King Emmanuel's POV  

"Well... to have friend times we are no kids and for being grown up I have some work and since both of you got your mates I think you both will be busy. I will deliver your message to the council" She said and disappeared in thin air.

It's been a week  since Denise left and I had healed completely and now I am on my way to her palace. I want to see her again. Now that there is no protection spell separating her and me. I was blissfully happy. I flew to her kingdom and then made my way over to the palace. I walked in shadows all around the palace could not find her anywhere. I could not believe it was possible. I scoured the whole palace I didn't find her anywhere. As I was venturing in the whole kingdom to have her once glance I heard whispers

"Hey I think the protection spell is broken" I laughed at those petty humans who still doubt at it.

"You know what we have not even seen the princess from past 3 days since we are hearing the rumors of protection spell is broken" other said

This got my attention, the princess was not seen since 3 days and none of my soldiers guarding the kingdom perimeter told me. I flew to the border and called the head of the guards.

"My King... After the protection spell was broken... this kingdom was left vulnerable and  five nights before werewolves and dragons attacked and the princess is missing".

"Then why the hell I was not informed" I yelled at him lifting the head soldier via throat.

"Sir... Commandant Vortex knew it and he said he would personally inform you " he replied bowing his head.

I made my way to my palace and barged in the Vortex Room.

"My King" he said keeping his right hand on his heart.

"Vortex... why did you hide it" I yelled at him while gripping his throat.

"Please... don't hurt him" I heard a voice behind me and a hand trying to remove my grip from his throat.

I looked at her and loosened my grip from him. He fell to ground and was coughing now.

"My King I knew you would react like this and you were still recovering so I thought I will keep the news from you".

"Vortex you knew she's my mate and yet you do this to me" I asked him with hate.

"My king I kept the news from you but that doesn't mean I did nothing about black creatures who took the princess away".

"You know who dared it" I asked with fury.

"Yes your highness I made my soldiers fly in every direction and they informed me that she was taken by Vampire Victor".

"Seems like the creature doesn't want to live anymore.. how dare he lay his eye on her" I clenched my jaws and balled my first". 

I was about to fly to Victor when Vortex stopped me. 

"My King we attack tonight" he said

"You are asking me to wait "  I turned and asked raising a brow.

"My King .. he has prepared the mating ceremony and it would gives a good opening to attack and destroy his whole clan without a trace it even existed" he replied.

This was why Vortex was my commandant he knew I don't leave my enemies I just wipe them out.

Alex POV

The next response I got from her was surprise. She smiled at me and then handed me over a knife which was studded with ruby and said "Warrior take this and use it on the dark ones when you feel they are not impacted by your mortal strength, for I know you will encounter one who will be the strongest".

I took the knife from her and walked out of my room and joined Dexter to start our journey.

We have traveled to west and further we went I could feel we were entering the mane of the dark creatures--Dark Evil eyes Mane. I could see the darkness in this area as soon as we crossed our borders to this.

We were going at our own pace when I noticed that further we go all I could see was trees were black in color. I just could not believe that. We moved and suddenly one of the soldier's horse lost control and four of our soldiers fell to the ground and immediately the scene around me changed. I could see the cloud of black creatures hitting the men who fell to ground and vicious creatures started feeding off them.

After they were done they flew back on the green trees which were black because of these vile creatures with red eyes. I then looked at my soldiers and even their skeleton was powdered.

"Soldiers these creatures attack if they sense blood. Be careful while we are in the mane of these deathly creatures" I said and he nodded in assent. 

We were near the area now which appeared normal the vicious creatures were sleeping and I knew that we were about to cross over the security perimeter into King Victor's empire.

As soon as we stepped out of the Dark Evil eyes Mane, I felt we were nearing our palace. The whole scenery changed. It seemed to me that I was back in my country. I could feel my people crying and there were dead bodies around us.

My soldiers stared at the scene ahead of them. As we were still in shock, we saw suddenly the group of dark creatures hitting the old people and stabbing little kids. My soldiers looked at me for orders, but I was too stunned with the scene ahead. But two of my soldiers got down and went to fight them and soon we saw the dark ones feeding off them.

I launched myself on the dark ones but my sword caught no blood. 

"Haa.. haaa... you pathetic human as if you could hurt us" one of the creature laughed mocking us.

I launched once again and still nothing. I was wondering what was happening and then I found my soldiers getting attacked and then it was just me. I was left alone all my soldiers disappeared. I was surrounded by red eyed creatures of different shapes.

I got down and then tried hitting them but to no avail. After fighting for a while these creatures I began to realize that this all was illusion. It was created so that the person who entered would get crazy either fearing for life or get tired and exhausted fighting these imaginary creatures. I totally admired King Victor for this way of protection. But as soon I whispered "This is an illusion" everything was cleared.

The city of Vampires came into my view and I could see the soldiers patrolling the Palace walls. Now the only thing I had to do was get into the palace without them recognizing me. Then I would have to cover my scent. I had to come up with a plan for this.
