In the living room, the Davenports stayed in place, without talking or moving.

Claire is dead and Mads is gone. Chase sobbed, silently.

- "She didn't even look at us." Bree sniffled.

- "She's in shock." Donald replied. "Come here. All of you." He opened his arms.

The four kids and the mother, practically, crashed against him, sobbing.

They had lost Claire and Maddie, in a few minutes.

Leo had lost his second mother.

But he, also, had lost his very first friend, the first person to have ever loved and supported him, that wasn't his mother. The person, with, who he cried of laughter the most. The person, with, who he could talk of hours of everything and nothing, at the same time.

He had lost his person.

Meanwhile, in the police car, Maddie was still trying to make the Krees talk. She had to play along, so they would lead her to Claire.

They were four Krees in Mission Creek: two went to get Maddie while the two others changed Cy-Ja's location, so her daughter wouldn't be able to save her, without following them.

- "It's sad to see how pathetic Cy-Ja became." The man, Tol-Vo, laughed. "Killing her own people to save a useless little girl."

- "She's weak, like her mother and sister." Cha-Tann chuckled. "You are gonna be our most powerful weapon." She caressed Maddie's cheek.

The Matthews girl leaned away.

- "What are you gonna do to us?" She asked.

- "Your 'mother' will be our price to have Ronan's mercy. You, on the other hand, will be our own little weapon." The man explained as he drove.

- "Is there anything I could do to convince you to let her go?" Maddie questioned.

- "No." The woman, firmly, replied.

- "Think about it, if you let Cy-Ja go, I could kill Ronan for you and make you two, the new leaders of the Krees. You wouldn't ever have to be afraid for your lives because I would protect you. I will be whatever you want me to." The Matthews girl explained. "If you let her go."

- "Mmm." Cha-Tann hummed. "That is not a bad idea. We'll think about it, slave."

- "Thank you." The alien girl said.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of minutes later, the two Krees and their prisoner, finally, arrived at their destination. They were in front of a dark and old hangar.

- "One wrong move and Cy-Ja dies." Cha-Tann warned. "Stop the car and open us."

- "Yes, ma'am." Tol-Vo stopped the car and got out.

He opened Maddison's door and escorted her out, as the woman followed her. They both leaded the girl inside the hangar. The walls were in lead, so the Matthews girl could not see through them.

- "Don't bother trying to find her. The walls are made of lead, you can't see through them." The woman, who was the leader of the group, chuckled.

- "I know that." Maddie sighed.

They continued to walk until they were in a dark, long hallway where a single weak light was lit up in the middle. The two Krees turned off the human appearances, to reveal their blue skins. Tol-Vo knocked on the door at the end of the hallway, three times. A 5'1 blue woman opened.

- "Finally. She tried to escape four times since you left." She explained.

- "She's a real pain in the ass." The 5'11 blue man replied.

- "Mom!" The Matthews girl ran towards her mother, who hands and feet were cuffed.

The lawyer and the floor were covered in her blue blood. They had cut her wrists, stomach, and thighs to weaken her, and started again every time she healed.

The man, Baq-Van, held her back.

- "Maddie, no." Claire let a few tears fall on her cheeks.

- "Let her go." Cha-Tann ordered.

The teenager ran towards her mother and hugged her.

- "What are you doing here, baby girl?" She whispered.

- "They came to the mansion." Maddie explained. "I couldn't let them hurt you or the Davenports. Are you okay?" She looked at her bleeding mother.

- "I'm fine." The Matthews woman replied. "I'll heal."

- "Are you gonna let her go, now?" The daughter got up. "I'm here. I said I will be your slave. You have to let her go."

- "Maddie, no!" Claire yelled.

The leader smirked and walked out with the three member of her crew. They locked the doors.

- "Come on, Mom. Let's go." Maddie whispered and broke the cuffs with her super strength. She helped her mother get up. She wrapped her mother's arm around her shoulders. "I'll teleport us away."

- "No, you can't. We have to destroy them, before they alert the others." The Matthews women said, and straighten up.

- "But mom, you're too weak..." The Matthews girl started.

- "Maddison, I am your mother. I worry about you and your safety. You listen to me. Not the other way around." Claire said, firmly.

Xalyna opened the door, and shot mother and daughter with a Kree weapon, knocking out both of them. The leader and the two men entered the room, as well.

- "You're not leaving, baby girl." Cha-Tann smirked and crouched down next to the daughter. "You're mine, now." She caressed Maddie's hair and took off her glasses.

In the meanwhile, Chase was pacing, in his bedroom, phone in hand.

Mads doesn't answer that's not normal. Something happened. He thought to himself. He scoffed. I'm being paranoid. I'll take a glass of water and go to bed.

The genius boy walked out of his room and went to the kitchen. He saw something, he did not notice before, under the chair at the front door.

What the heck? He frowned and took the object. It's Mads' phone. Something definitely isn't right. If Claire died and Mads was taken away, why would she leave her phone here? He tried to turn on her phone, but a message appeared.

- "For Leo." He read out loud. He ignored it and tried to open her phone when another message popped up. "Chase, I said, give this to Leo." He chuckled. "She knew I would find it." He opened the third message. "Chase, I'm gonna hurt you." He read.

Okay, how could she know? The green hazel-eyed boy frowned and walked towards his brother's room.

He knocked, softly, and Leo opened it, quickly.

- "Mads left this for you." Chase handed the phone to his brother.

The short boy frowned and took the phone.

- "You can read the rest of the messages in front of Chase. But Chase, only." He read.

- "What the heck?" The genius boy frowned. "Why is she doing that?"

The Dooley boy pulled in brother inside his room.

- "I don't know, but it's not good if only the two of us can know." He replied. He opened the fifth message. "To answer Chase's question, I put face recognition on my phone to make sure, only the people I wanted could open the messages." He read.

- "Of course, she did." The green hazel-eyed boy scoffed, amused, and put his arm on his brother's shoulder to look at the phone's screen. "Leo, tell him." He read. "Tell me what? What is she talking about?" He asked.

- "Um..." Leo chuckled, nervously. "I never had to do this, before. So, I'm sorry if this is not delicate." He started and put his hand on his brother's shoulder. Chase frowned. "Dee is an alien, and she's from another universe. She's been going on mission with you, since the first one to protect you, without you knowing, because she has invisibility." He blurted out.

- "WHAT?" The genius boy shouted. "That's what the sounds I heard were! That was her?" He asked.

- "Yep." The short boy nodded. "Also, those messages, it's bad. Because when she was two months until she was five years old, she was on a ship where, a species of alien called the Krees, tortured her." He explained.

- "Mads was being tortured as a baby?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned, sadly.

- "Yeah. This." Leo showed the phone. "Means that Claire is alive and the Krees found both of them. And Maddie wants me to tell you this, so you wouldn't worry about not being able to reach her." He took a deep breath.

- "Okay, so she's the one in danger, and she's worried about me?" Chase frowned.

- "Yeah, that's kind of her thing." The short boy shook his head. "Only you, I, mom and Big D know about the other universe and alien thing."

- "But she looks human." The genius boy frowned.

- "Yeah, it's because she's a Kryptonian and a Daxamite." The Dooley boy shrugged. His brother frowned. "Come on, man! Kryptonian? Like Superman!"

- "Aah." The green hazel-eyed boy said.

- "Told you, you should read comic books." Leo replied.

- "Yeah. I will, now. But what can we do to help her? To help them?" Chase asked.

- "Nothing. We can only wait." The short boy sighed and sat on his bed.

- "But they are in danger!" The genius boy yelled.

- "I know. But you can't do anything." The Dooley boy replied.

- "I can locate her and go help her." The green hazel-eyed boy said.

- "Dee and Claire have been waiting for this to happen, for years. And when she met you, Dee updated her plan more, so you wouldn't be able to find her. I mean, she's not a genius for nothing." Leo shrugged.

- "Why would she do that?" Chase asked.

- "Because she knows you wouldn't stop to try to find her." The short boy explained.

- "Okay, she knows me a little too well." The genius boy said.

- "Yeah, she reads minds." The Dooley boy chuckled. "Well, only when she meets someone for the first time."

- "She read my mind?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked, panicked. "So, she knows we are bionic?"

- "Yep. Why do you think she walked away when you talked about your bionics at school, or pushed people away or didn't freak out about the whole Spike thing?" Leo smirked.

- "It's because she knew." Chase snickered.

- "She has been protecting you since you met. At school and outside. You just didn't know about the outside part." The short boy chuckled.

- "Yeah." The genius boy scoffed, amused. He sat next to his brother. "So, we just have to wait until she comes back?"

- "Yep." The Dooley boy replied.

- "It's gonna be a long night." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, Maddie woke up dizzy; she put herself on her knees and realized her hands were cuffed to the ground.

- "Look who's finally awake, Cy-Ja." Tol-Vo chuckled, maliciously. "Your daughter."

Claire was on her hands and knees, half awake due to the loss of blood, in front of her daughter and turning her back to the four Krees.

- "We thought about your offer." Cha-Tann explained. "And it's a no."

- "Also, we thought that there will be a bigger chance of Ronan forgiving us if we brought him Cy-Ja." Xalyna started. "Already dead." She laughed.

She showed a Kree sword.

- "No!" The Matthews girl yelled as her head spun. "Please, I will do whatever you want! I will be your slave! I will kill people for you! I will be yours!" She pleaded as tears streamed down her face. "Let her go. Please." She begged.

- "Maddie, no..." The mother said as she tried to stand up, but failed.

- "You heard your mother." Baq-Van replied.

- "Do it." Cha-Tann ordered.

- "Look away, baby girl." The lawyer whispered.

Xalyna walked up behind Claire and made the sword pierced her heart. The Matthews woman gasped and tears fell down on her cheeks.

- "NOOOO!" Maddie shouted.

Her scream activated her sonic scream powers, causing the four Krees to hold their heads in pain, until blood flowed from their eyes and ears.

- "Make her stop!" Cha-Tann yelled, before falling to the ground with her crew.

The Matthews girl stopped and looked at the four bodies on the floor. She used her heat vision to melt the cuffs around her wrists.

I killed them. She covered her mouth, in shock.

Maddie went to her mother.

- "Mom, hey, stay with me." She put her mother's head on her lap. "Hey, mom. Hey."

Claire looked up at her daughter, softly, as blood flowed out of her mouth.

- "You did what needed to be done. There is nothing to feel guilty about. I'm so proud of you and so proud of whom you are becoming." She smiled.

- "Mom..." The daughter whispered.

- "I know, baby girl." The mother sighed. "You'll be okay. You have the Davenports. And we will meet again, after you lived a long and happy life." She smiled. "You will find your dream job, your soul mate, even if I think it's Chase." She smirked. Maddie chuckled, sadly. "You will have kids. And tons of adventures. And after all that, we will meet again, and you will tell me all about them." She smiled.

- "Mommy, no..." The daughter cried.

- "You will be okay." Claire repeated. "I will always be with you, in your heart. And if you miss me too much, there is always my hologram." She chuckled, sadly.

- "I can't lose you." Maddie said.

- "The poison on the blame, already, spread to my heart, sweetie. It's too late for me." The mother explained.

- "There has to be something I can do." The daughter replied.

- "You know there isn't." Claire said and wiped the tears on her daughter's cheeks. "My beautiful baby girl." She caressed the Matthews girl's cheeks. "I love you."

- "I love you, too, mommy. So much." Maddie sniffled. The mother took her last breath and her hand fell from her daughter's as her entire body relaxed. "Mommy..." The girl cried and closed her mother's eyes, before hugging her, tightly, for two hours.

She took her mother's body and teleported to their house. She laid her body on her bed, before going back to the dead bodies of the four evil Krees.

She picked up her glasses and put them on. She opened a portal in front of the sun and threw the four bodies inside. She watched the four bodies burned to ashes.

Thursday, 14th November 2013

At the mansion, it was past midnight; Chase was on the couch, in the living room. He could not sleep until he knew his best friend was safe, so he stayed on the couch for hours, waiting for her. He checked his watch multiple times.

It's not because you check your watch, every two seconds, that she will come back faster. He sighed.

He walked towards the sliding doors and opened one of them. He sat on the deckchair and looked at the sky.

Maddie landed next to him, tears streaming down on her cheeks, her clothes were covered in blue blood and her hair was messy.

- "Mads?" Chase, quickly, got up. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked.

- "You know?" The alien girl asked.

- "Yes." The bionic boy nodded.

The Matthews girl crashed against his chest, sobbing, and buried her face in his neck. The Davenport boy's heart sank as he felt his best friend's cries against him. He wrapped an arm around her and held her head with the other as hugged her as tightly as he could. Her breath was shaky and short. She felt like she could not breathe.

- "Mads, hey, you need to breathe." The green hazel-eyed boy hugged her tighter. "Feel my heartbeat. Focus on that." The blue-eyed girl closed her eyes as she listened to his heart beating fast. "That's it, deep breath, Mads." He murmured against her hair, with tears in his eyes.

- "They killed her." Maddie whispered. She pulled back to look at him, in the eyes. "They killed her in front of me and I couldn't do anything. She saved me when I was five. I wouldn't be here without her. She saved me. And... And I couldn't save her." She started sobbing again. "She's dead because I didn't do anything! It's all my fault! My mom is dead and it's my fault..." She cried harder.

- "Shhh." Chase, quickly, pulled her head against his neck, again. "Let it go. I'm here. I'm not moving." He whispered and, gently, kissed her temple.

The alien girl closed her eyes as her arms wrapped around her best friend's back tighter.

- "What's going on here?" Tasha turned on the lights, before walking on the terrace, in a robe. "Maddie?"

The genius boy let her of his best friend.

- "Go." He mouthed as he tilted his head, towards his mother.

The Matthews girl hugged her Davenport woman.

- "Oh, honey." The journalist sighed, sadly, and hugged her.

The blue-eyed girl pulled away.

- "I know it's the middle of the night, but you need to call everyone in the living room, now." She explained. "We have to talk." She wiped her tears.

- "I'll tell Eddy to wake them up." Tasha walked away.

- "What are you doing?" Chase frowned.

- "I have to tell them about my mom and my powers." Maddie sighed.

- "Are you sure?" The genius boy asked.

- "Chase, in my mom last wishes, she asked Tasha to take me in, years ago. And I know that after your dad discovered about my powers, they talked about it again. And both of your parents agreed. It wouldn't be fair if the only people, who didn't know about my powers in this family, were Bree and Adam." The alien girl explained. "Plus, like this, you would have more explanations."

- "You don't have to do this, now, Mads." The green hazel-eyed boy said.

- "Yes, I do. Because we need to do my mom's funeral, like she wanted it." The blue-eyed girl replied. "After that, I will go in my bed and cry myself to sleep."

- "Mads..." Chase whispered and put a hand on her shoulder.

- "It's okay." Maddie took a deep breath.

- "Dee!" Leo ran towards his best friend and hugged her. "Why do you have blood on you?" He asked, worried.

- "That's your blood?" The genius boy questioned, worryingly. "Where are you hurt?" He started checking out her face and arms, first.

- "Chase, stop, it's not mine. It's my mom's." The alien girl sniffled as she stopped his hands from going any lower. "My blood is red. I mean, it was before I got my powers, now, I don't know."

- "I, definitely, have questions." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.

- "What happened?" The short boy asked.

- "She's..." Tears fell down on the blue-eyed girl's cheeks. "Dead."

- "It's not funny, Dee." The Dooley boy shook his head, with tears in his eyes, not believing it. "Please, tell me, it's a joke."

- "I wish it was." Maddie pressed her lips together to stop herself from crying more.

Leo, quickly, hugged his best friend as they both cried. Chase wrapped his arms around the two childhood best friends. They broke the hug when they heard the rest of the family in the living room.

- "Maddie!" Tasha yelled from inside.

- "Let's go." The alien girl took a deep breath.

The short boy held her left hand while the genius boy held her right.

- "Let's go." The Dooley boy nodded.

They walked back inside the house where the parents and the two oldest siblings waited, in the living room, in their pajamas.

- "M, what happened?" Bree asked.

The Matthews girl let go of the brothers' hands. She walked in front of the couch.

- "Sit down." She ordered. The six Davenports sat down on the couch. "Okay, I need to tell you something. It's gonna a shock. Mister Davenport learned about it when my future self came."

She knows about this, too? Chase thought.

- "Tasha and Leo know since we are six. Chase just learned about it." Maddie explained. "It's time you, two, know, as well." She pointed at the two older siblings.

- "You're scaring me." The bionic girl frowned.

- "What's wrong, little lady?" Adam asked.

- "My mom and I are not human. I'm an alien. I'm a Kryptonian and a Daxamite. I was born on Daxam in 1978." The alien girl said.

- "1978?!" The genius boy exclaimed.

- "Let me explain." The Matthews girl replied. The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "I was tortured for five years by Krees, when one of them, my mom, saved me." The two older siblings gasped. "We escaped, and we got aspired by a wormhole. We arrived here in this universe in 2004. Yes, the multiverse exists." She explained. "She named us Claire and Maddison Matthews created us, fake identities and everything. Then, she taught me how to use my powers and made me these glasses made of lead, so I couldn't see through people's clothes and skin." She pointed to her glasses, before taking them off. "I don't need them to see. Also, when we escaped, radiations came through me and I have some powers of two others species. I can read minds, but I only do it when I meet someone for the first time, so don't worry it." She sighed.

- "So, you know that we are bionic, since we met?" The Davenport girl asked.

- "Since I met Mister Davenport." Maddie replied.

- "So, you always knew." The tall guy said.

- "I did. That's why I never freaked out about the weird things you did or pretended not to see when you used your abilities." The alien girl snickered. "I know you thought I was in the moon. I wasn't. Mom knew, too." Tears formed in her eyes. "She allowed me to go with you on missions, using my invisibility power to protect you. Like the train full of nuclonium, after Bree tied the ropes to the bridge, I untied them and put them around my waist. Adam, you were pulling on me to stop the train."

- "What? But this is so dangerous!" The green hazel-eyed boy yelled.

- "Chase, I'm a Kryptonian. I can't get hurt." The Matthews girl replied.

- "That's why you are never hurt by Adam's bone crushing hugs." Bree said.

- "Yeah." Maddie snickered. "You know the mission in space? Adam, you felt something touched your back?"

- "That was you!" Adam exclaimed. "This is so cool!"

Everyone chuckled at his reaction.

- "That was you all the sounds I heard, the presence I felt..." Chase whispered. "The barrels falling on the guards! I knew that wasn't normal!"

- "Yeah, it was me." The alien girl snickered.

- "This is so weird." The bionic girl murmured.

- "Now, that you know this, I can tell you what happened tonight." The blue-eyed girl sighed.

- "I would like to know." Tasha replied.

- "The two police officers from earlier?" The Matthews girl started. "They are Krees and two of their colleagues were holding my mom hostage."

- "What?!" The six Davenports yelled.

- "I read their minds, so I knew, that's why I left my phone here for Chase to find. And why I didn't look at you when I left." Maddie explained. "Anyway, long story short, they killed her, and I, accidentally, killed them." Tears fell down her eyes.

Oh, Mads. Chase frowned, sadly.

- "Oh, honey." The mother got up and hugged the girl.

- "Where are they?" Donald asked.

- "I opened a portal and threw them into the sun." The alien girl explained. "Because yes, I can teleport."

That's creepy and cool. The genius boy raised his eyebrows.

- "Good." The father sighed.

- "Anyway, mom's dead and we need to do her funeral." The Matthews girl explained.

- "Where is she?" Leo asked.

- "At home." Maddie replied. "I didn't know what to do."

- "How an alien funeral is supposed to happen?" Bree sniffled.

- "I have to open a portal, and we have to throw her into space, where she could float among the stars, like her mother and sister." The alien girl explained.

- "This is beautiful." Donald sniffled.

- "When?" Adam asked, as he wiped the tears on his cheeks.

- "The earlier, the better." The Matthews girl replied.

- "We'll get ready, while you talk." Tasha gestured to Leo and her husband to follow her.

They walked out.

- "So, you've been lying to us since we met?" The bionic girl asked as she wiped the tears in her eyes. "You didn't trust us to tell us the truth! You manipulated us!" She exclaimed as she got up.

- "Like you did! The only reason I know about your bionics, it's because I read your minds, not because you told me!" Maddie replied, angrily. "Look." She took a deep breath. "I never told you about my DNA, but you know me. My personality has nothing to do with my blood or my powers."

- "Bree, she's right." Adam put a hand on his sister's shoulder.

- "You don't care that she lied?" Bree asked.

- "We lied, too." Chase replied. "We are in the same boat about the lies and the manipulation."

- "Bree, come on. It's me." The alien girl said. "The same Maddie, you call your best friend. The same Maddie, you have sleepovers with. The same Maddie, you spend the entire Davenport-Matthews girls' night with. The same Maddie, you go shopping with." She smiled, sadly. "B, it's me."

- "You're right. I'm sorry." The bionic girl hugged her best friend. "That doesn't change anything. Come on, guys, team hug." She chuckled and opened her arms.

The bionic brothers smiled and hugged the girls.

- "I can't believe, you've been going on missions with us." The tall guy said. "I thought you, only, defended us at school, but you've protecting us more than we know." He smiled.

- "I told you, your first official day of school, that I will defend you." The Matthews girl smiled. "Always."

- "You did." The genius boy grinned.

The oldest Davenport kissed the top of her head.

- "Little lady, you are amazing." He said.

She is. The green hazel-eyed boy thought.

- "Thanks." Maddie chuckled, with tears in her eyes.

- "Come on, I'll super-speeded us to the lab so we can change." Bree told her brothers, who nodded. "You, with your Supergirl powers, go home and change."

- "Yeah." The alien girl sighed. "I'll leave the portal, open so you can, all, walked through it when you are ready. Try to print pictures of her." She opened a portal in her living room and walked through it.

- "This is so cool." Chase said.

The bionic girl grabbed her brothers' arms and super speeded them to the lab.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

In the meanwhile, Maddie used her super speed to take off her bloody clothes and put on a black dress. She, also, cleaned her mother's cuts and changed her into a black dress, as well.

- "My beautiful mom." The alien girl caressed her mother's face. "I wished you stayed longer with me, but now, you are with your big sister and your mom. They must be so happy to see you again." She smiled, sadly. "I already miss you." She kissed Claire's forehead. "I love you, more than anything."

She walked out of her mother's bedroom, walked down the stairs and saw the six Davenports, all, well-dressed, in black. She closed the portal.

- "Are you okay, honey?" Tasha asked.

- "No." The Matthews girl replied. "Anyone wants to go see her, before we start?" She asked. The Davenport mother stepped forwards. "She's on her bed."

The journalist opened the door of her best friend's door and, silently, cried.

- "Oh, Claire." She whispered and sat on the bed, next to her. "I'm gonna miss you so much." She took Claire's hand in hers. "You spend your entire life fighting, but, you can rest, now. You can go, without worrying about your daughter. Donald and I will take good care of her." She kissed the Matthews woman's hand. "We'll see each other again. Until then, I know you'll keep the fire warm and the beers cold, waiting for me." She chuckled, sadly.

She wiped her tears, before walking back downstairs and hugging her husband. Leo walked up the stairs and sat next to Claire.

-"Hey, second mom." He smiled, sadly. "I am so grateful to have met you and Dee. You, guys, are the best family I could've wished for with the Davenports." He sighed. "I can't believe you're really gone." He sniffled. "We are gonna miss you so much." He hugged her, for a couple of minutes. "We'll see each other, again. In a very long time, I hope." He chuckled. "In the meanwhile, I will take care of Dee and mom, don't worry about them. I love you, so much." He closed the door and walked to his family.

Donald went upstairs and sat on the bed.

- "Hi, Claire." He smiled, sadly. "You know, I always thought that I was lucky to have met Tasha, and I am. But I am also lucky, because when I met her, I also met you. You taught me what it is to have a best friend. A real one, not one in a wall." He laughed, in between tears. "I will honor you. I will take you as an example to be a better father for my children and your daughter. With the hope to be a tenth of the parent you were." He smiled. "You will be missed." He kissed two of his fingers and pressed them on her forehead. "Goodbye, my friend." He walked out.

- "I want to see her." Bree walked up the stairs. She took a deep breath, before opening the door. She broke down when she saw the woman, lying, on the bed, without moving. "Claire..." She sobbed and sat on the floor, next to the bed. "Thank you for all your wise advices. Thank you for loving me like your daughter. Thank you for..." She breathed out. "For being your amazing self. I love you." She got up and kissed Claire's forehead.

Adam walked up to the room.

- "Hey, Claire." He smiled. "There is nothing, I can say, that you don't already know. What I can say is thank you for being there for me. For us. And thank you for saving Maddie." He caressed her hand. "Without you, we wouldn't have met her, and I'm very happy about that." A tear escaped his eye and ran down his cheek. "I love you." He walked away.

Chase went upstairs and sat next to Claire, on the bed.

- "I will continue to be myself, with Mads, without caring about other people's opinions, like you told me." He smiled, sadly. "I will remember every single one of your advices and apply them. I will make sure Mads is okay. I'll make sure she gets up from this. I won't let her behind or on the floor." He explained. "I will take of her. I won't let anything happen to her. I promise." He kissed the Matthews woman's forehead. "We love you. I love you." He walked out of the room.

Maddie walked up upstairs and carried her mother, downstairs. She laid her on a board. She walked back in the room, with tons of flowers: blue, red, yellow, pink, white, purple.

- "When and where did you get this?" Leo asked.

- "I went to France, after I changed, before changing mom." The alien explained. "When mom spoke about her mom's and sister's funerals, she always talked about the colorful flowers to celebrate their lives. She wants us to be happy and remember her smile, her laugh, and her grimaces." She chuckled. "She doesn't want us to be sad." She sighed and got on her knees to put a white sheet on her mother's body.

- "We'll help you put the flowers." Chase got down on his knees, next to her.

The five other Davenports got on their knees. They were all around Claire's body. They put the flowers and alternated the colors, until her entire body was covered.

- "This is beautiful." Bree smiled.

They all got up. One by one, they glued their favorite picture with Claire on the flowers. The Matthews girl stared at her mother's necklace, in her hands.

- "You think, I could...?" She turned to Tasha, who smiled.

- "I think, you are the only person, who can take it." She took the necklace and attached it to Maddie's neck.

The 'M' was right under the infinite sign. The alien girl, softly, touched her mother's necklace as she smiled.

- "It's perfect, Mads." The genius boy smiled, softly.

Maddie opened a portal in space. The stars shined more than usual.

- "The stars are so beautiful, tonight." Donald said.

- "They are ready for her." The Davenport woman smiled, sadly. "May I?" She asked the alien girl, who nodded. She turned to face her family. "We are, all, here tonight because we love Claire. We will remember her as the kind, gentle, funny, smart, and loving woman that she was. We will honor her memory by loving and taking care of each other. Like Maddie said, we will remember her life, not her death." She explained. "We love you, Claire. Thank you for entering my life and being my sister." She smiled.

The Matthews girl went to pick up the board, when Adam stood on the other side to help her. They carried the board in front of the portal and pushed her into the stars.

- "Goodbye, mom." Maddie whispered, as tears fell down her cheeks.

Leo hugged her side, tightly. The seven watched Claire, covered in colorful flowers, flying away, in the depth of space. They stayed there, until, the board was too far away.

- "Let's go home." Donald put his hands on the Matthews girl's shoulders, who closed the portal. "We'll pick up the rest of your stuff, tomorrow."

Maddie opened a new portal towards the living room of the mansion. They, all, walked through it.

- "How are we gonna do about Claire's disappearance?" Chase asked.

- "She really was in a car accident, caused by the Krees. So, people think she died there." The alien girl explained. "So, she was declared dead hours before she actually died."

- "Okay." The genius boy nodded.

- "Everyone, go to sleep. We'll talk more, tomorrow morning." The father checked his watch. "Well, more like in a few hours."

The bionic trio walked to the lab while the childhood best friends went into their own rooms.

- "Night, Dee." Leo smiled.

- "Good night, Leo." Maddie smiled, sadly.

One hour later, Maddie was, still, wearing her dress, as she laid on her bed at the Davenport mansion. She looked at the ceiling, as tears flowed on her cheeks. The door of her room opened.

- "What are you doing here?" She asked.

- "I know you couldn't sleep." Leo grabbed his best friend's arm and opened it to lay his head on her shoulder.

- "You know me well." The alien girl replied and closed her eyes.

A few minutes later, the door opened again. Bree opened Maddie's right arm and laid on her shoulder.

- "You don't need to stay here." The alien girl said.

- "This isn't up to discussion. We are staying and you shut it." The bionic girl replied.

The childhood best friends snickered.

- "What she said." The short boy answered.

- "Yeah. Okay." The Matthews girl shook her head.

An hour later, Chase was, still, pacing in the living room.

Should I go see her? He asked himself. Maybe, she'd rather be alone? What do I do? He slapped his forehead.

- "Come on, stop torturing yourself." Adam said.

- "But I don't know what to do!" The genius boy whisper-yelled.

- "Just go see her, if she wants to be alone, she'll tell us." The tall guy replied.

- "You're coming too?" The youngest Davenport asked.

- "Duh." The oldest wrapped his arm around his brother's shoulders.

They walked towards Maddie's room and knocked, softly. They opened it and saw their sister and brother, sleeping on her shoulders. The alien girl was sleeping as well. The bionic brothers looked at each other and nodded.

The genius boy closed the door, while Adam went between their sister and best friend and laid his head on her stomach.

Chase went between Leo and Maddie and rested his head, next to her stomach. He wrapped one arm around her waist and closed his eyes.

- "Goodnight." He whispered.

- "Night, guys." The alien girl murmured.

Of course, she's awake. The green hazel-eyed boy smiled and tightened his grip on her waist.

I love them. Maddie smiled to herself as she looked at the four Davenport around her. Mom's right, I'll be okay. She closed her eyes, before falling into the arms of Morpheus.
