Dark King made his way towards us but when she turned and glared at him he stopped in his stance and then she uttered "No one shall touch us until we are safe. I forbid any power touching me and Alex".

I turned to the princess and she smile at me before she was lost consciousness, probably the ordeal with Victor and Demon King has taken a toll on her powers and her human body was trying to cope up with it by shutting down. I held her in my arms and pulled out my sword in case anyone tries to interfere but I then saw there was a shield around us and no one could reach us. I took the princess out of the palace and found there was a horse waiting for us. I put her on the horse and back and jumped after her and made our way to our Kingdom.

KING EMMANUEL'S POV

When she came to know Victor has forced her to agree and was going back on his word I could not hold anymore. She had a pained expression on her face which I could not bear to see. I made my presence known and soon the commotion started. I looked at shocked expression on my beloved's face when she saw me I smiled at her and turned to Victor to challenge him and soon we were fighting.

I charged at him and he aimed for me but I am known to be unfair so yes I disappeared and materialised to the other side. Vile creature didn't see me disappearing and pierced the poor sacrificial human. I was about to attack him from behind when he was taken far away from my reach to the ceiling breaking it in the process I wanted to know the source of this power when I saw Astra glowing in white light and her golden hair turning silver and her blue crystal soft eyes turning to white cold ones. I was stunned to see the image before me.  She looked divine power on the way to do justice, on the way to punish the wrong doer. I was motionless at my place. I remember her cursing him and I jolted out of the trance I was in when she had plunged the sword right through Victor turning him into a stone with only his eyes as the moving part. 

I was transfixed at my position watching her move to the Human and freeing him from the bonds. Then she ordered Vampires to go to their King Christopher, the tone she had at that time was so commanding even I would not have dared to challenge her. When I tried to make a move towards her I saw her glaring at me and that look was enough to break my heart. I felt multiple knives stabbed through my heart to feel that she felt threatened by looking at me and all she saw after fending off the Vampires me as her next enemy.  She didn't seek my comfort and she definitely didn't trust me to keep her safe for she had wielded a shield around her to keep me away from her. 

And when I saw her fainting in the arms of another man with a peaceful expression, an expression which I should be the one making her feel made me feel lifeless. I wanted to kill him with very being of my existence but I did learn from Victor's situation that this human was someone special to her and this will aggravate her more and seeing her in distress was the least I wanted and I had never cared about any woman but she was the one I respected. Although I would have fought her for my pride but then I don't want to hurt my Angel. So I held my temper in check and watched her moving away from me and when I could see no more I vanished in air and materialised in my castle. Though I came back to my castle but picture of her in another man's arms didn't leave me.

I cursed that I won't be able to touch her if she doesn't want me to. So I have to gain her trust. I had waited for my angel for so long then definitely I can wait for her to fall for my charms. I will make her mine.... and this thought alone brought smile on my lips and wiped off the distress of seeing her content with another man.

Alex POV

We arrived at the palace and I was thinking on the events which happened 3 days ago. Yes she had turned the cruel Vampire to stone. I could not understand what triggered the action from her. She generally is so caring and after seeing her turn so cold hearted I could not believe that it was the same innocent princess I fell in love with.  She felt so different at that time like she was possessed. But now seeing her I think she's  back to her normal self my innocent, pure and mischievous princess.

 I love her but I am not going to admit to her or anyone now or ever. I will give my life for her for I have promised to take care of her till she finds her soul mate.

Astra POV

I was back in palace and I was happy that all my people were safe. I thanked my angel for making it happen. I was learning to fight from Alex and my practice session to tap my power was also in full swing.

I was exhausted after so much of training. I had my food and retired early. I was sleeping when I felt the same pull I had felt when I was at Victor's Palace. I looked everywhere but no nothing. I walked to my balcony and stood watching stars.. They seemed dazzling in the dark night and made me smile.

"So beautiful and out of reach " I whispered.

"Yes just like you" I heard a voice say.

"Who's here?? Make your presence known" I demanded.

"Your wish is my command love but you have forbidden me... the voice responded.

"How is that you can talk to me and yet can't make an appearance" I asked.

"You know me not but your angel does..." he said.

"Stop talking in riddles. If you didn't make your presence know I would call for my soldiers" I talked in the direction I felt voice came from.

But this time no response, I moved around at all the corners and thinking I am going paranoid I thought it would be best to call my soldiers.

"Soldiers" I yelled and soon five of them are in my chamber. 

"Look at every nook and corner and find if there is any intruder disturbing my rest" I ordered.

Soon the soldiers spread across every nook and corner and one by one came empty handed.

"Oh they cannot dear... they cannot" I heard the voice again.

After whole of the chamber was searched and also balcony and also the soldiers alerted the ones who were in terrace of palace and the ones who were patrolling down to see if anyone escaped but no result.

I sat down thinking was it my imagination. 

"No love it's not your imagination. I exist , I am real and I am dying to see you already" He said in a deep voice.

"So why don't you?" I questioned.

"Then do you give me permission to enter your palace through the protection spell?" he said.

"I guess if I can hear you so you are already in" I replied.

"I wish I was but do you want me to" He asked in eager tone.

"Well I guess I do. I don't like surprises and I would like to know who you are?" I replied.

"No you have to be sure my dear" I heard him say again. That made me thoughtful that might be it is a dark power who wants to lure its way in my Kingdom but curiosity got best of me and so I gave my permission.

"Well then yes you can come in Palace but if you hurt anyone you will be thrown out of the protection spell and would never be able to make it in" I said in warning tone.

"I promise I won't. I don't mean harm love, not to you or anyone of your Kingdom" I heard him say.

I was looking everywhere in the chamber and then I heard his voice again.

"Look at me love I am here" I heard the voice from my back.

I turned and found the man dressed in black standing in front of me. I looked at him and tried remembering where I have seen him.

"Well dear in Victor's Palace" I heard him speak.

I frowned how he could read my mind. I looked at him he seemed too handsome for earthly creature but who am I kidding I am myself not one. I felt his intense look wavering over my body. It made me uncomfortable but I knew better to show my weakness.

He was smiling staring at me so I asked "What are you staring at?"

"Nothing you amaze me Angel. You are so beautiful so ethereal that I just can't take my eyes off you" He said.

"What do you want from me?" I asked ignoring his words.

"You..." He answered.

I glared at him and then I felt him disappear and felt him near at my rear and I felt him close to my ears and whispering "You is all I want love. I had been waiting for you for centuries" This alarmed me and I turned to face him while he said "Now that you are here but see the irony I can't touch you. I feel so helpless and nothing in the world has made me feel so helpless as you have" He said.

"If you think you can flatter me with your words then you have another thing coming. I am surprised that you think you can just sweet mouth me. While you are at it I must tell you that between you and me we know you are here for my powers" I replied in dismissing tone.

"Oh my love you hurt me gravely by being so indifferent and so cruelly crushed my heart" He said keeping his hand over his heart.

"I can be what I want to be. What did you expect that I will fall at your feet" I said with scorn in my tone.

"Sweet... you should not treat me like this. I am not Victor for you to treat me like this. I am your lover and love you with my whole heart" He said walking in circles around me while speaking. I felt the seriousness and authenticity in his tone but needless to say I ignored it.

"Do you think you can intimidate me like this Stranger??" I asked with my chin held high.

"No love all I want for you is to recognise me and love me like you should" He answered with sadness.

His sadness affected me but I overcame it and asked the one question which I would have asked to a normal person "Who are you ?"

"Well I thought you'd never ask my love" He said smiling.

I raised my brow and he said "I am the Demon King Emmanuel".

I shook my head and backed away from him. 

"This cannot be true. This is a nightmare. I want to wake up" I whispered to myself. I didn't expect dark King to be in front of me. I was shivering now, his name evoked fear and I yelled for help. Soon guards open the door looking blankly at the source of threat and not finding any.

"Princess are you fine. Who is it that threatened you" One of the guards spoke.

"Can't you see this man standing in front of your eyes" I yelled pointing at Dark King. When I saw no action from their end. I thought again am I hallucinating.

I found Dark King amused at my expression "Dear love they can not see and sweet you are not hallucinating,it is reality".

 I was shocked at that and shouted the only name that meant protection to me"ALEX..... help me". 

"I am in front of you yet you seek another man". He stared at me intense gaze with his jaws clenched. "I am going for now love. I will come again when you have composed yourself. But soon I will make sure it is me you seek not anyone else".

I kept yelling for Alex and soon everything was black.
