest, I'm losing motivation for this, sometimes I think I should drop this story or even my writing.
