Later, GreatGirl flew towards Kara's apartment.

- "Maddie, what's happening?" She asked.

- "I have no idea, but I received an alert from the D.E.O. that all the prisoners were about to be released." The Matthews girl said.

- "Crap. That's not good." The Danvers woman took off her plain clothes.

- "Nope." The quadbrid said.

The two flew away.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of seconds later, when the heroes arrived at the D.E.O., all the agents were following a prisoner, Maxima, the queen of the planet Almerac.

They blew their freeze breath on her.

- "Early parole is canceled." Supergirl said.

- "Forever." GreatGirl added.

The heroes tried to punch the queen, but she blocked their fists and punched them both. The Matthews girl managed to throw a punch in her face, but Maxima grabbed her and threw her in the ceiling.

The Danvers woman was punched in the stomach and threw on the rocks of the ceiling.

The two heroes got up.

The Kryptonian punched the prisoner hard, and the quadbrid flipped her on the cyber desk.

- "That tickled." The queen said. She punched Supergirl, making her fall on her back. She started to choke her. "We could have been family, Kara Zor-El. I once sought to make your cousin my mate."

- "Ew, gross!" The Danvers woman frowned.

GreatGirl kicked her away from her friend and helped her get up.

The two heroes punched her at the same time, making her fly across the room, crashing against a wall as Maxima fell on the ground, unconscious.

Green Kryptonite was shot towards the Kryptonian, hitting her arm. She groaned in pain.

The Matthews girl opened a shield to protect her.

- "Lucy!" Supergirl yelled. "You have to fight it. You have to wake up!"

- "Warning. Prisoner release in 15 seconds." The computer said as Lucy was joined by Vasquez.

- "Maddie, go. I got them." The Danvers woman replied.

- "Okay." The quadbrid took down the shield and super speeded towards the consoles.

GreatGirl typed on the console as the Kryptonian super speeded behind her ship, with difficulties, and turned the back towards the two women.

She activated the ship and the propulsion threw the two agents to the ground, unconscious.

- "Containment override deactivated. Prisoner cell release canceled." The computer said.

The Matthews girl sighed, in relief.

Supergirl dug into her wound and took out of green Kryptonite bullet, before throwing it to the ground.

- "You're okay?" The quadbrid asked.

- "Yeah." The Danvers woman nodded. "You?"

- "Yeah." GreatGirl nodded.

- "Lucy..." The Kryptonian kneeled next to her friend. "I'm so sorry."

The Matthews girl super speeded into the empty cell and threw Maxima, back in it, before locking it.

The next morning, the two heroes were at the Fortress of Solitude.

- "Kelex? Kelex, are you here?" Supergirl yelled.

- "How may I assist you, Lady Kara?" A flying robot asked. "Lady Maddie, pleasure to meet you."

- "It's a pleasure, too, Kelex." GreatGirl nodded.

- "Where is Kal-El? I can't find him anywhere on Earth." The Danvers woman said, in panic.

- "Kal-El is attending to a matter off-world." Kelex replied.

- "Wonderful." The Matthews girl, sarcastically, smiled.

- "Kelex, I need you to tell me about Myriad." The Kryptonian ordered.

- "Warning. This construct is not authorized to discuss Myriad." The robot replied.

- "You were designed to obey the members of the honorable House of El, and to preserve the memory of Krypton wherever it went. If you don't override your orders, Myriad will destroy the House of El and the memory of Krypton will be lost forever. You will have failed in your prime directive." Supergirl, firmly, explained. Kelex flew away. "Please. Please! I just need someone to help me!"

- "We're gonna find a way." The quadbrid patted her back.

- "Hello, Kara." Alura's hologram said.

- "Mom!" The Danvers woman exclaimed.

- "Myriad was developed on Krypton by your aunt. It was created to prevent the planet's imminent destruction." The hologram explained. "We had strangled the planet's resources beyond recovery. The politicians argued, but could not agree on what to do. Thus, according to high records, Astra implemented her own solution. Myriad. Technology designed to force everyone to her way of thinking."

- "Mind Control." GreatGirl nodded.

- "When they were caught attempting to use the Myriad technology against the people of Argo City, Astra, and Non were arrested." Alura continued.

- "And sentenced to Fort Rozz." The Kryptonian finished. "That's what they've been trying to do all along. They've been trying to use Myriad on Earth. To save the planet. But I don't understand. Why is everyone so afraid to talk about it? Why wouldn't you even speak of it?"

- "Myriad could be used to enslave whole worlds at the push of a button." The hologram replied.

- "This is bad." The Matthews girl said.

- "The High Council determined that if knowledge of such technology were to get out, it would upset the delicate balance of power of the galaxy." Alura explained.

- "Mom, please. You have to tell us how to stop this." Supergirl said.

- "I am sorry, my dear Kara. Once started, Myriad cannot be stopped." The hologram added, before deactivating.

- "It's like the Triton App, all over again." The quadbrid sighed.

Later, the two heroes flew to CatCo, where the mind controlled people were working.

- "Kelly?" Supergirl frowned at her colleague.

- "Mia?" GreatGirl asked her best friend. "That's Kryptonian."

- "What is Non up to?" The Danvers woman questioned."Winn. Winn? Winn, can you hear me? I know you're in there. I could really use my friend right now." She sighed, before walking to her crush's office.

- "Mia, come on. Wake up." The Matthews girl shook her shoulders. "Come on."

- "The United States Army has taken up position at every entrance way into National City.
Until this threat is neutralized, National City has effectively been quarantined." General Sam Lane said on TV as the Kryptonian walked back into the room.

- "We need to call him." The quadbrid pointed at the screen.

Supergirl nodded and called him.

- "This is General Lane." The latter said.

- "It's Supergirl." The latter replied. "I'm with GreatGirl. You're on speaker."

- "How's Lucy?" Sam asked.

- "She's alive. She's safe." GreatGirl said.

- "She's enthralled to Non's master weapon, isn't she?" The Lane man questioned.

- "Yes." The Danvers woman sighed. "Listen, you need to keep everybody outside of city limits until we can figure this out, okay? I know you and I haven't always had the best work relationship, and you don't know GreatGirl, but..."

- "I'll do my part." The General replied. "I trust you both will do yours. Good luck."

The private elevator dang and Cat walked out.

- "Ker-rah, call Harrison Ford and tell him that I'm flattered, but once and for all, I do not date older men, especially when they're married." She said. The two heroes cleared their throats. "Oh! Supergirl! GreatGirl! Well, what a pleasant surprise. What, do we have a 9:00 a.m.?"

- "You're not a mindless drone." The Kryptonian frowned.

- "How is that possible?" The Matthews girl added.

- "Uh, no." The Grant woman replied. "No, I learned that lesson when Demi Moore and I wore the same dress to the premiere of Ghosts. Never again."

- "Ms. Grant, listen to me. Everyone in the city is affected by this alien signal. They're acting like automatons. Haven't you noticed?" Supergirl asked.

- "Hmm, well, yes, they are a bit more quiet than usual. Maybe my reign of terror has finally reached its peaked effectiveness." Cat smiled softly.

- "Ms. Grant, we are serious. Everyone in National City, besides the three of us, are mindless zombies." The quadbrid said.

The Danvers woman's phone dang.

- "Oh. Ah, you do have a cell phone. Can I get that number, please?" The Grant woman asked.

- "It's Superman." The Kryptonian walked towards a window.

- "Finally." GreatGirl sighed and followed her.

- "Oh, can I get his number as well? And yours, GreatGirl?" The queen of media questioned.

- "He's coming to help." Supergirl ran to the balcony with her friend.

- "He is?" Cat followed them.

- "Where is he?" The Danvers woman said to herself.

- "Oh, my God." The Grant woman finally noticed, everyone walking like soldiers in the streets. "What's happening to everyone?"

- "There he is!" The Matthews girl pointed at Superman. "There he is."

- "Who? Superman? Where?" The queen of media asked.

- "What?" The Kryptonian woman frowned as her cousin landed in between everyone else and started to walk with them. "What? Oh, God. No."

- "What is it?" Cat frowned.

- "Myriad. It's affecting my cousin too." Supergirl sighed.

- "Myriad? Wait a minute, if it's affecting Superman, then are any of us safe?" The Grant woman questioned.

- "Well, I may not be Superman, but I do have my moments." Maxwell walked in with a device above his ear.

- "And this day keeps getting worse." The quadbrid said.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, the four walked back into the building.

- "Do Kryptonians gloat?" Maxwell asked. "Because I'll bet wherever he is, ol' Uncle Non is feeling pretty good about himself."

- "Why am I not surprised that your brain is intact, Max?" Cat questioned. "What is it they say? Only cockroaches will survive the apocalypse."

- "Happy to see you too, Cat." The Lord man said. "You look lovely, considering the end is nigh."

- "Why weren't you affected?" Supergirl asked.

- "Ion blockers." The scientist pointed at the device on his ear. "I realized the Kryptonians were using my LTE interface system. That's why they broke into my lab over Christmas. They're using my satellites to send neural signals directly into the minds of everyone in National City. These scramble the signal before they reach my brain."

- "You may be an ass, but no one can deny your genius." GreatGirl said.

Maxwell nodded.

- "If you invented technology that blocks Myriad, why didn't you give it to the D.E.O.?" The Danvers woman asked.

- "Once Henshaw and his Trusted Girl Friday stepped down, I had no one at the D.E.O. to trust." The Lord man explained.

- "Well, clearly, not everybody needs this ear-wig thingy, because I don't have one and my brain is perfectly intact." The Grant woman replied.

- "I see you got the earrings I sent you last night." The scientist said.

- "Oh, I get it. Ion blockers in the diamonds?" The queen of media smiled. "Mmm-hmm. Oh, so many karats and yet so functional."

Maxwell chuckled.

- "Didn't seem right for the world to lose Cat Grant's mind." He caressed her cheek.

- "Once you two are done flirting, can we go back to the main worry?" The Matthews girl asked.

The Lord man took his hand of her face.

- "Speaking of, where is your faithful assistant? Out marching with the masses?" He questioned.

- "Don't be glib, Max." Cat sighed. "Probably should be worried about her."

- "If it only targets humans, why was my cousin affected?" The Kryptonian asked.

- "Nature versus nurture." The scientist replied. "He may be an alien, but your cousin grew up on Earth. Seems like environmental factors, being raised by ordinary people, made his brain more human."

- "But..." Supergirl turned to her friend.

- "He spent more time on Earth than we did." The quadbrid said. "He was a baby. You were way older when you arrived and I've been through more stuff when I arrived."

- "The Man of Steel brought to his knees all because he went to kindergarten and watched Sesame Street." Maxwell laughed.

- "You think this is funny?" The Danvers woman asked.

- "Everything I have feared has come to pass. I couldn't be more serious." The Lord man walked closer to them.

- "Well, stop making jokes about it." GreatGirl said.

- "We have to stop them." The Kryptonian replied. "They're using your satellites. Can't you reprogram them and destroy Myriad from the inside?"

- "He probably already tried." The Matthews girl added.

- "I did." The scientist nodded. "There's some pretty epic force fields around those satellites at the moment."

- "You're always 10 steps ahead, Max. I know you have a plan." The Grant woman said.

- "Of course I do. We kill them all." Maxwell replied.

- "That shouldn't be too hard." The quadbrid sassed.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, the three women followed Maxwell outside of Cat's office.

- "Max, how exactly do you plan on killing an army of Supermans?" She asked.

-"I'll tell you the plan when I know you three are on board." The Lord man replied. "Can't have muscles over here trying to stop me."

- "I can't read his mind, because of the ions blockers. So unless he tells us, we won't find out until it's too late." GreatGirl said.

Supergirl sighed.

- "Killing is never the solution." She replied.

- "Except we're way past villains-of-the-week and kittens stuck in trees. We're at war. And the only way to win a war is to kill the enemy before they kill us." The scientist explained. "So, time to grow up and put on the big girls capes.

- "Oh, looks like someone made it through security." The Grant woman looked at Non.

- "The son of Jor-El has already knelt before me." He walked towards the two heroes, who stood before the two humans. "Soon you will too. I don't want to fight you, children."

- "Afraid we'll win?" The Matthews girl asked.

- "You've already lost." The Kryptonian man replied. "Accept it and the glorious fulfillment of Astra's vision. In the end, she defeated you."

- "This doesn't look like victory to me. And all you're doing is betraying her." The Danvers woman said. "I was with Astra in her final moments. We forgave each other; we paid respect to our blood bonds. She didn't want this."

- "Of course she did." Non frowned. "It's what everyone wants, is it not? Peace on Earth. Goodwill towards man."

- "It's a lot less like Christmas out there and more like Dawn of the Dead." The queen of media said.

- "The human race finally has a chance to live. Or it would suffer the same fate as Krypton." The Kryptonian man replied. "And the same thing is happening on Earth, with a populace more interested in reality stars and political circuses than working together to solve the world's problems."

- "So, mind control is the answer to global warming? Why didn't I think of that?" Maxwell sassed.

- "Thanks to Myriad, there are no more racial divisions, no Republicans, no Democrats." Non said. "Only one people, working with one purpose towards one goal. To save the world."

He already has better intentions than Krane. The quadbrid thought.

- "Your intentions are good, but this is not the way to save the world. You are only turning everyone against you." She replied.

- "You haven't saved them, you've enslaved them." Cat added.

- "Humanity is better than this. If you really want this planet to avoid the fate of Krypton, then work with us." The Kryptonian woman said.

- "With these people? These two are the best of your world and all they do is help the populace amuse themselves to death." The Kryptonian man replied. "If anything, they laid the groundwork for me."

- "You've already turned us into drones." Winn said.

- "Winn! Winn, can you hear me?" Supergirl walked up to him.

- "Your inventions have drowned out sense and turned it into nonsense." James added.

- "But now everyone is united, everyone's creativity and thought dedicated to eradicating famine, disease, climate change." Mia continued.

- "Mia, come on." GreatGirl walked up to her.

- "You're harvesting the brain power of everyone in the city to solve the world's problems?" The Lord man asked. "National City is a giant think tank?"

- "This is not the way to solve the world's problems." The Danvers woman said.

- "Your heroics have done nothing to save the planet." The Schott man added.

- "And your heroics only managed to make you lose your entire world." The Krillin woman told her best friend.

That's not fair. The Matthews girl held back her tears.

- "This is the inevitability of Myriad." The Olsen man continued.

- "Non, stop this!" The Kryptonian woman yelled.

- "These are your friends, aren't they?" Non asked.

- "Let them go." The quadbrid ordered.

- "I've have lived with loss. Allow me to return the favor." The Kryptonian man replied.

- "We've been through as much lost as you did." GreatGirl added.

- "Maybe, but it wasn't recent for you." Non smirked. "Let me change that."

Winn, James, Mia, Kelly and Arthur got up.

- "Kelly?" The Grant woman frowned.

- "What are you doing to them?" Supergirl asked.

- "Non has ended crime in National City in one day." The Schott man said.

- "One second." The Krillin woman corrected.

- "Winn. Winn, stop!" The Danvers woman yelled.

- "Mia, come on! Fight it!" The Matthews girl shouted.

- "Which is more than the four of you have ever done." The Olsen man continued.

- "James. James." The Kryptonian woman said as the five walked towards five different balconies, ready to jump. "Kelly."

- "Oh, my God." The queen of media said, in horror.

- "No, no, no, no, no, no!" The scientist yelled.

- "What's happening?" Supergirl asked.

- "What the hell?" The quadbrid frowned as the five were standing on the edges of the balconies.

- "What's happening?" The Danvers woman questioned.

- "Catch." James said.

The five others jumped off the balconies.

- "No!" The two heroes yelled and flew outside.

Supergirl caught Winn and James while GreatGirl caught the Arthur and Mia.

Their arms were full, so they did not managed to catch Kelly, who was on the ground, dead. They landed, next to her body.

The Matthews girl kneeled down to check her pulse, in case.

- "She's gone." She looked at her friend.

- "Oh my god. Oh my god..." The Danvers woman replied.

- "You missed one." Mia said. "Do not stand against me."

- "Or more will die." Winn added.

- "Everyone you know, love, and care for will die. Accept defeat, women." James put his hands on each side of the Kryptonian's face. "I have already saved National City. Next, I will save the world."

The four walked back in.

- "What the fuck?" The quadbrid frowned.

- "What do we with her body?" Supergirl asked.

- "I'm gonna put in the morgue." GreatGirl sighed. "So, her family can have her body, once it's done."

- "Okay." The Danvers woman nodded.

- "We're gonna destroy him." The Matthews girl put her hand on her friend's shoulder.

The Kryptonian nodded.

The quadbrid, gently, took Kelly's body and flew away.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, the two heroes were back in CatCo, feeling guilty to not have manage to catch Kelly.

- "Are you finally ready to do what needs to be done?" Maxwell asked.

- "What's your plan?" Supergirl questioned.

- "Before you two and I sang Kumbaya and decided to be friends..." The Lord man said.

- "After you poisoned us and made us evil." GreatGirl scoffed.

- "It was an accident. And I'm sorry." The scientist replied.

- "Maxwell Lord, apologizing that's once in a lifetime." The Matthews girl said.

- "Yeah." Maxwell chuckled. "Are we good?" The quadbrid nodded. "I was working on a weapon to use against the Kryptonians. All Kryptonians."

- "What kind of weapon?" The Danvers woman asked.

- "A bomb. Filled with Kryptonite dust." The Lord man explained. "It'll irradiate the entire city. Choke them all. No more Myriad."

- "Um, Anderson, do you think you could hold on for just a skosh?" Cat said on the phone. "Forgive me, but won't that kill Supergirl, GreatGirl and Superman?"

- "Kryptonite has no effect on me." GreatGirl replied.

- "Why?" The Grant woman frowned.

- "Because like you heard earlier, I can read minds, so I'm not entirely Kryptonian. I have four different species." The Matthews girl said.

- "Which are?" The queen of media asked.

- "Not with him, in the room." The quadbrid pointed at the scientist. "No offense."

- "None taken." He replied. "If Supergirl flies up and detonates it over the city center. Then she and Superman skedaddle. She won't be able to come back to National City for roughly 50 years, but that's a small price to pay to save the world, right?"

- "What about the human beings? Will they be affected at all?" The Kryptonian questioned.

- "The concussive force to properly displace the Kryptonite dust will result in some losses." Maxwell nodded.

The three women frowned.

- "Hmm, Anderson, I'm gonna have to call you back." Cat hung up. "What exactly are we talking about, Max? Losses."

- "8% of the population." The Lord man replied.

- "8% of the population!" The Grant woman exclaimed. "8% of four million people? That is over 300,000 people, Max."

- "320, 000, exactly." GreatGirl said.

- "Versus the seven billion people on the planet that Non wants to turn into zombies." The scientist replied.

- "Are you seriously considering this?" The queen of media asked.

Supergirl sighed.

- "She is." Maxwell replied. "Because she knows it's our only chance. If this spreads from National City, it won't be long before every man, woman and child, including your children, will be on their knees. I won't let that happen. I swore to save this world. That's exactly what I'm going to do."

- "What if we tell Non we have this weapon? Force him to see reason." The Danvers woman suggested.

The Lord man scoffed.

- "Tell that to Kelly, the office skydiver." He said.

- "Please, have you no shame?" Cat asked.

- "Have some respect. Someone's daughter and sister died tonight." The Matthews girl added.

- "No. Not anymore." The scientist replied. "All I have is my mind. And for how much longer, I'm not sure. What I know is that, for every second we don't act, we risk the end of humanity."

- "If you continue, you won't have a mind anymore." The quadbrid said.

- "What are you saying?" Maxwell asked.

- "I'm saying, if you continue to threat to kill people, I will rip the device off your head and let you being a mind controlled zombie." GreatGirl said to his face.

- "Time to save the world, GreatGirl and Supergirl." The Lord man replied. "Are you with me?"

- "Supergirl, please." The Matthews girl looked at her.

The Kryptonian looked at both of them.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, the two heroes were sitting on the couch, while Maxwell was video chatting with the general.

- "Did you get an answer?" The Lord man asked.

- "I've spoken with the President directly." Sam said. "She agrees with your assessment. You have her authorization to proceed with your plan."

- "Thank you, General." The scientist replied.

- "May God have mercy on our souls." The Lane man said.

- "If there was a God, General, I'm sure she wouldn't have put us in this mess in the first place." Maxwell hung up.

- "How did you become like this?" Supergirl asked.

- "Did I ever tell you how my parents died?" The Lord man questioned.

- "I read your mind, I know." GreatGirl scoffed.

- "Alex told me they were exposed to a fatal virus when the government gave them faulty hazmat suits." The Danvers woman said.

- "What I didn't tell your dear old sis was that I warned them about those suits." The scientist replied. "I knew they wouldn't hold up. I begged them and the CDC to scrap them, but no one would listen to me. The know-it-all. I swore from that moment on, that if I could protect people, if I could save them, I wouldn't wait for permission. I would act. Just like you two do every time you jump out the window and save the day. We act, you two and I. We're more alike than you think."

- "I hope not." The Kryptonian shook her head.

- "Being an orphan doesn't excuse everything." The Matthews girl said. "And I know. I lost my bio parents and my adoptive one. It didn't turn me into an asshole, and I surely hope I am nothing like you." She walked away.

- "I'll be at my facility getting the bomb ready." Maxwell walked away.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, the two heroes were in the balcony, next to the interns' desk.

- "I've always liked the view out this window." Cat walked out. "Wish I had it from my office. I like looking at the park. All the people. Mothers pushing their strollers. Kids playing. I wonder which of them will die in Max's moronic attempt to save the city."

GreatGirl sighed.

- "I don't know how to fight this." Supergirl sighed. "What would you have me do?"

- "You could come up with a better plan than irradiating the city and killing thousands of people." The Grant woman replied.

- "My mother was faced with this decision on Krypton." The Danvers woman explained. "To act or do nothing. And she chose wrong. I love her, but she didn't save Krypton like she promised. And my planet died. My culture. My home. My parents. Everything was just wiped from the stars. How can I let that happen again?"

The Matthews girl patted her back.

- "I know you're scared." The queen of media said. "I am too. But so is Max. And so is Non, for that matter. All of you are letting your fear guide you, but somebody has to find the courage to stand up even though they're afraid. You know, the worst decisions that I've ever made in my life were based on fear. But you two showed me that there was another way to be strong, by having faith in people. By believing that goodness would prevail. And because of you two, I started letting people in. I even opened up myself up to my assistant, Ker-rah, who helped me have a relationship with my son again. Now, I can't tell you what to do, Supergirl. But if you've taught me anything, you have taught me that hope is stronger than fear. And that is what I think of every time I look at that." She pointed at the logos on the heroes' chests. "You've changed me. And I am not easy to change. And I believe that you two can change everyone out there. Not with violence, not with fear. Just be Supergirl and GreatGirl. That's all anyone's ever needed from you."

- "Thank you, Cat." The Kryptonian hugged her.

- "That just gave me an idea." The quadbrid smirked. The two women pulled away and looked at her. "Okay, here something you don't know, Cat: I'm not from this universe. I'm from a universe where the people of this universe are based on movies, TV shows and comic books. And I was a superhero back in my old universe too. My family was being mind-controlled, and my brother and I talked to them. And what brought them back was hope and reminding them who they are and what they believe in."

- "What do you have in mind?" Supergirl asked.

- "I need to learn more about this old universe of yours." Cat followed them.

- "Later, Cat." GreatGirl replied as she started to explain her plan.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, after GreatGirl explained her plan, the three women walked into Maxwell' office.

- "Good. You changed your mind." He said. "I was starting to regret saving it in the first place. For the record, I seriously thought the three of us would be having a lot more fun during Armageddon.

- "Oh, Max, we're not here to talk about your bomb." Cat replied. "GreatGirl has a plan.

- "Which means Cat browbeat you." The Lord man chuckled.

- "'Inspired and remembered' are closer to the truth." The Matthews girl said.

- "I'm a muse, Max. To the world." The Grant woman smiled.

- "So, what's your plan?" The scientist asked.

- "Hope." The quadbrid said.

- "You know what? I'm gonna go with the plan that has the bomb and kills the bad guys instead of listening to a child." Maxwell replied.

- "A child that reads the minds of billions of people and has more knowledge than anyone ever existed on this planet." GreatGirl crossed her arms.

- "No bomb. No one dies." Supergirl added.

- "You think I wanna do this? It's the only way to win." The Lord man said.

- "What? What are we winning?" The Danvers woman asked. "Causing more chaos? More destruction? More lives lost? You hated me for months, because you thought I'd use my power indiscriminately, kill people with no regard for their lives. That is exactly the choice you're making with this bomb."

- "Please tell me you've had enough analysis to know that they're right." The queen of media added.

- "You were afraid of me. And you were afraid of GreatGirl when she arrived. Now you're afraid of Non." The Kryptonian continued. "I understand that fear. But we cannot let it drive our actions.
Make another choice that honors your parents. And GreatGirl's and mine."

Maxwell exhaled loudly.

- "I'm listening." He said.

- "So, there is hope for you after all." GreatGirl smiled.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Later, Cat took the three others to her old TV station.

- "Will any of this equipment work?" Supergirl asked.

- "Well! No reason why it shouldn't." The Grant woman sighed.

The three women took off the dust sheets off everything.

- "It's in good condition." GreatGirl nodded.

- "So, you brought us to your very first, very out-of-the-way TV station so we can... What? Dust off your Daytime Emmy?" Maxwell asked.

- "No, Max. Actually, we are here to inspire. We are going to show them a symbol. One of optimism, love, and, yes, hope. A sight so undeniable, that people will recognize it even under this spell." The queen of media explained.

- "Where do we start?" The Lord man asked.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of minutes later, Maxwell was trying to make everything work.

- "Do you think you can do it?" Supergirl asked.

- "We can't stop Myriad's signal, but we can piggyback off of it." The Lord man replied.

- "We could stop it." GreatGirl said. "But we don't know where they are."

- "What do you mean." Cat questioned.

- "Well, a last year, I dealt with a mind control thing and the only way to stop it to cut it at its source..." The Matthews girl started.

- "But since we don't know where Non's source is, we can't stop it." The Danvers woman continued.

- "Exactly." The quadbrid sighed.

- "Well, in the meanwhile, we're lucky. This TV station is old." The scientist said.

- "Not that old." The Grant woman replied.

- "Not old-old. But old enough that it uses broadcast technology instead of digital." Maxwell added.

- "So, we can transmit a signal by calibrating it to Myriad's frequency, without leaving any online fingerprints." GreatGirl continued.

- "Take that, Indigo." The Kryptonian took out a dust sheet.

- "Smart for a kid." The Lord man said.

- "Smart for a man." The Matthews girl smiled.

The queen of media chuckled.

- "It'll ride the wave without anybody knowing a thing." The scientist continued.

- "I have one question for you, Max." Cat said.

- "Shoot." Maxwell replied.

- "The earrings, how did you know I would wear them?" The Grant woman asked.

- "I didn't. I guess I just had hope." The Lord man smiled.

A loud bang was heard outside.

- "Stay here." Supergirl said.

- "Don't worry. I'm gonna put a shield, nobody will be able to touch you." The quadbrid added.

The two heroes walked out and GreatGirl put a shield around the building.

- "Alex?" The younger Danvers frowned. "What are you doing here? I told you not to come."

- "Shit." The Matthews girl mumbled.

- "I warned you what would happen if you worked against me." Alex was wearing a suit with Kryptonite weapons. "I found your ultimate opponent. One that knows your every weakness."

- "No!" The Kryptonian whispered. "I'm not doing this. I am not going to fight my sister." She shook her head. "Did you hear that, Non? If you want to fight me, come out here and do it yourself! I'm not gonna hurt her!" She shouted.

- "You have no choice. Kill Alex Danvers or let her kill you. Either way, you lose." The older Danvers replied. She took out a sword from behind her back. "Recognize this? It's the same sword your sister used to kill Astra. It's almost justice."

- "Alex, please wake up." Supergirl said with tears in her eyes.

- "She can't hear you." Alex replied.

- "Revenge won't bring Astra back." The younger Danvers continued.

- "I don't want to bring her back. I want you to join her." The older Danvers added.

- "Kara, go inside. I got this." The quadbrid whispered as she made a hole in the shield.

The Kryptonian nodded and walked inside the shield.

GreatGirl closed it.

- "If you want Kara to fight her sister, then you're gonna have to go through me first." She said.

- "As you wish." Alex replied and launched at her.
