"Princess you were mine before you even took birth and you will remain as mine now" He said smiling the sinister smile.

I looked at his face and it felt familiar and then I recalled the face was same as the demon King.

I woke up with a jolt to find myself surrounded by maids and I heard footsteps moving towards me. I found that was Alex, I got up from my bed and hugged him. I felt my tears falling out of my eyes and him trying to comfort me.

Astra's POV

When I was composed, I looked at Alex and said "Alex... he .. was here. He  said he will come again and he will make sure I will seek only him" When I finished Alex said "Princess he will not able to touch even a hair on your body. I will make sure of it".

"Alex you know he is immortal and ..." I left the sentence there.

He looked at me and smiled "Princess .. yes I know I am mortal but that doesn't mean I cannot protect you because if I was not capable then I would not have been given the responsibility to be your guardian".

I looked at him and I felt that this was true but I was still afraid how would he be able to save me when he was mortal and demon king was a not only immortal but powerful and his dark energy was very intense.

Also the dream I had just now was telling me that he has more control over me. He made me dream, dream about him. He showed his possessiveness by that dream. Ofcourse it was just a dream, it cannot be true how can It be it cannot be real but it felt so real.

"Princess... Princess .." I heard Alex trying to talk to me.

"Yes Alex" I replied.

"What happened? What are you thinking?" He asked.

For a moment I thought I will tell him about my dream but then it was nothing but a dream.

"Nothing.. just that how he made his appearance when my fairy has forbidden supernaturals from entering the Kingdom" I said.

"Don't worry Princess. I will find it out for you. But you rest while I do that" He said.

"No.. I can't rest now. I can't how can I ? When I know the enemy we are trying to drive away is right infront of us and though we try to stop him he makes his way inside" I said.

"Princess I assure you I will find out" He gripped my hands and said "Trust me".

"Alex how will you find out. Tell me" I asked.

"I will go to the Oracle and see if she can enlighten us" He replied.

"Fine then I will go with you" I said.

"No Princess your body needs rest. I know you have your powers but still you need rest so you can control them" He advised.

"Do you think I will be able to rest when I know he can come anytime anywhere? Last time he was standing infront of me and no one could see him no one could hear him and he was standing right in my chambers. He said he will come again and without you being here do you think I will be safe" I asked.

"Princess... I... fine let's go" He said.

Alex POV

I and Princess moved to Oracle. As soon as we reached near we were about to knock it when it opened it's own accord. We stepped in and found that Oracle Madelina already seated in a chair near her globe.

"Come near me child" She said.

Princess walked where she was seated and then she gestured her to sit.

"So what brings the Commander-in-chief and Princess to my chamber at this time of night" She asked.

"I thought you would be giving answers by now" I replied sarcastically.

"Don't be so judgy Warrior Remember I helped you last time" She said.

I remembered the knife she gave me when I went on the mission to protect Princess and yes it helped alot to fight the supernaturals.

"Well looks like Warrior is going to be mute for a while. So Princess what brings you here?" She asked looking at her.

"Today Demon King made his presence in front of me. I want to know how" She asked.

"Oh my... Did he? I am sorry I cannot help you much on that but I know who will" She said.

I looked at her frowning when she said "Sweet just put your one hand on the globe and take my other".

Princess did as told and  then she chanted "Mother of all witches I seek you for guidance".

She kept chanting and soon there was wind blowing fiercely and the weather changed completely and it started raining and thundering outside. Princess looked at me and I assured her with my eyes.

Then suddenly Oracle body went unconscious and then globe blazed white and when she lift her head and I saw a beautiful woman sitting instead of Oracle Madeline and her gaze turned to me.

"Who are you ??Oracle? Where is Oracle Madeline" I asked alarmingly and removed my sword from its sheath.

"Do not fear for her my child" She said. "My name is Clara and Oracle Madeline summoned me here so I feel it must be very important or else she would not have".

"So you are the one she talked about" I looked at her suspiciously.

"Ok Royal Guardian... No need to be suspicious. Let's get down to the purpose I was summoned here shall we?" She said sarcastically.

"Yes We asked Madeline for answers and she called you because  she believed the questions we seek answers to she cannot help us but she knew someone who will and then here you are" Princess replied to her.

"Ah... my lovely Princess. I was wondering how you would look this time. You are becoming more and more beautiful every time I see you" She said.

Princess blushed but then frowned and asked "Did we met before".

"Oh dear many times, but now is not the time for memories so what is it that you seek from me" She asked again.

Princess immediately became serious and said"Today Demon King made his presence even though my fairy has forbidden any supernaturals from entering. I have no idea how he did that?" 

She smiled a knowing smile and said"Well it was inevitable to happen, for you two were meant to meet" .

"What do you mean?" Princess asked.

For a moment Clara looked at me and then said "He my dear is the ancient soul who had been lonely for long time but then he was awarded with someone who would fill the void in his heart, his mate. But he messed up and now he seeks her".

"If he seeks her then why does he need me?" Princess asked curiously.

"He just doesn't need you... You are the one he seek my dear for you are his mate.. the one who filled the void in his lonely life. You my dear are an old soul and were given to him as his mate".

"What?? I am his mate.. How?? How is that possible? " Princess asked again.

"You are his mate and no one can deny that but since he messed up, you became precious to someone else too, who is older than you but not as ancient as him" She replied.

"Who is he?" Princess asked.

"Who my dear?" Clara asked again.

"The one who I became precious to" Princess asked biting her lips.

She chucked and said "Sweety he can be anywhere all you have to do is open your eyes. But Demon King will not let you slip away".

"But he is dark, evil. How can he want me and why was I given to him" Princess asked confused.

Clara laughed and said "Yes he is dark evil and you are light, kind-hearted and compassionate. That is why you are his mate you complement him. You create a balance of nature and that is why you are his mate" Clara replied.

"But if I complement him then why do I seek someone else" Princess asked.

"Even though you complement him and complete him. He does not complete you. There is someone else who does" She said.

"Can I know who he is?" Princess asked.

"I cannot answer it . But I will say you may not know but your soul does and I cannot tell you who" She replied.

Getting irritated with the way conversation was going about soul mate rather than the reason how demon king made his presence I interfered"Clara I think we are diverting from the main topic. We called you here not to know who her soul mate is ? But to know how Demon King made his presence inside the protection spell".

Clara looked at me and said "Hmm.. Always the smart one. Well he did not make his presence but he sent his shadow here. For he cannot make his presence, but he can make his shadow travel if there is already an evil present inside here".

"Evil inside here.. I don't think. I guess you are wrong" Princess said not believing Clara's answer.

I looked at her but she smiled and said "If I am then ask Alex".

"Alex ?? what does he know about it" Princess asked looking at me and Clara.

I was shocked at her answer and asked irritatingly "I am not sure whatever you mean Clara. But what I want you to do is stop playing around and answer our questions".

She looked at me apprehensively and said"Alex try remembering it fast or Princess will be in danger".

Her answer brought out the urge to be protective and so I asked her sternly"But If her life is in danger then why don't you tell us when you know it. I am sure you can help us".

"No I can not but I can guide you. Find the evil soul and get rid of it else she will be gone before you realise it" She replied.

My jaw clench and asked her again"Clara... please tell us " but seems like she was gone and there on the chair seated Oracle Madeline once again.

Madeline was totally exhausted and her body slumped. I carried her to her bed and then she opened her eyes and asked "Did you find the answers to your questions Warrior".

"Rest Madeline.. I got what we were seeking" I replied looking at Princess.

Princess frowned at my answer but kept quite and I ordered maids to take care of Oracle Madeline and made my way out of her chamber. 

Princess followed me and asked "Alex why did you lie to her".

"Princess Madeline is not well and if I tell her that we didn't get the answer she might not feel good and to encourage her I said we did. But we are not as clueless as we were earlier atleast we got a hint that there is some evil that we have to get rid of so as to eliminate the threat of Demon King. So I would say we got what we were seeking" I answered hopefully.

She nodded her head and then she asked "Alex how will we find out who that person is?"

To this question of her I had no answer so I said "Trust me Princess I am clueless but soon I will have answer to it. Till then I will guard your chambers".
