While their children were at school, Claire and Tasha were having lunch, on the terrace of a café.

- "So, are you excited about this trip with Donald?" The Matthews woman asked.

- "Yes!" The Davenport woman replied. "We are finally gonna have some sort of honeymoon."

- "I'm happy for you, you deserve to be happy." The alien woman said.

- "Thank you." The journalist smiled.

- "Besides, you always wanted to go to Australia." Claire continued.

- "I know, I am really excited." The human smirked.

- "While you're on vacation, I have a trial in San Diego." The lawyer sighed. "I have to leave Maddie, alone for a week."

Tasha gasped.

- "Maddie should stay with Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo!" She exclaimed.

- "What? No." Claire replied. "I can't ask you to let her stay at your house, while you're not there."

- "You always let Leo stay when I was gone." The Davenport woman smiled. "And it wouldn't be the first time that Maddie stays with us while you're gone."

- "True. But it would be the first time since you got married and have bionic kids." The alien woman whispered.

- "I think Donald would be more relax if Maddie stayed, because the kids wouldn't be able to use their powers and destroy the whole house. Besides, your daughter is the only person who manages to stop Leo to break everything." The journalist explained.

- "Are you sure?" The lawyer asked.

- "Yes, Claire. I'm sure." Tasha chuckled. "Besides, now, Donald knows Maddie has powers, and has been going on missions to protect Adam, Bree, and Chase. He definitely trusts her more than our kids." She whispered, amused.

Claire chuckled.

- "She will always protect those four." She smiled.

- "Yeah, they are lucky." The Davenport smiled back.

Later that day, Maddie was opening the door of her house, after a long day of school.

- "Maddie?" Her mother yelled.

- "Yeah. It's me." The alien girl closed the door.

- "You'll stay with the Davenports kids, while I'm in San Diego and Tasha and Donald are on their trip." The alien woman walked in the living room, wearing sweatpants and a sport bra.

- "Okay." The daughter replied. "Are we training, today?"

- "Yes, get change." The older woman said.

The daughter super speeded to her room, upstairs, and changed into the outfit she wore on missions: black leggings and a black sweatshirt with gray over the knee boots.

- "Done." The blue-eyed girl smiled.

The Matthews walked into a closet and Claire put her hand on a part of the wall. The floor under them started to move, soon, they were in the basement. The lights turned on, automatically.

- "Today, we are working on your combat. No powers." The mother explained as the daughter nodded. "Get in position."

The two women got into fighting positions.

The eldest attacked the youngest. Maddie blocked her mother's fist and slide between the woman's legs, causing her to flip on her back and groaned.

- "Are you okay, mom?" She asked.

- "I'm fine." The woman got up. "Again. Give me all you got." She said with a determined look.

The daughter smirked and attacked her mother.

After one more hour of fighting, the two women stopped.

- "Are you sure you're okay, mom?" Maddie asked.

- "I'm fine." Claire smiled, panting. "Your stamina is stronger every day."

The daughter smiled.

- "I'm gonna take a shower." She said.

- "Wait, I have something for you." The older woman replied. "We know you need a cape to aid with the aerodynamics. So, we've been working on something with Donald. An indestructible cape." She turned with a folded black cape.

- "You did that in a week?" Maddie looked in awe.

- "More like in three days. We started after he tested all your powers." The alien woman smiled. She unfolded the cape and attached it around her daughter neck. She stepped back. "Perfect, like always, baby girl." She kisses her daughter's forehead.

- "Thank you, mom." The alien girl smiled and hugged her mother's waist. "I love you."

- "You're welcome, sweetie." Claire smiled back. "I love you too."

Friday, 28th June 2013

Three weeks later, summer vacation had already started, and it was time to go for the Davenport parents. Claire had left a few minutes prior. The Davenports and Maddie were in the living room of the mansion.

An entire week with Mads, this is going to be great. Chase smiled as he looked to the girl on his left.

- "Are sure you'll be able to handle a week with us?" The genius boy whispered.

- "Yes. This is going to be great." The alien girl smiled.

The Davenport boy smiled widely.

How can she make me smile so easily?! He bit his lips.

I love when he bites his lips. The Matthews girl looked away from the genius boy's mouth.

- "I am SO happy to live with you for an entire week!" Bree exclaimed and sat on the couch next to her best friend.

- "Me too! It's gonna be amazing." Maddie said, happily, and wrapped her arms around the bionic girl's shoulders.

- "Oh, this is so exciting!" Tasha exclaimed as she walked down the stairs with a suitcase. "I have never been to Australia before."

- "Hey, maybe you'll like it so much you won't want to come back!" Eddie yelled and disappeared.

- "Donald, honey, do you have the plane tickets?" The Davenport woman asked.

Donald snickered.

- "Honey, we're taking my fully automated private jet." He scoffed. "Plane tickets. Why don't we just slap on a bunch of stamps and mail ourselves there." He sassed.

- "Private jet. That works." The journalist smiled.

- "Score!" Leo and Tasha whispered.

The father rolled his eyes, amused.

The Davenport mom walked away.

- "Okay, Leo, this is your chance to prove you're responsible enough to stay at home without us." He said to his son.

- "Me? What about them?" The latter asked, in disbelief.

- "They were designed to go on missions and save the world. Maddison is the one protecting them." The genius whispered. "You were designed to break stuff."

- "Don't worry, I know the rules: no touchy-touchy your stuffy-stuffy." The short boy mocked.

- "Leo, I'm serious. There's millions of dollars' worth of technology here." Donald walked to the couch, where Maddie and his three others children were sitting. "So no goof-ups, no explosions, no fires. You know what? I'm not going. I'm not going." He said, loudly, and walked to his wife.

- "Donald, Leo will be responsible. He is a big boy." Tasha explained, then, turned to her son. "Sweetie, I left your flame-retardant undies on the dresser."

The four other kids laughed as Leo looked at the floor, blushing.

- "Mr. Davenport, Leo will be fine." Bree got up from the couch. "I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"

- "Funny you should ask. I've made an actuary chart which covers every possible catastrophe. You have an 82% chance of coming back to a perfectly normal house." Chase smiled and gave his calculations to his father. "Happy travels." He smirked.

- "See, you have nothing to worry about." Maddie replied. "I'll be here, Mister Davenport. Don't worry. I'll make sure they don't destroy the house." She walked past the genius boy's face to go to his dad.

- "Exactly, don't worry! Eddy is here to monitor every room in the house. He is like a virtual babysitter." The Davenport mom pointed to the home system.

- "Yeah, and I virtually care about your kids and Maddison." He replied before disappearing.

- "Big D, I got this. No explosions, no goof-ups, no fires, no floods..." Leo pushed his father towards the open door.

- "Wait. I didn't think about floods." Donald said.

- "Donald, let's go!" Tasha complained.

- "Go! Get out!" The genius boy yelled.

- "Go!" Bree, Adam, and Leo said.

- "Bye, guys, love you!" The mother yelled, from outside.

- "Love you, too." The tall guy yelled.

- "Love you!" The youngest Davenport yelled.

- "Love you, guys!" The Davenport girl shouted.

- "Bye, love you!" Leo started to close the door.

- "Okay, be careful. There's an inflatable raft in the closet." The father passed his head in the open door.

- "All right, bye." Chase replied.

- "Bye!" The girls waved.

- "Alright, alright, love you." Donald said from outside.

- "Goodbye! Go!" Leo sighed as he closed the door.

- "Your father is worse than my mom." Maddie chuckled.

- "Whoo-hoo! Party in the house!" Adam cheered, excited.

- "Whoo!" The bionic girl yelled.

- "Did you not hear what Davenport just said? We're supposed to be responsible." The Dooley boy frowned.

- "Oh, right. I'll be responsible for the drinks. Little lady, you're responsible for making delicious snacks. Leo, you're responsible for blowing up that raft!" Adam explained. "Whoo-hoo! Party in the house!"

- "Yeah!" Chase exclaimed.

- "Whoo!" Bree shouted.

The trio ran out the room.

- "And he's worried about me?" Leo looked at his best friend.

- "Yeah, like it isn't the first time they have total freedom. What does he expect?" Maddie shook her head.

- "I have no idea." The short boy sighed.

- "Genius, my ass." The alien girl replied.

The Dooley boy nodded.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

The Matthews girl was, in the kitchen, peeling potatoes.

- "Hey, Mads." Chase walked in and frowned. "You're a guest, you shouldn't cook." He moved around the counter she was on, to be in front of her.

- "I love cooking and honestly, even though Adam is getting better, I don't trust any of you to cook alone." Maddie replied, without looking at him.

- "Not even me?" The genius boy crossed his arms, amused.

- "I do trust you not to poison me, but you said that you prefer to bake than cook." The alien girl replied.

I said that three months, ago. He smiled. She remembered.

- "That is true, but you still shouldn't cook." Chase said. "Besides, you prefer to bake too."

- "I do, but I'm gonna cook, anyway. Now, do you want to help me or not?" Maddie looked at him in the eyes.

The genius boy snickered.

- "I'll help you." He rolled up his sleeves and washed his hands. He walked next to her. "Now, what?"

- "Peel the potatoes while I cut them." The genius girl explained.

- "Whatever you say, boss." The Davenport boy smirked.

Say that again. She looked down at the potatoes.

She is so pretty. Chase looked at her. No. She's my friend. He looked away from his best friend. Friend. Just friend. He, then, looked at her, again. But she's really pretty. The boy smiled softly.

Maddie turned her head and saw the Davenport boy looking at her. She smiled, and he blushed brightly, before, looking at his hands.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A little while before bed, the trio was in the lab. The bionic girl was looking at a pamphlet. The genius was sitting at a computer. The tall guy was writing on a white board.

- "Australia looks interesting. But I'd really like to check out New York." Bree said.

- "Yeah, well, maybe someday when we're older..." Chase started but before, he finished, Bree super speeded away. "Or now." He shrugged. "And what are you up to?" He turned to Adam.

- "I am combining foods. See, butterscotch pudding and tomatoes is probably a no, but being home alone and doing whatever I want is a huge yes, so I'm gonna do it anyway!" The oldest Davenport explained and dipped a tomato in butterscotch. He took a bite. "Oh, that is bad." He replied and spit out in a paper towel.

That is so gross. The genius boy thought. Why did he think that would work?

- "Chase, what are you doing at Davenport's computer?" Leo asked as he walked in.

- "I'm pulling a prank on him." Chase chuckled. "The next time he checks his bank account, it's gonna be in euros! Bam!" He exclaimed. "Same value, but still funny, right?" He turned back to the computer.

- "No." The short boy pulled his brother away from the computer.

- "No, no..." The latter took the keyboard with him.

- "Give it to me." The Dooley boy grabbed the keyboard.

Fun killer. The genius boy thought.

Bree super speeded back wearing new clothes, a new hairstyle, long nails and makeup. The boys looked at her with wide eyes.

What is she wearing? He thought.

- "Where were you?" Leo asked.

- "Well, I was headed to New York City, but I got stuck in Jersey." She replied with an accent. "Check out my bling." She showed her earrings. "Boom! How's ya like them sparklers?"

- "Bree, look what you did! You got butterscotch pudding all over my broccoli!" The tall guy exclaimed, upset, but ate it, anyway. "What a delicious mistake!"

- "Aw, I'm sorry, Adam. I meant to get it on your face!" The bionic girl flung a spoonful of pudding at her older brother. Leo and Adam ducked, and it landed on the genius boy's forehead. "Ho ho! Boom, I'm throwin' puddin' here!"

- "Oh, look! Chase and pudding! I hadn't thought of that combo!" The oldest reached his hand out to touch his brother's forehead.

Chase slapped it away.

- "Bree, you are goin' down." He threatened as he got up.

- "Bring it!" Bree challenged. "Adam, hold my hoops!" She took off her earrings and gave them to her older brother.

The youngest bionics siblings started gathering food to throw at each other.

- "Hey! Hey, hey, hey!" Leo got in between them. "Stop! I really need this week to go well for me."

- "Chill out, Leo. What's the big deal? We're just having a little fun." The youngest replied. "Oh, we should go upstairs to have this food battle with Mads!"

- "Oooh, yeah!" The Davenport girl exclaimed.

- "I'm not having fun. And Dee is in her bed reading, if you bother her you will face her wrath." The short boy explained. "And if Davenport trusts me to stay home alone, then next he'll give me a project in the lab, and then he'll let me go on a mission with you. Don't you want me to go on missions with you?" He asked.

- "Ehh." Chase replied.

- "I guess." Adam shrugged.

- "Not so much." Bree said.

- "Okay, that's it. No more crazy foods, no more pranking Davenport, and no more breaking your curfew to go to New York." Leo pointed at each of the siblings.

- "Jersey! Whatever." The bionic girl replied, with her new accent. "This guy, what a nudge." She told her bionics brothers, who nodded.

- "Just get in your capsules and go to sleep." The Dooley boy pushed each of his siblings to their capsules. "I'll turn on a nightlight for you." He turned on a device and it powered up. "Kids." He shook his head and walked away.

- "Ohhh! Ew! It feels like my stomach just popped! Can I leave my door open a crack?" The oldest asked.

- "No." Chase and Bree replied.

The bionic girl closed her door.

- "All right, but it might blow open by itself." He shrugged and closed the door.

- "I'm gonna wash my face, real quick." The genius boy went in the elevator.

He walked towards the sink in the kitchen. He took a towel and wetted it.

- "What's on your head?" Maddie walked in.

- "Bree threw pudding at Adam, but he dodged." Chase explained as he took off the pudding on his forehead and hair. "So, it hit me."

- "They had a food battle, now?" The alien girl walked closer to her best friend.

- "Yeah." The Davenport boy chuckled. "Adam's room is a mess."

- "Not surprised." The Matthews girl snickered.

- "Did I take off everything?" The genius boy, fully, turned to the girl.

- "Nope." Maddie laughed. "You still have a little bit in your hair."

Chase tried to take the rest of the pudding, without succeeding.

- "What about now?" He asked.

- "Still no." The alien girl laughed.

This is great. I look ridiculous in front of her. The Davenport boy sighed.

- "Just give me the towel." The Matthews girl went to take the towel.

Their fingers brushed against each others as they looked at each other in the eyes. Neither of them dared to move.

I wish we could stay like that. She thought.

I want to stay here, with her, forever. He thought.

Chase let go and smiled shyly. Maddie wetted the towel and again, before taking it closer to his hair.

The alien girl, delicately, wiped the pudding left, without looking at his eyes.

The genius boy never looked away from her. He looked at every part of her beautiful face.

Wow, we've never been this close. He thought. She smells so good. She smells like... He breathed in her scent. Vanilla and red roses.

- "Here you go." The Matthews girl smiled.

- "Thank you, Mads." The Davenport smiled back.

- "My pleasure." Maddie gave him the towel back. "Good night, Chase." She kissed his cheek and walked away.

His skin is so smooth. She thought. Why did I do that? Oh my god, I'm gonna ruin everything!

Chase felt red on his cheeks and millions of butterflies in his stomach, even though, he didn't know what this feeling was.

Yet.

I want her to do that, again. He thought. Her lips are so soft.

- "Good night, Mads!" He yelled after her, when he finally reconnected with the real world.

She turned around and waved, smiling, before disappearing in the hallway.

The genius boy smiled widely and walked back to the lab.

- "What's got you smiling like that?" Adam smirked.

- "N... nothing." The youngest boy went to his capsule, blushing, and changed into his pajamas. "Goodnight."

- "Uh-uh." The oldest frowned, smiling. "Goodnight."

Saturday, 29th June 2013

Around 2am, an invention of Donald called the 'LEMP' beeped, and sent out a pulse across the room.

An alarm started going off, waking up the bionic trio.

Bree and Chase got out of their capsule when Adam started sobbing. They walked up to him and hugged him.

- "Shhh, it's okay Adam." The genius boy whispered against the tall guy's shoulder.

- "I'm sure it's nothing." The bionic girl moved her hand up and down her older brother's back.

When the oldest stopped sobbing, the trio started partying around the lab.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Suddenly, a while later, Bree started bouncing around the room and then, super speeded away.

- "What the heck?" Chase yelled. "I can't see anything!"

- "Anything see can't you mean you do what?" Adam asked.

- "What?" The genius boy snickered.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

In the morning, Leo walked in the lab, whistling.

- "Good morn... Aaahh!" He yelled.

The entire lab was a mess, papers were all over the floor, and the chairs were upside down. Adam was chilling out in the inflatable raft on the floor in the middle of the room, and Chase was standing in a corner.

- "Leo? Leo? Is that you?" The genius boy asked, turning his back at his brothers.

- "What happened? All Dee and I did was go to sleep!" The short boy shouted.

- "Leo, something happened to my vision. I can only see pixels." The youngest explained, before tripping and falling. "I'm okay." He groaned, in pain.

- "Buddy up what's?" The tall guy asked, excited.

- "He sounds different." The Dooley boy said.

Chase got up with difficulty.

- "Yeah, that's 'cause he can only speak backwards." He chuckled. "It was fun for about the first five minutes, now I just want to rip his head off." He replied, seriously.

The oldest nodded.

- "Wait. Wait, where's Bree? And if you say she went to Paris for crêpes, I'm gonna lose it!" Leo said, angrily.

The genius boy grabbed onto the short boy's shoulders.

- "I don't know where she is. Something woke us up in the middle of the night, she started bouncing around the room like a pinball, and I haven't seen her since." He explained. "I haven't seen anything since." He shrugged.

- "I'm gonna..." Leo said as Chase tried to touch Leo's face. "All right. Okay. Okay, I'm gonna..." Adam grabbed his younger brother's arms to pull them away from the short boy's face. "I'm gonna call her, and I'm gonna get her back. Call Bree." He ordered the computer and Bree answered the phone in face time. "Bree! No! Please don't tell me you've gone back in time."

- "No! I just woke up and started running." The bionic girl explained. "The next thing I knew, I was in the middle of the desert, my feet were smoking, and my navigation system was all goofed up. My phone's about to die! What am I gonna do...?" The call cut out.

- "Bree! Bree!" The Dooley boy yelled.

- "Oh-uh." The oldest exclaimed.

- "Guys, a little help here, please." The genius boy asked as he turned around in a corner.

Adam and Leo helped their brother getting out of the corner.

- "All right, and... There you go, buddy." The short boy said.

The oldest shoved Chase across the room.

- "Uhhhh!" He yelled when he hit the ground.

Adam laughed loudly.

The Dooley boy shook his head and went to help his brother off the floor.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A loud beeping was heard in the lab.

- "What the heck is that?" Leo asked.

- "Well, it's either Mr. Davenport's radon gas alarm, or it's his emergency phone." Chase explained, but his brothers didn't move. "And being that none of us have passed out yet, it's his emergency phone!" He shouted.

Adam walked over to answer the phone, but the short boy stopped him.

- "Oh. No! Hey. Hey." Leo answered the phone. "Davenport Industries, home of the little man's big dreams. Leo speaking. How may I help you?" He grinned.

- "Leo! What's going on?" Donald asked.

- "Not a thing. Watching cartoons, eating cereal. You know, Saturday morning things." The short replied.

- "Cartoons watch want too I!" The tall guy exclaimed.

The genius boy, quickly, covered his older brother's mouth.

- "Was that Adam? Let me talk to him." The father said.

- "Um... no, it's the TV. I'm watching Captain Backwards. He saves the day in the beginning and does all the boring stuff at the end. It's a terrible show. I don't know why I watch it." Leo lied.

- "Could you pass the phone to Maddison?" The scientist asked.

- "I wouldn't. It's only 9am, she's probably still sleeping. I won't risk getting my head rip off." The Dooley boy explained.

I have no doubt. Chase snickered.

- "And Chase?" Donald questioned.

- "He's doing waffles, since Dee cooked last night." Leo replied.

Well, it's not a lie. I was going to. The genius boy thought.

- "Alright. What about Bree? Is she around?" The scientist asked.

- "No. You know girls. She's knee-deep in makeup and unicorns." The Dooley boy said, before whispering to himself. "What am I saying?"

- "Look, Leo, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to unplug the LEMP on the console." The father said.

- "'LEMP'." Tasha snickered.

- "Oh. You mean the nightlight?" The short boy replied.

- "It's not a nightlight. It's a localized electromagnetic pulse." Donald explained. "Please tell me you did not turn it on." He begged.

- "No." Leo lied as he unplugged the LEMP. "No, I did not. Um... I should go. Tell my mommy I love her."

He did not just say that. Chase slapped his forehead.

- "Aw, I will. Okay." The father smiled.

- "What did he say?" The mother asked.

- "He said, "tell my mommy I love her"." The scientist said.

- "He said "mommy"? He's hiding something." Tasha replied with a serious tone. "Turn this plane around. Turn this plane around!" She shouted and, then, grabbed her husband's arm to pull him down. "Leo! We are coming home right now!" She yelled in the earpiece he had.

The phone call ended.

- "They're coming home right now." Leo told his brothers.

- "What?" Adam shouted.

- ""Tell my mommy I love her"?" Chase questioned.

- "I'm sorry. When I freak out, I talk baby talk. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go upstairs to take a night-night with my binky." The short boy started to walk away.

- "Go get him." The mission leader ordered his older brother.

The tall guy grabbed Leo's arm and pulled him back in the lab, in front of Chase.

- "Leo, how could you turn on the LEMP?" The genius boy asked as he grabbed onto his brother's arms. "It's a giant glitch machine! That's what goofed us all up!"

- "Ohhhh. So this is one of those things that Davenport talks about we're not supposed to touch?" The Dooley boy asked. The bionic brothers nodded. "Good to know... Good to know." He said, softly.

- "Look, we have to fix this before they get home and Mads notices we're not upstairs." Chase explained. "I'll locate Bree's signal and send her the coordinates so she can find her way back." He pressed buttons on the console.

- "I thought you couldn't see." Leo replied.

- "Oh, Leo." The genius boy chuckled. "Genius has no boundaries."

- "Well, it's good to see that your lack of sight hasn't taken away from your sense of superiority." The short boy, sarcastically, said. Chase sent the coordinates and the screen behind them turned on. "Oh, good, it's flashing "Signal Received." But what are we gonna do about you guys?"

- "Well, Mr. Davenport did install an emergency video file on my internal hard drive." The youngest replied. "But we're only supposed to watch it in an emergency."

- "Oh, up wake!" Adam slapped his youngest brother's shoulder. "Emergency it is this!" He grabbed the genius boy's hand and a USB drive came out of one of his fingers.

A video of Donald was projected on one of the screens.

- "So if you're watching this, I must have gone to that big hard drive in the sky. How could this have happened? I was so young!" The father cried. "Look at me! I was so beautiful and talented and smart... this is awful!"

- "Right about now, I'm sort of glad I can't see this." Chase sassed.

- "Is that really what he wore to say his final farewell? Slap on a suit, dude! You're on a stairway to heaven!" Leo exclaimed.

- "Now, you're probably in crisis, so first things first. If you didn't have time to have me cryogenically frozen, just chuck me in the fridge for now, it'll have to do." The scientist explained.

- "Don't you let him near my cold cuts!" The short boy told Adam.

- "Oh, and, uh, I would like you to play my super funeral mix at my service. Also, money is no object, so I'd like a super-huge blow-out, you know, something befitting a man as awesome as I... was." Donald started to cry again. "I'm sorry. You guys must miss me so much!"

- "Is there a fast-forward?" The Dooley boy asked.

- "Yeah. There are different chapters." The genius boy swiped through the video.

- "Okay, searching, searching, searching..." Leo said. "Stop! There it is. "Someone Didn't LISTEN and Turned on the LEMP"."

- "Well, that's eerily specific." The youngest Davenport replied.

- "Get into the middle capsule with bare feet and press your hands against the sides of the cylinder. This connects the circuit, initiates a reboot, and will repair all damage." The father explained.

- "Okay. Once I restore my settings, we can get things back to normal before Tasha and Davenport get home and Mads wakes up." Chase explained. "And they'll never know how thoroughly and completely you messed up." He pointed to a wall.

The two brothers looked at the wall, frowning.

Adam shoved his youngest brother, into the capsule, bare feet and put his hands on the sides. It restored his settings.

- "So?" The Dooley boy asked.

- "Where am I? Who are you people?" The genius boy questioned, confused.

- "Oh, great!" Leo exclaimed, frustrated.

- "Ha! Just kidding." Chase smiled widely. "You're next." He pointed to his eldest brother.

- "Luck me wish." The tall guy replied.

The short boy rolled his eyes and pushed him towards the middle capsule. Adam started to take off his shoes.

- "Okay, if he's gonna take his shoes off, we might want to take a step back." The genius boy pulled Leo back with him.

The oldest got in the capsule and it restored his settings.

- "Whoo! I think I'm okay." He sighed in relief. "Wait, my voice isn't coming out of my butt, is it?" He turned around and asked his brothers.

- "And he's back." The youngest Davenport smiled.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

The youngest Davenport was sitting on the couch, while the two others were cleaning everything upstairs.

- "Okay, everything's cleaned up. Now all we need is Bree." Leo put down a throw pillow on the couch.

- "No problem. I'm tracking her right now." Chase replied. "According to this, she should be here any minute."

Bree super speeded in.

- "That took forever. My phone died, and I had to buy a map, a paper map." She complained. "I mean, do you know how hard it is to fold this thing up?" She, angrily, threw the map on the floor.

- "A map? Didn't you get the coordinates I sent you?" The genius boy asked.

- "What coordinates? I didn't get any coordinates." The bionic girl frowned.

- "Wait. If Bree's here, then what are you tracking?" Adam questioned.

- "I don't know. It's probably just a bird." The youngest Davenport shrugged, before a drone crashed through the window and landed in the living room. The four jumped in fear. In the other side of the mansion, Maddie used her super speed to get ready and ran, towards the crashing sound. "Or not. Guys, this is one of Mr. Davenport's drones." He explained. "I must have sent it the coordinates instead of Bree!" He sighed.

What the hell happened? The alien girl thought when she saw the siblings around a drone and broken glass.

- "Oh, yeah. A giant flying piece of metal and a teenage girl, I see how you can get that messed up." The Dooley boy sassed.

- "I messed it up because my vision was impaired by you, Mr. Touchy-Stuffy Mommy-Misser." Chase mocked.

Oh my god. She thought.

- "Chase, let's not play the blame game." The short boy put his hand in front of his brother's face.

- "Leo, what did you do?" The Matthews girl asked when she pretended to just walk in. "Forget it, I don't wanna know." She raised her hands in the air and walked next to Chase.

- "Why do you immediately assume it's my fault?" Leo questioned.

- "Because it is!" The genius boy yelled. "Chaos Dooley strikes again." He whispered in his best friend's ear, who chuckled.

Good lord. Shivers ran down Maddie's back when she felt his breath against her skin.

- "What did you say?" The Dooley boy asked.

- "Nothing." The Matthews girl smiled.

- "Guys, this drone controls all of Mr. Davenport's GPS technology, including the plane that he's flying on right now." Chase explained.

- "You've got to be kidding me." The alien girl slapped her forehead.

- "What? Why would he keep the command center for all of his technology flying around in the sky?" The short boy asked.

- "Probably because you're down here." The youngest Davenport replied.

- "Smart man." Maddie said.

Leo looked at the two geniuses, offended.

Leo and Bree cleaned up the glass; while Maddie helped Adam put the drone on the kitchen counter.

Chase was working on the drone.

- "All right, that's the last of the broken glass." The bionic girl said.

- "And the drone is fixed." The genius boy smiled, proudly.

- "You did a great job, Chase." The alien girl praised.

- "Thanks." The youngest Davenport blushed brightly.

- "Go ahead, Chase, hop in." The tall guy laughed. "That's a joke, 'cause you're so tiny."

When Maddie was going to defend him, Chase grabbed her forearm to stop her.

- "Aw. Yet my brain is still twice the size of yours." The youngest Davenport smiled widely.

The Matthews girl snickered.

- "Oh, yeah? Well... I-I..." The oldest stuttered.

- "Mm-hmm?" The genius boy asked.

- "Yeah, you got me." Adam sighed.

- "That's a good one." Maddie whispered to Chase, who smiled.

The two geniuses high-fived.

- "What about the window?" Bree asked.

- "We'll deal with that later. Let's focus on getting Adam and the drone outside so we can launch it off the roof and back into the sky." Leo explained as he opened the front door and then slammed it. "They're walking up the driveway! They are walking up the driveway!" He shouted.

- "Shit." The genius girl said and then, looked at Chase. "You can say 'language', later. Come on, Adam, let's go."

Adam grabbed the drone and ran out to go to the roof with Maddie. The alien girl reset the coordinates when they were on the roof.

The drone flew away.

- "Yes!" The tall guy hugged her, strongly.

- "Good job, big guy." The Matthews girl smiled.

Meanwhile, in the living room, after the trio looked at Adam and Maddie leaving, they stood still waiting for their parents.

- "She knows you." The bionic girl chuckled.

- "Yeah." The genius boy smiled fondly.

Donald and Tasha walked in.

- "You are on the list, cupcake!" Eddy said, loudly.

- "Okay!" The mother yelled.

- "Hey, what do you know? The house is in one piece." The father replied.

- "Welcome home, mommy." Leo grimaced and hugged her.

- "Okay..." She replied, suspicious. "What are you guys up to?"

- "Just chillin'. Ya know." Bree said. "We didn't do anything. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. You two, always so suspicious." She looked at the long nails and, quickly, hid her hands behind her back.

- "Hmm. I don't smell any fires and no one's in a full body cast." The scientist observed. "Wait, where are Adam and Maddison?"

- "Adam and Mads? Uh, Adam and Mads are..." Chase replied.

The two walked in.

- "Right here warming up your welcome home hugs. Bring it in, peoples!" The tall guy hugged the parents. "Ooh! Okay." He walked away.

- "Yeah, welcome back, since yesterday." The alien girl, sarcastically, said.

The parents rolled their eyes.

- "Well, I guess we overreacted." Donald sighed.

- "Right. I will go reschedule our trip to Australia. This time on a big plane with an actual pilot." Tasha said to her husband.

- "Whatever you say, honey." He, quickly, kissed her lips.

The parents walked away, smiling.

- "That was close." Leo sighed.

- "Wait, we forgot to reset the coordinates." Chase said, panicked.

- "No, Maddie did it on the roof." Adam replied.

- "Really?" The genius boy turned to the girl on his right.

- "Yeah." The genius girl smiled.

- "Thank you." Bree sighed and hugged her.

- "Yes, thank you." The youngest Davenport smiled back.

- "You're welcome." The alien girl said. "Come on, guys." The two girls opened their arms.

Adam, Chase and Leo, quickly, agreed and hugged the girls.

Maddie was next to the genius boy.

It was the first time they hugged since the weird robot hug in January.

Feels nice. She thought.

Later in the lab, Donald walked up to his kids.

- "So nothing happened while I was gone?" He asked.

- "No, nothing." Adam replied.

- "Yep, nothing." Chase shrugged.

- "Nothing." The father laughed. "Ahh. Anybody want to see a slide show?" He asked.

The four looked, excited.

- "Ooh! Is it Australia?" Bree asked.

- "No!" The scientist laughed. "It's my surveillance cameras that show everybody's movements throughout the entire house." The oldest Davenport chuckled, while his siblings' smiles dropped. Donald swiped through various photos of them partying in the lab. ""Huh. I never thought of using my priceless guitar as a hammer"." He showed a picture of Adam, Bree, and Chase using his guitars. ""Hey, what happens if I stick my head in here?"." He showed a picture of the bionic brother putting their heads between the lab's doors. ""Now that my hair's big, I can get on all the rides!"." The next picture was his daughter when she came back from New Jersey. ""Here we are exploring the deep, dark waters of idiocy"." Adam and Chase were in the inflatable raft on the cyber desk.

Donald laughed loudly, before stopping and glaring at his children.

- "So..." Leo started.

- "Uh, so, you're all grounded forever!" The father cackled and walked away.

Great. The genius boy, sarcastically, thought.
