The next day, the bionic brothers were in the lab. The eldest was sniffing his shoe.
- "Ugh! Smells like something died in here." He frowned, before looking inside his shoe. "Whoa! Something did die in here!" He chuckled and put the show in front of his brother. "Chase, look at this!"
- "No." Chase replied.
- "Well, at least tell me if this is fur or mold." Adam said.
- "No!" The genius boy yelled.
He is disgusting. He gagged.
The tall guy tried to put his shoe on, but ripped a hole in it with his foot.
- "Adam, what did you do to your shoe?" The youngest asked.
- "I guess I don't know my own strength. The same thing happened yesterday with my underwear." Adam explained.
How...? I don't want to know. The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Ooh, that reminds me, I got you a new headband for gym class." The eldest tried to put the elastic waistband around the youngest's head, but he pulled it off, in disgust.
- "Man, Dad warned us about this. As we get older, our chips have to be re-calibrated to adjust for our growth." Chase explained.
- "Oh, well, then yours will never have to be adjusted." The tall guy mocked. "'Cause your body doesn't grow, get it?" He chuckled.
I get it. The genius boy thought.
- "I'm saying you're small." The eldest continued.
- "I get it!" The youngest yelled. "When Dad gets back, he can re-calibrate your super strength. Toss me my backpack." Adam threw hi brother's backpack, and it went through the lab doors. "Or we could do it now. Quick, get in your capsule."
- "Ah, but I like being ridiculously strong. I'm like King Kong without the little lady in his hand." The tall guy explained, before extending his hand to his brother. "Go ahead, Chase, jump in."
The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head, annoyed.
- "Go!" He pointed to his brother's capsule.
- "Fine." Adam got in his capsule.
Chase walked over to the cyber desk.
- "All right, let's see, Adam's size parameters. Six-one, hundred and seventy-five pounds." He tapped on the desk.
- "Make it a hundred and eighty. Had a big breakfast." The tall guy tapped on his belly.
- "Since your strength has intensified, I'm gonna dial it back from an 8 to a 6." The genius boy explained.
- "Hold on, you can adjust my strength?" The eldest asked his brother, who nodded. "Well, don't dial me down, make me a 10!"
- "No way. That would be like giving a stick of dynamite to a... Well, you." The green hazel-eyed boy pressed a button and a light flashed a couple of times in the capsule. "There. Done. Now, hurry! We're gonna be late for school! Mads is already waiting for us upstairs!" He grabbed his backpack and ran out.
- "Uh, yeah, I'll be right there! I just have to... not do something for a minute." Adam lied. He pressed a few buttons on the cyber desk and got back in his capsule, and the light flashed again. He stepped out of his capsule, throwing the door in the process, causing it to shatter. "I can't wait to see if it worked!" He exclaimed and walked away.

Later, at lunch, the geniuses were eating in the cafeteria with the tall guy.
- "Man, I always get stuck with the wobbly chair." Chase complained.
- "Here, let me fix it. Hold my tray." Adam handed his tray to his brother.
He, accidentally, ripped off the back of the chair with his super strength.
- "Oh my god." Maddie closed her eyes.
- "Adam!" The genius boy yelled, through his teeth. "Budget cuts, am I right? The evidence is all around us, people." He chuckled, awkwardly. "You maxed out your super strength, didn't you?" He asked his brother.
- "Of course I did, look who you're talking to." The eldest chuckled.
- "He's right." The alien girl replied.
- "This is so dangerous. You can't control your strength, and it could cause a ton of glitches. We have to change you back, now!" The green hazel-eyed ordered.
- "Calm down, you're overreacting." Adam set his tray on the table, and the whole table collapsed. Everyone jumped, in fear. "Okay, you can dial me down to a 9." He whispered to his brother.
- "Pff, Perry probably used all the money for herself, again." The Matthews girl shook her head.
- "Yeah, definitely." Chase chuckled.
- "Come on." Maddie grabbed the brothers' hands and dragged them out of the cafeteria.
I love whenever she holds my hand. The genius boy smiled as looked down at their interlaced fingers.
- "I'll cover for you, two, while you fix him." The alien girl let go of their hands and pointed to the green hazel-eyed boy.
- "Got it." Chase nodded. "Let's go."
The brothers walked away, right before Perry walked out of her office. The Matthews girl walked to her two other best friends.
- "Morning, oxygen hogs! Time for another surprise locker inspection! Why, you ask? The superintendent says that if I'm gonna accuse you little criminals of doing stuff, I need 'evidence'." The principal mocked. "Lindsey, you're up." She pushed her student out of her way and started going through her locker. "Stuffed animal? What is this, your prom date?" She threw the stuffed animal across the room. "Makeup? You've already lost that battle, sweetheart." She mocked, before throwing the makeup bag across the room.
- "She is such a bitch." The blue-eyed scoffed.
- "You know what? I am so tired of Principal Perry and her power trips. How does she keep getting away with this stuff?" Bree asked.
- "Just accept it. It's a lot easier once you let go of the hope." Leo replied.
- "How can YOU let her get away with this?" The bionic girl pointed at her best friend.
- "She never hurt any of you physically, so..." Maddie shrugged.
- "Ooh, pretzel logs! Jackpot!" Perry exclaimed. "You're next, glow stick." She pointed the pretzel log at the Davenport girl.
The principal ran towards Bree, who stood in front of her locker.
- "I don't think so." She said.
The bionic girl attempted to block Perry from getting into her locker, but failed.
- "Stiff arm." The principal laughed. "Legal play."
- "Okay, Principal Perry, this is not fair. You walk around here like a dictator and treat the student body like prisoners." The Davenport girl explained.
The blue-eyed girl's eyes widened.
- "Aww, you noticed. It's so good to be appreciated." Perry chuckled.
- "No. This is no way to run a school. And I think that I speak for everyone when I say we're not gonna take it anymore!" Bree exclaimed.
The students grumbled and turned away.
- "And by 'we' she means her. You and me, rock solid." Leo pointed at his principal.
- "By 'we' she means we." The alien girl wrapped her arm around her best friend's shoulders.
The bionic girl smiled, gratefully.
- "Are you, two, challenging my authority?" Perry asked.
- "Yes." The blue-eyed girl answered.
- "She's sweating through her pantsuit. Retreat, retreat!" The Dooley boy yelled, behind the girls.
- "Listen, Lipstick and Glasses, I didn't command a ship in the merchant marines to take guff from you." The principal replied.
- "You know, I just think the school might be a bit more enjoyable if we were treated like adults and had more freedom." The Davenport girl explained.
- "And, if we weren't treated like criminals and obligated to obey your every little desires if we don't want detention." The Matthews girl added.
- "Right, and then we could all ride unicorns to school and eat food that passes a health inspection." Perry sassed.
- "But it doesn't have to be like this." Bree replied.
- "School is already hard for most students; they don't need the pressure that you put on them." Maddie continued.
- "Oh, yes, it does. I learned one thing from my mother: to rule with an iron fist." The principal explained. "Oh, and that salad takes up space where meat should be."
- "She sounds like a lovely woman." Leo smiled.
She's not. The blue-eyed girl shook her head.
- "She isn't!" Perry yelled. "You, kids, think my job is so easy, don't ya?"
- "Well, I mean, how hard can it be? You do it." The bionic girl chuckled, making her best friend snickered as the students looked at her, in shock.
- "You think you can do better? All right! Have at it. School's yours. You go ahead and be principal for a day." The principal replied.
- "What?" The Davenport girl frowned.
- "Yeah. Go ahead and be the nice principal. These maggots will eat you alive in two hours." Perry chuckled.
- "Hmm." Bree nodded. "They won't because my favorite security guard will be there." She wrapped her arms around her best friend's shoulders.
- " Exactly." Maddie smiled.
- "You coulda used your last breath to scream for help, but you shoulda used it to say 'I'm sorry'." The principal said in the bionic girl's face, who leaned back, in disgust.
- "All right. You're on. But if I'm gonna be principal for the day, I'll need the keys to your office." The bionic girl extended her hand.
- "All right. But remember, no matter how loud the banging gets in the file cabinet, don't open it." Perry gave her the keys and walked away.
- "She's right." The alien girl nodded.
- "What do you say, vice president?" The Davenport girl turned to her brother.
- "I like the sound of that." The short boy smiled. "Alright, I'm in!" He exclaimed.
- "Yes!" The Matthews girl exclaimed.
The trio high-fived.
- "Let's show Perry how it's done." Bree smirked.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the lab, Adam was fixing his capsule's door.
- "I can't believe you maxed out your strength after I specifically told you not to." Chase shook his head.
- "In my defense, you telling me what to do is like a monkey telling a hedgehog what to do. It's ridiculous." The tall guy replied. "But it would make an awesome buddy cop movie." He chuckled.
- "Can we just please get this over with? I gotta get back to school. It's karaoke day in my Latin class, and I'm singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." The genius boy explained. "Scintillat scintillat paulo stella..." He laughed.
- "You do know you're never gonna have a girlfriend, right?" The eldest asked.
I will have a girlfriend, one day. The green hazel-eyed boy thought.
- "Yeah? And yours is gonna have to cut your food, so we're even." He replied.
- "I am so happy that Maddie is normal. We don't need two crazy geniuses." Adam sighed.
- "Just, get in your capsule." Chase said. His brother got in his capsule. The genius boy pressed a few buttons on the cyber desk. "All right, reducing super strength in 3, 2, 1..." A bright light flashed a couple of times in the capsule. "All right, we should probably test it out to make sure that you're back to normal. Come here." They walked over to a metal container. "This is made out of ultra-strength titanium. Think you can break it?"
- "Sure, stand still while I smash it over your head." The eldest replied.
Why is he always trying to hurt me? The youngest brother frowned.
- "No, with your hand." He said.
- "Not as fun, but okay." Adam hit the container twice, but it doesn't break. "Ugh! I'm back to normal. Now, I'm only a hundred times stronger than you." He sighed. "I guess I'm gonna have to hit you more often to make up for it."
- "You really don't have to." Chase shook his head.
- "Oh, that's sweet, but I really do." The tall guy put his hand on his brother's shoulder.
- "No, you don't." The genius boy started to walk away.
- "Yes, I do." The eldest followed him.
- "No, you don't." The youngest replied.
- "Come here." Adam answered.
- "Stop. Get away. Don't touch me!" Chase yelled. "Don't... Get away, get away. No, no!"
The tall guy tackled him to the floor, causing him to scream.
I hope Mads doesn't find out. The genius boy thought.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, the trio walked out of Perry's office to find all of the students hanging out and having fun, in the main hallway.
- "Whoa! It's only been a few hours, but look how much happier everyone is under Principal Bree." Leo said.
- "Well, that is just how I roll, Vice Principal Leo." Bree giggled.
- "Go, Principal Bree." Maddie applauded.
The bionic girl smiled and high-fived a random girl.
- "I mean, isn't it amazing how much happier and more productive students are when they're given a little bit of freedom?" She smiled.
- "Let Breedom ring!" The short boy raised his fist in the air.
- "That was painful." The alien girl frowned.
- "Shut it." The Dooley boy scoffed. "Oh, uh, by the way, I have some paperwork for you to sign." He told his sister.
- "Sure. What is it?" The Davenport girl asked.
Leo handed her the clipboard.
- "You know, just an approval form, forcing all girls to be my friend." He explained.
- "You should sign it." The Matthews girl replied. "He needs it."
Bree nodded and signed the form when Perry walked in, looking disgruntled.
- "What is going on here? Stop talking on the phone! Spit out that gum!" She ordered to a girl, who spit her gum into the principal's hand.
- "Uh-uh, don't you listen to her! Put that gum back in your mouth." The bionic girl replied.
The girl took her gum back from Perry's hand and walked away.
- "Hey...!" Perry started.
- "This is my school now. See how smoothly things are running and how happy everyone is?" The Davenport girl answered.
- "You are losing your bet." Maddie smirked.
- "I know, it's disgusting!" The principal exclaimed. "All these smiling faces. I haven't seen this many teeth since I kept dental records at the morgue."
- "Sorry, Principal Perry, but I guess it is easy doing your job." Bree shrugged.
- "Yeah!" The short boy replied.
- "Watch it, Dooley!" Perry yelled.
- "Ah-ah-ah-ah! Correction: Vice Principal Dooley." The Dooley said. "And if I'm not mistaken, you're not allowed to be here unless you're a student or faculty. So, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave... Terry."
- "Oooh!" The alien girl exclaimed.
- "This isn't over!" The principal yelled.
- "I will escort you out as the head of security. Let's go, Terry." The Matthews girl grabbed her arm and started to drag Perry away.
Her phone rang. The principal answered with her free arm.
- "What, Mom? I'm at work!" She yelled.
She said that to her scary mother? Maddie smiled.
- "Sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice. Yes, I've been a bad girl." Perry whispered.
The alien girl continued to drag away the principal as the siblings laughed and high-fived.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the bionic brothers walked in the hallway.
- "Hey, Chase, when you zapped me, I think you took a little bit of weight off." Adam said.
- "Adam, that's impossible. It doesn't work like that." Chase walked over to the water fountain. "The re-calibration adjusts the ratio of your muscle mass to your body frame and... Who am I kidding? You stopped listening five seconds ago, right?" He shook his head. "Adam? Adam?" He turned around and did not see his brother.
- "I'm down here!" A high-pitched voice yelled.
The genius boy looked down and saw a pile of Adam's clothes on the floor, with a tiny version of his brother standing in a shoe.
What the heck? His eyes widened.
- "Told you I was losing weight." He replied.
The youngest brother lied on the floor to talk to his naked brother in a shoe.
He's naked. Great. He, sarcastically, thought.
- "Chase, what's going on?" Adam asked.
- "I... I, I guess I was in such a rush to re-calibrate your chip, I accidentally forgot to enter the size parameters, which caused a glitch and..." Chase started.
- "I'm two inches and naked! Do something!" The tiny guy yelled.
The genius boy threw his head back, in despair. He took the pile of clothes and his brother in a shoe as he walked towards his locker to hide the clothes.
- "Stay here. I'll be right back." He said.
- "Where am I supposed to go? I'm naked! Think, Chase! Think!" The eldest brother yelled.
The youngest rolled his eyes and closed his locker a little, leaving it slightly open so that Adam would not be in the dark.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, Adam was standing in his brother's locker, wearing a purple ninja outfit.
- "Really, Chase? A purple ninja outfit? You know purple's not my color!" He exclaimed.
- "It was from the lost and found. There were only two action figures, this and power girl. And you do not have the legs to work that skirt." Chase scoffed.
- "Ha. Just hurry up and fix this! I can't stand being smaller than you." The tiny guy replied.
- "You know, I've been smaller than you for my entire life. Now, you know what it's like. Do you remember all the names you called me?" The genius boy asked, his voice full of hurt.
- "Not all of 'em, but I remember there was Tinypants McGoo, Microman, Tiny Boy, Ant Boy, Eency Meency Little Woman..." The eldest brother laughed.
The youngest took a smaller container from his locker and placed it over his brother.
He doesn't even realize how much I'm insecure because of him and his insults. He sighed. Mads understands me, though. Because she read my mind but still.
- "Hey! Whoa, hey! Why is it dark? What's going on? Let me out!" Adam yelled.
Now, this is funny. Chase chuckled and removed the container.
- "Hey, what'd you do that for?" The tiny guy asked.
- "I wanted you to see what it's like to be picked on by someone larger than you. But, since I'm a nice guy, now I'll take you home to fix you." The genius boy explained.
- "Thank you, Chase. That's really big of you. And I don't get to say that very often." The eldest chuckled.
- "You just can't stop yourself, can you?" The youngest questioned, irritated.
- "I'll try. Um, you're huge...ly small. Nope, can't do it." Adam smiled.
- "You know what? Forget home. We're gonna have a little fun." Chase smiled widely.
And I'm gonna call Mads to join me. He thought.
- "No, no, no, no. No! No!" The tiny guy tried to escape his brother.
The genius boy picked his eldest brother up.
- "You know that new tarantula in the science lab?" He asked.
- "Oh, yeah, Harvey! He's great." Adam replied.
- "Well, let's see how great he is when he gets a surprise visit from a tiny, purple ninja." The youngest smirked.
- "No!" The tiny guy yelled.
Chase put his brother in his pocket and walked away, happily. He took out his phone and texted his best friend.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, the two other siblings were in the hallway.
- "Hey, where is everyone? Why is no one in class?" Bree asked.
- "That's why I was coming." Maddie ran in. "Someone let go of a snake in a classroom. I grabbed it and waited for animal control. I'm pretty sure it's Perry's doing to distract me, while she planned something." She explained.
- "You grabbed the snake?" Leo's eyes widened.
- "Yeah. I wasn't going to let him roam free or get hurt." The alien girl shrugged.
- "But you grabbed it? With your bare hands?" The short boy questioned.
- "Well, duh." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "You're crazy." The Dooley boy replied. "She's crazy." He turned to his sister as he pointed at their best friend.
Suddenly, the trio heard distant music and walked into the cafeteria, where students were laughing and hanging out.
- "Told you." Maddie said.
The bionic girl turned off the music.
- "Principal Perry?" She yelled.
- "Who wants to know? The name's Terry. On the street, they call me TP. 'Cause I clean up." The principal explained as she gestured to her 'young' style.
- "Um, what are you doing?" The Davenport girl asked.
- "Where did you get a snake?" The alien girl questioned.
- "Never mind that, what are you wearing?" Leo frowned.
- "Well, the more I thought about it, it seemed only fair that if you get to be principal for a day, then I get to be a student for a day." Perry chuckled. "Since you're such a big fan of freedom, I thought I'd show you what it really looks like. Bertha, Ruthie, saddle up!"
The two lunch ladies sat on wheelie chairs with bread loafs and two students pushed them while the rest of the students cheered. One lunch lady broke the other one's loaf and crashed into the wall.
- "Oooh, that had to hurt." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Oh! She just got loafed!" The principal laughed. "If she gets hurt while you're principal, you're responsible. You know what they do to principals in prison?"
I do. Maddie frowned.
- "Well, you can't threaten me. Vice Principal Leo?" Bree turned to her brother.
- "My pleasure." The short boy smiled and turned to Perry. "You just got detention, squat mug!" He shouted in her face.
That must've felt good. The alien girl snickered.
- "Do you really wanna go there, knowing that I'm back to running this place tomorrow?" The principal questioned.
- "And I quit." The Dooley boy handed the clipboard to his sister. "You're on your own, girls." He ran away.
- "What?" The bionic girl frowned.
- "Coward!" The Matthews girl yelled.
- "Yes!" Leo replied, from outside.
- "So, you ready to give up?" Perry questioned.
- "Not a chance. Because freedom is always..." The Davenport girl received mashed potatoes at her face.
- "Oh!" The principal laughed. "Sorry, I couldn't hear you with all that freedom on your face. Somebody get this girl some gravy!"
Maddie turned to the student, Steve, who threw it. She glared at him. The boy, quickly, grabbed paper towels and handed them to Bree.
- "I am so sorry, Principal Bree. I won't do it, again." Steve said. The alien girl raised her eyebrows. "And I will get myself to detention." He nodded and walked away.
The Matthews girl smiled at Perry, who walked across the room, annoyed.
- "I've met the right choice by choosing you." The bionic girl chuckled.
Maddie smirked, when her phone beeped.
- "It's Chase." She said.
- "Oh." The Davenport girl smirked.
- "Shut it, B." The alien girl replied. "He said that something happen with Adam and that I would like it." She frowned.
- "I don't think I even wanna know." Bree shook her head.
- "Yeah." The Matthews girl texted the genius boy back and put her phone back in her back pocket.
- "You're not going?" The bionic girl asked.
- "Of course not. We got work to do." Maddie explained. "Starting by destroying Perry."
- "I like your spirit." The Davenport girl smirked. "Tell me, since you read Perry's mind, how is her mother?"
- "That's what I was thinking." The alien girl chuckled. "She is worse than you think."
- "Amazing." Bree clapped her hands, together, before taking out her phone. "Do you have her number?"
- "I do." The Matthews girl snickered and starting telling the number to her best friend.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, Chase's phone beeped.
'With B, ready to destroy Perry. Can't come.' He sighed as he read. 'But I wanna hear all about it, tonight.' He chuckled.
- "All right, Adam, time for a water fountain jerk bath." The genius boy reached in his pocket. "Adam? Adam? Oh, no! Adam? Adam?" He started fumbling around and shaking his legs trying to find Adam, while two girls pass by and stared at him. He laughed, awkwardly. "New internet dance craze. Look it up!" He yelled, when he saw the Dooley boy behind them. "Leo!"
- "'Sup?" Leo replied.
- "I need your help. I, accidentally, shrunk Adam, and he is gone!" The youngest brother explained.
- "I got your back. You were with me. We were kayaking. No questions asked." The short boy said.
Adam is a jerk but at least, I have Leo to have my back. Chase smiled.
- "No! He was in my pocket, but he fell out. I lost him!" He explained.
- "They'll never buy it. Stick to the kayak." The Dooley boy replied.
- "I don't know where he is. He could be anywhere!" The genius boy exclaimed.
The two younger brothers started to look around for their older brother.
- "Chase! Leo!" Adam was standing on the circular bench, waving frantically to his brothers. "I'm over here! Over here!" A girl went to sit down on the mini guy. "Aah! Incoming butt!" He rolled out of the way. "Ha! No one can defeat the butt-ninja!" A boy went to sit down. "Hey, I have those jeans. No, don't sit down, don't sit down!" He fell off the bench and into the girl's bag.
- "Chase, I think I just saw a little, purple ninja dive into that book bag." Leo said. "And there's something I'll never say again."
- "Go, go!" The youngest brother ran with the short boy towards the bag.
The younger brothers ran over to the girl, but she got up. She walked away right as they reached her. She walked into the cafeteria and Chase grabbed her bag from her and started, frantically, searching it.
- "Sorry, ma'am. Random bag search." The Dooley explained. "There's been a rash of crouton theft as the salad bar. We're not saying it's you, but we're all thinkin' it."
- "A-ha!" The genius boy exclaimed as he wrapped his hands around his minuscule brother. "I got him!"
- "You got him?" Leo replied.
The youngest brother started to run but, accidentally, bumped into T.P.
- "Dude! You almost spilled my third lunch." She complained.
What the...? Chase frowned.
- "Right. Sorry." He apologized.
The younger brothers walked away. The genius boy opened his hands to find that Adam was not there anymore. The short boy pointed at Adam sitting on Perry's burger.
- "Oh, wow, gigantic food. It's so beautiful!" The tiny guy exclaimed. "Ooh, pickles."
The principal put the bun on her burger, trapping him.
- "Adam, get out of there!" Chase yelled.
Perry went to take a bite while Adam screamed. The genius boy ran over and tried to wrestle the burger out of her hands.
- "Braver men than you have tried to take my food before. They ain't men now." The principal explained.
The youngest brother grabbed the burger.
- "I won't let you eat my brother!" He exclaimed.
- "You, vegetarians, make me sick." Perry scoffed, in disgust. "It's a turkey, not your brother! Now give me back that bird, hippie!" She tried to get the burger back.
- "No! No!" Chase started to fight back.
- "Yes, yes!" The principal yelled.
- "Ge... Let go of the bun!" The genius boy exclaimed, before Perry locked his arm in his back.
- "Drop the burger, Terry!" Bree yelled as she walked in.
- "How about I drop you, girlie?" The principal replied.
Maddie walked towards them and pulled Perry away from the Davenport boy by the collar.
Thank you, Mads. Chase held his shoulder. She's always there when I need her.
- "Let me go!" The principal tried to wiggle out of the alien girl's grip.
- "Hmm, we had a feeling you might say that. Which is why we brought in the big guns." The bionic girl explained, smirking.
The Matthews girl smirked as well and let go of her principal.
What did they do? The genius boy frowned, amused.
- "What did you do?" He whispered to his best friend.
- "You'll see." Maddie smiled widely, before turning her head towards the doors.
Gosh, she's so pretty. The youngest Davenport smiled.
- "Theresa!" A woman yelled as she walked in.
- "Mother?" Perry asked, in fear.
- "No way." Chase chuckled, silently. "You did not."
- "Oh, we did." The alien girl smirked.
- "What are you doing here?" The principal questioned.
- "This lovely young lady called me and said you were causing trouble." The mother pointed at Bree as she explained. "And you put a snake to cause trouble to his sweet lady." She pointed at Maddie.
Snake? The genius boy turned to his best friend, in worry.
The alien girl winked.
The Davenport boy turned his face away as his cheeks reddened. She's fine. He chuckled. I meant like she's good, not like physically fine, even if she is... No! Chase, stop!
- "What did I tell you about wrestling for food?" The older woman asked.
- "That if you're gonna do it, you better win?" Perry replied.
- "Don't you sass your momma!" The mother walked to her daughter.
- "Sorry, mother." The principal said.
The older woman grabbed the burger from her daughter and set it on the table. Chase tried to grab it, but she smacked his hand, away.
- "Hands off, troll!" She yelled.
Like mother, like daughter. The genius boy thought.
The Matthews girl snickered.
The Davenport boy glared at his best friend, who smiled. I love her smile, even when she's laughing at me. He rolled his eyes, amused. I must be insane.
- "I apologize for her causing so much trouble." The mother said to the two girls.
- "She's not really the principal, and she's not really a security guard!" Perry exclaimed.
- "And you're not really a child, so stop acting like one!" The older woman yelled, before her daughter stomped her feet, frustrated.
The brothers walked away, leaving the Perrys with the two girls.
They are good. Chase thought. Creepy but good.
- "Theresa, what do you say to Principal Bree and Miss Maddison?" The mother asked.
The principal groaned.
This is amazing. The genius boy chuckled.
- "Sorry." Perry whispered.
- "Big girl voice!" The older woman yelled.
- "Sorry!" The principal shouted.
The two girls smiled.
- "They are enjoying this so much." The youngest brother whispered to Leo.
- "So, am I." The short boy chuckled.
- "I'm going to take her home and give her a good talking to." The mother explained.
- "Mm, I think that's a great idea." Bree nodded.
- "Thank you, ma'am. We appreciate." Maddie smiled.
- "Take them as examples." The older woman said to her daughter, before grabbing her ear and the burger.
- "No, momma, no, no, no, momma! No, no." The principal said her mother dragged her away by the ear. The mother threw the burger in the trash. "Hey, hey, hey!"
The two girls did a handshake as they smirked.
- "Aaah!" The younger brother screamed and ran over the trash can.
A lunch lady poured the leftover food into it just as they arrived.
- "Thanks a lot, Ruthie." Chase sassed.
The two brothers picked up the trash can.
- "I lost my retainer." They, simultaneously, said.
- "What?" The alien girl frowned.
The two brothers, awkwardly, laughed and carried the trash can out of the room.
- "They don't... I don't wanna know." The bionic girl turned around and walked away.
- "Nope." The Matthews girl followed her.

Later, in the lab, the two younger brothers were digging through the trash, trying to find the eldest.
- "Got him!" Leo exclaimed. "Oh, wait, no, that's a celery stick." They dug some more. "Ah, got him!" He exclaimed. "Wait, no, that's a chicken bone."
Look before taking. Chase thought.
- "Ooh, I found him!" He yelled, before running over and placing the older brother inside his capsule. "He was curled up inside a burrito." He shrugged.
- "Here." The short boy handed a paper towel to his brother.
- "Thanks." The genius boy said. The two brothers wiped their hands off by paper towels. "Uh, Adam size parameters, six-one, hundred and seventy-five-pounds. Strength level, six. Clothing... Yes, please." He nodded.
A light flashed in Adam's capsule as the tall guy returned to his normal size.
- "Whoa!" He got out of his capsule. "Chase, I just had the most awesome dream! I was a tiny ninja in a land of butt giants."
- "No, Adam, that wasn't a dream. I made a mistake and shrunk you." The youngest brother explained.
- "That's right! And I had nothing to do with it. For once, Leo's part of the solution to a problem he didn't create! Yes!" The Dooley boy exclaimed and walked out, happily.
Yeah, for once. Chase thought.
- "Wow, I think I finally understand what it feels like to be smaller brother." The eldest said.
- "Finally! So does this mean that you're not gonna make short jokes at my expense anymore?" The genius boy asked.
- "I'm sorry, can you speak up? I can't hear you down there." Adam replied.
The youngest rolled his eyes.
- "You just cannot help yourself, can you?" He questioned.
- "Oh, I'm just kidding. Look, I don't think you're that small. And for turning me back to normal, I got you a gift. Okay, close your eyes." The tall guy said. Chase closed his eyes. The eldest was holding a tiny ninja costume. "Open 'em." He smiled, before his brother opened his eyes. "It's a tiny ninja costume!" He exclaimed.
Seriously? The genius boy glared at him.
- "Oh, don't worry about the size. You'll grow into it." Adam put the costume on his brother's shoulder and walked away.
The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head. I'm so sick of him. He walked out of the room.

Later, after the sun had set, Chase went to the roof and laid down to look at the stars as he thought about all of his brother's insults.
Adam's right, I am short. He sighed. He turned his head when he saw his best friend landing next to him.
- "Hey." He looked at the sky, again.
- "Hey." Maddie laid down, next to her.
Since she read my mind when we met, she must think I'm pathetic. The bionic boy thought. And she would be right. I am pathetic.
- "Are you okay?" The alien girl turned to her side to look at him.
- "Yeah." The Davenport boy smiled.
- "Liar." The Matthews girl scoffed. "What's going on with you?"
- "It's nothing." The green hazel-eyed boy said, without looking at his best friend.
He knew that if he looked at her, he would crack and tell her.
- "I can't force you to tell me." The blue-eyed girl sighed as she still continued to detail his face.
Stop looking at me. Chase gulped.
- "I... I'm fine." He sighed.
- "You don't have to tell me, but don't lie." Maddie sighed and laid on her back.
Her eyes are amazing under the moonlight. The bionic boy looked at her side profile.
- "So, what did you do to Adam?" The alien girl asked.
- "What?" The Davenport boy frowned.
- "You sent me a text saying that something happened to Adam and that I would like it." The Matthews girl replied.
- "Right. I, accidentally, shrunk him." The green hazel-eyed boy explained.
- "You, what?" The blue-eyed girl turned to her side and looked at him, amused.
- "I shrunk him and then, he made fun of my height again." Chase replied.
He what? Maddie locked her jaw. I'm gonna hurt Adam.
- "So, I kinda put him in the new tarantula's terrarium." The bionic boy replied.
- "Ew. This is gross but hilarious." The alien girl chuckled. "You, really, are a genius."
- "Thanks." The Davenport boy snickered as he, slightly, blushed. "But then, I lost him, and he was inside Perry's burger."
- "That's why you went through the trash." The Matthews girl said.
- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "I washed my hands so many times."
- "Yeah, I bet." The blue-eyed girl replied.
Chase still looked at the sky, thoughtfully. She thinks I'm genius, but she must think that I'm short, too.
- "Are you thinking about Adam's insults?" Maddie asked.
How did she...? The bionic boy looked at her, in shock.
- "Don't look at me like that." The alien girl snickered. "I know you, Chase."
- "Yeah, I guess you do." The Davenport boy smiled.
- "So..." The Matthews girl raised her eyebrows.
Right, I didn't answer. The green hazel-eyed boy thought. I can't lie to her.
- "Yeah, that's what I was thinking." He sighed.
- "What did he say?" The blue-eyed girl asked as she tried to cover the anger in her voice.
- "The usual. He insulted my height." Chase shrugged.
- "There is nothing wrong with your height!" Maddie replied. "You're fourteen. You're still growing. I mean, just this year you took like, what, 3 inches?"
- "Yeah, I did." The bionic boy smiled.
- "Exactly. I mean, you're taller than me, now." The alien girl chuckled.
- "I used to be shorter." The Davenport boy said.
- "Yeah, past tense. Now, you are taller and you're still growing." The Matthews girl replied.
- "Maybe I'll stop." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "Or maybe you'll grow more, because you are only fourteen!" The blue-eyed girl exclaimed. "Chase, you have time. And Adam doesn't understand that because it's Adam, and he doesn't have a brain." She explained.
- "That last sentence came from the bottom of your heart." Chase chuckled.
- "No, the bottom of my heart, for Adam, is filled of insults that you don't want to hear and that would hurt his feelings. A lot." Maddie explained.
- "Right." The bionic boy snickered. The alien girl frowned. "Oh, you're serious."
- "Yes." The Matthews girl nodded. "The only reason I don't insult Adam is that you don't want me to, because you don't him or anyone to know how his insults make you feel. Otherwise, I would've hurt his feelings since January."
The Davenport boy raised his eyebrows.
- "Really?" He asked.
- "Yes!" The blue-eyed girl sat. "Chase, you're my best friend and one of my favorite people in the universe. You really think that if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have already ripped off Adam's head already?" She looked at his eyes.
The green hazel-eyed boy looked at her, happily. She's amazing. He sat, as well.
- "Chase, you need to stop looking at me like that, every time I say that I would defend you." Maddie snickered. "I know that nobody ever takes your side, but I'm here and now that you know about my powers, I intend to stand by your side a lot more."
Chase smiled and pulled her into a hug. He knew deep down that Maddie would defend him but hearing saying these words warmed his heart. He felt like he was going to explode with happiness. I love her. She's the most incredible best friend. He smiled.
- "Thank you, Mads." The bionic boy whispered.
- "You're welcome." The alien girl wrapped her arms around him and hugged him, tightly.
The Davenport boy closed his eyes as his best friend lifted a weight on his shoulders, without even realizing how much her words had affected him.
The Matthews girl closed her eyes, simply, enjoying the feelings of being in his arms.

Later, before dinner, Chase walked to the living room and heard a loud bang.
- "What the...?" He frowned and walked towards the sound. He saw his eldest brother, on the floor, groaning in pain. He looked across the room and saw their best friend. "Mads..."
- "Yes?" Maddie smiled, coyly.
- "Did you just throw him across the room?" The genius boy asked.
- "I would never. Right, Adam?" The alien girl turned to the tall guy, who was getting up.
- "Right." Adam nodded. "I slipped and fell. She didn't do anything." He, nervously, chuckled.
- "And you expect me to believe it?" The green hazel-eyed boy crossed his arms.
- "Well, it's the truth." The eldest replied.
- "Believe it or not, I don't care." The Matthews girl smiled and walked to the kitchen.
- "Did she throw you?" Chase whispered to his brother.
- "I don't know what you're talking about." Adam shrugged and walked away. "Ow." He held his right ass cheeks.
- "Did you kick his butt, too?" The genius boy turned to his best friend.
- "No." Maddie smiled.
- "You're terrible." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head, amused.
She took my side, like she said she would. He smiled.
The alien girl shrugged, smiling.

The next day, Leo and Bree were in the school hallway with their best friend.
- "Ugh, I am so happy to just be a student again." The bionic girl said.
- "And I'm so happy you've, both, forgiven me for quitting as vice principal." The short boy smiled.
- "We didn't." The two girls, simultaneously, replied.
- "So we're good?" The Dooley boy asked.
The two girls smiled.
- "Well, if it isn't the formal administration." Perry walked out of her office.
- "Well, if it isn't the failed administration." The Davenport girl smiled.
- "That was my dis! You only changed one word!" The principal complained. "Now that I'm back in charge, I'm gonna make your lives miserable."
Oh, I don't think so. The alien girl smirked.
- "I think you mean their lives, because I resigned my position. You and me, rock solid." Leo smiled.
- "Not a chance. You, three, are gonna spend the rest of the day cleaning up the cafeteria." Perry replied.
The janitor handed mops to the trio.
- "Oh, I don't think so." Bree laughed. "I may not be principal anymore, but, uh, I do still have one thing: your mother's phone number." She called the older woman on video call.
- "Theresa!" The mother shouted.
- "Oh, no! No, mommy, no!" The principal yelled as the bionic girl chased her out with the phone. "I've been a good girl! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!"
- "Theresa! Theresa!" The older woman yelled through the phone.
- "God, I love Bree." The Matthews girl smiled.
The childhood best friends laughed and followed them.
