A month later, Maddie woke up before her boyfriend, both only wearing their underwear.
She looked down to see him sleeping on top of her, his face nuzzled between her naked breasts.
- "Chase..." She whispered as she massaged his scalp. "My love..."
Chase moaned softly.
- "I need to go to CatCo." The quadbrid murmured.
- "No." The bionic boy said.
The Matthews girl snickered, her chest rising underneath his face.
- "No?" She repeated.
- "You heard me." The Davenport boy replied.
- "Chase, I stayed in bed with you until..." The blue-eyed girl looked at the screen of her phone. "7:50. I need to go."
- "Can't you call in sick?" The green hazel-eyed boy raised his head to look at her.
- "I can't. I have work to do." Maddie frowned. "Besides, James knows about my powers."
- "Then, tell him that the Elite Force needs you for an important mission." Chase said.
- "Important mission?" The quadbrid snickered. "That is..."
- "Cuddling your boyfriend and let him eat you out." The bionic boy replied.
The Matthews girl pressed her lips together, amused and aroused.
- "No." She shook her head. "You won't make me stay like this."
- "What if I do this?" The Davenport boy flicked his tongue over her nipple.
The blue-eyed girl moaned softly, making her boyfriend smirk.
- "No." She switched their positions so she could straddle his hips. She pinned his wrists next to his head. "No. I have work. You can't do that. It's forbidden."
The green hazel-eyed boy pushed his hips up to let her feel how hard he was as he grinned.
Maddie sighed.
- "You're not playing fair." She said.
- "Says the evilest woman in the universe." Chase scoffed, amused.
The quadbrid rolled her eyes.
- "You love it." She lowered her face to his.
- "I do." The bionic boy glanced at her lips.
- "You want a kiss?" The Matthews girl smirked.
- "You know I do." The Davenport boy nodded.
- "Well, you don't deserve one." The blue-eyed girl let go of his wrists and hopped off the bed.
She rushed into the bathroom without closing the door as she giggled.
- "What the..." The green hazel-eyed boy frowned. "Get back here!" He chuckled as he followed her inside, before closing the door behind himself.

A few minutes later, Maddie arrived at CatCo.
She walked to her desk and sat down.
- "You're never late. What happened to you?" Mia whispered as she leaned towards her best friend.
- "Chase happened." The Matthews girl whispered.
The Krillin woman chuckled.
- "Meaning?" She smirked.
- "He wouldn't let me go." The quadbrid sighed, amused.
- "That's cute." The Agotarian smiled.
- "Not when you know why I'm late." Maddie scoffed.
- "What?" Mia frowned.
- "He ate me out." The Matthews girl murmured.
- "Damn." The Krillin woman's eyes widened. "He loves doing that." She snickered.
- "It's not funny." The quadbrid smiled as she shook her head. "Since I'm a Daxamite, I can come as many times as I want without ever being overstimulated, and he's enjoying this a little too much."
- "He's addicted." The Agotarian shrugged. "He's eating you like you're a five-star meal." She laughed.
Maddie rolled her eyes.
- "Anyway..." She smirked. "How was Kaz?"
- "How did you know?" Mia, slightly, blushed.
- "You look fucked." The Matthews girl said.
- "Oh, shut up." The Krillin woman scoffed as she blushed more.
The quadbrid chuckled softly.
- "Just go back to work." The Agotarian replied.
- "Yes, ma'am." Maddie saluted.
Mia rolled her eyes, amused.
- "I'll tell you at lunch." She smirked.
The Matthews girl snickered as she nodded.

Later, the two heroines received an alert for a hostile alien at Simmons Square.
She was a 5'7 black woman with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, which turned bright purple when she was using her powers.
Two cars were thrown away by her powers and the two heroines caught them in the air, right before they crashed into a building.
Everyone cheered for them.
- "Hey, where'd the alien go?" Winn asked his best friend. "She's gone."
- "I don't know." James shook his head.
The two heroines put the cars down.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, everyone, except Supergirl, was at the D.E.O.
- "Authorities are investigating a targeted alien terrorist attack that occurred earlier today." A reporter said on TV. "Law enforcement has no leads on the identity of the alien or motive, but tensions are on the rise as fear of another attack..."
Alex turned it off.
- "If the news keeps stirring up fear, there's gonna be a witch hunt for whoever this alien is." J'onn added.
- "Things could get out of hand very fast." The Danvers woman continued.
- "Okay. So, we figured out what kind of alien she is." Winn said.
- "She's a Phorian." Maddie added.
- "A what?" The right hand frowned.
- "I never realized any had taken refuge here on Earth." The green Martian replied. "Historically, they're a peaceful race of aliens."
- "Today, not so peaceful." James continued.
- "Thank God, Supergirl and GreatGirl were there." Alex sighed. "Hundreds could've been hurt. Thanks, Maddie."
- "You're welcome." The Matthews girl smiled, shyly.
- "Normally, their telekinetic powers are benign. I've never heard of a Phorian doing so much damage." J'onn frowned.
- "And they're also telepathic like Martians. They are connected through their thoughts." The quadbrid explained.
- "Do you think more of them will attack?" The Danvers woman asked.
- "For now, let's just treat this as a lone-wolf situation." The J'onzz man said.
- "So, how do we find her?" The Olsen man questioned.
- "Supergirl and Mon-El are out surveying the city to see if they can come up with anything." The green Martian replied.
- "I'm gonna go help them." Maddie said.
J'onn nodded.
- "I'd be happy to help. I can get out there and see if there's any leads." The photograph suggested.
- "Mr. Olsen, you've been very helpful. This is a D.E.O. matter." The J'onzz man replied. "We'll let you know if we need Guardian's skill set, but for now..."
- "I got it." James walked away.
The Matthews girl pressed her lips together. Awkward. She walked away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, after a long day of surveying the city, the trio did not find the alien.
They all went to their respective homes.
The Matthews siblings walked into the penthouse.
- "Hey, guys. How was your day?" Bree asked.
- "Exhausting." Mon-El laid on the couch. "We spent all afternoon looking for a ghost."
Marie and Maxwell jumped on the couch and started to lick his face, making him laugh.
- "He's exaggerating." Maddie rolled her eyes. "It wasn't that hard."
Chase walked up to his best friend and handed him a bottle of water.
- "Thanks, man." The Matthews man said.
The bionic boy nodded and walked up to his girlfriend with a wide smile.
He, gently, kissed her cheek.
- "Hey." He whispered.
- "Hey." The quadbrid smiled softly.
The couple was happy to be able to show signs of affection in front of the others, since they had been doing this for years.
- "Hey, Maddie." Kaz walked down the stairs.
- "Hey." The Matthews girl replied.
- "We're going with Ezra to get ice cream, anybody wants to join?" Oliver proposed.
- "Me!" The Daxamite jumped off the couch.
- "I thought you were exhausted?" The hybrid frowned.
- "Not for ice cream." Mon-El shook his head.
Maddie chuckled.
- "Let's go, buddy." The Karev man said. "Chase?"
- "Go without me." The Davenport boy replied.
- "Alright." The Evers boy nodded.
The three men walked away.
- "Anyway, I'm going back to Skylar. She's waiting for me to watch a movie." The Davenport girl walked upstairs.
Chase smirked at his girlfriend.
The quadbrid put a shield around her boyfriend and herself.
The bionic boy pulled her closer, crashing his lips against hers.
The Matthews girl wrapped her arms around his neck.
- "I missed you." The Davenport boy whispered against her lips, after he pulled away.
- "I missed you too." The blue-eyed girl smiled.
- "I can take you out?" The green hazel-eyed boy asked.
- "Now?" Maddie frowned.
- "Yes." Chase nodded. "Just a little date, eating ice cream while walking along the beach. What do you say?"
- "Let's go." The quadbrid took his hand and put down the shield.
The bionic boy smiled and walked out with her.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Rhea was finishing dinner with her partner.
- "Today was just our first test. You can't expect it to be perfect on the first attempt." She said.
- "I quadruple checked my calculations on this, okay? The reaction of the polyatomic anions was supposed to be strong enough to spark the core of the generator." Lena replied.
- "Neither of us has gotten to where we are without persistence." The Daxamite smiled softly.
- "If I can't make this work, we won't be able to power the portal that we're building." The Luthor woman explained. "This was supposed to revolutionize the way everything was transported, eliminate famine, the need for fossil fuels. I wanted to help my planet. And get you home to yours."
- "And you will." The Queen put her hand on top of hers. "You're making advancements in science that most people on Earth could not even dream of. No one said it would be easy."
- "What if I can't make it work? What if I can't get you home?" The scientist asked.
- "I have confidence in you, Lena." Rhea smiled, before getting up. "I am going to the test facility to check the progress of the portal. I know you don't believe it yet." She put her hand on the youngest's face. "But you're going to make this work." She caressed her cheek.
Lena smiled.
The Daxamite smiled back and walked away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, the four men were walking down the street with their ice creams.
- "Chocolate is THE best flavor." Kaz said.
- "Absolutely not." Mike shook his head. "Vanilla is."
- "Caramel." Ezra corrected.
- "No, babe." Oliver shook his head.
The DiLaurentis boy frowned at him.
- "I love you, but you have terrible taste." The Evers boy said.
The curly-haired boy gasped, offended.
The eldest boy kissed his cheek.
Ezra turned his head and kissed his lips.
- "Keep it for the bedroom." The Karev boy pushed them away from each other, making them roll their eyes.
The Matthews man chuckled, until he noticed Rhea coming out of the restaurant.
He frowned and tried to get closer, but a man bumped into him, making his ice cream fall onto the ground.
- "Wh... Dude!" He exclaimed, before looking back at the entry of the restaurant.
His mother was nowhere to be seen.
- "What an ass." Oliver frowned.
- "You're okay, dude?" The brown-eyed boy asked.
- "Yeah." The Daxamite nodded, puzzled.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the two genius teleported into his bedroom.
- "That was great." Maddie smiled as she took off her heels.
- "Agreed." Chase nodded.
- "I love just hanging with you." The quadbrid hugged his waist as she buried her face into the crook of his neck.
The bionic boy smiled widely as he wrapped his arms around her back, his hand slowly caressing her hair.
- "Me too, baby." He whispered. "Me too."
After a couple of minutes, they pulled away.
- "I'm gonna take a shower." The Matthews girl said and walked backwards towards the bathroom. "Do you care to join me?" She smirked.
The Davenport boy, slightly, blushed as he smiled.
- "You know, darling, there are dozens of weapons in Mission Command? If I ever say 'no' to that question, I want you to use them on me." He replied as he unbuttoned his flannel.
- "Alrighty then." The blue-eyed girl snickered as she slid down her skirt.
The green hazel-eyed boy grinned as his eyes roamed down her body.
Maddie was only wearing a bodysuit.
She unbuttoned it, before sliding up her head, revealing her naked body.
Chase gulped as his cock hardened.
- "Don't be too long." The quadbrid turned around and walked into the bathroom.
The bionic boy, quickly, took off his shoes, socks, and belt.
He started to take off his pants as he walked up to her, before stumbling.
The Matthews girl chuckled as she turned on the water.
- "Be careful." She said.
The Davenport boy blushed brightly, embarrassed as he slid down his pants and his boxers, revealing his thick, long, hard cock.
The blue-eyed girl glanced down, before smirking and entering the shower.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled as he followed her.
He closed the door behind himself, before Maddie pulled him into a slow kiss.
Chase wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him.
Their naked bodies pressed against each other as the water ran down their skins, and their kiss became more sensual.

Tuesday, 30th May 2017
The next day, early in the morning, Maddie woke up alone in her bed.
She frowned and saw a note on the pillow next to hers, with a bouquet of red and white roses on the nightstand behind in a vase.
- "Aw. My love." She smiled and leaned to the roses, sniffing them. "Best boyfriend. EVER."
The quadbrid took the note.
- "'Good morning, darling. Sorry, I woke up early, and I stayed with you a long time, but I needed to get to work. I'm in Mission Command if you need me. I love you. Your boyfriend, Chase. I know that you know it was me, but I just love writing it.'" She chuckled as she read. "He's so cute."
The Matthews girl, quickly, got up and got dressed.
She walked down the stairs to go towards where her boyfriend was, but she received a message from the D.E.O.
- "Oh, come on." She frowned as she looked at it.
Maddie texted her boyfriend. 'Good morning and sorry, babe. I got called at the D.E.O. I can't come to say 'hi'.'
She teleported to her workplace.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, she was with the men of the D.E.O. watching Alex talk to the son of the alien, who attacked the day before.
His name was Marcus, and he was a 4'10 black boy with black eyes and black hair.
- "We've been in here a long time." The Danvers woman said. "You must be hungry." She looked at the plate with the two hamburgers, before taking a bite in one of them. "Mmm. This is a really good burger."
The little boy used his powers to push the plate towards her with his mind.
- "Okay." The right hand frowned, amused. "I know you don't wanna be here with me. I'm just trying to help you, Marcus. I'm trying to help you and your mom. I promise you that. But the authorities are after her because she did a bad thing. And if you help us find her, then we can protect her from doing something bad to somebody else. So do you have any idea where she could be?"
- "Poor kid is terrified." Maddie frowned.
- "Maybe she should give him, like, some action figures." Winn suggested. "Right? Like, if somebody had given me action figures when they interrogated me about my dad when I was 10, like, I would... I would've sung like a canary. I'm just saying."
- "This kid is completely shut down. And pulling him into an interrogation room like some criminal off the street, I don't think, is the best way to get him to open up." James said.
- "So, you're not only a masked vigilante and a photographer, you're also a child psychologist now." J'onn replied.
Damn. The Matthews girl's eyes widened.
- "I'm just saying this kid's life has been upended badly. Okay, first, he's a refugee. Then his mom ends up missing. And if he's turned on the TV at all since yesterday, all he's seen are adults yelling about her, calling for blood. I wouldn't trust anybody, either, if I was this kid." The Olsen man explained.
Alex walked out of the room.
- "James is right." She said. "I've been in there for hours, and all he does is just stare at the camera."
The photograph sighed and walked further away.
Marcus' gaze followed him through the wall.
- "He's looking at you." The quadbrid frowned.
James laughed.
- "At... At me? Through a wall, Maddie?" He asked.
Maddie went behind him and made him walk back to his original spot.
The little boy followed him.
- "He's an alien with telekinetic and telepathic powers." The Danvers woman said.
- "Hey, look at that." The Schott man smiled. "It's like the... The... The Mona Lisa."
- "You said that he connected with you." The Matthews girl continued.
- "He thought the Guardian was a monster, and then I took my helmet off, and I guess he saw someone who looked like him." The Olsen man explained.
- "He identified with you, James." The right hand added.
- "Are you saying you want Mr. Olsen to question the boy?" The J'onzz man frowned.
- "Well, Marcus doesn't trust me." Alex shook her head. "Okay? But he could trust James. I mean, out of here. In a more conducive environment."
- "We have to find his mother before she attacks again." The quadbrid said. "And I'm not forcing his mind. I don't want to hurt him."
- "If I can help this kid, I'd like to." The photograph replied.
- "Alright." The green Martian nodded. "Take the day, see if you can find out where the boy's mother is. We'll check in with you later."
The two eldest walked away.
- "Hey..." The tech guy called out. "You'll be good with him." He walked away.
- "It's gonna work, James." Maddie said.
- "How do you know?" James questioned.
- "I can see the way he's looking at you." The Matthews girl replied. "It's gonna work. And you are gonna manage to make him open up and talk again." She smiled softly.
- "Thanks, Maddie." The Olsen man nodded.
- "You're welcome." The quadbrid walked away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, Winn sat at his desk as Maddie was leaning against the cyber desk, texting Harper.
- "Hey, buddy." Mon-El walked up to him. "Hey, sis." He kissed her temple.
- "Hey." The Matthews girl smiled softly.
- "Hey!" The Schott man exclaimed.
- "Uh... Hey, scanning is a thing you, like... You do here, right?" The Daxamite asked.
- "Why?" The quadbrid questioned.
- "No reason." Mon-El shrugged, nervously. "So?"
Maddie frowned. What the hell?
- "Yes." The tech guy nodded. "Yes. Here at the D.E.O., we scan for many things."
- "Mmm-hmm. So, you could, like... You could, like, press a button, and it would scan the Earth's orbit for, like, our parents' ship?" The Matthews man asked.
The Matthews girl frowned, in worry.
- "I certainly could, but I already did that when they led us back to Earth." Winn explained. "I tracked their progress as they went out of Earth's atmosphere and flew away to Daxam. Bye-bye."
- "Can you show me how you did that?" The Daxamite questioned.
- "Yeah." The Schott man typed on the computer. "See? Look. It's a bunch of satellites. The skies are clear."
Thank God. The quadbrid thought.
- "Yeah. Good. That's... That's what I thought." Mon-El sighed, in relief. "It's good." He whispered. "Thanks, man." He walked away.
- "You're welcome, bud." The tech guy replied.
Maddie followed her brother.
- "What's wrong?" She asked as she stopped him.
- "I thought I saw my mom last night." The Matthews man said.
- "What? Why didn't you tell me?" The Matthews girl frowned.
- "I wanted to, but when I came back, you weren't there." The Daxamite shrugged. "Skylar said that you went out with Chase."
- "I'm sorry." The quadbrid sighed.
- "Don't be." Mon-El wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "I'm glad to see you fully happy."
Maddie smiled.
- "It's not because I'm happy to with the Davenports again that you can't call me when you are worried." She said.
- "I know." The Matthews man nodded. "I just wanted to leave you alone."
- "There is no 'leave you alone' in this family. You're my brother. We are in this together." The Matthews girl continued.
The Daxamite smiled softly.
- "I love you." He added.
- "I love you too." The quadbrid replied.
- "So... We can talk about anything?" Mon-El asked.
- "Yes." Maddie nodded.
- "Did you tell Chase yet?" The Matthews man smirked.
The Matthews girl rolled her eyes.
- "Not yet." She said.
- "Leo's right. You are a lost cause." The Daxamite shook his head, in despair.
The quadbrid stuck out her tongue at him.
Mon-El laughed.
Maddie smiled.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Lena activated her portal, but sparks came out, making her throw the tablet on the desk, frustrated.
- "Still isn't working?" Rhea walked up to her.
- "Was it me throwing it down in disgust, or the sparks that gave it away?" The Luthor woman asked.
- "Can you give us a minute?" The Daxamite turned to several employees, who nodded and walked away. "Failure is a part of the process, Lena." She put her hand on the youngest's back. "I told you this was going to take time."
- "It's not about time. I'm just not getting it." The scientist exhaled, irritated. "You know, maybe we should pay a visit to Stryker Island. Get Lex Luthor to come in and save the day." She, sarcastically, said.
- "You think HE could get this working?" The Queen questioned.
- "Lex was the genius who was supposed to save the world. You know, I... I just thought if I could make this work, I would prove to the world and to my mother that I was as good as the golden boy. I think most of all, I just wanted to prove it to myself." Lena explained.
- "You don't have to prove anything." Rhea replied. "You're smarter than Lex."
The Luthor woman laughed.
- "No." The Daxamite shook her head. "I'm not saying that to make you feel better. I'm saying it as a scientist. As someone who knows. But you need to stop trying to think like your brother. From what you've told me about Lex, he's a man who's concerned with power. And that's how you've been trying to fix this. Give it more power, you think it will work."
- "Yeah, but it just keeps blowing." The scientist said.
The Queen put her hand on her arm.
- "But you're not a person who's consumed with power. Are you?" She asked. "So, if you weren't trying to do what Lex would do, what would YOU do?"
- "I'd try to find a way to increase the anion input without overloading the energy output. All while maintaining the element synthesis rate at a constant." Lena explained with a shrug.
- "Not power. Balance." Rhea replied.
The Luthor woman smiled widely.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Mike walked up to his girlfriend at her desk.
- "Hey!" He smiled as he was holding a paper bag.
- "Did we have a date?" Kara asked.
- "No, no, no, no." The Matthews man shook his head as he put it down on her desk. "No, I just thought I'd surprise you. We've got egg rolls and pot stickers, shumai."
- "Oh!" The Danvers woman smiled.
- "It's a veritable poo poo platter." The Daxamite said.
- "Whoo-hoo!" The Kryptonian exclaimed as she got up.
- "I love saying that. 'Poo poo platter'." Mike kissed her lips. Kara giggled. "Sorry."
- "Did you rip the seat off the toilet in my loft again, and now you're just bringing Chinese food so you don't get in trouble?" The Danvers woman walked around her desk to be closer to him.
- "That was once. That was one time." The Matthews man defended.
- "Mmm-hmm." The Kryptonian, sarcastically, nodded. "According to Chase, it happened one more time at the penthouse."
- "That little traitor." The Daxamite mumbled, making his girlfriend laugh. "And in my defense, you can be pretty scary when it comes to enforcing bathroom etiquette." He handed her an egg roll.
Kara chuckled as she took a bite.
- "No. I, um..." Mike sighed. "I thought I saw my mother last night." His girlfriend's face turned pale. "I didn't. Don't worry. I went and checked, and my parents' ship definitely had left for Daxam a few weeks ago. But thinking I saw her, it... I thought it would make me feel anger. But I felt, um... Other... Other stuff I just... I hate. I HATE that I still care about her."
- "Hey, we can't will ourselves to not feel anything." The Danvers woman frowned. "Life doesn't work like that."
- "On Daxam, that's exactly what we'd do. We'd drug ourselves, so we literally didn't feel anything." The Matthews man said.
- "You're allowed to miss her. She is your mother." The Kryptonian replied as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
- "I can't. Not after everything Rox has been through because of her." The Daxamite shook his head.
- "What happened between them is totally different from the mother you grew up with." Kara said.
- "Well, she's gone forever. So..." Mike shrugged.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, Maddie was on the balcony of CatCo with her best friend.
- "Hello, ladies." Chase walked up to them with paper bags.
- "Hey." Mia said as she, quickly, hugged him.
- "What are you doing here?" The Matthews girl smiled as she put a shield around them.
- "Well, since we couldn't see each other this morning, I thought I would come to surprise you." The bionic boy explained as he, quickly, kissed his girlfriend. "And I thought I would bring you, girls, food."
- "Aw, that's so sweet." The quadbrid replied. "Thank you, my love."
- "My savior!" The Krillin woman exclaimed as she took a bag.
The Davenport boy smiled.
- "You're welcome." He said.
- "Eat with us?" The Agotarian asked.
- "I would love to, Mia. But I still have work." Chase replied.
- "Aw, really?" Maddie frowned.
- "I know. I'm sorry, darling." The bionic boy kissed her cheek.
- "You'll see him tonight." Mia rolled her eyes.
- "You can't judge. You were depressed when you couldn't see Kaz for one day." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Yeah, but you, guys, are sleeping in the same bed every night." The Krillin woman raised her hands.
The couple rolled their eyes.
- "Anyway." The Davenport boy said. "I need to go."
- "Bye, Chasey." The Agotarian replied.
The quadbrid chuckled.
- "I told you to stop calling me that." Chase frowned.
- "And I told you that I will never." Mia smirked, before sitting down at a table.
The bionic boy rolled his eyes.
- "Why are we best friends with her?" He whispered to his girlfriend.
- "Because we love her?" Maddie raised her eyebrows.
- "But why?" The Davenport boy frowned.
- "No idea." The Matthews girl shrugged, amused.
- "I'm gonna miss you." Chase smiled softly.
- "Me too." The quadbrid smiled back.
- "Bye, baby." The bionic boy pulled her into a soft kiss.
Maddie smiled into the kiss as she caressed his cheeks.
- "Save some for later!" The Krillin woman exclaimed with her mouth full.
The couple pulled away.
The Matthews girl rolled her eyes, amused, as the Davenport boy blushed brightly.
- "I'm gonna go." He said, before walking away.
- "Poor guy." The quadbrid chuckled softly.
- "It's too easy." The Agotarian laughed.
Maddie rolled her eyes as she sat across from her best friend.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, Rhea walked up behind Lena, who was typing on a computer.
She noticed the older woman behind her and got up, smiling widely.
- "If my mother had given me pep talks like you, imagine the things I could've done." She said.
- "I'm happy to have mused you." The Daxamite replied. "But trust me, it isn't always easy being the parent we aspire to be. Shall we test it again?"
- "Let me just plug in the algorithm and fire it up." The Luthor woman walked away.
The Queen pushed a button and a window opened, showing the huge portal far away outside.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the two partners were getting ready for the test.
- "Here goes nothin'." Lena pushed all the buttons up.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, everything at CatCo started to shake and fly around.
Marcus' eyes were bright purple, like his mother's the day before.
- "What is your nephew doing?" Eve asked.
The lights started to explode.
- "Marcus." James took a step back.
The Teschmacher woman screamed.
The little boy continued to walk in trance.
The lights and decorations started to fall from the ceiling.
- "Marcus!" The Olsen man ran towards him, but Marcus used his powers to push him to the ground, without lifting a finger.
- "James!" The assistant yelled as she was hiding under a desk. "Someone help!"
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, Lena noticed that her portal was working.
- "Power is running smoothly to the core." She smiled. "Anions are reacting at a steady rate."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, Marcus started to levitate.
The four aliens rushed in the room.
- "Go!" Mike and Mia, simultaneously, yelled at the heroines, who ran away to put on their suits.
The little boy started to destroy everything.
- "Come on!" The Matthews man helped Eve up. "Go, go, go! Go! Get out of here!"
- "Come on, go!" The Krillin woman shouted as she pointed at the exit.
People ran out when a part of the ceiling fell towards James.
The Agotarian super speeded towards him and caught the ceiling, before it crashed on him.
- "You're okay?" She asked as she put it down.
- "Thanks to you." The Olsen man sighed. "The building is coming down!"
The entire building started to crack everywhere.
- "How do we stop him?" The Daxamite questioned.
The two heroines flew in and GreatGirl grabbed Marcus, before heading out.
She held him above the city to prevent him from destroying CatCo.
Supergirl helped everyone evacuate.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, the two women looked at the portal.
- "It's working." Rhea said.
Lena turned it down.
- "We did it." She smiled.
- "You did it." The Daxamite corrected.

In the meanwhile, Marcus came back to his senses and started to wiggle in GreatGirl's arms.
- "Oh, it's okay, baby. I've got you." She calmed him down. "I've got you. You're gonna be okay."
The little boy sighed as he held her arms tightly, afraid of letting go.
James looked from the balcony as he sighed, in relief.

Later, the heroes went to the D.E.O. and put Marcus in a cell to protect his mind from new attacks.
Poor baby. Maddie frowned.
- "He wasn't in control of himself. It was like something was in control of him." Kara explained.
- "Do you think the same thing happened to his mother, too?" Alex asked.
- "Maybe she's not the perpetrator we thought, but the victim." J'onn said. "Just like Marcus. Either way, we'll need to keep him in that cell for now. It's equipped with a telekinetic dampener, which should prevent him from having another episode."
- "Well, he's safe, but his mother's still out there." The older Danvers replied.
- "We need to get him to tell us where she is." The Matthews girl added.
- "Well, our best chance at that now is Mr. Olsen." The J'onzz man turned to him.
The three women turned to him as well.
- "James." The younger Danvers said.
- "I spent the entire day with that kid and all I got was a couple of sentences." James replied. "You were right, J'onn. This is a D.E.O. matter. I should not have involved myself." He walked out of the room.
The little boy looked down at the floor, sadly.
The quadbrid frowned.
The green Martian looked at the trio, before following the Olsen man out.
Maddie opened the cell and gave several sweets to Marcus with comic books.
She crouched down in front of him.
- "I'm sorry, baby, but we have to keep you here for your own safety." She said. "We'll find out what caused this and we'll stop it. And we'll protect your mom. I promise."
The little boy met her gaze and took the cookie she was handing him.
The Matthews girl smiled softly, before walking out.

Later, the trio of aliens walked back into the D.E.O.
- "We've been searching the city for signs of another attack, nothing yet." Kara said.
- "Have you two found anything?" J'onn asked.
- "We looked into the Phorian's physiology." Alex explained. "Turns out that a major shift in atmospheric energy can cause a change in their mental state."
- "But what causes a shift like that?" Mon-El questioned.
- "Electromagnetic energy." Maddie said.
- "Exactly." Winn nodded. "So, this measures electromagnetic activity around the city."
- "There was a large spike around the time of the first fight on the street yesterday." The older Danvers added.
- "And let me guess, another spike during the attack on CatCo today?" The younger Danvers asked.
- "Hey, good guess." The Schott man smiled. "But that spike was about five times the size."
Damn, this is bad. The Matthews girl thought.
- "Have we determined what caused the spike?" The J'onzz man questioned.
- "Yes." The tech guy nodded. "High levels of polyatomic anions released in the atmosphere."
- "That's weird." The quadbrid frowned.
- "Wait. I... I saw Lena. She said she's working on a new project. She mentioned those anions." The Kryptonian explained.
- "That can't be a coincidence." Maddie shook her head.
- "Definitely not." The green Martian frowned.
- "I'm gonna call Lena." Kara took out her phone and walked a couple feet away.
- "Hello, Supergirl." Rhea answered Lena's phone.
The Matthews girl's jaw dropped. What the fuck?
- "Rhea?" The younger Danvers gasped.
Everyone turned to her with wide eyes.
- "You sound surprised." The mother said.
- "Trace the call." The right hand ordered to Winn, who immediately got to work.
- "If you've done anything to Lena, I'll..." The Kryptonian started.
- "You'll, what, lecture me?" The Queen mocked.
- "We will find you." Kara said.
And we'll destroy you. The quadbrid took her brother's hand and interlaced their fingers.
The Matthews man squeezed it.
- "You have no idea where I am or what I'm doing. How does it feel to be powerless?" Rhea asked.
- "If this is about Mon-El, you have to come to terms with the fact that he chose to stay here." The younger Danvers replied.
- "No, he made a choice to come home, to be king to his people." The mother retorted. "And we would have been happy to go, but you were too selfish to allow that."
- "What's she saying?" The son questioned.
The Kryptonian put the call on speaker.
- "Everything I do, I do for my people." The Queen explained. "Everything you and my daughter do for yours is to bolster your broken egos."
What a bitch. Maddie frowned.
- "You need this planet to worship you, the last daughters of a failed world, because otherwise, your survival means nothing." Rhea continued.
- "You're delusional." Kara replied.
The mother scoffed.
- "No. On the contrary, I see everything clearly." She said. "I came here in peace, which you refused. And all of the ugliness that's transpired is because of your righteousness, Kara Zor-El, and my daughter's. Everything that happens from now on is your doing. Every city that burns, every nation that falls, for every child of Earth that cries out, 'Why is this happening?' The answer is Supergirl and GreatGirl."
- "Rox and Kara have done nothing." Mon-El took his girlfriend's phone. "Okay? This is all you!"
- "Oh." The Queen sighed. "Of course you're there with her. The Kryptonian girl who bewitched you. Is your bastard sister with you too?"
- "I am." The Matthews girl crossed her arms. "You're not going to get away with this. We'll find you and when we do, you'll beg for our forgiveness."
- "Mother, you're... You're mad at me here, okay?" The Matthews man replied. "Don't... Don't take it out on this planet. You are better than this."
- "Anger has nothing to do with what I'm doing." Rhea shook her head.
- "Then why? Why are you still here?" The son asked, angrily.
- "I'm here to wake you up, Mon-El." The mother said, angrily, before hanging up.
- "It's gonna be okay." The quadbrid patted her brother's back. "We are in this together, remember?"
Mon-El nodded as he wrapped one arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head.
Maddie closed her eyes at the gesture, enjoying her older brother's embrace.
- "Did you manage to trace the call?" J'onn asked.
- "No. There was too much electromagnetic interference." The Schott man sighed.
- "Damn it." The Matthews girl sighed.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, Rhea deleted Kara's call from the historic.
- "Was that my phone?" Lena asked.
- "Yeah. Telemarketer." The mother replied.
The Luthor woman frowned, before turning around.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the evening, Lena walked up to her partner.
- "Tomorrow we could begin the material trials." She said, before sighing. "I keep forgetting that success means that you're leaving. Working with you has meant so much to me."
- "Me too." Rhea replied with a smile. "Whatever happens next, I want you to remember never to doubt yourself again. You are a marvel, Lena. Any mother should be proud to call you daughter."
The Luthor woman smiled as the mother activated the portal.
- "Wait. Wait... What are you... What are you doing?" The scientist frowned.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, an alert was received at the D.E.O.
- "We got something! A huge release of anions." Alex said.
- "Where?" Maddie asked.
- "San Isidro Valley." The older Danvers replied.
- "You got a satellite image for that?" J'onn questioned.
- "Yeah." The right hand nodded as she showed the satellite image.
A large red mark was shown on the map.
- "What is that?" Mon-El frowned.
- "It's bad." The Matthews girl replied. "Very bad."
- "Let's go." Kara said.
- "Right on." The J'onzz man walked away.
- "My mother..." The Matthews man started.
- "I know this is going to be hard. You don't have to do this." The younger Danvers replied.
- "No, I have to." The Daxamite said. "I just... I need to grab something first."
The Kryptonian walked away.
- "Are you sure?" The quadbrid frowned.
- "Yes, I'm sure, Rox." Mon-El nodded.
- "Alright." Maddie walked away.
The Matthews man locked his jaw, angrily, as he thought about what he needed to take before leaving.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Lena was trying to turn down the portal.
- "Why won't it shut down? What did you do?" She asked, her voice full of betrayal.
- "What I had to do. For my people." Rhea said. "I want you to know the affection I have for you is real."
The four aliens of the D.E.O. teleported in.
Mon-El was wearing in his new superhero suit.
He was similar to his sister's, like Kara's was similar to Clark's.
He was wearing a red one-piece suit with small dark blue details on his body and a cape and boots of the same color, a blue belt with a few gold details.
The same logo on his chest, with a faint 'D' for Daxam and Davenport, his new family of heart.
- "Turn it off!" GreatGirl ordered.
- "I can't." The Luthor woman frowned.
Supergirl punched a metal box connected to the device inside that allowed the portal to work, but except for a few sparks, nothing happened.
- "Why won't it turn off?" J'onn yelled.
- "I don't know, she must've made it self-sustaining somehow." The scientist shrugged, in distress.
- "What did you do, Mother?" The Matthews man asked.
The mother smirked.
- "You're bringing something here." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "What?" The Danvers woman raised her eyebrows.
- "You'll see." The Queen replied.
The two heroines super speeded towards her, pushing her against a wall.
When the son tried to come help them, Rhea moved away from the wall and kicked him in the stomach, making him fall.
She threw the Kryptonian against the wall, making a column with devices fall on Lena, knocking her out.
The mother tried to punch Supergirl, making a hole in the wall instead, before the quadbrid punched her in the face, knocking her down.
The two heroines nodded at each other and flew out to try to stop the portal.
They looked around, but there was nothing to disconnect it, so they fired their heat visions at the hole.
The shield around the portal electrocuted them and sent them, crash onto the ground, unconscious.
- "You don't mess with my family." The green Martian glared at the Queen, before taking a step forward.
She took a device out and J'onn froze.
- "What is that?" Mon-El asked.
- "A white Martian gave me this." Rhea said.
- "What are you doing?" The Matthews man questioned, in worry.
- "The white Martians developed this technology in order to keep the Greens under their control." The mother explained as the J'onzz man turned into his natural form and fell onto his knees. "It traps a Martian in his own mind. A never-ending nightmare. Pretty savvy if you ask me."
The green Martian fell down.
- "J'onn!" The son rushed to him. "J'onn! You've learned a lot of things about this world, Mother."
- "I've had to." The Queen replied.
- "And did you learn that we're not bulletproof here?" Mon-El took out a gun and pointed it at her heart.
- "Put the gun down, Mon-El. You don't want to hurt me..." Rhea took a step closer.
- "Shut up!" The Matthews man shouted with tears in his eyes. "After everything you did to Rox!"
- "The Kryptonian girl and your sister were right." The mother said. "You are a hero of Earth. But would a hero kill his own mother?"
The son gulped as he held the gun tighter.
- "When you were a boy and I would put you to sleep at night, you used to say to me that you would always love me." The Queen continued as she walked closer to the gun. "And even though you've turned your back on me, I know you love me."
Mon-El's eyes watered.
- "Where's Father?" He asked, but she did not answer. "Where is my father?!"
- "Your father was so hurt when you and Roxana abandoned us that he..." Rhea started, emotionally. "Took his own life." She lied.
The face of the Matthews man fell, in disbelief.
- "No." He shook his head, not wanting to believe it.
- "Mon-El, you are not going to kill me." The mother took the other end of the gun between her hands. "Whatever you think of me, I'm still your mother."
The son put his finger on the trigger with a shuddering breath as he looked at her eyes, before sighing, tears streaming down his face.
Rhea pushed the gun down and put a comforting hand on his chest.
- "We were not the only people to escape the destruction of our planet." She said. "Thousands of Daxamites survived. Hundreds of ships spread across the galaxy. They just needed a way to get here."
The heroines got up, outside, as they saw hundreds of ships flying through the portal.
- "We are in deep shit." GreatGirl sighed.
The Danvers woman nodded.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, the Elite Force were in Mission Command, when a beep was heard.
Chase checked.
- "Guys?" He frowned, in worry.
- "Yeah." Bree looked at him.
- "We have multiple bogies heading into National City." The bionic boy said.
- "How many?" Skylar asked.
- "Twenty-five." The Davenport boy replied. "No, 50, 100... Maybe more."
- "What's happening?" Kaz questioned.
Oliver pulled up the security footage, and they saw all the ships flying above the city.
- "Well, that's just great, right when I have a date with Ezra." He scoffed.
- "It's really not important right now." The hybrid frowned.
- "Right." The Evers boy nodded.
- "Whatever is happening, it's not good." Chase shook his head.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, Rhea looked at all the ships coming out of the portal.
- "Welcome to New Daxam." She smiled, before teleporting to her ship with Mon-El and the unconscious Lena.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, everyone was ordered to go to sleep, as J'onn was still trapped in his own mind.
Maddie arrived at the penthouse and Chase rushed to her, pulling her into a hug.
- "Are you okay?" He asked.
- "I'm fine, except that my psycho of a bio mom just brought every single Daxamite alive to take the Earth, but I'm fine." The quadbrid shrugged in his arms.
The bionic boy pulled back.
- "Hey, we're gonna win." He said as he cupped her face. "We are all in this together."
- "I know." The Matthews girl smiled, sadly.
- "What else?" The Davenport boy frowned.
- "She took Mon-El and Lena." The blue-eyed girl sighed.
- "We'll get them back." The green hazel-eyed boy pressed a soft kiss on her forehead, before pulling her into another hug. "We got this."
Maddie nodded as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.
Chase caressed her hair softly.
The couple stayed like this for a couple of minutes.
