twenty-one.
Thursday, 18th December 2014
Almost a week after Bree's birthday, at school, the latter walked up to her biological brother and her best friend.
- "Guys, you will never believe what just happened. Jake Chambers asked me to the winter dance!" She squealed.
- "That's awesome, B!" Maddie smiled.
- "Jake Chambers!" Chase exclaimed. His sister nodded. "The Jake Chambers?"
- "Yes!" The bionic girl replied.
- "Who's Jake Chambers?" The genius boy asked.
The alien girl snickered.
- "The only guy who's even talked to me since people found out we were bionic. Apparently, no one wants to date a girl who they think was unveiled at this year's auto show." The Davenport girl explained.
- "Yeah, I hear you. No one wants to date me, either." The green hazel-eyed boy said.
I want to date you. The Matthews girl thought.
The older siblings laughed, as they mocked the youngest.
- "Oh really? Well, who are you going to the dance with?" Chase asked his brother.
- "No one." Adam frowned, sadly.
Exactly. The genius boy nodded, proudly.
- "Oh, and M, Jake was supposed to go with Zack as bros, but since he invited me and doesn't want to leave him alone..." Bree started.
- "He wants to do a double date. And you want me to be his date?" Maddie asked, in disbelief.
- "Pretty please." The bionic girl begged.
Chase frowned. She can't ask her to do that.
- "I..." The alien girl started.
- "Please, Maddie. I'm begging you. He will cancel our date, if he can't find someone to be Zack's." The Davenport girl held her best friend's shoulders.
Well, Zack's nice. I could have fun and, maybe, try to forget about Chase. The Matthews girl thought.
Please, say no. The genius boy looked at his best friend. Why do I want her to say 'no'? He frowned, confused.
- "Alright, I'm in. I'll be Zack's date." She said.
The green hazel-eyed boy felt pain, like he had been stabbed. He did not know why it was hurting him, though.
- "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" The older girl hugged her best friend.
- "Yeah, yeah. You owe me." The younger girl snickered.
- "Absolutely!" The brown-eyed girl nodded. "Thank you!"
The brothers walked away, in separated directions.
- "I'm gonna go with Chase." Maddie said and followed the boy she loved.
- "What? Why?" Bree asked.
- "Hey, Bree." Jake walked up to her.
The bionic girl turned to her best friend and smiled.
- "Oh, hey, Jake." She turned to the Chambers boys. "Maddie agreed to be Zack's date."
- "That's awesome!" Jack smiled. "I'll tell Zack and will come pick you, two, up at eight?"
The bionic girl nodded, happily.
- "Attention students: This is your principal, Principal Perry." The tall guy imitated Perry in the microphone. "Please report to the hallway where Bree Davenport is making a fool out of herself in front of the boy she has a crush on."
Everyone, except Maddie, looked at the duo and laughed. The Davenport girl gulped, nervously. The bionic brothers high-fived.
The alien girl slapped both of them upside the head.
- "I didn't do anything!" The genius boy defended.
- "You're laughing, aren't you?" The Matthews girl raised her eyebrows.
The green hazel-eyed boy rolled his eyes.
- "Oh, come on, little lady, it's funny!" The eldest chuckled.
- "So, if I ever do it to you, you will think that it's funny?" Maddie asked. Adam frowned, realizing that he would not. "Exactly. Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you."
- "I'm gonna just go." The Chambers boy said, before walking away.
- "Why would you do that?!" Bree walked up to her older brother, angrily.
- "Hey. If Perry were alive, she'd want me to do this." The tall guy said.
- "She's not dead. She's home with a cold." The bionic girl replied.
- "You don't know that. She could be dead by now, and this is how I choose to honor her." The eldest explained.
- "Well, can't you embarrass someone else besides me?" The Davenport asked.
- "I could." Adam pulled down his brother's pants, showing his boxers to everyone.
Everyone laughed.
Chase, quickly, pulled up his pants, embarrassed. I can't believe he just did that!
Looking good, Chase. The alien girl put her hand over her mouth to hide her smile.
The genius boy looked at his best friend. She's laughing, too. He sighed, annoyed.
- "But I'm better than that." The tall guy smiled.
- "No, you're not. But neither am I." The Matthews girl pulled down his pants.
Everyone laughed, again.
The older Davenport struggled to pull up his pants as he glared at his best friend.
Well, at least, even when she laughs at me, she still defends me. The green hazel-eyed boy smiled.
Maddie crossed her arms and smirked, proudly.

Later, after school, the girls walked in the lab where Chase already was.
- "Ugh. Adam is such a jerk! I cannot believe that he embarrassed me in front of Jake." Bree complained.
- "Yeah. You were doing just fine on your own." The genius boy mocked. The girls glared at him. "Don't worry, I know the perfect way to get revenge. I have been working on an upgrade to Dad's cyber masks. Now they're cyber masks and cloaks." He smiled widely.
- "Cool!" Maddie exclaimed as she looked at the devices in awe.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled widely.
- "That's not revenge." The bionic girl scoffed. "That's you being a nerd."
- "These perfectly mimic the face and the body of the person you're pretending to be. Now you can impersonate Perry and bust Adam." Chase explained. "Here is how I redesigned the electrical infrastructure..."
- "Yeah, boring, let's get to the pain." The Davenport girl grabbed one of the cyber mask and cloak.
- "Okay. All I have to do is download a picture of Principal Perry and enter her height and weight." The genius boy explained.
The two girls frowned at him as Bree put on the cyber cloak and mask.
- "I never told you her weight." The alien girl said.
- "I got it off the back of her trading card. She used to play hockey in Croatia." The green hazel-eyed boy shrugged.
- "Oh, yes. That's right!" The Matthews girl nodded.
The bionic girl sat and transformed into Principal Perry using the cyber cloak and mask.
- "And voilà!" Chase smiled.
Say long sentences in French, please. Maddie thought.
The Davenport girl looked at her reflection in the cyber desk.
- "Wow!" She gasped loudly. "I look just like her." She said with the principal's voice. "I sound just like her too. And I'm not even using my vocal manipulation." She smiled.
- "This is so cool, creepy, but cool." The alien girl chuckled.
- "I know. Voice modulation is built right in. And if you want to change back to your own voice, just press the other end of the tab." The genius boy explained.
Bree pressed the button.
- "This is so cool. This is going to be the..." She released the button. "Best revenge ever." She continued in Perry's voice.
She tried to hug her brother, who stopped her.
- "Uh! Let's just shake on it." The green hazel-eyed boy extended his hand.
The two siblings shook hands.
The Matthews girl snickered.

The next morning, at school, the three youngest of the team were listening to Adam, who was still imitating Principal Perry in the microphone.
- "Attention students, it's me again, the real Principal Perry." He said. You know, pantsuits, cats, hate you. Anywho... Even though I'm here sick at home, I want you all to know you make me sick here, too."
- "I know. He's a jerk, but she would totally say that." Maddie chuckled.
The younger siblings nodded, in agreement.
- "You ready to do this?" Chase asked his sister.
- "Oh yeah. It's Perry time." Bree walked behind a column as she pressed the button on the cyber mask and transformed into Perry while walking up to her older brother. "Hey!" She yelled. The tall guy as startled. "What do you think you're doing?"
- "Principal Perry? I thought you were sick." The eldest frowned.
- "I am, but I ran out of people to give the virus to, so I'm spreading it around here." The bionic girl replied.
- "Again. Perry would totally do that." The alien girl snickered.
- "Oh, for sure." The genius boy smiled.
- "I heard you were embarrassing the students. Well, I think it's time to embarrass you." The Davenport girl said.
- "Good luck with that." Adam laughed. "I've been embarrassing myself for years. It's kind of hard to top the master."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, the three youngest and all the students were waiting in front of Perry's office.
- "Come on out." Bree said, in the principal's voice.
Adam walked out, wearing the exact same clothing and hairstyle as Chase, causing everyone to laugh.
- "Okay, you topped the master." The tall guy replied.
- "You look ridiculous." The genius boy chuckled.
The two younger siblings high-fived.
- "You realize I'm dressed like you." The eldest frowned.
The green hazel-eyed boy looked at himself, before glaring at his sister.
- "This is not funny." Maddie pressed her lips together.
- "You are going to laugh." Chase said.
- "Nope." The alien girl bit the inside of her cheeks as she struggled to not laugh.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the girls were finishing getting ready in Bree's room.
- "This is going to be amazing!" She exclaimed from the bathroom as she changed into her dress.
- "I hope so." Maddie snickered.
- "Thank you for saying yes." The bionic girl smiled.
- "You're welcome." The alien girl nodded. "Besides, I like Zack, so it's not gonna be torture."
- "You know that it's a date?" The Davenport girl asked.
- "I don't see it as a date." The Matthews girl shrugged. "I only agreed to this for you and because, maybe, it could make me forget Chase, for a few hours."
- "Are you even capable of forgetting him?" The older girl questioned as she put on her earrings.
- "Nope." The younger girl sighed as she fixed her high ponytail. "But it's worth a try."
- "Yeah." Bree smiled, sadly, and walked out of the bathroom.
- "Damn!" Maddie exclaimed. "You go girl! Jake is going to die!"
The bionic girl chuckled as her cheeks, slightly, reddened.
- "Thank you." She smiled. "Your hair is so long!" She exclaimed. "Even in a ponytail, it stops at your waist. And look at these curls!"
- "I know." The alien girl chuckled. "I like it."
- "It suits you." The Davenport girl said. "Your turn."
- "Yep." The Matthews girl disappeared into the bathroom with her dress.
- "Why do you want to forget Chase?" The older girl asked as she put on mascara.
- "I can't stay in love with my best friend, who only sees me as a friend for the rest of my life. I need to move on. It's literally breaking my heart." The younger girl explained.
- "I see your point." Bree sighed.
- "I love him so much, and he doesn't even realize it." Maddie said. "And giving that he doesn't see me that way, it's probably better."
The bionic girl sighed. There was nothing she could do. Chase still had not realized his own feelings, and his sister could not realize it for him.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, the girls walked down the stairs, finally ready.
- "Jake just called." Bree said to her younger brother, who was sitting on the couch, reading. "They'll be here in five minutes!"
She was wearing a mid-thigh red dress with a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps with black high heels that made her look like she was 5'7. She was wearing light makeup, several rings, a bracelet, and earrings. Her straight hair was falling down her back.
- "Jake?" Chase frowned, before putting down his book. "Jake Chambers?!" He got up.
- "Shut it!" The bionic girl yelled.
The genius boy smiled proudly, before turning to look at his best friend. His eyes widened.
- "Wow." He smiled, shyly.
- "Thank you." Maddie chuckled.
She was wearing a royal blue dress that stopped above her knees, with spaghetti strap and a small v-neckline. She was also wearing black high heels that made her look like she was 5'10 like Chase, her three necklaces, a little mascara and red lipstick. Her long dark brown curly hair was styled in a high ponytail.
The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head to put himself together.
- "You are really beautiful." He said.
- "Thank you." The alien girl smiled widely.
- "I still can't believe Principal Perry came back from the dead to embarrass me like that." Adam walked in the living room. "Now, call me crazy, but I'm starting to think she's not a good person."
- "Starting?" The Matthews girl raised her eyebrows.
- "Oh, he still doesn't know." The Davenport girl chuckled.
- "Know what? That's an endless list, could you be more specific?" Chase asked.
Maddie snickered.
- "Well, Adam, a prank is no fun unless you take credit for it. So, I guess I should probably tell you it wasn't Perry messing with you, it was me." Bree explained with a smile.
- "I don't understand." The tall guy frowned.
The bionic girl walked to her backpack.
- "Here, let me show you." She put on the cyber mask and transformed into Perry. "Ain't I gorgeous?"
The geniuses laughed.
- "Yes, you are." The alien girl nodded.
- "Whoa!" The eldest exclaimed. "Bree?"
- "Mm-hmm." The latter nodded.
- "I know I should be mad, but I gotta say, best prank ever." Adam high-fived his sister.
The Davenport girl pressed one of the buttons of the cyber mask.
- "Thanks." She said with her voice. "I'm rather proud of it myself."
- "Even though it was my idea." The genius boy replied.
- "You're always proud of yourself. Take a night off." Bree patted his arm when the doorbell rang.
If he doesn't, who will be proud of him? The Matthews girl thought.
- "That's Jake and Zack! How do I look?" The bionic girl asked.
- "Like an eastern European swim coach." The green hazel-eyed boy said. "Lose the cyber cloak."
- "Good catch." The Davenport girl pressed the button as Jake knocked on the door. "Uh, be right there!" She continued to repeatedly press the button. "Chase, what's going on? And why won't it change back?"
Chase made her tilt her head to examine the cyber mask.
- "Um, I believe the technical term for this is 'it's stuck'." He explained.
- "You're kidding?!" Maddie whisper-yelled.
- "Stuck? I can't go to the dance as Perry. Ugh." Bree complained. "What am I going to do?"
The boys knocked again.
- "Bree? Are you ready?" The Chambers boy asked.
- "Maddie?" Zack frowned.
Zack Fields was 6' and a year older than Maddie. He had dirty blonde middle part hair and blue eyes.
He was the captain of the basketball team and of the debate team and was also in a band, where he was the singer.
- "I know I am." The tall guy smirked, on the couch.
- "Bree, are you there?" Jake knocked again.
- "Dude, we just arrived. Let them get ready." The Fields boy smacked his best friend's hand away.
The eldest got up to open the door.
- "Adam, do not open that door." The bionic girl warned.
- "Why would I do that? Oh, right, 'cause it's going to be hilarious." Adam opened the door. "Come on in, guys."
The guys walked in and faced the fake principal.
- "Principal Perry, what are you doing here?" Jake asked.
He was wearing jeans with a purple sweater over a plaid shirt.
- "It's like she's following us." Zack frowned. He was wearing a royal blue shirt and white pants suit. "Oh, we're matching." He chuckled as he looked at his date.
The genius boy rolled his eyes. We're matching. He mocked.
- "That's true." The alien girl snickered.
- "You look stunning." The Fields boy smiled.
- "Thank you." The Matthews girl smiled back. "You don't look bad yourself."
The green hazel-eyed boy frowned. I'm gonna be sick.
- "Thanks." Zack grinned. "I did my best to look good for you. It's not every day that I have a beautiful woman on my arm."
- "You're too nice." Maddie giggled.
Did she just giggle? Chase locked his jaw. That was a terrible pick-up line. He scoffed as he crossed his arms.
- "I'm just telling the truth, Matthews." The blue-eyed boy said.
The Davenport girl pressed the button to switch to Perry's voice.
- "Uh, yelling, sweating, rifling through their meat." She lied.
- "Where's Bree?" The Chambers boy asked.
- "She's not here." Bree replied.
- "But I just heard her voice." Jake frowned. "Is she blowing me off?"
- "No!" The two girls exclaimed.
- "I mean, she's here." The bionic girl explained. "She's just not in the room right now. She'll be down in a sec. Could you excuse us?" She hit her brother, who groaned in pain, and pulled him to another room.
- "Come on in, guys. Make yourselves comfortable." The tall guy said. "It could be a long wait." He led the two boys and his best friend towards the couch.
- "Quick, grab another cyber mask and pretend to be me, so you can tell Jake I'm too sick to go to the dance." The Davenport girl whispered to her younger brother.
- "No, I refuse to be you..." The genius boy started, before screaming as his sister super speeded him down to the lab.
- "Is there a problem?" The Chambers boy asked the eldest.
- "Absolutely." Adam nodded.
- "Of course not." The alien girl smacked his arm. "Bree is just finalizing her outfit."
Bree super speeded back upstairs with her youngest brother, who was now in a cyber mask as the bionic girl.
- "Wow!" Jake exclaimed as he got up. "You look beautiful."
- "Knock it off, dork." The genius boy frowned, in disgust.
The Matthews girl closed her eyes, in despair. You've got to be kidding me.
The green hazel-eyed boy pressed a button to change into his sister's voice.
- "I mean, nice sweater. I think I have the same one." He said.
- "Wait, what's going on?" The tall guy asked. His fake sister rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Oh, okay, I see what you did. You know what? You, guys, keep going, I want to see how this plays out." He sat on the couch.
- "Look, I'm so sorry, but I can't go to the dance. I'm real sick." Chase started coughing and hacking.
Gross. Maddie frowned.
- "She's a little weird, sometimes." Zack leaned down to whisper in her ear.
- "You have no idea." The alien girl murmured.
- "Sick? You were fine on the phone." The Chambers boy frowned.
- "Don't worry, Jake. I see what's going on here. Bree's not sick, she's just nervous." The eldest explained. "Trust me, she's super into you." He pushed his fake sister towards her date.
- "No, I'm not!" The genius boy smacked his brother's arm.
Adam hit his brother, as well. The green hazel-eyed boy punched his stomach, before jumping on his back.
- "Okay, I'm starting to get an idea." The Fields boy said.
- "That's not even their maximum." The Matthews girl replied.
- "Stop it!" Bree shouted.
The brothers turned to look at Jake.
- "Okay, this is weird. Maybe I should go." He started to walk away.
- "No, Jake, don't go." The bionic girl ran after him, before groaning. "Bree, tell him what you told me. That you think he's great and that you're dying for him to take you to the dance."
- "I am not taking him to the dance." Chase replied.
- "Could you excuse us for a second?" The Davenport girl told the Chambers boy, before pulling her youngest brother away. She pressed a button to return to her normal voice. "Because of your stupid mask, I'm about to lose the one guy who's not intimidated by me. Go to the dance and stall him until I can figure out how to switch this off."
- "No way." The genius boy said, with his voice.
- "I am a teenage girl trapped inside Perry's body. Do you really want to see what happens when those two mix?" Bree asked.
- "Fine." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "But that is no way to treat somebody pretending to be a lady." They glared at each other as they turned their cyber masks voices back on. "All right, let's go to the dance, dude." The bionic girl hits him. "I mean, shall we?" He curtsied and, quickly, walked towards the door.
- "Okay." The blue-eyed boy frowned. "Shall we?" He extended his arm.
- "Yes." Maddie took his arm and they followed Chase and Jake.
The genius boy rolled his eyes.
- "I'll chaperone." The Davenport girl said.
- "Ooh, me too." The tall guy got up and followed them. They all walked out the front door. "Hey, Jake, it's okay if you want to hold Bree's hand."
The green hazel-eyed boy ran back in, screaming and hitting his brother.
- "I'll be right back." The alien girl told the Fields boy as she ran back inside. "Stop it!" She wrapped her arms around Chase's waist to pull him away from his brother. She looked at the brothers. "This is really important for Bree, so you, two, better behave, or we will have a problem. Is that clear?"
- "Yes." The eldest nodded.
- "Yes, ma'am." The genius boy said.
- "Good. Let's go." The Matthews girl replied. "Ladies, first." She gestured to the green hazel-eyed boy to walk out first.
Chase glared at her as the two strong ones laughed.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the school cafeteria that was decorated for the dance, Adam walked up to the DJ.
- "Hey, is that your van parked outside?" He asked. The DJ nodded. "Dude, you better go check, I think somebody put a dent in it." The boy started to run out. "Oh, and hey, can you return this to shop class?" The tall guy handed him a mallet. The DJ took it and ran out of the cafeteria. "Ladies and gentlemen, let's get this party started! Whoo!" He yelled.
This is going to be a very long night. Chase sighed as everyone else applauded and cheered.
- "With a slow love ballad." The eldest pressed a button and slow music started playing.
I'm gonna kill him. The genius boy glares at his brother, who smirked. He looked at his best friend for help, but she just smiled. She is not going to help me.
Zack extended his hand to Maddie, who took it. He, respectfully, put one of his hands on her back as the other held her right hand.
The alien girl put one of her hands on his shoulder. They, slowly, moved side to side. Last time, I danced like that, it was with Chase.
- "Let's show them how it's done." Jake extended his hand to the green hazel-eyed boy, who reluctantly took it.
Chase looked at his sister, who gestured to him to go. The two boys, awkwardly, tried to hold each other the same way, several times. The genius boy crossed his arms and the Chambers boy wrapped his arms around his back, as he kept a respectful distance. He smiled and looked at the green hazel-eyed boy in the eyes, who frowned, confused. What the heck? Why am I feeling this?
Bree walked up to her older brother.
- "Don't they make a lovely couple." Adam smiled.
The bionic girl sighed, frustrated.
- "At least, someone is having fun." She gestured to their best friend, who was laughing with the Fields boy as he made her spin.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Chase walked up to the girls, who were talking by the buffet.
- "This is so boring." He complained.
- "Since when you find dances boring?" Maddie asked.
- "Since I'm pretending to be Bree and dancing with a guy." The genius boy replied.
Even though, it felt kind of nice. He thought.
- "Well, at least, you're not stuck looking like Perry." Bree said.
- "I know you, guys, hate it, but I'm with Adam on this one. This is hilarious." The alien girl chuckled.
- "Shocking." The bionic girl replied. "Where's your date?" She asked.
- "To the restroom." The Matthews girl explained.
- "You're having fun." The Davenport girl chuckled.
- "Never said I wouldn't." Maddie smiled. "It's Zack, I've known him since my first day of school. I met him only a few hours after Leo."
I wished I've known her, this long. The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "I like him." The alien girl said.
She likes him? Chase's heart sank. Why is this making me feel bad?
- "Yeah. I could see the way you were laughing." Bree smiled and observed her brother's reaction.
- "He was making jokes." The Matthews girl replied. "When we were kids, he used to be the clown of the class. But he grew and even though, he's calm and serious, in class, now. He's still the same jokester underneath."
Why is she talking about him like that? The genius boy frowned. Is she laughing with me like that? Is she talking about me like that?
- "Here you go." Zack walked up to them and handed a plate to Maddie with a piece of brownie. "You used to live for this." He chuckled.
She still does. The green hazel-eyed boy rolled his eyes, annoyed.
- "I still do." Maddie chuckled. "Thank you." She took the plate and took a bite of the cake.
- "You're welcome." The Fields boy took a bite of cake in his plate. The two walked away as they continued to talk. "You remember when Nora pushed Callie's face into her birthday cake at her twelfth birthday?"
- "Oh my god, yes!" The alien girl covered her mouth as she laughed. "And then Callie grabbed some cake and rubbed it in Nora's face."
-" And Nora complained that she had chocolate cake in her nose." The blue-eyed boy laughed.
- "It was hilarious!" The Matthews girl exclaimed.
Zack nodded as he smiled.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Across the room, the siblings were watching Maddie covering her mouth as she laughed.
Chase crossed his arms, irritated. Nobody can be THAT funny.
- "There you are." Jake smiled as he walked up to the siblings.
- "Oh, hi." The genius boy, awkwardly, chuckled.
- "You ready to hit the dance floor again?" The Chambers boy asked.
- "Yeah, just give me a sec to run to the can." The green hazel-eyed replied, before he saw the confused look on Jake's face. "Uhh...Trash can. In the ladies room. Yep, I am all lady." He, awkwardly, laughed and ran away.
- "Why does she keep blowing me off?" The Chambers boy asked the fake principal. "I knew I shouldn't have asked her to the dance. Why would a bionic girl be into a regular guys like me?" He started to walk away, sadly.
- "No, Jake, wait." The bionic girl stopped him. "She's into you. She's really, really into you." She put her hair behind her ear. Jake frowned, in disgust and walked away. "Ooh!" She frowned as she realized what she just did.
She walked up to her older brother.
- "Having fun?" Adam smirked.
Bree pressed the button to speak in her voice.
- "What do you think? Jake thinks I'm avoiding him, and I'm trapped inside Perry's body which, by the way, is as sweaty inside as it is outside." She explained, making her brother frowned, in disgust. "Ugh! Why won't this thing come off? Ugh! This is the worst day of my life." She sat down and put her face in her hands.
- "And the best day of mine." The tall guy pointed across the room where the real Perry was in the doorway, blowing her nose.
The bionic girl gasped and hid behind a table. Chase stormed back in.
- "Cindy Fogelberg just forced me to try her lipstick." He said to the real Perry with his voice. "I am done doing this for you. And why'd you change your clothes?" he frowned.
- "What? What are you talking about? And why does your voice sound higher than usual?" The principal asked.
- "Very funny, Bree." The genius boy rolled his eyes. The Davenport girl knocked a cup off the table. The green hazel-eyed turned to the noise and saw his sister. "Oh!" He screamed.
- "What? What are you looking at?" Perry looked at the table, where Bree was hiding and she saw nothing. "And why'd you call me Bree? Something weird is going on here."
- "Uh..." Chase started.
- "Bree?" Jake walked up to him. The genius boy pressed the button to turn into his sister's voice. "I think I'm just going to go."
- "Oh, no, you're not going anywhere." The green hazel-eyed boy grabbed his arm and led him on the dance floor. "Come on, I want to go dance like the girl that I am. Whoo!" He started to dance. "Yeah!"
The bionic girl tried to sneak out.
- "Hey!" The principal yelled. "What do you think you're doing?"
The eldest teenager laughed.
- "I can explain." The Davenport girl said.
- "You better. My long-lost twin sister shows up after 11 years, she better have a real good reason." Perry replied.
- "Whoa, hold on. You're a twin?" Bree asked.
- "Don't try that amnesia thing with me again." The principal said. "You owe me a car, a canoe, and two boyfriends."
- "I'm...sorry?" The bionic girl frowned.
- "You're gonna be. I'm about to give you real amnesia." Perry replied as she took off her jacket.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, Zach and Maddie were slow dancing as he spun her around.
- "Years later, you're still not stopping to spin me." The alien girl chuckled.
- "Never." The Fields boy smiled as he pulled her against his chest.
Across the dance floor, Jake was holding Chase as they slow danced. His arm were along his body as he was against the Chambers boy chest.
Why does it feel good? The genius boy, slowly, rose his arms to wrap them around Jake's back, but lowered them again, not daring to touch him.
Bree and Perry were fighting in the entryway.
- "Get off me!" The bionic girl yelled.
- "You can keep the boyfriends, but I want the canoe!" The principal shouted.
The Davenport girl, suddenly, transformed back into herself as Perry was about to punch her.
- "Awesome!" Adam laughed.
- "So, I hear you're in the market for a canoe." Bree smiled.
The green hazel-eyed also turned back into himself while he was against Jake's chest, slow dancing.
- "Even more awesome!" The tall guy exclaimed.
- "What just happened?" The blue-eyed boy asked as he pointed to the boys.
- "Long story short, they took a device from their father's lab to prank Adam. Bree pretended to be Perry but got stuck as her, so Chase went to the dance as Bree." The Matthews girl explained.
- "You really weren't kidding when you said that I had no idea how weird they are." Zack chuckled.
- "Nope." Maddie smiled.
The Chambers boy realized and stepped away from Chase, confused.
- "What?" The genius boy frowned and looked down at himself. "Oh. Thank you for a magical evening." He put his hand on Jake's shoulder as he smiled widely, before running to his brother.
- "I'll be right back." The alien girl said, before walking to the brothers. "So, how was your first dance as a girl?"
- "Shut it." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "It's not funny."
- "Oh, it is. Just not for you." The eldest chuckled.
- "Exactly." The Matthews girl nodded.
The two strong ones high-fived as Chase rolled his eyes and walked away.
- "So, how's it going with Zack?" Adam asked.
- "It's going great." Maddie said. "You should talk to him, more. You, two, would get along."
- "I will." The tall guy, slightly, blushed.
- "I'm going back to him. See you later, big guy." The alien girl walked to the Fields boy.
- "Why did you say to Adam?" He asked.
- "I just told him that the two of you would get along." The Matthews girl shrugged.
- "Why?" Zack frowned.
- "Because it's true." Maddie replied.
- "And what did he say?" The Fields boy asked as his cheeks reddened.
- "He said that he will." The alien girl smirked.
- "Really?" The blue-eyed boy smiled widely.
- "Yes! I told you to speak to him." The Matthews girl snickered.
- "I know, but you're not the best person to give advices on how to talk to your crush." Zack said.
- "Hey! At least, I talk to Chase, every day." Maddie defended. "You talked to Adam, like twenty times, since the new school year started."
- "Yeah, well, it's not like we have things to talk about." The Fields boy sighed.
- "Yes, you do." The alien girl said. "You, both, love marvel movies and basketball. You can start with that and see where it leads you."
- "Okay." The blue-eyed boy exhaled. "I will. Did he seem interested, though?"
- "I cannot answer for him." The Matthews girl replied.
Adam seemed very interested. She smiled.
- "That's not helping." Zack sighed.
- "Talk to him." Maddie snickered.
- "I will." The Fields boy smiled. "You know what? I am going to talk to him, right now." He said, determined.
- "Atta boy." The alien girl patted his back.
The blue-eyed boy walked towards Adam.
The Matthews girl smiled as she watched the two of them blush.
The youngest bionic boy walked up to Maddie.
- "Your date left you?" He asked.
- "It wasn't a date." The alien girl chuckled. "Just two friends hanging out."
- "Really?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Yes. I don't like him like that." The blue-eyed girl said. "And he doesn't see me like that either."
- "Okay, I didn't know." The Davenport boy replied.
- "You thought that I was seeing him as more than a friend?" The Matthews girl asked.
- "Honestly, yeah." Chase nodded.
- "Well, I don't." Maddie said. "He's just an old friend."
- "Alright." The bionic boy smiled softly. "So, since you aren't on a date, do you want to dance?" He extended his hand.
- "Yes." The alien girl took his hand as he led her to the dance floor.
The green hazel-eyed boy put his hands on her waist as he pulled her closer.
The blue-eyed girl wrapped her arms around his neck.
The Davenport boy pulled her closer, putting his chin on her shoulder.
The Matthews girl smiled, before looking across the room and seeing Adam pulling on Zack's hand to lead him out of the cafeteria.
The Fields boy smiled at his friend.
- "Told you." Maddie mouthed.
The blue-eyed boy rolled his eyes as he walked out of the room.
The alien girl smiled as she closed her eyes and enjoyed her dance with the boy she loved and could never forget.
