Almost three weeks later, the two heroines were flying after a police siren.
Since Rhea's death, criminals had been calmer than usual, allowing the heroes to rest and enjoy their days most of the time, leaving them only few missions.
And tonight, a new one arrived for the two aliens.
There we go. GreatGirl thought.
The fiancées were chasing a truck.
Alex took her upper body out the window and shot at the back of the truck, but a masked man from the passenger seat opened his door to shot at her.
- "Look out!" Maggie yelled and pulled her back in the car.
The criminal shot in front of a police car a grenade, making it deviate as the fiancées continued to chase the truck.
The driver slowed down the truck, making their car hit the back of the truck as the driver dragged their car.
- "They're dragging us!" The Sawyer woman shouted.
A 6' black bald man with black eyes opened the back of the truck and aimed at them with a mini gun.
- "No!" The older Danvers woman widened her eyes.
The bald man shot at them, but the heroines landed on the hood of the car in front of the fiancées, letting the bullets crush against their chests.
Supergirl grabbed the mini-gun and threw it on the road behind.
The criminal, who had a mind blocker, went back inside and climbed on a ladder to the roof of the truck.
The Matthews girl lifted the back of the truck, making it let go of the car, as the younger Danvers flew on top of the truck.
The bald man tried to hit her with an electrified stick, but she grabbed it, unaffected by it, making him widen his eyes.
The Kryptonian punched him, before grabbing him and throwing him on the top of a parked car.
He held his back and ran away.
The quadbrid flew after the truck, which drove straight to the car of a mother and her son.
She put herself in front of the truck, holding it, before it could crush that car.
Supergirl landed next to her, and they walked towards the car.
- "Is everyone okay?" GreatGirl asked.
- "Yes, thanks to you." The mother nodded.
- "Supergirl, GreatGirl, you're the best." The son smiled. The heroines smiled softly at him. "Could you sign this?" He searched for something in his bag. "Wait for it... Ha! Here you go." He handed them a piece of paper and a pen.
- "Of course." The younger Danvers nodded and signed it, before giving it to her protégée.
The Matthews girl signed the paper and handed it back to him with the pen.
- "There you go, sweetie." She said.
- "Thank you so much." The little boy smiled widely.
- "You're welcome." The heroines smiled and flew away.

A few minutes later, the heroines walked inside the D.E.O.
- "Cool car chase." Mon-El said, before kissing his girlfriend's temple and his sister's head.
- "Hey." GreatGirl whispered.
- "Very fast, very furious." Winn added.
- "Any luck IDing the one that got away?" Supergirl asked.
- "Oh, still running facial recognition. So far nothing." The Schott man replied.
- "Anything else we can go on?" J'onn walked in.
- "This is his." The younger Danvers showed the blood of her hand and grabbed a medial plate. "Winn, can you send a sample up to Alex's lab? Maybe his DNA is already in the database."
- "Okay." The tech guy frowned, in disgust. "Well, this is new and gross." He grabbed the pair of surgical gloves.
The Matthews girl rolled her eyes.
- "Just give me that." She grabbed the gloves and put them on. "Rookie." She teased.
Winn frowned at her, playfully.
- "I should have cuffed him." The Kryptonian sighed.
- "You knocked him 100 yards into the roof of that SUV." Alex walked in. "Not to mention saving my fiancée and I."
- "Very impressive, babe." The Matthews man added.
- "Yeah." The Schott man nodded. "And that truck was full of aluminum tubing. Right, which doesn't really seem like much until you use it to build an illegal nuclear centrifuge."
The quadbrid took a sample of the blood on her mentor's hand.
- "This is a big win, Supergirl." The J'onzz man reassured.
- "It's not a win until they're behind bars." The Kryptonian replied.
- "Done." GreatGirl put the sample in a test tube.
- "Let's get this guy." Supergirl took a wipe and cleaned her hand, before starting to walk away, her boyfriend following her.
- "Hey, uh..." The older Danvers went after her. "So, tomorrow, Maggie and I are gonna go do the tasting for the wedding. Three hours of hors d'oeuvres and nothing but hors d'oeuvres. Pot stickers, oyster shooters, pigs in blankets. Did I mention the pot stickers?" She chuckled softly. "Do you wanna... Both of you."
- "We would love to." The younger Danvers smiled.
- "Food, uh, yum." The Daxamite chuckled.
The right hand snickered.
- "Well, we're all gonna meet at the bar beforehand, too." She said.
- "Great." The Kryptonian nodded. "We'll meet you there."
- "Perfect." Alex smiled.
The couple walked away.

A few minutes later, Maddie teleported in her normal clothes at the penthouse to find Chase playing video games on the couch.
- "Hey." The quadbrid said as she put a shield around them.
- "Hey." The bionic boy replied. "How was the mission?"
- "One of the criminals escaped." The Matthews girl sighed.
- "I'm sorry, baby." The Davenport boy frowned, his eyes leaving the screen for a second.
- "I'm going to bed." The blue-eyed girl said. "You're coming?"
- "Yep, once I'm done with my game." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Babe..." Maddie frowned. "You've been playing for hours."
- "I'm bored." Chase shrugged. "Not enough missions."
The quadbrid smirked and walked up behind him, before putting her hands on his eyes.
- "Mads..." The bionic boy chuckled.
The Matthews girl snickered and pulled her hands away.
The Davenport boy sighed and put the controller down.
- "I'm dead." He said.
- "Oops." The blue-eyed girl shrugged.
The green hazel-eyed boy turned off the console and the TV.
- "Come here." He got up.
- "Nope." Maddie shook her head.
Chase ran towards her, before grabbing her and throwing her over his shoulder.
- "No!" The quadbrid laughed. "Put me down!"
- "Nope." The bionic boy smiled and walked towards the stairs.
- "Chase, come on." The Matthews girl chuckled.
- "Nope." The Davenport boy shook his head as he walked up the stairs.
- "Okay, fine." The blue-eyed girl gave up. "Then, I will just admire the view." She reached down and smacked his ass, making him yelp.
- "So will I." The green hazel-eyed boy smacked her ass back.
Maddie laughed.
- "I hate you." She said.
Chase opened his bedroom and threw her on the bed, before closing the door and locking it.
- "Oh, yeah? You hate me?" He smirked and put himself on top of her.
- "Yeah." The quadbrid smiled.
- "Then you will hate me even more when I do this." The bionic boy sat back on her thighs and started tickling her sides.
- "Chase! No!" The Matthews girl laughed as she wiggled underneath his torturous hands. "Stop it! Please!" She begged her boyfriend.
After a few more minutes of torture, the Davenport boy finally listened to her pleas.
While the blue-eyed girl was taking her breath back, the green hazel-eyed boy smiled and looked at her, like she was the most precious thing in the world.
And she was, to his eyes at least.
- "What?" Maddie asked, noticing his gaze.
- "Your laugh is horrible." Chase teased.
Lies. He thought. It's the most beautiful sound in the world.
The quadbrid scoffed, amused.
- "Wow." She chuckled. "You're an idiot." She smiled.
- "Maybe." The bionic boy lowered himself and put both of his hands on each side of her face. "But I'm your idiot." He whispered against her lips.
The Matthews girl giggled and switched their position, making him fall on his back.
- "That was so cheesy." She whispered against his lips and then pulled back to tease him.
- "I know." The Davenport boy raised his head to get closer to her lips.
The blue-eyed girl lowered his face, allowing him to cup her face with both of his hands.
The green hazel-eyed boy kissed her slowly.

The next morning, Maddie was walking through CatCo with her best friend, looking at their boss on TV.
- "Ms. Grant!" Several journalists yelled simultaneously.
- "Okay, Carl." Cat said.
- "Does President Marsdin believe climate change is real?" Carl asked.
- "Uh, yes." The Grant woman frowned. "Yes, Carl. As a matter of fact, she does." She nodded. "She also believes that two plus two equals four and the Earth is round because the President is not a moron. Any third-grader knows that global warming is the biggest threat of our time. And I'm happy to report that the intellectual capacity of our President is not inferior to that of an eight-year-old. Next question."
- "I love Cat so much." Mia snickered.
- "Me too." The Matthews girl nodded. "I miss her, though."
- "Same." The Krillin woman sighed. "It's weird to not have her around."
- "I know." The quadbrid said. "But she's an amazing press secretary."
- "Right!" The Agotarian exclaimed. "Like she is AMAZING."
- "It's Cat." Maddie smiled.
- "Cat Grant, ladies and gentlemen." Mia gestured to the TV.
The two women walked away, smiling.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Mia walked up to her best friend as she was waiting for her boyfriend to come home.
Chase was on the couch in his thoughts.
- "What's on your mind, Chasey?" The Krillin woman sat next to him, but he did not answer. "Earth to Chase." She moved her hand in front of his face.
- "Huh?" The Davenport boy frowned and looked at her.
- "Wow, where did you go?" The Agotarian frowned.
- "Sorry." The bionic boy sighed. "I was just thinking."
- "About the ceremony tomorrow?" Mia asked.
The day after was an unveiling of the statues made by Lena Luthor to honor the superheroes who had fought off the Daxamites.
- "Yeah." Chase nodded. "It's just that I can't believe we're all gonna have a statue. It makes me nervous."
- "I know I can feel it." The Krillin woman said. "I've been feeling you like this since the announcement. You deserve this statue, Chase."
The Davenport boy nodded and laid back on the couch.
- "It's just that now there's gonna be a statue of me at the waterfront. It's weird." He replied.
- "Yeah, I bet it is." The Agotarian smiled softly. "But that's a good thing. You all deserve this."
- "Mostly Mads." The bionic boy smiled back. "She saved all of us."
- "You know she wouldn't agree with that." Mia snickered.
- "I know." Chase chuckled softly. "She would say it's a teamwork, but the truth is that she's the one who fought off Rhea and activated the bomb. And who fought Superman and Supergirl and won."
- "I know." The Krillin woman nodded. "But you know Maddie, the day she'll take credit for something, there will a tsunami."
The Davenport boy snorted.
- "Yeah." He said.
The Agotarian put her hand on his shoulder.
- "You deserved this statue." She added.
The bionic boy looked at her and smiled softly.
- "Thanks, Mia." He replied.
- "You're welcome, Chasey." Mia smirked.
- "Here we go again." Chase rolled his eyes.
- "Roll your eyes all you want; I won't stop calling you that." The Krillin woman snickered.
- "I know." The Davenport boy shook his head, amused.
The Agotarian grinned.
The bionic boy rolled his eyes with a smile.

Later, that evening, the team of the D.E.O. left the alien bar after Winn received an alert.
Maggie understood and called to push the tasting for the wedding.
- "You were able to trace the Merc with his blood?" Supergirl asked.
- "Meet Robert DuBois." The Schott man showed the criminal. "Goes by Bloodsport." He sat at his computer.
- "Weird name." GreatGirl frowned.
- "Bloodsport." Valor repeated. "That's not the name of any sport I've ever heard of."
Since Rhea's attack, 'Valor' was Mon-El's superhero name chose by Winn, like promised.
- "What do we know about him?" J'onn questioned.
- "Oh, you remember those bombings at City Hall, a few years ago? That was him." The tech guy explained. "And he's been AWOL ever since."
The Matthews girl typed on the keyboard.
- "His file says he's ex-military." She said.
- "Where was he last stationed?" Alex asked.
- "Fort Harrison. Like 20 minutes outside the city." Winn replied.
- "He worked security detail." The younger Danvers read.
- "He'd have knowledge of all the ins and outs of the base." The J'onzz man continued. "He could sneak on, locate weapons, technology, anything he wanted to."
- "That's super dangerous." The Matthews man frowned.
- "Winn, call his CO. See what they know about him." The quadbrid said.
- "Okay." The Schott man picked up his tablet and started to look for the phone number as the trio started to walk away. "Whoa, whoa!" He yelled, in worry.
- "What?" The older Danvers frowned.
- "Okay, the base server is down. This system is scrambled. Somebody hacked it." The tech guys explained.
The three heroes looked at each other.
- "We've got this." They, simultaneously, said, before they leaped away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the three aliens landed outside Fort Harrison.
They noticed a soldier unconscious on the floor.
Valor rushed to him and kneeled, taking his pulse.
- "He's alive, just unconscious." He said.
The women sighed, in relief.
Supergirl scanned the soldier with her X-Ray vision as GreatGirl scanned the building.
- "No external injuries, he will be fine." The Danvers woman smiled softly.
- "The walls are in lead." The Matthews girl frowned. "We can't see through."
- "Let's go." The Matthews man got up.
The trio walked in the building.
They heard a faint sound, and they stopped in their steps, looking at nothing, but something invisible shot at the three of them one by one, sending them flying to the ground across the room.
Three armed soldiers ran into the room, but the mysterious weapon shot at them, sending them to the ground as well.
- "Help me!" A soldier yelled, in pain. "Please... Help me!"
The heroes got up and dodged several new shots.
- "Go." The Daxamite said. "I got them." He kneeled next to a soldier.
The women nodded and ran towards the invisible weapon.
Valor ran to the soldiers and checked if they were hurt.
- "It's okay. I've got you." He whispered.
The two heroines slid on the floor, avoiding shots, before quickly getting up to use their heat visions at the invisible weapon, which broke the invisible cloak. It was a Daxamite ship.
The two women frowned as Robert shot at them again, sending them to the ground, before he jumped out of the back of the ship.
He ran out the back door as the heroines got up and decided to go help the other soldiers instead of running after him.
- "It's okay. I'm here." The quadbrid said as she used her X-Ray vision on the young soldier. "You have no internal injuries. You're gonna be okay."
The Kryptonian scanned the two other soldiers.
- "You're all gonna be okay." She assured.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, after the trio took the soldiers to the hospital to get check out, GreatGirl went back home while her brother went back to his girlfriend's place.
The quadbrid walked out of the shower into her bedroom.
She dried her body and put on her pajamas, before teleporting to her boyfriend's room.
Chase was sleeping under his sheets, hugging her t-shirt tightly.
- "Aw, my love." The Matthews girl whispered with a smile, before sliding under the sheets behind him.
She wrapped her arms around his chest and looked at him for a moment, before closing her eyes, falling asleep.
The bionic boy groaned slightly in his sleep.

Sunday, 29th October 2017
The next day, Chase opened his eyes and saw the beach.
He was wearing his favorite blue flannel with a simple pair of jeans, his converse, his three rings and his three bracelets.
- "Where the heck am I?" He looked at the waves in the ocean.
A little further ahead, at the edge of the sea, was Chase.
He was skipping rocks into the water, distracted.
He was barefoot, with his black jeans rolled up to his knees so they would not get wet, and he was wearing a red plaid shirt underneath a leather jacket.
He sighed lightly, looking at the sea.
The genius boy frowned as he saw a silhouette near the water.
He hesitated and walked closer.
- "Hey!" He called out. "Excuse me. Do you know where I am?"
The Davenport man frowned and looked to the side, taking a step back in distress.
- "In my house. You shouldn't be here." He said, throwing away the rock that was in his hand. "How did you get here?" He deepened his frown, looking away from the sunlight.
- "I have no idea." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head as he looked around trying to figure out where exactly he was.
- "What do you mean, you have no idea?" The Captain started walking towards him. "You just showed up here?" He frowned.
- "Yeah." Chase 2 nodded. "I was sleeping, and all of a sudden I'm on the beach."
- "You were sleeping?" Chase said confused and slowed down as he got closer. "I was sleeping." He said, thoughtfully.
The genius boy looked at him and noticed his face. He's me. With a beard.
- "So, we are both dreaming." He replied. "An alter ego dream. Never had one before." He frowned.
Holy shit. The Davenport man frowned and looked at him.
- "You are...me." His eyes widened as he realized.
- "Apparently so." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "This is so weird." He looked at his face in detail.
- "Woah." The Captain sighed. "But everything here feels so real." He shook his head.
- "Yeah." Chase 2 agreed. "But this doesn't look like anything from where I live."
- "Because this is my house." Chase pointed to himself.
- "I meant all the buildings from afar." The genius boy replied and looked away. "I don't have them."
- "Oh Well." The Davenport man frowned. "Like I said, this is where I live." He said and looked away.
- "Your house is beautiful." The green hazel-eyed boy added.
The Captain smiled proudly.
- "Thanks. You have no idea how hard it was to get this." He said, looking around thoughtfully.
- "Well, we just met, so I definitely don't." Chase 2 smiled softly.
- "Good point." Chase smirked.
- "I know." The genius boy nodded.
- "Wow, that's so weird, but..." The Davenport man shook his head in amusement. "So cool." He grinned.
- "Definitely." The green hazel-eyed boy looked at him. "It's me." He gestured to his own face. "With a beard." He gestured to his older self's face.
- "And you..." The Captain started walking around his younger self, looking at him intently. "It's like me in the past." He said.
- "Yeah?" Chase 2 smiled.
- "Yeah." Chase chuckled lightly, putting a hand on his shoulder as he completed the circle around him. "Exactly the same."
- "This is too weird." The genius boy chuckled softly.
- "It's curious, actually." The Davenport man frowned with a grin.
The green hazel-eyed boy nodded and looked up and down at him.
- "You wear leather jackets?" He asked.
- "No." The Captain replied, sarcastically. "This is a vest." He smirked, adjusting the collar of the jacket.
Chase 2 rolled his eyes, amused.
- "Yeah, I do..." Chase shrugged. "Why?"
- "No reason." The genius boy shook his head. "It's just that I never do, so it's another difference we have."
- "It's pretty cool." The Davenport man looked down at himself. "My fiancée has a long history with leather jackets. I got it from her." He smirked softly, looking back at him.
- "That's nice." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled softly.
The Captain nodded, still trying to get used to the situation.
- "I wonder why we are having the same dream." Chase 2 frowned, thoughtful.
- "I have no Idea." Chase shook his head. "And this pisses me off." He pressed his lips together.
- "Same." The genius boy sighed. "I hate not understanding something."
- "It freaks me out not to understand something." The Davenport man said. "Or not to be able to solve something." He looked away.
- "We are really alter egos." The green hazel-eyed boy snorted.
- "Yup." The Captain smiled. "As if your face wasn't enough for me to notice that." He said, sarcastically.
- "Everyone was right. I really am super sarcastic." Chase 2 frowned.
Chase scoffed.
- "No." He said, sarcastically.
The genius boy raised his eyebrows at him. Really?
- "You don't know real sarcasm." The Davenport man shook his head. "My fiancée is the queen of sarcasm. I'm an amateur compared to her." He shrugged.
- "You found a good match." The green hazel-eyed boy smirked.
- "Oh, you have no idea." The Captain chuckled lightly, blushing as he walked past him.
- "I'm guessing we have to figure out the point of this common dream if we want to get out." Chase 2 said as he followed him.
- "Yeah, I figured." Chase sighed as he glanced quickly over his shoulder.
- "That's gonna be fun." The genius boy, sarcastically, said.
- "Eh, I've had worse dreams." The Davenport man said with a slight smile, glancing at him.
- "Same." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "But knowing that we are stuck here against our wills is not a good feeling."
- "You got a point." The Captain agreed as he walked up to the porch. "But like I said, it could be worse." He sighed, walking up the steps.
- "True." Chase 2 sighed and looked down. "You have a scar?"
Chase stopped and ran his fingers over the scar on his eyebrow briefly, before turning around.
- "What?" He frowned, looking at his younger self, lowering his hand.
- "On your foot." The genius boy pointed down.
- "Oh." The Davenport man looked down and lifted his foot to look at his heel. "Yeah, I..." He paused. "I stepped on a shard of glass." He lowered his foot.
- "Ouch." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
That wasn't what hurt me the most that day. The Captain shrugged.
- "Yeah, it was..." He looked down. "Hard to get it off without leaving a mark." He pressed his lips together.
- "Sorry for you." Chase 2 said. "And the one on your eyebrow?"
- "Oh this." Chase ran his fingers over the scar, he smirked softly. "It was a misunderstanding...with a friend." He said in mild amusement.
- "Violent friend." The genius boy chuckled softly.
This is weird. His scar is at the same spot as Harper's Chase, but I can't know for sure if it's him. He thought.
- "Oh Yeah." The Davenport man chuckled lightly. "But that's okay. They're...memories." He smirked.
- "Okay." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Do you want to come in?" The Captain opened the door of the house. "It's my dream, so I believe there's no one else here besides us." He said.
- "Sure." Chase 2 followed him. "Thanks."
- "Sure, My house is your house. Literally." Chase chuckled lightly. "Because you are me." He walked through the door.
- "Yeah. I guess." The genius boy snickered and walked inside. "Wow, this is amazing." He looked around. "Did you live at the penthouse too?"
- "Thanks. And yes, about three years ago." The Davenport man replied.
- "Cool." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded until he noticed several pictures, including two with Maddie. "Mads?" He frowned.
I was right. It's him. He thought.
Mads? The Captain looked back at him.
- "What?" He asked.
Chase 2 looked at him with wide eyes.
- "You're the other Chase!" He pointed at him.
- "YOU're the other Chase!" Chase pointed at him in shock.
- "You're Harper's Chase!" The genius boy exclaimed.
- "You're Maddie's Chase!" The Davenport man exclaimed with a smile creeping in.
- "I've wanted to meet you for so long!" The green hazel-eyed boy smiled widely.
- "Yeah." The Captain nodded. "Me too." He smirked.
- "We're meeting like they did." Chase 2 chuckled softly.
- "You're right." Chase chuckled. "I can't believe it's really you." He smiled.
- "This is awesome!" The genius boy exclaimed. "I was honestly losing hope of ever meeting you." He snorted.
- "Oh, I was about to hunt you down." The Davenport man smirked playfully. "Not knowing you would be unacceptable."
The green hazel-eyed boy chuckled.
- "I can't believe this is actually happening." He said.
- "Same." The Captain extended his hand. "Nice to meet you." He said.
- "Nice to meet you, too." Chase 2 shook his hand. "Chase." He smirked.
- "Chase." Chase smirked. "Nice name."
- "Agree." The genius boy nodded.
- "Captain Chase Davenport." The Davenport man let go of his hand and pointed at himself, smugly.
- "Just Chase Davenport." The green hazel-eyed boy gestured to himself.
The Captain smiled gently.
- "That's amazing." He said. "That's the event of the century. And there's no one here to see it." He looked around.
- "I know." Chase 2 shook his head. "What a shame."
- "Yup." Chase pressed his lips together. "At least I'll have a mental picture of that moment."
- "Same." The genius boy nodded. "Mads and Harper are gonna be disappointed to have missed that." He smirked.
- "Yeah. But maybe it's better they're not here." The Davenport man said. "Those two together are... impossible."
- "I know." The green hazel-eyed boy chuckled softly. "Just on the phone, they are impossible together. I can't even imagine what you've been through."
- "Yeah, Not easy." The Captain shook his head. "Okay. It makes sense of all the Alter Egos in all the universes that you're the one I find here." He said.
- "It does." Chase 2 nodded. "And to be fair, you have Harper and Mads in real life annoying you. I have Harper on the phone, plus Mads and Mia in real life." He sighed.
- "I have a lot of people who annoy me." Chase shrugged.
- "How many people do you have who make you blush on purpose just for fun?" The genius boy frowned.
The Davenport man thought and counted it on his fingers.
- "Oh boy." The green hazel-eyed boy snickered.
- "About nine." The Captain frowned. "Although new ones always appear."
- "I feel sorry for you." Chase 2 frowned.
- "Same though." Chase smiled.
- "I'm glad we finally meet because I wanted to thank you in person for everything you did for Mads since you met." The genius boy said with a soft smile. "Thank you."
The Davenport man smiled gently.
- "You're welcome, I'll always be there for her." He nodded with a soft smile.
- "I know." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "And she will always be there for you. But still, you helped her SO much."
The Captain looked down and smiled gently.
- "Glad to know." He said.
- "She was so happy after you came last time." Chase 2 added.
Chase softened his gaze.
- "She was?" He asked.
- "Yes!" The genius boy exclaimed. "The fact that you came and stayed for two hours and put the shirt. She wanted to give it to you since last month." He snickered.
- "Really?" The Davenport man frowned in disbelief.
- "Yes." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "She had the shirt in her closet for weeks. She was just waiting to give it to you. And she made it to annoy you, and the fact that you liked it made her so happy." He smiled.
That's so cute. The Captain blushed slightly and looked away.
- "Wow." He said. "I'm glad I made her happy."
- "She always is after you two talk." Chase 2 smiled.
In your face, Mads! He likes you! He thought.
Chase put his hands in his pockets and turned towards the kitchen. 'After talking to me' ME! He smiled wildly with his back to his younger self.
- "That's good to know." He said.
The genius boy smirked.
The Davenport man leaned against the counter and crossed his arms.
- "Alright." He sighed. "Why are we Here?"
- "I don't know." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. "When Mads and Harper met, it was because Harper needed her. So, I guess one of us needs the other." He shrugged.
The Captain looked away, replaying his entire day in his head.
- "I'm fine." He lied, lightly shrugging.
- "Okay, I get why Mads says that I'm a terrible liar." Chase 2 frowned and crossed his arms.
Chase rolled his eyes.
- "I'm fine, I had a great day." He insisted.
No, I had a hell of a day. He thought.
- "Yeah, okay." The genius boy rolled his eyes.
- "Seriously." The Davenport man insisted.
- "You can say it again and again, I will not believe you." The green hazel-eyed boy said.
- "I noticed." The Captain raised his eyebrow in frustration.
Chase 2 shook his head.
- "Are you seriously judging me?" Chase frowned.
- "Are you seriously lying to yourself?" The genius boy raised his eyebrows.
- "You're another me, we're not the same person." The Davenport man said.
- "I felt you hug Mads last year, like I feel that you're lying." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
The Captain tilted his head, annoyed.
- "I don't want to talk about it." He crossed his arms.
- "You could have just said that instead of lying." Chase 2 said.
- "I didn't expect you to be so insistent." Chase looked out the window.
- "I'm used to doing that with Mads." The genius boy shrugged. "I swear, this girl never talks about herself. You have to ask dozens of questions."
And it's totally worth it. He smiled softly, looking at the ground.
- "I Got that. And I have one of those too." The Davenport man smirked. "But seriously, I'm fine." He said. "I'll handle this on my own."
- "Okay." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Thanks." The Captain said.
- "Of course." Chase 2 replied.
Chase sat on the counter.
- "So. Why do you need me?" He asked.
- "I don't know." The genius boy shrugged.
- "Well, then make yourself comfortable." The Davenport man said.
- "I'm good. Thanks." The green hazel-eyed boy leaned back against a wall.
- "I'm just saying." The green hazel-eyed boy said. "If neither of us has anything to work out. We're gonna stay here forever." He sighed.
Chase 2 sighed and closed his eyes, in despair.
Chase pressed his lips together
- "I'm kidding." He said.
- "No, you're right." The genius boy opened his eyes.
- "Am I?" The Davenport man frowned and leaned on one of his legs.
- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Alrighty Then." The Captain patted his legs in resignation.
Chase 2 looked down, thoughtful, as he made his favorite ring spin around his finger.
- "Since we're going to be here for a while. I don't know about you..." Chase got off the counter and walked back in the living room. "But I'm going to my favorite room in the house." He said as he put on a pair of sneakers that were on a shoe rack in the living room.
- "And that is?" The genius boy frowned.
- "Upstairs." The Davenport man said, heading towards the stairs.
- "Ooookay." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned as he followed him.
The Captain walked up the stairs to the hallway, and he glanced briefly at his and Harper's room with mild anticipation.
But the room was empty.
He walked to the door at the end of the hallway.
Chase 2 continued to walk behind him.
Chase opened the door to his music room and walked in, glancing back at his younger self.
- "This is where I turn my mind off for a bit." He explained.
- "Wow." The genius boy looked around. "Cool room."
- "Thanks." The Davenport man looked around proudly.
- "I..." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. "I actually have something that's bothering me."
- "Ha! See?" The Captain smiled briefly, pointing at him. "I knew this place would clear your mind, it always works." He sat on a couch.
Chase 2 chuckled softly.
- "Go ahead." Chase said and pointed to his side on the couch. "What's wrong?" He asked.
The genius boy sat next to him.
- "Did Mads tell you about the statues?" He asked.
- "No." The Davenport man shook his head.
- "That's not surprising; she hates to brag." The green hazel-eyed boy said.
- "I don't get It." The Captain frowned.
- "The statues are for us." Chase 2 sighed. "There's gonna be a statue for each hero who fought during the Daxamites' attack."
A monument? Like the central tower of the Mighty Force. Chase nodded.
- "Okay, that's awesome." He said.
- "Mmm." The genius boy shrugged. "A giant Mads, Mon-El, Kara, Adam, Leo, Bree, Skylar, Oliver, Kaz. And me..." He mumbled the last part.
- "I don't get the problem, Man." The Davenport man shook his head. "You're afraid the sculptor is bad?" He frowned. "Like the guy who made dad's Davensculpture?" He snorted.
The green hazel-eyed boy snorted.
- "No." He shook his head. "Besides, it's Lena Luthor who paid and had the idea for the statues. They can only be great."
- "Oh, good because we know that dad paid a generous price for certain things to be much bigger than they are in that sculpture." The Captain cringed. "Uhg!" He said with disgust.
- "I know." Chase 2 frowned in disgust.
- "Wait, did you say Lena Luthor?" Chase asked.
- "Yeah." The genius boy nodded. "Why?"
- "Cuz she's awesome!" The Davenport man smiled.
- "I know!" The green hazel-eyed boy smiled back. "And she is SO nice and sweet. You wouldn't believe she's Lex Luthor's sister."
- "I Know." The Captain pointed to a bookshelf full of comics. "Even in this universe, it's unbelievable."
- "Right. You only have the comic books here." Chase 2 nodded.
- "Yup. That's Harp's collection." Chase explained. "Except for the shelf with the Spider-Man comics." He chuckled. "Those are all mine."
- "Best superhero ever." The genius boy said.
- "Right!" The Davenport man smiled widely. "The king of superheroes." He nodded.
- "Totally." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled.
- "Dude, Lena Luthor is going to honor you with a statue, and you're not excited?" The Captain asked.
The smile of Chase 2 dropped.
- "It's too much." He shook his head.
- "Oh, stop. A statue isn't too much." Chase said. "Okay, that Harper said the exact same thing when I wanted to make a statue of myself in the city because 'You're just like your father'." He imitated Harper's voice. "But It's not that much."
He shrugged. This fact is just to light his mood, the idea wasn't exactly a statue.
- "It is." The genius boy nodded. "Mads totally deserves it. She ended all of this and fought Supergirl and Superman. And she won. Everyone fought in the streets during the fight. I was in the lab." He explained. "I don't deserve this statue. It's pointless. And it just gives Adam and Bree more reasons to make fun of me." He sighed.
- "Alright, why were you in the lab?" The Davenport man asked.
- "To find a cure for Mon-El." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
- "And you think that's irrelevant?" The Captain asked.
- "It was nothing." Chase 2 shrugged. "I just mixed chemicals together."
- "Oh, you say that like anyone could do that." Chase scoffed. "There are people out there winning the Nobel Prize for 'mixing chemicals together' are you saying their prize is pointless?" He raised an eyebrow.
- "No." The genius boy frowned. "They do more important stuff than this."
- "There's no such thing. Helping people is always honorable, no matter if it's one or thousands." The Davenport man said. "I'm sure Lena did this not just for that day but for your entire life as a hero." He said.
- "Maybe." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. "Doesn't change the fact that Adam and Bree say that I didn't do anything like usual to deserve this statue."
- "They say that?" The Captain turned to him.
- "All the time." Chase 2 shrugged.
- "Woah, Woah, Woah." Chase said. "What do you mean 'all the time'." He shrugged, imitating him. "What the hell is this?" He frowned.
- "What?" The genius boy looked at him.
- "Are you okay with this?" The Davenport man asked.
- "I'm used to it." The green hazel-eyed boy shrugged, looking away. "Eighteen years of hearing stuff like that. It's no big deal."
The Captain looked at the wall where he kept his guitars thoughtfully.
- "Pick the ugliest guitar?" He pointed.
- "What?" Chase 2 frowned, looking back at him.
- "Yeah, so I know which one is the most disposable, so I can smack some sense into your head with It." Chase said seriously.
The genius boy scoffed.
- "Tell me you're kidding." The Davenport man said.
- "I'm not." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
- "Chase..." The Captain sighed. "Don't do that." He shook his head.
- "Do what?" Chase 2 frowned at him.
- "Accepting that they say that about you. As if it were true." Chase frowned and shook his head.
The genius boy sighed and looked away. It is true.
- "Oh, you believe them." The Davenport man leaned his arm on the back of the couch, frowning.
- "No." The green hazel-eyed boy lied as he shook his head.
- "That's why you're so worried and doubting yourself, you believe them." The Captain said indignantly.
Chase 2 shook his head, looking at his hands, as his eyes watered. Don't cry. Don't cry.
- "Chase, none of this is true." Chase leaned towards him.
- "I know." The genius boy lied again.
- "No, you don't." The Davenport man shook his head firmly. "If you knew, I wouldn't be here in this dream."
The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. He's right.
The Captain raised his eyebrow.
- "They're right. My powers and I are useless when the team is full of people with much more useful powers. I'm not even a leader anymore. I'm useless to the team." Chase 2 said.
Chase sighed and shook his head indignantly.
- "And Mads is easily as smart as me. They don't need my brain, either." The genius boy shrugged.
- "What the fuck are you talking about?" The Davenport man asked angrily.
- "What?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "I never thought I'd hear so much shit from myself." The Captain shook his head.
- "Language twice." Chase 2 said.
- "Fuck the language when you're the one talking the biggest nonsense here." Chase said indignantly.
The genius boy scoffed, crossing his arms.
- "Chase, you are not useless. You are the most powerful of all your siblings. Because you can do everything they can and more." The Davenport man explained. "You are capable of so much more than they will ever be able to."
- "It's like hearing Mads." The green hazel-eyed boy looked down.
- "And has she ever been wrong?" The Captain raised an eyebrow.
Chase 2 took a deep breath.
- "No." He sighed.
- "So, And I know you just met me, but I'm rarely wrong either." Chase smiled smugly.
- "Mads was right. You are cocky." The genius boy snorted.
The Davenport man rolled his eyes.
- "Maybe but I know I'm right because what I just told you is a fact. It's been proven." He said.
- "You said it yourself, we're not the same." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
- "We're the same until we're 18." The Captain said.
- "Except that you met Harper, and I met Mads." Chase 2 added.
- "It doesn't change who we are deep down." Chase shook his head.
- "Okay." The genius boy leaned back on the couch.
- "Chase, no one can tell you who you are. You can't let them determine who you believe you are." The Davenport man shook his head.
- "Mmm." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Man, I'm serious." The Captain frowned.
- "I know you are." Chase 2 nodded.
- "But you're not taking me seriously." Chase said.
- "How?" The genius boy asked.
- "You believe those who talk shit about you more than you believe yourself." The Davenport man pointed to himself.
- "Like you said, you're another me. We're not the same person." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "And language."
- "I'm talking about you too." The Captain pointed at him. "You don't believe in yourself because you let other people shape your opinion of yourself when no one will know you as well as you know yourself." He frowned.
- "Mads knows me better than I know myself." Chase 2 shrugged.
- "And she thinks you're amazing why it's so hard for you to believe her?" Chase frowned.
- "Because I heard all these insults too long not to believe them. Bree and mostly Adam insulted and belittled me too much. It got to me at some point, and it's not leaving anytime soon." The genius boy explained. "Mads knows that, and she tries to help me, but it's useless. I'm a lost cause."
The Davenport man stood up.
- "Don't call yourself a lost cause around ME." He pointed at himself, frowning. "You have no fucking idea what a lost cause is."
He clenched his jaw. I would give anything to go back to being who you are.
- "Sorry." The green hazel-eyed boy raised his hands. "Why do you want me to talk to you if you don't even listen?!" He got up. "I'm telling you how I feel. I don't need you to tell me that some people have it worse. I know that!" He shook his head. "I don't even know why I told you all of that." He stormed out of the room, trying to get as far from him as possible.
- "Shit." The Captain sighed and sat on the couch again.
I am a terrible person, aren't I? He buried his face in his hands.
- "I'm a lost cause." He murmured to himself.
You're so inflexible. I'm sick of it. He kept his head hanging.
Chase 2 walked down the stairs and stopped at the entry, looking at the pictures of his girlfriend with his older self and Harper. Why did I tell him all of that? This is ridiculous. He sighed.
Chase ran his hands over his face through his hair. I can't believe he feels that way, If there's a Chase who deserves to feel bad like that is me. He shook his head.
The genius boy rewound all the insults he had ever heard about himself as he slid down a wall, bringing his knees to his chest and buried his face in his hands.
The Davenport man started to bite his thumbnail. I must be dead inside to be such a mess. He shook his head. I'll never be what I was- what he is- ever again. It's gone. He closed his eyes.
The green hazel-eyed boy sighed as a couple tears ran down his cheeks. I don't deserve this statue. I didn't do anything. Adam and Bree are right. I'm useless and if I quit the team, nobody would see the difference.
The Captain looked at the door his younger self walked out of and ran his fingers over the scar.
- "I'm sorry if I'm going to let you down on this one." He said. "I know if you knew about this, you'd want me to help him. But I barely know how to help myself..." He said, kept his fingers on the scar. Thoughtful.
Get yourself together, Chase! Chase 2 pulled his face away from his hands and wiped his tears with the sleeves of his flannel.
- "What am I doing?" Chase stood up. "Clearly that's what we're here for." He took a step towards the door. "Maybe I don't feel like I'm what the boy needs but if I'm here it's for a reason right?" He frowned.
The genius boy looked up at the pictures. How did you fell for me? I'm pathetic!
- "I should help him." The Davenport man said firmly.
Yeah, you should. Spike said in his head.
- "Shut up this dream is not about you." The Captain pointed at his own reflection.
I helped you today, didn't I? His commando app replied.
- "Yeah, but you're not going to help now. I can't even believe you can interfere in my dreams too." Chase rolled his eyes. "Get Lost!" He added, Spike raised his hands.
So, stop talking to yourself, you sound like a crazy person. He smirked.
The green hazel-eyed boy continued to look at his girlfriend's face. How did you fell for someone so ugly and weak when you are so beautiful and strong? A tear ran down his face. There's something really wrong with you, baby. He sniffled.
Just because you're all fucked up doesn't mean you have to take it out on the kid. His commando app said.
- "Wow You're really helping." The Davenport man said sarcastically.
Look I'm the only one here seeing the situation from the outside, it seems like you always need to screw up first to realize your own problems. Spike crossed his arms.
- "When did you graduate in psychology?" The Captain said annoyed.
I'm part of your psychology, it's not that hard to see the obvious. His commando app shrugged, and Chase sighed.
Chase 2 let out a shaky breath. What did I do to deserve someone as amazing as you? He sniffled.
Now go and do your job, Mate. Spike said. I'm here if you need me.
- "Thanks...Mate." The Davenport man smirked, and his commando app smiled at him.
He sighed and walked out of the room.
The genius boy wiped his tears as he heard steps getting closer. Crap. He got up and took a deep breath.
The Captain walked down the stairs with his hands in his pockets.
- "I think I got it." He said as he walked into the living room.
The green hazel-eyed boy frowned and looked at him.
- "We're just here scratching our heads about who should help who and stuff..." Chase explained.
- "Okay. And?" Chase 2 asked.
- "And that questioning is pointless, since it's both of us who need help." The Davenport man sighed.
- "How so?" The genius boy questioned.
- "I don't know yet." The Captain shook his head. "But I wasn't quite honest with you." He turned and went to the window.
- "Yeah, I know." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "I had a bad day." Chase said. "Bad day is an understatement. I had a hell of a day, with real demons and the worst of them fighting right beside me." He said, looking out the window.
- "Oh." Chase 2 replied and walked closer to him. "Mads doesn't tell me everything you guys talk about, but she told me about him being back in your life." He sighed. "I'm sorry."
The Davenport man sighed.
- "You caught me on a day when I'm feeling like shit." He confessed. "Like.... maybe I'm the villain, and I'm the one who's ruining everything." He sighed.
- "I don't believe that for a second." The genius boy shook his head.
- "Because you don't know the whole story." The Captain said quietly. "I'm...Worse than the current version of him."
- "Impossible." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "He begged me for forgiveness and I... I ignored it." Chase lowered his head. "I haven't forgiven him, because... I can't...." He closed his eyes. "Maybe I'm too ruthless." He said, with guilty.
- "No, you're not." Chase 2 shook his head. "He hurt you, and it's not because he apologized that you have to forgive him. And to be honest, he doesn't deserve it."
- "I've seen Harp forgive the biggest son of a bitch I've ever seen in my life, just so she wouldn't have to live with the guilt. And I can't even do that." The Davenport man shook his head.
- "Everyone is different." The genius boy shrugged. "She forgave that person because she felt like she needed to do it for herself. You don't feel that. And that's perfectly okay. You cannot forgive all the people who hurt you. You can't accept Sebastian's apology? So be it. It won't change your life. You'll continue to see him anyway. That you forgive him or not, you will never stop thinking about what he did to you. So, you're not a bad person for this." He put his hand on his shoulder. "You're just human."
The Captain looked out the window.
- "I was never the same after the things he did." He shook his head. "I will never forgive him because I have not forgiven myself." He grumbled. "It's complicated." He glanced briefly at his younger self.
- "Forgive yourself for what?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned, confused.
- "For a lot of things." Chase said and looked at him, sadly.
- "Okay." Chase 2 nodded with a frown. "I won't push." He took his hand off him.
- "You don't want to know." The Davenport man shook his head.
- "Why not?" The genius boy asked.
- "You won't see me the same way." The Captain said.
The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
Chase looked down and started fiddling with his bracelets.
- "I don't think I could ever see you in a bad way." Chase 2 replied. "I only hear compliments about you."
And I already love you too much for everything you did for Mads. He thought.
The Davenport man looked at him with a soft.
- "Yeah?" He frowned.
- "Mostly from Mads." The genius boy smiled softly. "But don't tell her I told you that, because she said that it would go to your head, and you would tease her about it."
The Captain chuckled faintly.
- "Don't worry." He said.
- "Thanks." The green hazel-eyed boy snickered.
- "Yeah well, every story has two sides." Chase said, looking out the window again.
- "I still don't believe you're the villain or the one ruining everything." Chase 2 replied.
- "I also don't believe you don't deserve that statue." The Davenport man replied, keeping his eyes on the beach.
The genius boy sighed and looked out the window.
- "See the point?" The Captain said.
- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "What's wrong with us?" Chase frowned.
- "A lot of stuff." Chase 2 replied.
- "You have no Idea." The Davenport man said.
- "I know." The genius boy nodded. "You know that if you ever want to talk, I'm here, and I won't judge you."
- "Thanks." The Captain said. "Me too, although I know I didn't seem understanding before, but it's because..." He sighed.
- "Because?" The green hazel-eyed boy raised his eyebrows.
- "I was feeling terrible, so much so that it was hard to accept that you could be feeling bad too, and I took it out on you." Chase explained. "I'm sorry."
- "Don't be." Chase 2 shook his head. "It's okay."
- "You didn't deserve it, I just made you feel worse." The genius boy said.
- "I'm okay." The genius boy replied. "I promise." He nodded. "It's not your fault. I know you were just trying to help, and I lashed out on you for no reason. I'm sorry."
- "I think the universe trapped us both here because we're both difficult." The Captain smirked faintly.
The green hazel-eyed boy snorted.
- "Yeah, maybe." He said.
Chase walked to the kitchen.
- "And we'll only get out of here if we accept this and..." He sighed. "Sort It out, at least a little bit."
- "Mads and Harper's dream didn't last that long." Chase 2 sighed. "We're way more difficult, apparently."
- "From what Harp said, they were pretty straight to the point." The Davenport man said. "Yeah, we're much more complicated." He walked around the kitchen counter.
- "Yep." The genius boy smiled softly.
- "Okay." The Captain sat at the counter. "We can start over." He smiled gently.
The green hazel-eyed boy sat next to him.
- "How so?" He asked.
- "Look, I can't believe you feel this way." Chase shook his head. "If there's a Chase who would feel this way. It should be me. There's nothing wrong with you." He said. "I'm the one who doesn't deserve all the recognition I get..." He sighed.
- "And I can't believe you feel this way." Chase 2 replied.
- "I feel this way because this is the consequence of things I did and regret. Bad things." The Davenport man explained. "You didn't do anything wrong."
- "I did." The genius boy sighed.
- "What?" The Captain asked.
- "Krane." The green hazel-eyed boy said. "I killed him."
Chase's expression darkened, and he stared ahead in silence, his jaw clenching.
Chase 2 sighed.
- "I know." He looked at his rings.
- "I don't want to talk about it." The Davenport man said, staring into space.
- "Never said you wanted to." The genius boy replied.
- "I get it. What I mean is that still...you don't deserve to go through this." The Captain shook his head.
- "Neither do you." The green hazel-eyed boy looked at him.
- "But still I did more to deserve this than you did." Chase said.
- "I'm sure that whatever you did, it doesn't make you a bad person." Chase 2 replied. "Otherwise, Mads wouldn't even give you the time of day. But she does. She talks to you, she texts you, she calls you, she answers your texts and calls, she laughs with you, she cares for you." He smiled softly. "If you were half as bad as you think you are, she wouldn't."
The Davenport man sighed.
- "It's just that I'm haunted by everything I've done every day, whether it's rumors, conversations, dreams, nightmares...People." He explained. "And I..." He buried his face in his hands.
- "Hey..." The genius boy put his hand on his back. "It's okay."
- "It's not." The Captain said, his voice muffled. "For both of us."
- "We'll be okay." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "You have Harper, and I have Mads. They are here for us." He patted his back. "And you have Mads too."
- "I know." Chase looked at him. "But these are the kind of problems they can't solve." He said. "The only ones who can solve this are us, Chase." He said seriously.
- "I know that." Chase 2 nodded and pulled his hand away. "But having support is also the key to healing."
- "I know that, but it's not enough, apparently." The Davenport man shook his head. "So much so that it's taking a dream for us to face it."
- "I already faced it before." The genius boy sighed. "Mia made me talk about it a couple of hours ago."
- "But you didn't change your mind." The Captain said.
- "Nope." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head.
- "Why?" Chase asked.
- "I just don't believe it." Chase 2 shrugged.
- "Chase." The Davenport man shook his head. "Don't do that to yourself." He said.
- "It's already too deep inside me." The genius boy sighed. "I can't believe otherwise. Not after all this time."
- "That's not true." The Captain said. "I know." He pointed to himself. "It's never too late for you to change the way you see yourself, no matter how hard it is."
- "Yeah, well, I don't know how." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head. "Mads and I have been trying to change the way I see myself for years. And it doesn't work. If anything, Adam and Bree are meaner sometimes, and it just makes me think worse about myself."
- "Your Adam and Bree are immature." Chase said. "No offense."
Chase 2 chuckled softly.
- "None taken." He replied.
- "They are, I know because I saw them grow up. Everything changed because...they started to see things our way." The Davenport man explained. "Deep down they admired you and if they put you down it's because they're afraid they'll never get close to what you are." He said.
The genius boy snorted.
- "Right." He replied.
- "I'm serious, Adam told me that he always teased me because he was immature and didn't know how to deal with how much I stood out to him in many things. And that he did it to take his mind off the fact that maybe he would never make me proud." The Captain said.
- "No offense, but your Adam isn't mine." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head.
- "I don't see much difference in this regard." Chase said.
- "You never met him." Chase 2 replied.
- "No, but I met your Bree, and my Bree met your Bree, and she realized it too." The Davenport man explained.
- "If you say so." The genius boy shrugged.
- "She said it's sad, but your Bree will probably regret everything she says about you. Because she does, she really regrets the friendship we could have built since we were kids, and we didn't because she and Adam were too childish to realize." The Captain said.
- "Mmm." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded, not believing. "I love them, and they are right anyway. So, I don't blame them. And I got used to it. The only person who is bothered by this is Mads. She can get so mad at them sometimes. And I know that she's not fully angry. I'm scared of the day she will be. Because she told me, four years ago, that the bottom of her heart was filled with insults that would hurt their feelings. So, the day she's gonna let out her anger completely, because it's gonna happen, I can feel it, she's gonna snap. It's gonna be explosive, and nothing will ever be the same afterward."
- "I know, But I'm not going to lie, I'm starting to get angry about this too." Chase said seriously.
- "Yeah, I can see that." Chase 2 nodded. "Let's keep you away from them. They already have enough with Mads."
- "I don't let people talk badly about me or people I care about." Chase said firmly. "And you shouldn't either."
- "I don't let people talk badly about the people I love." The genius boy replied. "But me? It's not important."
- "You're as important as anyone else. I learned the hard way to see myself as I really am, not as others draw me." The Captain said.
- "I don't know how to do that." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "It's not that hard once you let yourself see it." Chase said. "Embrace what you always wanted to be, not the limits that others impose on you."
- "I'll try." Chase 2 replied.
The Davenport man tilted his head, not believing.
- "I can't make the promise that I will succeed." The genius boy sighed.
- "You're strong enough to try until you succeed." The Captain put his hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't easy for me either."
- "You don't believe anything they said to you anymore?" The green hazel-eyed boy looked at him with tears in his eyes, looking at him with hope of one day stopping feeling this way.
- "No. They don't have the nerve to tell me a lies like that anymore." Chase said. "And I've heard much worse things than simple insults.... If I were to take seriously everything I've heard, I would have disappeared by now." He shook his head.
- "Okay." Chase 2 nodded. "I hope I'll be able to stop caring about their insults one day. Because I'm used to it, but..." He looked down. "It hurts so much every time." A single ran down his cheek, and he quickly wiped it.
- "I didn't say it didn't hurt." Chase shook his head. "But what happens up here." He pointed to his head. "Hurts a lot more. Still." He admitted.
The genius boy sighed.
- "I get panic attacks just because I start questioning myself. 'What if...?' is the question that pops into my head seconds before everything falls apart." The Captain explained.
- "I'm sorry." The green hazel-eyed boy said.
- "I'm just saying that I understand, It's not easy, it's a battle. But you don't have to live like this." Chase explained. "If I can get over it, why can't you?"
Chase 2 shrugged.
- "Yeah, there is no answer. Because you are just as capable as me." The Davenport man explained.
- "I hope so." The genius boy sighed.
- "You have to believe me." The Captain put his hand on his shoulder.
The green hazel-eyed boy looked at him and nodded.
Chase softened his gaze to his younger self.
- "If you can't accept that statue because you think you don't deserve it and that the people in your universe don't respect you enough for you to deserve that statue..." He started. "Take it for me. Because I think you deserve it. Look at it like this...as a symbol of the respect that I, and Maddie, and Harper-- Because I know she has-- have for you." He smiled gently. "See that as more than enough."
Chase 2 smiled with tears in his eyes.
- "Thank you." He said.
- "You're welcome." The Davenport man said and patted him on the back. "Think about that when you look at that statue. That you deserve it, it's an official decree..." He pointed to himself smugly. "Even if it's on the other side of the universe, that's not meaningless, not even close." He shook his head.
The genius boy smiled.
- "Very meaningful." He nodded.
- "And if anyone says anything about it, I'll go over there and rub the official decree in their face." The Captain added with a smirk.
- "Honestly, I don't know if it's better for them that Mads takes care of them or you." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned, amused.
- "Well." Chase shrugged.
- "I'm gonna say neither." Chase 2 chuckled softly.
- "Sometimes things can get really out of hand with me." The Davenport man nodded.
- "Yeah, with her too." The genius boy looked away with wide eyes.
- "And don't get me started on Harper." The Captain chuckled lightly.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled.
- "Perry is afraid of Harper, so she's not easy either." Chase said.
- "Oh boy." Chase 2 snickered.
- "But seriously, you deserve it." The Davenport man smiled gently. "I think so. Don't contradict me." He raised his eyebrow.
- "Yes, sir." The genius boy, sarcastically, saluted.
The Captain laughed gently and patted him on the back.
- "That's It." He smiled proudly.
- "Sorry, I think I spend a little too much time with Mads and Mon-El." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled. "Every time I tell them something, they answer that."
- "Yeah, I hear that a lot too." Chase said.
Chase 2 nodded.
- "But that's because it's protocol for them to do that." The Davenport man shrugged smugly.
- "Okay." The genius boy replied. "It's not for Mon-El. It's just because he spends too much time with his sister. And Mads it started because I sarcastically tell her 'yes, ma'am'." He chuckled softly. "We just tease each other like that."
- "That's cute." The Captain said.
- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy blushed slightly.
Chase sighed and looked around.
- "Are you feeling better?" He asked.
- "I do." Chase 2 nodded. "Thank you."
- "You're welcome." The Davenport man said. "But we're still here." He sighed, thoughtful.
- "Maybe the universe just wants us to get to know each other better." The genius boy shrugged.
The Captain chuckled.
- "Alright." He shook his head and looked away.
The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "How long do you think we're gonna stay here?" He asked.
- "I don't know, I've never had a therapy session from the universe before." Chase crossed his arms and leaned back in the seat.
- "Me neither." Chase 2 said. "Usually, I have one at home."
- "Yeah, I figured." The Davenport man started tapping the counter with his fingers.
- "It's good talking to you, though." The genius boy replied. "I get why Mads called you after the fight with Rhea."
The Davenport man frowned in confusion.
- "Really? I thought I was being terrible in this conversation; how do you think this is good?" He asked.
- "Because it is." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned. "You're good with words. It helped me."
- "Really? Harper says I use too many metaphors, and sometimes people don't want to hear that." Chase said.
- "Well, this time you didn't." Chase 2 shook his head.
- "Yeah, I do that with Maddie." The Davenport man sighed and stood up.
- "What do you say?" The genius boy asked.
- "I use metaphors when I don't know how to express myself." The Captain explained.
- "Why don't you know how to express yourself with her?" The green hazel-eyed boy questioned.
- "It's complicated." Chase said.
- "Meaning?" Chase 2 raised his eyebrows.
- "I don't know what I want to express." The Davenport man explained.
- "Okay..." The genius boy got up. "Let's start simple. What do you feel when you see her?"
- "Oh Okay." The Captain walked over to the fridge. "You're taking the therapy thing too seriously." He shook his head.
- "Just answer the question, Chase." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
- "I don't see where that's relevant." Chase opened the fridge.
- "Well, you say that you don't know how to express yourself with her. And you're not with her right now, so just try." Chase 2 shrugged. "What do you feel when you see her?" He repeated.
The Davenport man rolled his eyes and grabbed a can from the fridge.
- "Want something? It's a dream, I can literally get anything out of here." He smirked.
The genius boy rolled his eyes. Changing the subject.
- "No, thanks." He shook his head.
- "Alright then." The Captain shrugged.
- "So?" The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "You're just gonna ignore my question?"
- "I don't have an answer to It." Chase lied as he opened the can.
- "If you say so." Chase 2 scoffed.
- "Okay, if you think it's so easy, tell me what you feel when you see her?" The Davenport man took a sip, with a smirk.
- "Joy." The genius boy replied.
And an infinite number of butterflies. He thought.
- "Oh, Just It?" The Captain said, raising his eyebrow.
- "Gratitude, too." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Oh Yeah, gratitude." Chase snorted before taking another sip.
- "Yes, gratitude." Chase 2 frowned. "You have no idea how grateful I am to have her in my life and by my side. And to know that she always has my back."
- "Got It." The Davenport man nodded.
The genius boy looked around.
- "Just It." The Captain smiled.
- "Yes." The green hazel-eyed boy lied.
- "Mm-hmm." Chase smirked.
Chase 2 nodded and looked away. Mads was right, he guesses too easily.
- "Right, I know what kind of gratitude she makes you feel." The Davenport man took another sip.
The genius boy blushed slightly. Did he mean...?
- "Yeah, you know what I'm talking about." The Captain smiled.
- "Because she's my best friend." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "Yeah, Friends with benefits, for sure." Chase muttered.
- "What?" Chase 2 blushed brightly.
- "Sorry, I said friends with benefits." The Davenport man said.
- "No." The genius boy shook his head, his cheeks bright red. "Just friends. Well, more like family."
- "No, I get it, Harper is my best friend and my family too." The Captain nodded. "But you know, she's just the family member I sleep with." He smirked, shrugging.
- "Oh my god." The green hazel-eyed boy looked at him with wide eyes. "I don't... I don't do that with Mads."
- "Oh, you don't sleep with her then..." Chase frowned, mockingly. "You just have sex with her and sleep somewhere else? That's kind of weird." He mocked.
- "No, I don't have sex with her." Chase 2 frowned as he lied.
- "Oh, stop, I wasn't born yesterday." The Davenport man took another sip.
- "You're delusional." The genius boy scoffed.
- "Do you think I don't know my own face after losing my virginity?" The Captain mocked. "I do, I don't know what changes exactly, but something changes."
- "Oh my god." The green hazel-eyed boy blushed brightly. "Mads was right. You are pushy with this."
- "Because no one admits I'm right." Chase shrugged. "Plus, it's fun." He chuckled.
- "It's not fun." Chase 2 shook his head. "And you're wrong."
- "Maybe not for you." The Davenport man said. "But I understand you, I lied to everyone when I started sleeping with Harp."
- "I'm not sleeping with Mads." The genius boy frowned. "We're not even together." He lied.
- "And then I'm the one who's a terrible liar." The Captain said.
The green hazel-eyed boy rolled his eyes.
- "I'm not lying." He replied.
- "You and Maddie can't fool me on this one." Chase shook his head.
- "Believe what you want." Chase 2 said, his face burning red.
- "Why don't you guys trust me?" The Davenport man frowned. "I'm starting to get offended." He crossed his arms.
- "It's not that we don't trust you." The genius boy replied. "It's just that there is nothing to say. Mads is my best friend. That's it."
- "Bullshit." The Captain muttered.
The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. I want to tell him so bad.
- "I thought the point of this was to be honest with each other." Chase said.
Chase 2 frowned, thoughtful. What I supposed to do?
- "Okay, I'm sick of staying here, come on." The Davenport man crushed the can and threw it in the trash as he walked towards the door.
Now is not the time to tell the truth about Mads. The genius boy thought.
- "Mads is just my friend." He replied.
- "You don't have to lie." The Captain walked to the door. "If you don't want to tell, don't tell, it's that simple."
- "Okay." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded.
- "But you have to accept that I'm not going to change my mind." Chase smiled.
- "Yeah, Mads and I got that." Chase 2 chuckled softly. "It's been seven months since she told you that we were back in the same universe. And it's been seven months that you don't believe her."
- "Because I know you guys were together as soon as you Found each other again." The Davenport man smiled.
The genius boy smiled widely, looking away, as his cheeks reddened.
- "Are you going to stay there or...?" The Captain pointed outside, standing at the door.
The green hazel-eyed boy followed him outside, but something had changed.
The horizon was fading.
- "I think it's the end." He said.
- "Yeah, I figured." Chase sighed and crossed his arms.
- "It was nice meeting you." Chase 2 smiled softly. "I hope one day we can meet in real life."
The Davenport man looked at him softly.
- "Same, I enjoyed talking to you." He smiled. "Although I wasn't at my best, I needed it somehow."
- "Same." The genius boy stepped closer and hugged him. "Thank you for... Everything you did for Mads and for me."
The Captain's eyes widened briefly in surprise.
- "Uh..." He said, blushing slightly.
He doesn't seem to think I'm inflexible or dead inside. He thought.
- "Mads said that you and Harper were the cause of most of her smiles before she got us back." The green hazel-eyed boy tightened his grip. "So, thank you."
Chase sighed and slowly surrendered to his embrace.
- "You're welcome..." He whispered and closed his eyes. "But I'm the one who thanks you." He said.
- "For what?" Chase 2 frowned.
- "This." The Davenport man replied softly, closing his eyes shut, tightening the hug.
The genius boy smiled softly.
- "You're welcome." He whispered.
The Captain took a deep breath as a single tear rolled down his cheek. I wish I was as good as him, as calm as him. I miss being like that.
- "If, one day, Mads and I dated and told people..." The green hazel-eyed boy started. "You would be the first person we tell."
Then Tell me already. Chase smiled softly and walked away slowly, wiping the tear.
- "Thanks." He said, and sniffled.
- "You're welcome." Chase 2 smiled softly as he started to disappear. "Bye, Chase."
- "Bye, Chase." The Davenport man saluted him.
The genius boy smiled and disappeared completely from the dream.
The Captain smiled back and waved at his younger self.

Universe 314
The Captain woke up to Newton, patting his face and meowing.
He slowly opened his eyes and defended himself from the cat's paws.
- "Newton, Stop." Chase chuckled.
That was when the Captain heard a soft laugh beside him and saw Newton being lifted off of him.
- "Okay, New, your alarm clock function has been fulfilled." Harper said, putting the cat away.
Newton meowed and ran off.
The General looked at her fiancé and smiled, leaning towards him.
- "Good morning." She said softly.
- "Good morning, Darling." Chase stretched as his fiancée leaned her arms on his chest.
- "Did you sleep well?" Harper asked.
The Captain smiled wildly.
- "Yes..." He replied.
- "What were you dreaming about?" The General asked as she began to fix his hair.
- "How did you know I was dreaming?" Chase frowned as he asked.
- "Because you were talking in your sleep." Harper replied.
- "What?" The Captain frowned.
- "Yeah, but relax, this wasn't one of the times you did this, and it was something compromising." The General laughed softly.
- "And there were times when it was?!" Chase's eyes widened.
Harper shrugged coyly.
The Captain pressed his lips together in frustration.
- "What did you hear?" He asked his fiancée.
- "Loose words phases like: 'You have no fucking idea what a lost cause is' or 'Embrace what you always wanted to be, not the limits that others impose on you' or 'You deserve It'." The General quoted. "And the part where 'Harper is my best friend and my family too. But you know, she's just the family member I sleep with'." She smiled confusedly.
- "Ahg did you hear all that?" Chase asked.
- "Have you had worse dreams like the one where you said: 'Don't worry, Tom Cruise. I'll be your stunt double'." Harper snickered.
The Captain frowned in confusion.
- "Look, do you remember that you and Maddie met in a dream?" He asked.
- "Yes, I needed her and there she was." The General said.
- "So, I met her Chase in my dream." Chase smiled.
- "Really?!" Harper smiled widely in surprise.
- "Yeah." The Captain smiled gently. "And the dream was... great." He said.
- "That's amazing, Chay." The General said, running her fingers along his chin. "What did you think of him?" She asked expectantly.
- "He is..." Chase smiled gently. "He's amazing. He's understanding and kind..." He started.
- "Yeah, you're literally describing yourself." Harper nodded.
- "No." The Captain shook his head. "He's not like me. He's better." He said thoughtfully.
- "Oh, Chay." The General tilted her head in pity, caressing his chest.
- "It's true. He is..." Chase took a deep breath. "He is what I used to be. He is pure and full of life." He looked at the sunlight coming through the curtain.
- "Hey." Harper turned his face to her gently. "You're still like this, this is you." She said and kissed his cheek.
The Captain briefly closed his eyes and blushed with a small smile.
- "No, I'm not." He shook his head. "But it was nice talking to him. I admire what he is." He said thoughtfully.
The General smiled proudly and stroked his cheek as she laid on his chest.
- "I would do anything to protect him. So that the world doesn't break him like it did me." Chase said.
- "Chase, you and him aren't that different. You've just had different experiences than him, but you're like him to the core. Your hearts are equally good." Harper said their faces close to each other, breathing the same air. "You're the only one who doesn't see this." She said.
- "He doesn't see himself like me either." The Captain shook his head.
- "So, this proves even more that you are the same." The General smirked.
- "In the end, we both needed each other." Chase sighed.
- "Did this dream take all night?" Harper frowned.
- "Yeah, me and him are a lot more complicated than you and Maddie." The Captain said.
- "Evidently." The General chuckled. "I'm glad you guys met. You seem to be in a good mood today, that's a relief considering the mood you went to bed in last night." She said.
- "I am. This dream helped me." Chase smirked.
- "So, you're really in a good mood, huh?" Harper asked.
- "Uh...yes?" The Captain frowned.
- "Really?" The General asked by slowly opening his pajama shirt.
- "What are you thinking about?" Chase blushed, giving her a smirk.
- "Nothing." Harper said.
- "'Nothing'?" The Captain asked, his voice softening at her.
He pulled one of his legs over him, up to his hip.
- "Mm-hmm." The General closed the gap, her lips pressing gently against his.
Chase responded immediately, his hands resting on her waist as the kiss deepened.
As they pulled back from the kiss, their foreheads resting together.
- "Harper..." The Captain breathed out, his hands sliding down to hold her waist firmly. "I love you."
- "I love you too Chase." Harper let out a soft chuckle, her cheeks flushed as she gently kissed him back.

In the meanwhile, Chase stirred awake in his girlfriend's arms.
- "Good morning." He whispered as he turned in her arms to face her.
- "Good morning, my love." Maddie murmured.
The bionic boy smiled softly as he opened his eyes.
- "You were agitated in your sleep last night." The quadbrid brushed his hair off his forehead.
- "It was a good dream." The Davenport boy smiled widely.
The Matthews girl frowned slightly.
- "I met Chase." The green hazel-eyed boy said.
- "What?!" The blue-eyed girl exclaimed.
- "Yeah." Chase chuckled softly.
- "So?" Maddie asked with a smile. "How was it?"
- "It was awesome." The bionic boy replied. "We talked for a while."
- "That's amazing." The quadbrid said.
- "Apparently, he had spent the day with Sebastian, so he wasn't feeling good." The Davenport boy explained. "And I felt insecure about the statue. We helped each other."
- "That's great." The Matthews girl rolled on her back, pulling him on top of her. "So, you don't feel like you don't deserve the statue anymore?"
The green hazel-eyed boy pressed his lips together, thoughtful.
- "No." He shook his head. "He's right. I've been a hero my entire life, I deserve a recognition. I deserved this." He caressed her collarbone gently.
- "That's what I told you." The blue-eyed girl smiled softly as she ran her fingers through his hair.
- "I know." Chase smiled back. "But now, I actually feel it."
Maddie smiled widely.
- "I'm not saying that I'm not insecure anymore. But what concerns the statue, I'm not anymore." The bionic boy said.
- "I'm happy." The quadbrid replied. "What else did you talk about?"
- "I thanked him for he did for you." The Davenport boy explained. "And he also made comments about us." He blushed slightly.
- "Oh my god." The Matthews girl closed her eyes.
- "I turned red." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "This is why I was apprehensive of you meeting him." The blue-eyed girl chuckled and looked into his eyes. "What did he say exactly?"
- "That we're sleeping together, having sex, that I lost my virginity, and that we were together since we found each other again." Chase listed. "I tried to tell him that we're just friends, and he answered: 'friends with benefits'." He blushed brighter.
- "I told you he was like that." Maddie snorted.
- "I know." The bionic boy chuckled softly. "But I told him that if one day we started dating and told people, he would be the first one to know."
- "I agree." The quadbrid nodded. "When we start to tell people, we'll tell him first."
- "He thinks that we don't trust him." The Davenport boy said.
- "Oh." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Should we tell people?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked.
- "Um..." The blue-eyed girl thought for a moment. "After Halloween passed. I just want one last party without them hovering us."
Chase nodded and leaned closer, kissing her lips gently.
- "After Halloween, it is." He said.
Maddie nodded with a smile.
- "I can't wait to scream to everyone that..." The bionic boy sat up, his knees on each side of her thighs. "Maddison Roxana Matthews is my girlfriend!" He shouted.
The quadbrid laughed softly and sat up.
- "And..." She cleared her throat. "Chase William Davenport is my boyfriend!" She yelled.
The Davenport boy blushed brightly as he smiled widely.
- "I love you." He cupped her face with both hands and pulled into a slow kiss.
The Matthews girl cupped his face as well and broke the kiss.
- "I love you." She said.
The green hazel-eyed boy pecked her lips again.
The blue-eyed girl smiled and laid back, pulling him with her.
Chase nuzzled his face into her clothed chest.
- "I'm glad you met him though." Maddie added.
- "Me too." The bionic boy nodded.
The quadbrid massaged his scalp gently.

A few minutes later, the three heroes walked into the D.E.O.
- "And just when exactly were you gonna notify us that you had a Daxamite war ship in your possession?" J'onn said, angrily, on the phone. "Alien artifacts are the D.E.O.'s purview. "You can rest assured I will talk to the President, General Lane." The trio and Winn walked up to him. "And if anything happens as a result of your overreach, you mark my words, she'll have your stars."
Wow. Maddie smiled. I love my boss.
- "Respect!" The Schott man exclaimed.
- "Whilst I appreciate the nod of confidence, Agent Schott, do you have any words that might actually help me?" The J'onzz man asked.
- "Words, no. Pictures, definitely." The tech guy replied. "Um... I had the military supplier that DuBois robbed inventory what was taken. It turns out it was not just aluminum rods."
- "That's a high-pressure regulator." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Aluminum rods were just a cover. That was his real target." The green Martian continued.
- "What would DuBois need it for?" Kara crossed her arms.
- "Well, he also stole the cloaking device from the Daxamite ship." Winn added.
- "And how exactly do those two things go together?" Mon-El questioned.
Alex walked in.
- "With the regulator, he could stabilize the internal pressure of an F-18 or a B-52 to withstand the force emitted by a cloaking shield." She explained.
- "Able to retrofit it into a fully cloaked aircraft." The Schott man continued. "Our equipment would not be able to detect that. Not even Supergirl's or GreatGirl's X-ray visions could pick it up."
- "He could drop a nuke from the sky, and nobody in National City would even know he was overhead." The quadbrid added.
- "Oh my god." The younger Danvers looked at her with wide eyes.
- "Until it's too late." The Matthews man frowned.
- "Agent Schott, I want every flight in and out of National City scanned for munitions. Air and space." J'onn ordered.
- "Yes, sir." The tech guy walked away.
- "Alex, put your team on tactical alert." The J'onzz man continued.
- "Okay." The older Danvers nodded and walked away.
- "Maddie, notify the Elite Force and the academy." The green Martian added. "Tell them to be on high alert."
- "Got it." Maddie took out her phone and walked away with her boss.
- "And we can't do anything until they find something." The Kryptonian sighed.
- "We're gonna stop him." The Daxamite wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer, before kissing her forehead. Kara wrapped her arms around his back. "We got this, baby."
The Danvers woman sighed and closed her eyes.
- "We got this." She repeated.
Mon-El nodded.

A couple of minutes later, the siblings were in the living room, waiting for Leo and Adam.
They were coming for the unveiling and staying until after Halloween.
Maddie landed in the penthouse.
- "Did I miss their arrival?" She asked.
- "No." Chase shook his head. "They didn't arrive yet."
- "It's gonna be amazing!" Bree exclaimed. "They are staying for a week!"
- "I know." The quadbrid smiled.
Suddenly, the front door opened, and the two older brothers walked in.
- "Hello, people!" Leo yelled.
- "Hey, guys!" Adam shouted.
The trio rushed to them.
The original team hugged tightly.
- "Ugh, I missed you." The tall guy tightened his arms.
- "Too hard." The hybrid said with a strained voice.
The three youngest chuckled softly.
- "Sorry." The eldest broke the hug.
- "This is going to be amazing to have you here for a week." The genius boy said.
- "Totally." The middle brother nodded. "I can't wait for the Halloween Party. My costume is AWESOME!"
- "Mine too." The Davenport girl smiled. "It's a couple costume with Skylar."
- "Same." Leo nodded.
- "Xandar and I are gonna be zombies." Adam said.
- "I'm not telling you what my costume is." The Matthews girl shook her head.
- "Me neither." The green hazel-eyed boy added.
- "Speaking of Xandar..." Bree smirked.
The four youngest turned towards the tall guy with grins on their faces.
- "We're having lunch at his apartment." He blushed brightly.
- "Nice." Maddie smirked.
- "You really seem happy with him." The middle brother added.
- "I am." The eldest nodded.
- "So, what are you guys?" Chase asked.
- "For now, we still don't have a title." Adam shrugged. "But I'm gonna ask him to be my boyfriend."
- "Aw!" The girls, simultaneously, said.
- "That's great, buddy." Leo patted his back.
The genius boy smiled. I love Xandar. They are perfect for each other.
- "That's so cute!" The hybrid exclaimed.
- "He's so gonna say 'yes'." The quadbrid replied. "He talks about you all the time."
- "Really?" The tall guy turned redder.
- "Yes." The Matthews girl nodded.
- "That's..." The eldest started. "Fucking awesome!" He giggled.
- "Language." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
Adam rolled his eyes.
- "Wait." The middle brother raised his hands. "Did you just giggle?"
The tall guy blushed slightly.
- "No." He lied.
- "Yes, you did." The Davenport girl nodded.
- "No!" The eldest frowned.
- "Xandar talks about you all the time." Maddie repeated.
Adam giggled again, before covering his mouth with both hands.
- "HA!" Leo exclaimed. "You mocked me every time I giggle because of the Janelle."
- "He mocks me too." Bree said.
- "Me too." Chase added.
- "It's funny when I mock you, not when you mock me." The tall guy scoffed as he blushed brightly, before taking his bag and walking upstairs to his room.
- "You're gonna make yourself look pretty for Xandar?!" The quadbrid yelled after him.
- "Shut up!" The eldest replied.
The four youngest laughed.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, at noon, Adam handed his plate to Xandar.
- "Thank you." He washed the plate.
- "You're welcome." The Davenport man replied and started to walk around the apartment.
- "It's been a while since you came here." The Krillin man said.
- "I know." The bionic man nodded.
The Agotarian put the plate on the dish rack and dried his hands.
- "What's on your mind, handsome?" He asked.
- "Um..." Adam paused.
- "Adam..." Xandar walked up to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
- "You're reading my mind. You know what I want to ask." The Davenport man said, looking down at his feet, blushing slightly.
The Krillin man put his index under his chin and made him look at his eyes.
- "I know." He replied. "But I want you to ask me."
The bionic man blushed brighter.
- "Xandar..." He started. "Will you be my boyfriend?"
The Agotarian smiled widely.
- "With pleasure." He nodded.
Adam smiled back.
- "Cool." He said shyly.
- "Just kiss me." Xandar chuckled softly.
The Davenport man cupped his face and pulled him closer, pressing their lips together.
The Krillin man smiled into the kiss and put his hands into his hair.
The bionic man put his hands on his hips, pulling him closer.
The Agotarian groaned into the kiss as he felt his boyfriend's erection against his, before breaking the kiss.
- "Someone's eager." He smirked.
Adam blushed brighter and nodded.
- "What you want, baby?" Xandar slid his hand under his t-shirt, his fingertips grazing his abs.
The Davenport man moaned softly.
- "I want you." He chocked on his words. "I need you. Please."
The Krillin man, slightly, pulled back, before taking off his t-shirt.
The bionic man bit his lower lip as he admired his boyfriend's body.
- "Never understood the hype around firefighters until I met you." He said.
The Agotarian grinned.
- "You wanna see what this firefighter can do with his body?" He asked.
Adam nodded.
Xandar took off his belt.
The Davenport man looked at him, mesmerized as he slid down his pants, revealing the outline of his erection in his underwear, making him salivate.
- "You want it?" The Krillin man questioned.
- "Yes." The bionic man nodded.
The Agotarian put his hands on his hips.
- "Then take it." He said.
Adam's eyes widened.
- "I didn't mean it like that. But you're definitely gonna take it like that later." Xandar smirked.
The Davenport man blushed brightly and nodded with a smile.
The Krillin man took his underwear off, revealing his hard cock.
The bionic man smirked and dropped to his knees.
- "Go ahead, handsome." The Agotarian put his hands in his hair.
Adam looked up at him.
Xandar smiled.

In the meanwhile, Leo was finishing his plate.
- "That was delicious, Dee." He said.
- "Thanks." Maddie smiled softly.
- "I can't believe we're all gonna have statues." The Davenport boy replied.
- "Me neither." The Matthews girl sighed. "It's insane."
- "We all deserve it." The brown-eyed boy said.
- "I know." The quadbrid nodded. "It's just that we're gonna see those statues every day."
- "You're gonna see this handsome face every day." Leo gestured to his face.
Maddie snorted as she got up and put the dishes in the dishwasher.
- "It's gonna cause me nightmares." She said.
The Davenport boy gasped loudly.
- "Rude." He replied and threw a towel at her face.
The Matthews girl laughed as she caught the towel.
The brown-eyed boy smiled softly as he looked at her.
- "What?" The blue-eyed girl frowned.
- "It's just that it's been a while since we lived together." Leo said.
Maddie smiled softly.
- "I know." She nodded. "It's cool to live with you again, even if it's just for a week."
- "Totally." The Davenport boy walked closer to her.
- "I miss seeing your dumb face every day." The Matthews girl teased.
- "And I miss seeing your disappointing face every day." The brown-eyed boy said.
The blue-eyed girl snickered.
Leo chuckled softly.
Maddie wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
The Davenport boy put his arms around her back.
- "I love you, bro." The Matthews girl whispered.
- "I love you too, sis." The brown-eyed boy murmured.
The blue-eyed girl smiled into the hug, tightening her arms.

Later, in the beginning of the afternoon, Kara was sitting on her couch, watching Cat on TV while Mon-El was making popcorn so they would watch a movie.
- "The President did not place any listening devices in the speakers, the microwave, or his toaster, or his shoes." She said. "Or anywhere else on his premises or person. Now, sadly, I think we are so inured to the pathological lying of the speaker that, we just don't think anything he says is crazy anymore."
The Danvers woman chuckled softly as she texted Barry.
- "Here we go." The Matthews man sat next to her with the bowl of popcorn.
The Kryptonian smiled and put her phone down.
- "Thank you, babe." She said.
- "You're welcome." The Daxamite replied and laid back.
Kara snuggled to his side as she threw her legs over his lap.
Mon-El changed the channel and put on the movie.
- "This is nice." The Danvers woman whispered as she inhaled his perfume.
- "It is." The Matthews man nodded and tightened his arm around her as the other held the bowl of the popcorn.
- "I wish it could be like that all the time." The Kryptonian said.
- "I'm already here most of the time." The Daxamite replied.
- "I know." Kara pulled her head away to look into his eyes. "It's just that..."
- "What's on your mind?" Mon-El put a strand of hair behind her ear.
- "I want to live with you." The Danvers woman said, looking at their interlaced hands.
The Matthews man smiled widely.
- "You do?" He asked.
- "Yeah." The Kryptonian nodded. "What do you think?"
- "I think that..." The Daxamite pretended to think. "I would love to live with you." He grinned.
Kara's face lit up.
- "Really?" She questioned.
- "Really." Mon-El nodded.
The Danvers woman smiled and pecked his lips.
The Matthews man chuckled softly.
- "So, you're gonna move in?" The Kryptonian asked.
- "Yes." The Daxamite said. "I need to tell Rox."
- "Yeah." Kara nodded.
- "I hope she won't be too disappointed." Mon-El sighed.
- "Why would she be?" The Danvers woman asked.
- "Because she took the old apartment, and they invited me to the penthouse, so we would live together." The Matthews man replied. "It wasn't for long. I don't want her to be disappointed."
- "She won't be." The Kryptonian shook her head. "She's your sister. She'll be happy for you."
- "I know." The Daxamite sighed. "I just don't want her to feel abandoned."
- "Mon-El..." Kara cupped his face. "You didn't abandon her that day. Your mother abandoned her. It wasn't your fault. You never abandoned her. You stood by her side and had her back since you met her again last year. You are a good big brother, and I can guarantee you that she won't be disappointed or feel abandoned."
Mon-El nodded.
- "I hope so." He said. "I'll talk to her later."
- "Okay." The Danvers woman replied.
- "I'm happy to move in with you, though." The Matthews man smiled.
- "Me too." The Kryptonian smiled widely.
The Daxamite leaned in and kissed her lips gently.

A few minutes later, the childhood best friends were sitting on the couch, talking, when the doorbell rang.
- "I'll get it." Maddie super speeded to the door and opened it. "Alex, hi."
- "Hey." Alex walked in. "Hey, Leo."
- "Hey." Leo got up from the couch and walked up to them.
- "I'm guessing you have news on Bloodsport?" The Matthews girl asked.
- "Yeah." The Danvers woman nodded. "Bloodsport has the capability to cloak a nuke. We're thinking that he's gonna hit the statue unveiling at the waterfront. J'onn wants everyone there."
The childhood best friends looked at each other.
- "We'll be there." They, simultaneously, said.
- "We were going anyway." The Davenport boy shrugged.
- "And we'll tell the others." The quadbrid added.
- "Okay." The right hand nodded. "I'll get going. I need to tell Kara and Mon-El."
- "You want me to open a portal for you?" Maddie asked.
- "No, thanks." Alex shook her head. "I came with my car."
- "Okay." The Matthews girl nodded.
The Danvers woman opened the door.
- "See you later, Alex." The brown-eyed boy said.
- "See you." The right hand walked out, closing the door behind herself.
- "Well, that's gonna be fun." The quadbrid sighed.
- "Yep." Leo nodded.

Later, everyone was around the perimeter at the unveiling.
The Matthews siblings were a roof, while Supergirl and J'onn were on another roof across from them.
The Elite Force, Leo, and Adam were waiting next to the podium, since they could not mix with the crowd because of their fans.
Even though they could not move from their spots, Chase and Skylar used their telescopic vision to try and notice details on the attack.
He was also scanning the waterfront with his bionic eye.
Alex and Maggie were walking through the crowd, on across sides.
Mia and Ezra were in the crowd, looking at their boyfriends.
Sadly, Xandar had a shift at the fire station and could not come.
Valor looked at his sister.
- "Mmm..." He started. "Rox?"
- "Yeah?" GreatGirl looked at him.
- "I need to tell you something." The Matthews man said.
- "What's wrong?" The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Nothing." The Daxamite shook his head. "It's just that Kara asked me to move in with her and I said 'yes'."
The quadbrid looked at him with wide eyes.
- "I'm sorry if you feel disappointed by the fact that we won't live together anymore. Or if you feel abandoned." Valor continued. "It's not my purpose. And I..."
- "Stop!" GreatGirl smiled. "I'm super happy for you! That's amazing."
- "Really?" The Matthews man raised his eyebrows.
- "Yes!" The Matthews girl nodded. "You're gonna move in with your girlfriend, because you discovered love and are in a committed relationship. How could I not be happy for you?"
The Daxamite shrugged.
- "I'm so happy for you." The quadbrid said.
- "Thanks, Rox." Valor replied.
- "And even if we don't live under the same roof anymore, you are still my brother, and I love you so much." GreatGirl continued.
The Matthews man smiled widely and cupped her face, before kissing her forehead.
- "Thank you." He whispered.
- "You're welcome." The Matthews girl said.
- "And I love you so much, too." The Daxamite smiled softly.
The quadbrid smiled back.
Valor pulled back.
- "You two are my favorite siblings." Winn said in the comm. Set.
The siblings looked at each other, realizing that their comm. Sets were activated, and everyone heard their conversation.
- "Winn, shut up." GreatGirl replied and looked down at the rest of her family.
That was super cute. The genius boy smiled at his girlfriend.
The Matthews girl chuckled softly.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, on the ground, Alex was smiling at her fiancée when a twelve-year-old girl bumped into her as she ran.
She was a white 4'11 with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. Her name was Ruby Arias.
- "Oh, sorry!" She yelled as she continued to run.
- "Hey! Watch out there." The Danvers woman warned gently.
The mother ran after her daughter. She was a 5'9 white woman with brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her name was Samantha Arias.
- "Ruby!" She called out. "Rubes, come here, baby. Come here." Ruby walked to her mother. "I don't think that was an apology."
- "I'm very sorry for bumping into you." She said.
- "Totally okay." The right hand smiled softly. "Thank you for apologizing."
- "Can I go now, Mom?" The Arias girl asked. "I want to get up close." She ran away.
- "Just don't get so far ahead I can't see you, okay?" The Arias woman called out.
- "She's fun." Alex smiled.
- "Thanks." The mother nodded. "Just trying to enjoy the microsecond I have left before she's a teenager. Bye." She walked away towards her daughter.
- "Bye." The Danvers woman waved.
The pre-teen stood in front of the stage as Samantha walked up behind her and put her hands on her shoulders.
- "Ladies and gentlemen of National City, please welcome the chairwoman and CEO of L-Corp, Lena Luthor." A man said in a microphone.
He was standing in front of a large veil with the logos of the Elite Force, the original team, Supergirl and the Matthews siblings.
The crowd applauded as Lena walked on the stage to take the spot of the man.
- "Now, I know you all didn't come here to see me." She started. "So, I'll start with the good stuff, and then I'll say just a few very brief words. My fellow citizens of National City: GreatGirl; Supergirl; Valor; Adam, Bree, Chase and Leo Davenport; Skylar Storm; Kaz Karev and Oliver Evers."
The veil dropped and revealed the ten statues of the heroes.
Wow. GreatGirl thought. We deserved it.
Wow. Chase smiled softly from the ground. This is a huge statue of us. Of me. Because I deserved it.
- "I am so honored to be able to present this statue of our favorite heroes." The Luthor woman continued. "Some of you must be thinking, I know. It's a cold day in hell, a Luthor praising a Kryptonian. But ever since I came here, they all have been an inspiration to me. They've proven to us millions of times that we could count on them. They have been our inspirations, even our idols."
- "Now would be a good time for you to get down there and join the crowd." J'onn told the trio.
The three smiled softly, and before they could go down, they heard an explosion.
The four came down from the roofs as the crowd started to run everywhere, screaming.
- "Schott, did you see where that missile came from?" The J'onzz man asked in the earpiece.
The extended Elite Force and Valor started to walk away to help the people in the crowd.
- "We have no heat signature, okay, there's no atmospheric disruption, there's no electromagnetic trail." Winn replied. "Alex, Chase, Skylar, have you seen anything?"
- "Negative visual contact." The right hand replied.
- "It came out of nowhere." The genius boy added.
- "Let's go, keep moving!" Maggie yelled at the crowd.
- "Okay, you know what? We're pulling up every security feed within a two-mile radius. There's got to be an origin point for whatever just hit the waterfront." The Schott man ordered the team at the D.E.O.
- "J'onn, GreatGirl, can you locate DuBois telepathically?" Supergirl asked.
- "I'll try." The green Martian replied.
- "Me too." The Matthews girl added.
The two telepaths looked around, using their telepathic powers.
- "I can't sense DuBois' mind." The quadbrid said.
- "Neither can I." J'onn frowned.
- "I don't get it." The tech guy shook his head. "The cloaking device should not be able to cloak a missile."
- "Then what just hit us and where did it come from?" Leo asked.
The two heroines looked at the ocean, thoughtful, as everyone continued to run around them.
The green hazel-eyed boy ran towards them.
- "The pressure regulator wasn't meant for high altitude; it was meant for low altitude." He explained. "They're underwater."
Suddenly, another explosion was heard underwater as it hit the waterfront, making the ground shake as cracks started to appear everywhere, causing people to fall.
The two heroines glanced at each other and leaped away.
- "I cannot track that explosion to the source, you guys." Winn said. "The radar is not picking up any underwater signals."
A building started to crack as well and some pieces of the walls fell down.
- "Skylar, Oliver and I will clear that building." The J'onzz man ordered. "The Elite Force, Danvers, Sawyer, stay on the waterfront. GreatGirl, Supergirl, find that submarine. Chase, watch over them."
Each person went to their duties.
The two women in the sky closed their eyes and listened to every sound, until they heard a heartbeat underwater.
Chase put himself closer to the edge, using his bionic eye, as the heroines flew underneath the water.
The fiancées ran next to him.
- "They can't breathe underwater." Alex said.
The two heroines swam in the water until they got closer to the sound.
They used their super strengths to make the submarine shake and reveal itself entirely.
Another missile was fired, and the two women swam after it, until it detonated.
The heroines and the waterfront were hit.
- "Oh, no!" The genius boy frowned.
- "Supergirl? Supergirl?" The older Danvers called out in the earpiece of her sister.
- "GreatGirl!" The green hazel-eyed boy yelled into the earpiece of his girlfriend.
The two heroines were unconscious, drowning into the ocean.
- "Kara, answer me." The right hand sighed. "Kara."
- "Kara..." Winn whispered.
- "Rox... Kara..." The Matthews man said. "Please."
- "Dee..." Leo frowned. "Come on..."
- "Wake up!" Chase shouted.
The eyes of the two heroines snapped open, and they swam back to the submarine.
Another missile started to come out, but Supergirl blocked it and pushed it back inside.
The chaos stopped on the waterfront, allowing all the heroes to step closer to the edge with the others, waiting for any sign of their friends being alive.
GreatGirl swam underneath the submarine and used her super strength to lift it out of the water into the air.
The younger Danvers flew next to her.
Everyone on the waterfront smiled proudly at their two heroines.
The genius boy grinned. That's my girl.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the geniuses were sitting on the terrace.
- "That was so badass, baby." Chase said.
- "Thank you." Maddie smiled softly.
- "But you scared me." The bionic boy added.
- "I know." The quadbrid nodded. "I'm sorry."
- "I know." The Davenport boy sighed and held out his hand.
The Matthews girl took his hand.
The green hazel-eyed boy caressed her skin with his thumb.
- "It's your voice that woke me up." The blue-eyed girl said.
Chase smiled softly and brought her hand to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on top of it.
- "I'm happy you're okay." He replied.
- "Me too." Maddie got up to sit next to him.
She laid her head on his shoulder.
The bionic boy kissed her forehead, before resting his head on top of hers.
The quadbrid received a text, and she looked at it.
- "It's Chase again." She snickered. "He won't stop teasing me about us since this morning."
- "Why am I not surprised?" The Davenport boy chuckled softly.
- "Because you met the beast, and you know him now." The Matthews girl replied and texted her friend back.
- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded with a smile.
The blue-eyed girl smiled softly and put her phone down.

Monday, 30th October 2017
The next morning, the two heroines knocked on Lena's office door.
- "Come in." She said. "Oh, hey. Hey, I was just about to call you."
- "I should've called. I heard about the attack at the unveiling." Kara replied.
- "Are you okay?" Maddie asked.
- "Oh, no. I'm fine. GreatGirl and Supergirl got their man." The Luthor woman shrugged. "And now, we have to discuss ours. I spoke to Edge."
- "Please tell me you convinced him not to buy CatCo." The Danvers woman said.
- "Well, you can't convince a bully like that of anything." The scientist replied.
- "So, what? CatCo's gone?" The Matthews girl frowned.
- "No." Lena shook her head. "I bought it."
- "What?" The quadbrid looked at her with wide eyes.
- "You're kidding. Are you kidding?" The Kryptonian frowned.
- "Pretty badass right?" The Luthor woman smiled proudly. "I'm just trying in my own small way to be more like our heroes."
- "Oh, Lena..." Kara started.
- "That's awesome." Maddie said.
- "Thanks." The scientist replied. "And I was hoping maybe you could break the story." She gestured to her best friend.
- "It would be my honor." The Danvers woman smiled.
- "I can't do this without you." Lena told her. "I literally know nothing about running a media empire."
- "Neither do I." The Kryptonian frowned.
- "You know more than I do. You've studied under Cat, and I mean, I trust you." The Luthor woman replied. "How often do you get to work with your best friend and a brilliant young woman?"
The heroines smiled softly.
The famous Morgan Edge stormed in. He was a 5'10 white man with hazel eyes and gray hair.
- "You're more of a lunatic than your brother is." He said.
- "Excuse me?" The two aliens frowned as they defensively stepped in front of their friend.
- "I could ruin you." Morgan threatened.
- "You are dangerously close to being thrown out by security." The scientist replied.
- "You know what? We're gonna go and let you handle this." The Matthews girl frowned, in disgust as she looked at the man in front of her.
I can't read his mind. She thought. SO annoying.
The two heroines walked out and took off their glasses.
- "You are gonna regret, so regret, the day you screwed me." The Edge man threatened. "I sure hope you enjoyed yourself. Because now you have all of my attention."
- "Oh, Edge, like every woman who's ever had all of your attention, I couldn't care less." Lena smirked.
The two heroines landed on the balcony.
- "Ms. Luthor." The quadbrid greeted. "You finished with him?"
- "He's all yours." The Luthor woman replied.
- "What do you think you're gonna do?" The man asked, defensively.
The two aliens smirked.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the two heroines dropped Morgan on top of the cargos on a foreigner.
- "The attack on the waterfront we know it was you." Supergirl said. "To clear the way for your development."
- "You're the only person who had anything to gain from it." GreatGirl added.
- "Yeah, well..." The Edge man stood up. "You can't prove anything."
- "Not yet." The Danvers woman shrugged.
- "But we see you Edge." The Matthews girl continued. "National City is our town. And now you've got all our attention."
The heroines flew away.
- "Hey! You can't just leave me here!" The man shouted from on top of the cargos.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the afternoon, Ember was walking at the waterfront, her phone in her hand, when she noticed the statues.
Her jaw locked as she looked at the statues of the people she hated the most.
She tightened her grip on her phone, crushing it.
- "Shit." She whispered and put the phone in her pocket. She looked around, before glancing back at the statues. "I'm gonna destroy you all."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the evening, everyone was at the alien bar, celebrating their win.
Chase, Kaz, Leo, Adam and Maggie were playing pool.
Maddie, Mia, Winn, James, Bree and Alex watched.
Kara, Skylar and J'onn were talking.
Ezra and Oliver were kissing in a corner.
- "Come here!" Mon-El, who was working, walked up to a large table.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and walked over to him.
- "Here you go." The Matthews man gave everyone the drinks they had ordered.
They all clanged their glasses together and started to talk and laugh together.
