Almost a month later, the Matthews siblings were getting ready for their first Christmas together.

They had decorated the living room and the kitchen.

Mon-El seemed distracted as he looked at the tree.

- "What do you think?" Maddie asked as she put a small light in the form of a snowman on the kitchen counter. "Isn't it cute?" She smiled as she petted Marie, who was wearing a mini Santa hat. "And so is she. Right, baby?"

The kitten purred.

The Matthews man did not reply.

The Matthews girl frowned and walked up to him.

- "Mon-El?" She put her hand on his shoulder from behind.

- "Yeah." The Daxamite looked at her. "Sorry."

- "Are you okay?" The quadbrid questioned.

- "Yeah." Mon-El nodded. "It's just that Christmas was the day you were kidnapped."

Maddie looked down.

- "I know that we found each other again and that you are okay, but..." The Matthews man started.

- "You can't stop thinking about that day." The Matthews girl continued.

- "It was the worst day of my life." The Daxamite said with tears in his eyes.

- "It's over. We're together." The quadbrid wrapped her arms around his back and laid her head on his chest.

- "I know." Mon-El smiled softly as he hugged her tightly.

- "And it's our first Christmas together." Maddie pulled away.

- "Don't act like you are 100% happy." The Matthews man frowned. "It's also your first Christmas without Leo and Tasha."

- "I know." The Matthews girl sighed. "But it's Christmas Eve, I can't cry."

- "You would have every reason to." The Daxamite said.

- "I know. I know." The quadbrid nodded. "But if I cried not of happiness, there's a good chance Chase and Leo would kill me." She chuckled softly.

Mon-El snickered.

- "Yeah. Probably." He replied.

- "So no tears of sadness." Maddie added.

The Matthews man nodded.

In the meanwhile, Kaz and Oliver went back home to spend the holiday with their families as the three other of the team went to the Davenport mansion.

Daniel was spending Christmas Eve with his adoptive parents.

While Marcus and Douglas stayed at the academy to spend it together with the students.

- "My parents are coming soon." Tasha said, panicked. "I can't believe Janice is spending Christmas with her husband's family and is leaving me with our mom alone."

- "Mom, relax, you're not alone. Grandma is way more relax since she got back with grandpa." Chase put his hand on her shoulder.

- "The only reason they broke up was because of Eddy." The mother sighed as she wrapped her arm around his back.

- "Sadly, my plan didn't work out." Eddy added. "Like my plan to call to have animal control take you away."

- "Oh, shut it!" The journalist glared at him as she swiped his screen.

- "Everything will be fine, honey." Donald kissed her cheek.

- "I hope so." Tasha sighed.

- "Come on." The father led her away.

Adam was in the kitchen, cooking one of Maddie's recipes while Bree and Skylar were playing with baby Naomi.

- "I miss her too." Leo whispered to his brother.

- "It feels worse, right?" The genius boy asked.

- "Yeah." The middle brother nodded. "Our birthdays were sad, but Christmas feels so different. It's the first time since we met that we aren't spending Christmas together."

- "She probably feels the same way, wherever she is." The green hazel-eyed boy said.

- "Do you have new theories?" Leo questioned.

- "No." Chase sighed. "I thought about so many ways to find her, but none worked. I almost gave up around Halloween."

- "But you didn't." The middle brother said.

- "I don't know how to explain this. You're gonna think I'm insane." The genius boy replied.

- "I already do." Leo added.

- "Really?" The green hazel-eyed boy glared at him.

- "Sorry." The middle brother chuckled. "What were you going to say?"

- "I felt her." Chase said.

- "How?" Leo frowned.

- "I don't know." The genius boy shrugged. "I was in Mission Command, cleaning. And suddenly, I felt like I was hugging her. But she wasn't here."

- "That's... Insane." The middle brother replied.

- "I know." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.

- "But I know what you mean." Leo said.

- "You do?" Chase frowned.

- "At Halloween, I felt her too." The middle brother replied. "Not like I was hugging her. But like she was with me."

- "Yes!" The genius boy exclaimed, in a whisper. "I can't explain it, but this made me find the hope I needed to continue."

- "Maybe it was her." Leo smiled softly. "Sending us signals so we wouldn't give up and forget her."

- "As if we could." The green hazel-eyed boy scoffed. "She's unforgettable."

- "I know." The middle brother nodded.

- "But it's such a Mads thing to do." Chase snickered.

- "Yep." Leo chuckled.

Later, the siblings were sitting on the couch with Marie, laying in between them.

- "Okay, so which Christmas movie are we supposed to watch?" Mon-El asked.

- "'Home alone'." Maddie said. "It's THE Christmas movie. It's so funny."

- "Alright." The Matthews man laid back.

The Matthews girl pressed play and started to pet the kitten, who was growing every day.

The siblings laughed as they watched the movie.

In the meanwhile, the doorbell rang.

- "They're here!" Bree rushed to the door and opened it. "Grandma! Grandpa!" She hugged them.

- "Hey, honey." George smiled.

He was a 6'1 bald black man with black eyes and glasses.

He, also, had a cane to help him walk since his days in the military where he had almost lost his leg.

- "Oh, baby." Rose squeezed her in the hug.

- "Darling, let the girl breathe." The Dooley man chuckled.

The Dooley woman rolled her eyes and pulled away.

- "Come in." The hybrid moved out of the way.

The grandparents walked in.

- "Mom! Dad!" Tasha walked up to them.

- "My baby girl." The grandpa hugger her and kissed the top of her head.

The grandma hugged her daughter as well.

- "Grandpa, this is Skylar, my girlfriend." The Davenport girl walked up to George with Skylar, who was holding Naomi.

- "Nice to meet you, sir." The Calderan extended her hand.

- "Nice to meet you, too." The Dooley man shook her hand, before caressing the cheek of his youngest grandchild. "Does she make you happy?" He asked his eldest granddaughter.

- "The happiest." Bree nodded with a smiled.

- "Then, welcome in the family!" The grandpa chuckled and hugged the Storm girl, who smiled. "And please call me George. Or grandpa." He smiled widely.

- "Alright." Skylar snickered.

George raised his eyebrows.

- "Grandpa." The Calderan added.

- "Good." The Dooley man replied.

- "Rose. George. Nice to see you again." Donald said.

- "Hello, Donald." The grandpa shook his hand.

- "Yeah. Yeah. Where are my other grandbabies?" Rose asked as she tickled baby Naomi, who laughed.

- "We're here." Leo walked in with his brothers.

- "Hey." Adam smiled.

The Dooley woman smiled widely and hugged the three boys.

- "My babies!" She exclaimed.

The three boys chuckled into the hug.

- "Hi, grandpa." They, simultaneously, said.

The grandma broke the hug and pinched their cheeks.

The boys hugged their grandfather one by one.

- "Have you been working out?" George asked his youngest grandson.

- "Yes, sir." Chase nodded. "I followed your advice."

- "We can see the difference, son." The Dooley man smiled softly.

- "Thanks, grandpa." The genius boy smiled back.

- "I feel like Maddie is going to come out any second to hug us." Rose said.

- "Yeah." The mother sighed. "We all feel this way."

- "I'm sure, she's fine." The grandpa replied. "Our girl is strong and independent like her mother."

- "He's right." The tallest guy nodded. "Little lady is perfectly fine, somewhere. And Chase will find her."

- "I hope so." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.

- "You will, sweetheart." The Dooley woman patted his back.

Chase smiled softly at her.

Later, Maddie was finishing dinner with Mon-El was setting up the table.

He picked up the kitten from the floor.

- "What do you think?" He asked. "I did a good job, right?"

- "Meow!" Marie replied.

The Matthews girl chuckled softly from the kitchen.

- "It's ready." She said.

The Matthews man put the kitten in her bed.

The quadbrid put the turkey on the table.

- "That looks delicious, Rox." The Daxamite smiled.

- "Thank you." Maddie sat down. "I hope you'll like it, it was my mom's recipe."

- "Well, let's try my fake mom's recipe." Mon-El replied.

The Matthews girl smiled softly.

Since everyone knew they were siblings, the Matthews man decided to pretend Claire was his mother as well, so his sister could continue to call her that with everybody.

- "She would have loved you." The quadbrid said.

- "You think so?" The Daxamite asked as he cut the turkey.

- "I know so." Maddie nodded.

Mon-El smiled.

- "I love her and I don't even know her." He replied.

The Matthews girl chuckled.

- "And I always will because she saved and loved you." The Matthews man added. "And gave you the life we couldn't."

- "That's so sweet." The quadbrid said with tears in her eyes.

- "No crying." The Daxamite smiled.

- "I know." Maddie wiped her years.

Mon-El chuckled as he served her.

In the meanwhile, the Davenports-Dooleys were having dinner as well.

They laughed as George told an old story.

- "It was ridiculous." He said.

- "No, you were ridiculous." Rose chuckled.

- "How dare you?" The Dooley man gasped, amused.

The Dooley woman smiled and kissed her husband's cheek.

Everyone continued to talk about random topics.

While Chase smiled softly as he looked at his grandparents looking at each other like they were the only people in the room. I want that with you, Mads.

- "It's delicious, Adam." Skylar said.

- "Thank you." Adam smiled. "Maddie's lessons paid off."

- "Yeah, thank God." Leo sighed. "Remember the first time you cooked for grandma?"

Everyone chuckled, but Rose.

- "I remember mostly the thing that tried to kill us." She scoffed.

- "Yeah." Tasha sighed. "We had a good talk later about their bionics."

- "I still can't believe you accepted us as your grandkids after you discovered our bionics." Bree said.

- "Of course, I did." The Dooley woman frowned. "You are Donald's children, and he married my daughter, that makes you our grandbabies. Bionics or not."

- "She's right." George nodded. "Beside, you are saving the world, why wouldn't we be proud of calling you our grandchildren?"

The four eldest siblings smiled and got up to hug their grandparents.

At midnight, everyone was sleeping and Chase was sitting on the roof, looking at the stars.

- "Merry Christmas, darling." He murmured to himself.

He held the necklace around his neck.

In the meanwhile, Maddie was laying on the roof of her building.

She was looking at the stars.

- "Merry Christmas, my love." She said as she played with her thumb ring. "I hope you are looking at the starts too."

Later, in the morning, Maddie woke up and was preparing everything for the arrival of her friends.

The Krillin had no family besides themselves, like the Matthews, so they decided to spend Christmas together.

- "Maddie?" Mon-El yawned as he walked out of his bedroom. "What are you doing?"

- "I'm preparing everything for when Mia and Xandar arrive." The Matthews girl continued to bake Christmas cookies.

- "It's six." The Matthews man frowned.

- "I know, but I'm used to waking up early on Christmas to open the presents." The quadbrid shrugged. "Because of Leo." She chuckled. "Go back to sleep."

- "Okay." The Daxamite yawned again and kissed the top of her head.

- "Goodnight." Maddie chuckled.

Mon-El did a thumbs up as he walked back into his room.

In the meanwhile, the entire family was sitting in the living room in their pajamas.

They were opening their presents.

Chase was a little away from everyone.

Tasha sat next to him and wrapped her arm around his shoulders.

- "It's okay, baby." She said. "I know you miss her, but you're gonna find her. It's just a matter of time."

- "I know." The genius boy sighed. "It's just weird to be without her. I didn't realize until she left how much time we spent together."

- "That's what happens when your best friend is also the person you are in love with." The mother smiled softly.

- "Yeah." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled back. "I love it."

The journalist hugged him tighter as Chase laid his head on his mother's shoulder while they looked at their family.

Later, late in the morning, Mon-El had finally woken up and was helping his sister decorate the last cookies.

Someone knocked on the door.

- "I got it." Maddie opened the door. "Hey, guys. Merry Christmas."

- "Merry Christmas." Mia hugged her best friend.

- "Merry Christmas." Xandar hugged his friend.

The two walked in.

- "Wow. It's beautiful." The Krillin woman looked at the decoration.

- "Thank you." The Matthews man smiled as he greeted his friends. "I did it all by myself."

The Matthews girl smacked his arm.

- "I'm kidding." The Daxamite snickered. "We did it together."

- "Uh-uh." The quadbrid nodded.

- "As if we were going to believe you did it alone." The Agotarian woman scoffed.

The two women walked away.

- "At least, I'm not the only one, who gets mistreated by his little sister." The Krillin man said.

- "Poor us." Mon-El sighed.

The two men chuckled and joined their sisters.

In the meanwhile, the entire family went to the academy for lunch.

Donald had organized a big Christmas buffet for his family and the students.

Tasha was with her parents on a side of the room.

Emily and Aaron were playing with Naomi.

- "Bob! You can't eat that!" Heather yelled.

- "Mr. Davenport, this is awesome!" Spin exclaimed.

The father grinned.

- "I know I did it." He shrugged.

Chloe rolled her eyes.

- "Come on." Daniel grabbed her hand and ran away.

The two kids giggled.

Chase smiled softly as he looked at them. They are adorable.

Across the room, Skylar had pulled Bree under the mistletoe.

- "You know what that means." She smiled.

- "I do." The Davenport girl pulled her into a slow kiss.

- "I feel so single." Adam told his brother. "I finally understand what you feel."

The genius boy rolled his eyes.

- "I miss Janelle." Leo added.

- "You're gonna see her tomorrow." The tall guy frowned. "You can't compare your loneliness to ours." He wrapped an arm around the green hazel-eyed boy's shoulders.

- "You can't compare that." He replied and pushed his brother's arm away. "You and Zack chose to break up. Mads was aspired by a wormhole." He frowned. "That's not comparable." He scoffed and walked away.

- "Good job." Marcus, sarcastically, patted his older brother's back.

- "Not helping." The eldest frowned.

Chase walked outside to see Daniel and Chloe kissing gently. So predictable. He chuckled softly and turned around without making a sound.

Jason walked up to him.

- "You're okay, man?" He asked.

- "Yeah." The genius boy sat on a bench.

- "I know it's different, but I miss her too." The Krane boy sat next to him. "She was the best." He smiled softly.

- "Do you still have a crush on her?" The green hazel-eyed boy raised his eyebrows.

The blue-eyed boy laughed.

- "What? No!" He exclaimed. "My crush on her went away after two weeks."

- "But you continued to flirt with her?" Chase frowned.

- "Okay, don't kill me." Jason said. "But I only continued because I thought it was funny to annoy her. And because Adam told me to, so you would get more jealous and realize your feelings." He murmured the last part.

- "He did what?!" The genius boy yelled. "And you agreed?"

- "I told you, it was funny for me. And I was so sick of you looking at Maddie like you just want to kiss her, while continuing to say that you are 'friends'." The Krane boy rolled his eyes.

The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.

- "I was really blind." He said.

- "So was Maddie." The blue-eyed boy shrugged. "After you realized your feelings for her, she didn't notice that your look had change. You, guys, are really made for each other."

Chase smiled as his cheeks, slightly, reddened.

- "Thanks." He replied.

- "You're welcome." Jason got up. "And my crush on Maddie disappeared, because I realized that you were the guy she will ever see." He walked away.

The genius boy's face turned redder. How could I not see that?

Later, Maddie was sitting on the carpet in the living room.

She watched the three eldest debating as they were all playing a board game.

- "You are so competitive!" Mia exclaimed.

- "That's because Maddie and I are crushing you and Mon-El. And you are a sore loser!" The Krillin man replied as he petted Marie on his lap.

- "I am not!" The Krillin woman frowned.

- "We still have time to win." Mon-El added.

- "No, you don't." The Matthews girl shook her head. "We're gonna win, and you can't do anything about it."

- "We'll see about that." The Matthews man frowned, amused.

- "Bring it." The Agotarian man said.

- "If they can." The quadbrid added.

- "Oh, you're on." The Agotarian woman replied.

- "We're gonna destroy you." The Daxamite high-fived Mia.

- "No, we are." Xandar wrapped an arm around Maddie's shoulders.

I love them. She chuckled.

In the meanwhile, Chase was sitting on the floor, looking at everyone from afar as Naomi was sitting against his chest.

Adam sat next to him.

- "I'm sorry for earlier." He said.

- "It's okay. I know you didn't mean it like that. I'm just on edge." The genius boy replied.

- "I get it." The tall guy nodded.

- "And thank you." The green hazel-eyed boy added.

- "For what?" The eldest frowned.

- "For making Jason flirt with Mads to make me realize my feelings for her." Chase snickered.

- "Oh. He told you." Adam looked down.

- "Thank you. Without your schemes, I don't know when I would have realized it." The genius boy said.

- "Probably only after she disappeared." The tall guy shrugged.

- "Yeah, maybe." The green hazel-eyed sighed.

- "You realized it before. You had time to spend with her." The eldest said.

- "Yeah. I'm glad." Chase replied.

Adam smiled and wrapped his arm around his brother's shoulders, pulling him into a quick hug.

The genius boy smiled back.
