After discussing the war strategy there was one question in my mind "If princess Astra is what ancient really wants then what is it that he wanted from my sister Nysa" 

Princess Astra POV

When I woke up my friend Lady fed me with heavy breakfast. I went through the hygiene routine and went to the practice ground. I had made a decision that I will tame my powers so I can use it for  welfare of my people.

I started by concentrating on small stones in the ground and I saw them lifting up from the ground and into the mid-air. I was happy when that happened and then I willed myself to hold them and my next action was them to go near the practicing soldiers and drop near their foot. While I was planning on this one of my maid came running to me.

"Princess the physician wants to run a regular checkup" I turned and little did I knew this slight distraction will jolt the stones into the next course of action. These stones target themselves towards the practicing soldiers but I lost my concentration that I could not control their speed and sure it would have hit them all  had Alex not saved them all with the shield.

All the stones were now hitting the shield and going to ground to just gather more momentum to hit the shield with more speed. I was surprised still Alex managed to fight them off.  Each time they hit the ground their speed was increasing more and more. Alex was beating them with his speed.

"Princess get them settled please" Alex shouted.

This got me out of the stupor. I concentrated and willed the stones to come at be at the place they were originally set. I breathed in and out when I saw that all got themselves settled as they were.

Alex came to me and asked "Princess you should be in your chamber resting".

"Alex I can't sit around in my chamber resting like a old lady.I wanted to practice to tame my powers but I think I should do it in isolation. If I continue doing it near civilization I think I will put them to danger" I said sadly.

"Princess you did well for the first time. You will soon be able to tame it" He said appreciation clear in his eyes.

I looked at Alex he should have been angry for I was targeting the soldiers and I was expecting a lecture from him but he didn't, he supported me. I felt happy that he felt I did well for my first attempt. I smiled looking at him. I knew his this smile was the one with appreciation.

"But princess please don't target my soldiers for your practice. Please let it be a wall or a tree this time" He said smiling.

I smiled at him and continued practicing by lifting stones and controlling their speed and points on the targets. I was making progress. By the time I finished I was exhausted. I looked at my soldiers and they were practicing. I felt bad they were working hard for me. But I was not able to work like them.

"Princess my Soldiers are strong after years of practice so I think it would take some time for you to be like them" I turned to see it was Alex. I felt as if he read my thoughts and answered.

"How did you know I was thinking that?" I questioned.

"Well the way you have been practicing and each time you falter you look at my soldiers and try again with determination. How you have skipped your lunch to just practice. It was not hard to guess the princess of Varavon Kingdom indeed wants to be strong as her soldiers" He replied smiling.

I blushed at his comment but also that he noticed that I am not going to sit around and wait for my soldiers to protect me. I was actually trying to be strong like my soldiers so I can shoulder my soldiers in emergency. The look of appreciation on his face was evident and I was looking for his approval and this was new to me.

I moved to my chambers and had my bath and soon I was fed to with delicious foods. I ate and then I was about to retire to my bed. My trail of thoughts went to part where I was Kidnapped and Alex had saved me. I remembered that the person who kidnapped me was a lady and she was capable of changing appearance. She changed herself to Lady Gloria and then she fed me with some potion so I fell unconscious and didn't know when I was taken. It was Alex who saved me. My thoughts of trail went on from the time I first met Alex to the time now that he appreciates me. 

"You are going crazy thinking about Alex. Go to sleep Astra" Mumbling that to myself I went to sleep.

I woke up in the morning and tried taming my powers and I was making progress day by day. Earlier If someone talked to me I would not be able to control objects but I was able to do anything while talking or walking even. I could see admiration in the eyes of my soldiers. I was practicing hard and whenever Alex would praise me I felt good. I was always looking for his approval. This was bothering me and also it made me happy.

The days were going like this. I had retired to my bed. When in the midnight I heard noise and woke up. I went to my balcony to see what was causing the loud noises. I was so engrossed on looking outside that I didn't hear someone behind me and hitting my head hard with some object. Soon I saw darkness.

Alex POV

Princess Astra was practicing and her powers were rising high and high. Though this was leaving her exhausted each time she tried to evoke the powers and try to tame them. She was still trying to gather and rise her powers since her kidnapping incident. I regretted not guarding her in her chambers but she didn't accuse me of anything, for she thought if her powers are tamed then she could guard not only herself but our whole kingdom. Everything was peaceful since the last 3 days. But I was keeping an eye on our borders and especially at night for any unusual activities. I knew the supernaturals feed on the fear of their prey and they use the element of surprise as their war strategy. I did feel at times that though our protection spell disappeared there was something that was protecting us. I felt more darkness in the border of my kingdom. I know it sounds weird but I had to be going crazy thinking some supernatural will actually protect us.

We all were waiting for princess to raise her powers to the level where in she would be able to cast the protection spell which will make people in Varavon kingdom to feel safe once again. Though I kept the news about protection spell being broken for 3 nights. but the attacks last night confirmed to the people that protection spell was no more and we all are unprotected in the night. Though people heard rumors before but last night confirmed their fear.

For the last night was the darkest and a night which led me into this situation I was in today.

Without the moonlight, dark creatures were hiding to feed on their prey, this darkness gave them cover so they could attack us when we least expected. Everything looked good and peaceful, but I was having an anxiety with the reason unknown. I patrolled around the border and was back in the fort top to keep an eye on whole kingdom. Everything was normal until the midnight when hell broke loose.

Suddenly we saw large giants lizard like multi-colored creatures out of nowhere blazing fires out of their mouth and filling the dark sky with red light and fire. They started attacking our people and I could see from the fort the huts were reduced to ashes. The magnificent houses collapsed under their weight. People were running helter and skelter for their lives. There was chaos all around just in matter of time.I looked at all the giants who were filling the skies with their fury and found there was a one giant with bluish streak flying  who was bigger than others and was just gazing how others were faring. I suspected he must be the leader who brought his army here on us.

I made my way towards the giants flying in the air and shouted at them to fight with me. My soldiers were also on the ground trying to fight these evil creatures. But seems like these creatures were invincible and they dodged all the attacks we did with bows and arrows.With just one spitfire they were burning my soldiers live. They were pouring fire like rains. Suddenly I saw this blue neck giant made his way towards the palace and to the wing where princess Astra was residing.

I could see they were planning to take away the princess. I immediately made my way towards the palace. This giant was flying near her windows and oozing a bluish green fire which turned all the green trees next to the palace into ashes within a minute. I was making my way towards the palace when I saw some men dressed in black rushing towards me. Suddenly while running they had converted themselves into giant wolves. This stopped me in middle, but I overcome the initial surprise and strode towards them. Soon I was in the middle of the herds of the six giant wolves. These wolves kept going in circle around me. I was staring at them to know from which side they will attack me.

I knew I had to do something so I could bypass these wild animals. But seems like they didn't have plan of attacking me soon. I kept my eyes trained on all of them to know a slight movement which would help me know that they are ready to attack me now. Then suddenly my eyes dazzled when I saw that a new sparkling white dragon has appeared on the sky. This dragon was shimmering as if moonlight was it source. Not only was I the one who was spellbound I felt even the wolves who were there also had their eyes on this newcomer.

I watched the white dragon making its way towards the princess Astra's side of palace. Then I saw this white dragon stepping on this bluish green one and transforming into a female figure and jumping to her chambers. I wanted to move but something kept me rooted. I understood it was a planned attack to kidnap princess Astra. But if demon King was behind this then why do I see the werewolves helping him. For demon king hates them, if it's not demon king then who it could be.

Then after sometime again I saw that the white dragon was holding unconscious princess along with another female figure in black. The white dragon female stepped on the bluish one and transformed into the giant white dragon she once was. The women in black pushed princess on this white dragon and together they were flying high in the sky.This was the cue for this weres to attack me. For they started roaring and I too felt as if the heaviness has left me.

Though my reflexes were quick, one of them had taken the liberty of biting into my leg. I was thinking soon all will be pouncing on me so I raised my sword to get the nasty being away from my leg. The gash I made on his nose didn't seem to deter him for he just snarled at me but didn't leave my leg. I lost my balance and fell on the ground. All 6 pair of red eyes were gazing at me with ferocity.

I used my sword to dodge their attacks and I managed to get a were injured by cutting off his forelimbs. Though it made me hope to survive a little longer but it was soon dampened when another one bit into my left arm. I used my right arm to defend myself but another has managed to get my right elbow in his mouth. I groaned in pain and poked the one who captured my left arm with the sword I held in my right hand. This gave me an opportunity to free my left hand while the on who had my right elbow in his mouth was piercing his canines as if it was a piece of cake. The others who had surrounded me were watching the show as if to wait for an opportunity to have a taste of me.

Then suddenly the were who was infront of my eyes fell with a loud roar and I saw my friend Dexter had managed to stab the were in his skull from behind. This led the other three weres attention to be focused on their new target. I used this distraction to kill the one who held my elbow and slashed his throat and pushed my sword down his throat. The animal dropped dead with a great roar.

Meanwhile the one who I poked in eyes used his smell sense to attack me but I had advantage as he could not see so when he jumped over me I plunged it right in his heart leaving his dead weight on me for a while. I quickly retrieved my sword and went to help Dexter who at this time was having tough time fighting these creatures. For One has managed to leave him weaponless I jumped on the back on one of them and downed my sword right into his neck and he dropped to ground in an instant. The two who were focusing on Dexter who was weaponless were now gazing at my direction and soon they divided themselves for one came jumping towards me while other was circling Dexter. Dexter had managed to get a new sword while they were distracted.

The one who was jumping towards me had managed to change his direction of attack and hence got only a gash from my sword and then the one who was playing with Dexter pounced on me while the one I injured came from back. Dexter had somehow seen into their plan of action and he rushed from behind and killed the one running towards me by plunging his sword in this were's side. The animal growled in pain but kept coming towards me. I saw the one I had injured was preparing for the jump I trained my eyes on both and in the last moment I moved myself out of this position and the two weres collided in the air. I used my sword to plunged into the first one's neck, by that time the other one was ready to attack me when Dexter again stabbed him from behind.

I hugged my friend and then rushed over to the princess's wing. When midway we saw that the princess was held by a female and was on a white dragon.

I kept my eyes on the white dragon when suddenly the whole sky was filled with some other black creatures of night. I saw giant bats in the sky and then suddenly they made their way towards the white dragon and had soon managed to injured it. The dragon although was oozing fire but these were in such a large number that the dragon was slowly falling to the ground. I rushed towards that direction, when I saw the women holding princess soon changed into a werewolf. She was in attacking mode but out of blue the creatures lifted the unconscious princess in their claws and disappeared into the sky.

The female turned were was gazing at me with fury but when she saw the large black disarrayed bodies running and killing whatever crossed their path. She made her way away from the palace. I saw these monsters were killing the army of dragons and werewolves. Suddenly I saw a very small kid crying I was about to rush towards him when the monster lift the kid and place him in a safe place and started attacking the weres and dragons. I noticed these demons were not harming us but they kept us humans safe and kept killing our enemies. This was curious but I thought to wait and stay till my fellow mates are safe so I can focus on getting our princess back.

Soon the enemy army was either out of sight or was dead somewhere on the ground and these disarrayed bodies disappeared in thin air. After all the people were safe I felt the irony of the situation though now I was free to fight the enemies there were none and princess was also taken. And I had no idea where she might have been taken. Moreover I was not sure who had taken her this time...
