The next week, Douglas was going through a line of students.
- "Next!" He yelled.
The team walked up to him.
- "What's up, Douglas? Doing a price check on bionic kids?" Leo asked.
- "Ooh, I wonder how much I'm worth." Adam said.
- "Well, we could sell you for parts and find out." Chase grinned.
- "All right. Well, just don't sell the part that does this." The tall guy punched his youngest brother.
- "Ow!" The genius boy screamed and held his arm in pain.
Maddie punched the eldest teenager.
- "Ow!" Adam screamed and glared at her.
The alien girl smiled widely.
The green hazel-eyed boy snickered.
- "I'm just cataloging everyone's bionic abilities." The uncle explained.
- "Oh, cool, count me in." The tall guy said.
- "Adam, we already know what your abilities are." Bree replied.
- "Ugh, okay, you got me. I just really like waiting in lines." The eldest joined the front of the line.
- "In addition to the bionics we know they have, Krane also gave them a lot of weird hidden abilities." The Davenport man explained. "Just trying to get a grip on what we're dealing with."
- "What does that guy have?" The Davenport girl pointed to her best friend's student, James, with red-glowing hands.
- "That guy's name is James." The Matthews girl said. "He's one of my students."
- "Check it out." Douglas took out a burger. "Oh, no, my lunch is undercooked. Oh, Thermo Hands!" James placed the burger between his flaming hands, and opened his palms to reveal it to be fully cooked. "Why, thank you."
- "That's cool. Gross but cool." Maddie smiled.
- "Thanks, Maddie." The student smiled back.
- "Sweet ability, dude." Adam high-fived him. "Ow! Hot! Hot! Hot! Ooh!" The alien girl used her freeze breath to blow on her best friend's hands. "Thanks, little lady. Hey, those things are dangerous!"
- "Try it again, I'm sure they've cooled down." Bree said.
- "Oh, no, I'm not falling for that. I got her." The tall guy scoffed and high-fived James again. "Ow! Wha--!"
The Matthews girl shook her head and used her freeze breath on the two boys' hands.

Later, the three youngest mentors were in the cafeteria, eating, when Douglas walked in.
- "Hey, Chase, you are not gonna believe this." He said. "Another student has the Commando App!"
- "What? I thought I was the only one with that app." Chase frowned.
- "Yeah, you're not that special." The uncle patted his shoulder.
The genius boy turned to the girls and looked at them, offended.
- "Don't look at me, I've been trying to tell you that for years." Bree replied.
Maddie used her telekinetic powers to make the Davenport man slap himself.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled at her.
- "So, which one of these manly warriors is following in my footsteps?" He looked in the direction of the muscular boys across the room.
- "Why does it have to be a big, strong guy?" The alien girl frowned.
- "Yeah." The bionic girl crossed her arms. "Are you saying that a girl can't be a warrior?"
- "I didn't mean that girls can't have the commando app or that they can't be warriors." Chase said.
- "That's what you insinuated by, instantly, looking at them." The Matthews girl replied.
- "No. That's..." The genius boy started when Douglas moved his head towards the other side of the cafeteria.
- "Her." He pointed at Kate, who was struggling with a bottle of ketchup.
- "Open!" The Krane girl yelled.
- "Kate?!" The green hazel-eyed boy exclaimed. "She's the most timid girl in the whole academy! I've seen her run from her own shadow."
- "We're working on it." Maddie said. "But she just needs a little time to be comfortable with people. She made progress since I met her."
- "And that's the beauty of the Commando App. The enemy is caught off guard by a non-threatening subject." The uncle explained.
- "But I have the Commando App." Chase frowned.
- "Yes, you do." The Davenport man chuckled.
The girls laughed.
The genius boy rolled his eyes. Seriously?
- "Look, I didn't want to scare Kate, so I told her she had a sonic scream ability instead." Douglas explained. "So until I can figure out a way to remove the app, make sure nothing triggers it and sets off Spikette."
- "Spike-ette?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Catchy, right?" The uncle laughed as the mentors looked at him, unimpressed. "I like it, and I'm keeping it." He walked away.
- "Okay, well, I'm done with my classes for today, so I'm gonna go see Tasha." The alien girl said. "We have to sign me up for the driver-ed instruction, so I can start the lessons and get my driver's permit in October." She explained.
- "Okay." Chase nodded.
- "It's so boring." The Davenport girl sighed. "I haven't finished the lessons, yet."
- "You should, then, you could finally drive." The Matthews girl replied. "Anyway, see you later, guys." She opened a portal and walked through it.
- "Man, this is perfect." The genius boy told his sister. "I've never seen my Commando App in action. If I can activate Spikette, maybe I can figure out a way to control it, which would help the both of us."
- "Uh-uh, no way, you heard Douglas. He doesn't want us triggering a dangerous app." Bree said.
- "But I can..." The green hazel-eyed boy started.
- "No, Chase!" The bionic girl cut him off. "We are not here to experiment on the students. We're here to help them." She walked away.
- "Fine." Chase sighed loudly.
Kate walked over to him with her bottle of ketchup.
- "Excuse me, Chase? Can you help me open this?" She asked.
- "Sure." The genius boy took the bottle, but, suddenly, stopped. "Wait...did you just ask for my help?"
- "Yes...?" The Krane girl raised her eyebrows.
- "So, you want ME to help YOU?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked.
- "Uh-huh..." The student frowned.
- "Me, Chase, is gonna help you, Kate?" Chase continued.
- "Okay. Maybe I should just ask someone else." Kate took the bottle back.
She tried to leave, but the genius boy grabbed her wrist.
- "Oh no! You asked for my help and you're getting it! There's no turning back!" He exclaimed and pulled the Krane girl along with him as he ran out.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Chase was in the common area.
- "What does it take to trigger this app? We've tried fear, intimidation..." He started.
- "Embarrassment." Kate was wearing a clown costume and some of her siblings laughed at her, before walking away. "I don't mean to be rude, but how is this helping me open a bottle of ketchup?"
- "Oh, ketchup, you're still on that? This is a life lesson: use mustard!" The genius boy exclaimed.
- "Okay, I'll go find some." The younger Krane girl ran away.
- "Maddie is gonna kill you." Emily told the mentor.
- "Why are you saying that?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Because you're messing with one of her students." Alison explained.
- "I'm not messing with her. I'm helping her." Chase corrected.
- "Yeah. Not sure Maddie will see it that way." The younger twin said.
- "It was nice knowing you, man." The older twin patted his shoulder, before walking away with her sister.
She's not gonna kill me. Right? The genius boy frowned.
- "Ah, Chase." Adam walked in. "I need the basement key card. I'm having a foosball table delivered, so to make room, I'm putting your capsule in the dumpster."
- "Can't you see that I'm busy?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked.
- "So am I, I'm trying to throw something out you need to survive. Give me the key card." The tall guy picked up his brother and started to throttle him.
- "Cut it out!" Chase yelled.
- "Give me it!" The eldest shouted.
- "Put me down!" The genius boy exclaimed, irritated.
- "Got it!" Kate returned with the mustard.
The brothers continued to yell and fight, causing the Krane girl to start twitching.
- "Stop!" The green hazel-eyed boy shouted, before seeing the student's reaction. "Hey, wait!" He yelled, causing his brother to stop. "She's responding! Keep hurting me!"
- "Good for you, Chase. Finally learning to accept it." Adam smiled, before throttling his brother again, and Kate's Commando App activated.
Spikette ripped off the clown costume and threw the mustard.
- "Drop the boy-child before I rip your tonsils out of your nose!" She shouted.
Adam dropped his brother to the ground.
- "What is that?" He asked, in fear.
Chase got up.
- "Adam, you did it! That is Spikette!" He smiled.
- "Really? Huh, this whole time I've been calling her Janet." The tall guy chuckled.
The bionic girl threw him across the room.
- "Whoa." The genius boy smiled, impressed. "I had no idea the Commando App was so..." Spikette grabbed and cradled him. "Whoa!! Ah!"
- "Shhh. Baby good now." The bionic girl started caressing his arm.
The green hazel-eyed boy frowned, in fear. What did I do?
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Chase was hiding with his tablet behind a column as he gestured to the students to hide.
- "Chase, what's going on in here?" Bree walked in.
- "Um..." The genius boy hesitated.
- "You activated Kate's Commando App, didn't you?" The bionic girl asked.
- "What? No!" The green hazel-eyed boy exclaimed with a high-pitched voice.
Spikette roared as she chased Jason with a chair held above her head.
- "Maddie is gonna kill you!" He yelled to the mentor.
- "No one hurt baby!" The Krane girl shouted after him.
- "Okay, technically I didn't do it. Adam did when he attacked me." Chase defended.
- "Wait, what? That doesn't make any sense. Why would her Commando App kick in if you were the one who was getting attacked?" The Davenport girl frowned.
- "It must be triggered by some kind of mama bear instinct. And now, it's glitching like crazy. First, she's trying to baby me, and then, she's trying to destroy everything in sight!" The genius boy explained.
Spikette threw a chair and the mentors ducked.
- "What were you thinking?!" Bree smacked his arm.
The Krane girl pulled her away.
- "Stay away from baby!" She yelled.
- "Yes, ma'am. I-I-I'm sorry." The Davenport girl said, in fear. Spikette growled and ran off. "Geez, at least, with M I know that she won't hurt me."
- "I don't get it!" The green hazel-eyed boy exclaimed. "My Commando App would've shut down a while ago. But Kate's adrenaline levels are going through the roof!"
- "Okay. Then just shut her down!" Bree replied.
- "Oh, that's a great idea, you know, I hadn't thought of that." Chase, sarcastically, said. "I can't! I don't know how!" He yelled, angrily. "Maybe if we can just contain her in here, we'll be okay." The Krane girl ripped out one of the support columns in the room. "Then again, maybe not."
Spikette held out the column.
- "Baby want toy?" She asked him.
- "You know, for a maniac, her maternal instincts are dead on." The genius boy said. "Baby good." He smiled.
The Krane girl shrugged and dropped the column, before running away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Spikette continued to destroy the place while Bree, Chase, and Douglas hide behind overturned tables.
- "So you turned Kate into Spikette even though I told you not to?" The uncle asked. "You know, I try to be the fun uncle, but you people make it so hard!"
- "I'm sorry. I wanted to observe the Commando App." The genius boy explained. "And now that I have, my scientific conclusion is..." He paused. "I'm scared." He said with a high-pitched voice.
The Krane girl started eating a chicken from the trash.
- "Oh, look, she's taking a snack break before she destroys the rest of the academy." The Davenport girl, nervously, chuckled.
- "No fork, no plate. Where are her manners?" The Davenport man frowned.
- "You grilled your lunch on a kid's dirty hands!" Bree yelled.
The mentors glared at him.
- "In the name of science!" Douglas replied. "The only way to stop the app is to manually override the chip. So first we have to..."
- "Okay." The green hazel-eyed boy cut him off. "Get the chip. I'm on it." He sneaked up behind Spikette, but she spotted him.
- "Mommy chewed food. Open your mouth!" The Krane girl bent him back and tried to spit her food in his mouth.
- "Ew, no! Baby good, BABY GOOD!" Chase shouted, making her let him go. "Wait! The chip extractor! Throw it to me!"
The uncle tossed it, but Spikette caught it instead.
- "Not safe for baby." She broke the chip extractor in half.
The Davenport man groaned, and the genius boy ran back to hide with them.
- "Great. Now what are we gonna do?" The Davenport girl asked.
- "I don't know, but so far, panicking and hiding behind things is working for me." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "Can't we call Mads?"
- "Why?" Bree frowned.
- "Because she's always deactivating my Commando App." Chase said. The two eldest looked at him, in shock. "Don't look at me like that, I'm not stupid. When I come back, I'm always looking at her. I don't know how she does it, though."
- "It's because she's your best friend. You have a special bond." Douglas lied. "She doesn't have that with Kate. It won't work. We're gonna have to use physical force to restrain her, which means you're gonna have to get aggressive." He pointed at his nephew, who growled in agreement. "Really aggressive. Spikette needs to meet her match."
- "Oh, no. No, no, no. You can't turn me into Spike." The genius boy shook his head.
- "But I can." The Davenport girl smiled.
She super speeded away with her brother and, quickly, returned to the common area with Chase dressed as a baby.
He was wearing a newborn hat, a giant diaper, a bib, and a pacifier. He looked down at himself.
- "Ahh!" He shouted through the pacifier.
The students and his sister laughed at him.
- "Oh, baby." Bree mocked.
The Commando App activated, and the aggression level rose to eighty percent. Spike roared and spat out the pacifier.
- "What are you, chuckle nuggets, laughing at? Never seen a grown man in a diaper before?" He shouted.
The students ran off and Spikette walked in, Douglas peeked around the corner.
- "Baby? Baby!" The Krane girl clapped her hands, excitedly.
- "Oh, I'm no baby. I'm a man sandwich. Served with a tall glass of macho." The bionic boy flexed his arms.
- "Well, are you man enough to take her down?" The Davenport girl asked.
- "No can do." Spike replied. "She's a lady. Spike always respects a lady."
- "This is not a lady." The uncle replied.
- "Hey, who are you callin' not a lady?!" Spikette shoved him to the ground.
She and Spike laughed and high-fived.
- "Be right back. Spike feels underdressed for this particular occasion." The bionic boy grazed his fingers on his chest. "Where is she?" He asked Bree.
- "She's signing up for her driver's license." The Davenport girl replied.
Spike nodded and walked away with his squeaky shoes. The Krane girl ran out.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the niece and her uncle were crouching in the doorway as Spikette continued to destroy things.
- "I don't get it! She's supposed to be winding down, not getting stronger." Bree said.
- "It's a glitch. If her Commando App keeps going, her chip's gonna burn out and melt her brain." Douglas explained. "And I am not cleaning that up!"
- "I cannot believe Chase! You know, if I was Spike, I would be showing that girl who's boss." The bionic girl replied as she took out her necklace from under her uniform. She pressed the button underneath. "M will be here any moment. We should have listened to Chase since the beginning. Don't tell him, I said that."
The Davenport man nodded.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, a portal opened and Maddie walked out of it.
- "What's up?" She asked.
- "Long story short, Chase activated Spikette to study the Commando App, and we couldn't stop her, so we activated Spike to take care of her, but..." Bree started.
- "But Spike respects women and doesn't want to do anything against her." The alien girl continued.
- "How do you know?" Douglas asked.
- "Last year, I talked with him for hours so he wouldn't murder Adam." The Matthews girl explained.
- "Anyway, we need you to take care of both of them." The uncle said.
- "Alright." Maddie sighed. "Where are they?"
- "Common area." The bionic girl replied.
- "Let's do this." The alien girl walked away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, Spike and Spikette were in the common area.
- "So, little lady, what else do you like to do?" The Davenport boy asked.
- "Rip off people's toes and use them as chess pieces." The Krane girl replied.
- "We have so much in common." Spike grinned.
Maddie walked in the room.
- "Who the heck are you?" Spikette asked.
- "Your worst nightmare." The alien girl said, as she read her mind. "Hi, Spike."
- "Hi, Princess." The Davenport boy smiled.
- "I'll bring you up to speed once I'm done with her." The Matthews girl replied.
- "Once you're done with me?" The Krane girl laughed and launched at her.
Maddie took a step to the side, causing Spikette to crash into the wall.
Spike chuckled and sat down.
- "Ahhhh!" The Krane girl turned around and tried to punch the alien girl.
The Matthews girl took her arm and turned her around as she blocked her arms behind her back.
- "Ooh! That's my girl!" The Davenport boy exclaimed.
A boy, Reggie, walked in.
- "Whoa!" He yelled. "What's going on in here?"
Spikette pulled away from Maddie, who just read his mind.
- "New baby!" She smiled widely.
- "What?" The alien girl frowned.
- "I'm not a baby!" The boy replied.
- "Baby cranky. Must be hungry." The Krane girl walked over to the trash.
The four eldest Davenports ran in.
- "There you are! You're out of here, Reggie." Leo said.
- "I told you, I'm not going anywhere." Reggie replied.
- "Munchy, munchy! Open mouthy!" Spikette opened the boy's mouth as she tried to spit out food.
- "AHHH!" He screamed.
- "Spike!" The Matthews girl yelled.
Spike got up and pulled Reggie away. He stood in front of him to protect him.
- "Give me back my baby!" The Krane girl shouted.
- "No." The youngest Davenport said, firmly, as the boy held on to his waist, from behind.
- "Who's that?!" Douglas asked.
- "Long story short... Leo's going to jail." Adam replied.
- "So now you're ready to go?" The middle brother questioned.
- "Yes!!" The boy yelled.
- "Grab him." Leo ordered.
The tall guy grabbed Reggie, who was holding Spike's waist, and ran into the common area with the middle brother.
- "Baby!" Spikette shouted as started to run out.
Maddie tackled her.
- "Oooh. Nice, M." Bree chuckled.
The bionic boy snickered.
The two violent girls got up and The Krane girl tried to attack the alien girl, who grabbed her and threw her into the common area.
The three Davenports and the Matthews girl walked in the common area. The siblings sat on the stairs to watch the fight.
- "The chip extractor's almost fixed. Hurry up and take her down!" The uncle ordered.
- "Shut it, or I'll take you down!" Maddie yelled.
- "I like her spirit." Spike laughed.
- "Shocking." The Davenport girl sassed.
The Davenport man gulped.
- "Carry on." He ran to hide behind a column.
The alien girl punched her student, who blocked the punches. The alien girl kicked Spikette, who was pushed back by the kick. The Krane girl punched her mentor, who blocked it.
- "Keep your hands up, Matthews!" The green hazel-eyed boy yelled.
The Matthews girl tried to kick her student, who twirled across the room.
- "Picked that one up in dance class." Spikette smirked.
- "Nice." Maddie said.
The Krane girl ran away, but the alien girl super speeded in front of her.
- "Where do you think you're going?" She asked. She threw Spikette through a glass pane next to the siblings, who were not hurt, because the Matthews girl had opened a shield around them. "That's one way to clean a window." She walked between the siblings.
Spike smirked. Nice ass.
The Krane girl tried to hit her mentor, who did a flip above her, avoiding her fist. Maddie grabbed her from behind and threw her onto the ground. She used her foot to keep Spikette on the ground as Douglas removed her chip.
- "Got it! She should be out for a while, plenty of time for me to adjust her settings." He explained.
-" Nice job, M." Bree said.
- "Thanks." The alien girl smiled. "Now, if you'll excuse us." She grabbed the green hazel-eyed boy's hand. "We have a debriefing." She walked away with him in the training area.
They sat down on the platform.
- "It was an impressive fight, princess." Spike said.
- "Thanks." The Matthews girl replied. "So, since December, as you can see, we are not in the same place."
- "Yeah, what's up with that?" The Davenport boy asked.
- "We fought Krane again, but this time he had an entire bionic army. So, Adam, Bree, and Chase took him down, and we took in his army. We are training them to be bionic heroes." Maddie explained.
- "They are lucky to have you." Spike, gently, nudged her.
The alien girl smiled, softly.
- "Adam came out as gay. Bree as queer, she doesn't know what she is, yet. And Chase as bisexual." She explained. "Adam is dating Zack. Four of Krane's kids turned on us after we saved them, one used Chase and pretended to romantically like him."
- "I bet you made him suffer." The bionic boy replied.
- "Chase stopped me, so I couldn't." The Matthews girl sighed.
- "That's too bad." The Davenport boy said.
- "Anyway, Donnie, accidentally, tore Chase's suit. Chase and you are allergic to dogs. We went on a hundred more missions. My mom's birthday. Leo's birthday. Leo hurt himself twice on missions, and Tasha almost made him quit. Chase and Douglas brought a million years sea spider back to life. And Douglas gave it growth hormones, so the spider was 50 feet." Maddie shuddered, in disgust. "And Bree killed it. That's pretty much it."
- "Thanks for the debrief." Spike smiled.
- "You're welcome." The alien girl smiled back.
- "Come on, Princess. It's time." The bionic boy got up and extended his hand.
- "You're sure?" The Matthews girl asked as she took his hand.
- "Yeah." The Davenport boy nodded, sadly.
- "I'm gonna miss you." Maddie hugged him.
- "Me too, princess. Me too." Spike sighed as he hugged her, tightly.
They pulled away. The bionic boy grabbed her hips and pulled her against him.
- "You know what you have to do if you want sweet, Chasey, back." He whispered in her ear.
The alien girl rolled her eyes, amused.
- "I know." She put her hands on his cheeks. "Until next time, Spike."
Bree peeked at the door, her phone out.
- "Until next time, Princess." The Davenport boy smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her as close as he could.
- "I'm sorry." The Matthews girl sighed.
- "It's not your fault." Spike replied. "It's life. At least, when I'm conscious, I have you. I'm glad, we're friends."
- "Me too." Maddie smiled, sadly.
- "Do it, princess." The bionic boy whispered against her lips.
The alien girl pulled him in and crashed her lips against his. The Davenport boy pulled her closer.
One thousand one.
The bionic girl chuckled as she took a photo.
One thousand two.
The Matthews girl moved her hand to the back of his head and ran her fingers through the hair on the back of his head.
One thousand three.
The Davenport girl smiled widely.
One thousand four.
I wish I could do that with Chase, all the time. Maddie thought. With more lips moving, though.
One thousand five.
Bree took another picture and hide behind the wall, she wrote in the details of the photo and put her best friend's phone down, before walking away, smiling.
Hi, Pretty Boy. The alien girl, quickly, put away from his grip.
Chase opened his eyes and looked around, confused.
- "Mads?! What's going on?" He asked.
- "I fixed the situation. Spikette's gone and Kate is out." Maddie said.
- "Thank you for bringing me back." The bionic boy said.
- "I..." The alien girl started.
- "Stop." The Davenport boy cut her off. "I know you're the one bringing me back, but how?"
- "Nope. I can't tell you, or it won't work anymore." The Matthews girl shrugged.
- "Seriously?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Sorry." The blue-eyed girl said.
- "One day, I'll know." Chase replied.
- "Only if you want Spike to stay in control." Maddie walked away with him.
- "I don't." The bionic boy shook his head.
- "Then, don't try to figure it out." The alien girl said.
- "Fine." The Davenport boy sighed and licked his lips.
Cherry. He frowned. Why are my lips tasting like cherry? He looked at the girl he loved. She's always wearing cherry lip balm. What happened?
- "Mads?" He asked.
- "Mmm?" The Matthews girl turned to him.
- "Why are my lips tasting like cherry?" The green hazel-eyed boy questioned.
Shit. The blue-eyed girl thought.
- "I don't know." She shrugged.
- "Isn't it the flavor of your lip balm?" Chase asked.
- "It is." Maddie nodded. "Spike probably used it." She walked away and took her phone.
This is too weird. I don't believe that. The bionic boy frowned. But why else my lips would be tasting like her lip balm?
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Maddie was in her room. She opened her phone and answered her message of Bree saying 'Look in your gallery. You're welcome. Xo, the best of best friends ever.'
The alien girl frowned and looked in her gallery.
She sat up straight as she looked at the pictures, with wide eyes.
- "Oh my god. She didn't." She gasped.
The last picture had a caption: 'Took it at the fifth second, so you're kissing Chase. Not Spike, not the transition, just the boy you're in love with.'
The Matthews girl smiled widely.
The bionic girl entered the room and chuckled.
- "I knew you would like it." She said.
- "You are insane." Maddie snickered. "Imagine if Chase sees it."
- "Make sure he doesn't." The Davenport girl sat next to her best friend. "It's a nice picture." She looked at the phone.
- "Yep." The alien girl smiled as she continued to look at the photo.
A knock was heard at her door, the Matthews girl did not move as she was hypnotized by the photo.
Bree laughed and got up. She opened the door.
- "Chase!" She exclaimed.
Maddie, quickly, turned off her phone and threw it across her bed.
- "I wanted to talk to Mads." Chase said.
- "I'm leaving, anyway." The bionic girl replied. "Sweet dreams, M." She smirked and walked away.
The bionic boy walked in and closed the door, behind himself.
- "What was that about?" He asked.
- "Inside joke." The alien girl lied.
- "Okay." The Davenport boy chuckled and sat next to the girl he loved. "I just wanted to apologize for using your student and ask why didn't you hit me, yet?"
- "Because Spike taking control of your body is enough." The Matthews girl said.
- "Really?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Yep." The blue-eyed girl nodded. "Wanna watch a movie?" She asked.
- "Sure." Chase nodded and moved against the headboard.
It's too easy. He thought.

The next morning, Douglas was with his youngest nephew in the common area.
- "Well, I hope you learned your lesson." He said.
- "Definitely." Chase nodded.
- "Now, go apologize to Kate." The uncle patted his back.
The genius boy walked over to the student.
- "Um, hi, Kate. Good to see you." He chuckled, nervously. "Look, I really just want to apologize for being so selfish. I never should've used you as a science experiment."
- "It's okay. I forgive you." The Krane girl smiled.
- "You do? Thanks." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled back.
- "No problem. But, one more thing." Kate said.
- "Sure." Chase nodded.
- "Don't ever use me as a human guinea pig..." The Krane girl started.
- "Mm-mm." The genius boy shook his head.
- "AGAIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!!" Kate shouted with her sonic scream.
The green hazel-eyed boy fell to the ground, screaming. The Krane girl high-fives Douglas as she walked away.
- "Oh." The uncle laughed as he took off his headphones. "Did I forget to mention? I gave Kate an actual sonic scream. Oh, and it was Maddie's idea." He mocked his nephew's screams as he walked away.
Of course, it was. I knew it was too easy. Chase sighed on the ground.
