Andrea's POV:

"Their hide was successful for a few more months. Edward finally confessed his feelings for mom, and they lived happily, but it wasn't happily ever after. It lasted only till we were 5 months old and Jake finally found about us", By now my heartbeat doubled. I could hear my heart beating in my throat. But I had to tell her everything.

"He somehow got to know about mom being in contact with Mr Jones before she ran away, he could have known earlier but Mr Jones was not a person Jake could mess with easily. So he used his dirty methods. He collected the data of people who were in regular contact with Mr Jones and even hired people to keep an eye on him. Finally, he got to know about mom and Edward and also the place they were hiding. Mom was living her fantasy life with her children and the man who loved her truly. Edward cared for us as his own. He was too good to be true.I remember the horror on moms face when she described the day Jake and his goons barging in their house. Mom was in the bedroom feeding me while Edward went to the grocery store and he took you along with him. The only thing mom could remember was clutching me to her body tightly. Jake dragged mom to the car and pushed her in without even considering that she had me in her arms.He injected mom with something to make her unconscious. When mom woke up she was at His place in their old bedroom. Jake kept asking her where Edward was and where my twin sister was but every time mom refused to tell", I paused taking a break, my throat felt dry.

"He never found us?", Adria asked.

"Yes, you were saved", I gave her a warm smile which she did not return. Instead, she started crying.

"What about you? Knowing how Jake is, I can't even imagine how your life has been till now. I feel guilty living happily while my sister and my mother were out there suffering", she cried. The pain was evident in her voice.

"You don't have to be guilty, Adria. If I had even given a choice I would still choose that life to keep you away from it"

"What.. What happened when he took you?", she asked.

"I don't remember the initial years but according to what mom told me Jake kept asking about Edward and you but even mom didn't know where you were. It was like you both disappeared", I said.

"Dad never tried to contact mom?", Adria asked.

"He didn't. That doesn't mean he didn't love mom or was a coward. When they were together mom made him promise that if anything bad happens in future and if even one of us has the chance to stay safe they won't try to contact the other. It will only make him or her fall in Jake's trap", I explained. "Besides mom was glad that at least you were safe"

"What happened to mom?", she finally asked. I heaved a sign.

"Jake was always an abusive father and husband. He never treated mom nicely but he didn't even acknowledge me as his daughter. I was always craving for a fathers love. Jake would keep searching for you and when he failed he would take his anger out on mom and me. But that was just the beginning. A lot of years passed nothing changed. He couldn't still find you. Mom somehow convinced him to put me in a school but there was always someone to keep an eye on me. He was afraid that even I would run away. I was 15 when during our school's annual function I met a guy. He was a university student and an ex-student of our school", I smiled at the memory. "He came to visit our principal and saw me on the stage giving a speech. He says he first fell in love with my voice and then me. For a few days after the function, I saw him standing outside the school's gate and watching me but he never approached me as I always had dad's... I mean Jake's people waiting at the gate. One day he barged in the classroom held my hand and dragged me out of the class. He confessed about his love then and there in the cafeteria. I was too afraid so refused him immediately. But he never gave up. For the next few months, he would randomly show up and confess his feelings again and again. I finally decided to give him a chance"

"That's cute", Adria commented. I just smiled at her.

"Yeh. He was the sweetest guy. He was someone important so the school never stopped him whenever he dragged me out. I was enjoying the newfound freedom and love. I told him about my father being abusive and he promised me to to get out of the misery as soon as he graduates and could support me and mom. But then..", I paused debating whether I should tell her or not.

"But then what?", Adria pushed me.

"Jake lost everything. His drug business, escort business, everything was exposed. He was doomed and became desperate to get hold of Grandfathers property. He was restless searching for you and Edward. He was going crazy. Despite knowing that even if he found you he can't get the money before we turned 18, he still believed that he could do something if he finds you. He stopped me from going out, even for school. I was locked in another room, away from mom. And.. when he couldn't get money from anywhere he offered me to a politician to settle his case", I finally told her not able to carry the weight anymore.

"He didn't!!", Adria screamed, she was beyond shocked. "How could he. He is still our dad. Does he have any feelings. You were just 15?", she cried. Her voice barely audible at the end.

"Don't call him our dad. He is a monster and is capable of only being a monster. He can't be anything else", I spat. "When mom got to know this she couldn't take the shock and had a stroke. Jake now started blackmailing me to sleep with his elite friends. He said that he won't treat mom if I refused. He never let them know I was his daughter. Not that he cared. Whenever I tried to ask for help I would be punished. I agreed to his terms cause I wanted mom safe. But as I said he is a monster. The doctors said mom would have to undergo a surgery. Jake made me work to gather money for it but never put the money into mom's treatment. She.. she couldn't hold any longer. She left the world. He did not even give her a proper funeral,  Adria", I was sobbing by now. Adria on the other hand was numb. Blankly looking at my face.

She stayed still for a few seconds before letting out a loud cry and sobbing. "How could he? Mom.. ", she kept on repeating.

I somehow stopped my tears and said. "You have to get out of here at any cost. I won't sign those papers and the only way he can make me do it is using you against me"

"I won't go anywhere, Andrea. You have suffered enough and now WE will make him pay. I want to see him die a horrible death. I don't care if he is my biological father. He is a mere sperm donor. I want to see him suffer now. I want to make him feel a hundred times more pain that he gave you and mom", she looked dead in my eyes. "WE will make him pay for everything".
