The following week, the quintet was inspecting a motorcycle when Donald walked in, wearing a motorcycle outfit.
- "So, what do you think?" He smiled.
- "I think you're begging for a gang of bikers to do rotten things to you." Chase replied.
Maddie snickered.
- "Are those my pants?" Bree asked.
- "Not anymore." The father said. "I call her the 'Daven-cycle'. She's got autopilot, laser-guided weapon systems, and a tiny little flower vase." He took out a flower of his jacket and put it in the little vase. "To brighten your day."
- "Cool." The alien girl smiled.
- "Whoa, cool. Throw in a tiny basket for Chase to ride in, and we're good to go." Adam replied.
Seriously? The genius boy frowned at him.
The Matthews girl used her telekinetic powers to make the tall guy slap himself.
- "Stop it!" He yelled.
Douglas appeared on one of the screens.
- "Hello? Anybody home?" He laughed.
- "Seriously, Donnie?" Maddie turned to the scientist.
- "He hacked you again?" Leo asked, in disbelief. "Would it kill you to spend forty bucks on some security software?"
- "Love the new lab, Donnie. Ooh, tunnels!" The evil genius chuckled. "Industrial, yet classy."
- "Take a hint, ex-brother. There's a reason why none of us accepted your buddy requests." Donald replied.
I accepted it. The alien girl said.
- "Oh, I accepted it and so did, Maddie." The eldest teenager chuckled.
Traitor. The Matthews glared at him.
Everyone glared at the strong ones.
- "What? His updates are hilarious. 'Looking forward to a weekend of evil, winky-face'." Adam winked.
- "What about you, M?" The bionic girl asked.
- "I will only say that I have my reasons." Maddie replied.
What reasons? The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.
- "Listen, I don't have a lot of time. Krane'll be back soon. He... went out to get his head waxed." Douglas explained.
- "Fascinating. You know what? It might sound like I'm hanging up." The father said.
- "Wait! Wait, wait, wait!" The evil genius exclaimed. "This isn't another trick! You're in danger. Krane has completely lost it!"
- "Oh, wow! So, the guy who keeps implanting himself with bionics is unstable? Who could have seen that coming?" Chase, sarcastically, smiled.
The alien girl snickered.
- "I'm serious! Krane is using my technology to give himself new abilities I didn't even know were possible! He's a ticking time-bomb, and he sees you three as a threat!" Douglas explained.
- "Hey! What about me?! I'm dangerous." The short boy did a fighting stance.
- "Yeah, there's always a chance you might faint on somebody." The evil genius replied. The middle brother glared at him, offended. "And he doesn't know about Maddie."
- "She told you to call her 'Maddison'." The genius boy frowned.
- "That changed." Douglas said.
- "What? When?" The green hazel-eyed boy turned to his best friend.
- "Weeks ago, after I accepted his friend request." The Matthews girl replied. "So, what were you saying, Douglas?" She turned to the screen.
- "Look, Adam, Bree, Chase, Maddison... and Leo, can handle anything." The scientist said. "And after all you've done to this family, why should we trust you?"
Because he's trying to come back. Maddie smiled.
- "Well, I... give me a minute." The evil genius replied.
- "Take all the time you want." Donald said.
- "Oh, thanks." Douglas started, but his older brother turned off the call. "I..."
- "Douglas is up to something." The father replied. "He's obviously trying to distract us with this Krane guy."
- "Well, maybe so, but what if he's telling the truth?" Chase asked.
- "Yeah. We've seen Krane face-to-face. He is a total creep." The Davenport girl said.
- "Yeah." The tall guy nodded. "Nice eyes, though."
- "Trust me, this is exactly what Douglas wants. Don't fall for his trap. My brother is the real threat." The scientist explained.
- "You don't know that." The alien girl replied.
- "He's my brother. I know him." Donald said.
- "And I read his mind. I know him better than you do." The Matthews girl explained.
- "That's why you accepted his friend request?" Bree asked.
- "No, I accepted his friend request because I know that he has a good side." Maddie said.
- "After everything he did, I don't believe that, anymore." The father walked away.
- "You really think that Douglas has a good side?" Leo questioned.
- "I do. And it's only a matter of time, before he's back to his kind self." The alien girl replied.
- "I hope you're right." The bionic girl sighed.

In the meanwhile, in a secret lair, Krane was grunting and screaming in his lair, while implanting himself with more bionic abilities.

The next morning, the team was in the lab, getting ready for school when Donald walked in.
- "Good news." He said.
- "We're kicking Chase off the team?" Adam asked.
Maddie slapped him upside the head.
- "We should kick you out. I mean, I have super strength and heat vision on top of all of my powers, so you're useless." She smiled.
- "That's mean." The tall guy frowned.
- "No, you know how that feels." The Matthews girl replied.
- "No. Until I figure out what's going on with Douglas, nobody's going to school." The father explained.
- "Yeah!" The eldest teenager exclaimed.
- "Aw, no way! I'm gonna miss my chemistry test!" Chase complained.
- "Nerdiest sentence, ever." Bree said.
- "Definitely." Maddie nodded.
- "Well, Leo already left." Adam added.
- "I sent Tasha to pick him up. In the meantime, we have a new state-of-the-art security fence. Capable of withstanding any threat, even bionic and alien ones." The scientist explained. "Behold! The..."
- "Wait! Let me guess. 'The DavenFence!'." The bionic girl mocked.
- "No, that's lame. This is the new cybersecurity perimeter DavenWall!" Donald corrected. "I control it remotely from my wrist." He scanned his thumb on his wrist remote.
- "Lab security perimeter engaged." A robotic voice said.
- "Whoa." The tall guy said, amazed.
- "Yeah. And this little baby can only be turned on and off using my own personal thumbprint." The father replied.
- "Dad, I applaud your efforts, but I can easily break out of this thing by using my fingerprint recognition app." The genius boy smirked.
- "Uh, actually, you can't. I removed my fingerprints from your database." The scientist said. "And you can't teleport, either." He pointed at the alien girl.
Dang it. The green hazel-eyed boy sighed.
- "Surprising." The Matthews girl, sarcastically, replied.
- "But, I can come and go anytime I want, by wearing this." Donald pointed to his wrist remote.
- "But, wait. What if you lose the remote? We'll be stuck in here forever." Adam said.
- "I'm not gonna lose the remote." The father began walking away.
- "But, what if it runs out of batteries?" The tall guy asked.
- "It doesn't use batteries." The scientist said.
- "But what if you lose your thumbs?!" The eldest teenager questioned.
- "I'm not gonna lose my thumbs!" Donald yelled, before scanning his thumb and leaving through the DavenWall, with a crazed look.
- "Just because he says it confidently does not mean it can't happen." Adam replied.
- "True." Maddie nodded.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, at school, Leo closed his locker and turns around, only to see Douglas a couple feet away.
- "Aah!" He screamed in a high-pitched voice as he dropped his books. "I mean... Aah!" He did a low-pitched scream and got into a fighting stance.
- "Relax." The evil genius said.
- "I am relaxed, I'm very relaxed! Let's do this, Spiky! Let's get real!" The short boy tried to fight Douglas, who easily blocked all of his attacks.
- "You done?" The uncle asked.
- "Oh. Giving up, I see." The Davenport boy replied. "What do you want?"
- "You're smart, Leo. You and Maddie knew about me and Marcus before anybody else. So you, have to believe me about Krane!" Douglas explained.
- "All right. Talk." Leo said.
- "Krane and I used to be on the same page; Get my kids back, use 'em to rob banks, pull scams, you know, garden variety bad guy stuff." The evil genius replied. "But I was never gonna hurt them."
- "Marcus tried to kill me!" The short boy yelled, outrageously.
- "I said them!" The uncle exclaimed. "Listen, Krane is completely out of control. He's got a serious score to settle with the world and now, he has the bionics to do it."
- "Why does he want Adam, Bree, and Chase?" The Davenport boy asked.
- "He doesn't want them, he wants to destroy them. They're the only ones with Maddie, who can stand in his way. But I didn't tell him about her bionics, so for now, she's safe." Douglas explained. "Look, I'm scared, Leo, and you should be, too. Watch this." He pulled out his phone and played a video, party music was heard. "Oh, sorry. That's my 40th birthday party. We had a burger truck." He chuckled.
- "Stop it." Leo said.
- "This is it." The evil genius showed a video of Krane implanting himself with bionics.
- "Yeah, that dude's no joke." The short boy replied, with wide eyes. "So, what am I supposed to do?"
- "Talk to my brother." The uncle put his hand on his nephew's shoulder. "He'll believe you. If you and Maddie, both, tell him, he'll have to believe it. I gotta get back before Krane blows a gasket. Literally. He has one right under here." He pointed to his shoulder, before walking away.
The Davenport boy took out his phone and called his father.
- "Hello?" Donald said.
- "Hey, Big D, it's Leo." The latter started. "Listen..."
- "What? Speak up. I can't hear you!" The scientist exclaimed.
- "It's Leo! Listen, Douglas just came by school and I hate to say it, but, I think he's telling the truth about Krane." Leo explained. "Dee was right."
- "Haha! Just kidding, you got my voicemail." Donald laughed. "Beeps on you!" The call ended.
The short boy rolled his eyes.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Douglas walked in his lair, with a bag of groceries.
- "Oh, hey. Sorry I'm late. I was at the grocery store." He said.
- "Nice try. I know where you've been." Victor replied.
- "Yeah, you got me." The genius smiled. "I talked to the kid. But I was just trying to turn him over to our side." He chuckled.
- "Our side?" The blue-eyed man evil laughed. "I work alone now. I don't need you anymore. For anything. It's over."
- "Oookay... Damn." The Davenport man said. "Well, you could have told me that before I gave you my share of this month's rent. Well, I, uh... I guess I'll just get going, then." He headed to the door.
The Krane man used his molecular kinesis to pull Douglas by the neck, choking him, and then pushed him down onto the floor.
- "Good riddance." Victor said. "Babe." He mocked.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, in the lab, Adam took off his shoe and threw it at the DavenWall, which deflected it and the shoe bounced off.
- "Oh-hoho! Awesome! Uh, let's see, what else I can throw?" He smiled and turned around to his brother, who was reading.
- "Don't even think about it." The two geniuses, simultaneously, replied.
Donald walked into the lab with his thumbprint to get through the DavenWall.
- "Something's wrong. Leo just left a message that Douglas showed up at school, and now I can't find him or Tasha." He explained.
- "He wouldn't do that, now." Maddie said.
- "I told you, Maddison. He has no good side." The father replied.
- "Oh, well, I'm sure we'll find them if you keep us locked down here in the basement." Bree sassed.
A screen in front of them turned on and showed the mother and her middle son tied up inside Krane's warehouse.
- "Help!" Leo yelled.
- "Can anybody hear us?!" Tasha shouted.
- "Help us!" The short boy exclaimed.
- "I knew it! Douglas has them!" The scientist replied.
- "Guess again." Victor appeared on the screen.
- "Ha! Told you!" The alien girl exclaimed. The Davenports looked at her. "I know, it's bad timing, but I was right."
- "Guys! Don't worry. We'll get you out of there." Chase said.
- "Chase, don't make promises you can't keep!" The tall guy whisper-yelled.
- "So, you're Victor Krane. Love the face. Do you get all the premium channels on that thing, or...?" Donald asked.
- "He's even uglier than what I saw." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Right." The bionic girl nodded.
- "Enough. Hand over the bionic kids. The four of them." The blue-eyed man ordered.
- "Not gonna happen." The father scoffed.
- "This isn't a game. I've sent you my coordinates. They have ten minutes to get here, or I downsize your family." The Krane man explained.
- "Donald!" The mother yelled.
- "Where's Douglas?" The blue-eyed girl asked.
- "He's where he belonged since 2002." Victor smirked.
The screen flashed off. The scientist stared at it, defeated.
- "They're gonna be okay, Donnie." Maddie put her hand on his shoulder. "And you know your brother, he probably faked his death. Again."
The genius boy picked up a tablet on the console.
- "I got him! He's at the corner of Prescott and Maple." He said.
- "Ooh, nice neighborhood. Crime does pay." The eldest teenager replied.
- "Let's go!" The Davenport girl yelled.
The team headed to their capsules.
- "No!" Donald yelled. The four stopped. "There's too many unknowns with this Krane guy. This one I do alone."
Adam stifled a laugh.
- "You?!" The green hazel-eyed boy asked, in disbelief.
- "Yes, me!" The father exclaimed, slightly outrageous.
- "Aww, it's so cute when he gets all macho!" The tall guy said, condescendingly.
- "Okay, no offense, but, if this guy's too dangerous for us, then, how are you gonna beat him?" The mission leader asked.
- "With this." The scientist held out his wrist and a weapon extended. "My thermal blaster." He aimed it at his right. "Trust me, you do not wanna be on the wrong end of this baby." He looked at it, and realized the weapon was on the wrong side, he turned it around to its correct position.
- "I wasn't THAT worried, but now, I am." The alien girl said.
- "This is the most powerful weapon I've ever created." Donald explained. "It's like carrying around a lightning bolt. It will fry Krane's circuits for good."
- "Or you can wear your motorcycle outfit, and he'll die of laughter." The eldest teenager chuckled.
The girls snickered.
- "Look, Dad, you can't go alone. Krane is a powerhouse. He's the toughest enemy we've ever faced!" Chase replied.
- "You've ever faced." The Matthews girl corrected.
- "Right. The Krees." The genius boy nodded. "At least, take Mads with you."
- "No, like you, she is a teenager. You, guys, face enough danger, you don't need to face more." The father said.
- "You do realize that on Earth, I'm practically indestructible?" Maddie asked.
- "Not gonna happen." The scientist replied.
- "And without my speed or M's teleportation, you'll never make it!" Bree exclaimed.
- "My DavenCycle will get me there in plenty of time." Donald explained. "I'll have Leo and Tasha home by dinner!"
- "Okay... But if you're not back by 6:30, we're eating without you." The eldest teenager said.
The father turned around and ran out of the lab.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Victor was leading mother and son to the other side of the room.
- "You know, I am a fairly well-known TV personality, and this could bring a lotta heat in your way." Tasha said.
- "I've seen your reporting. I'm doing the world a favor!" The blue-eyed man replied, before pushing the offended journalist into a giant metal box.
- "Hey! If you hurt my family, I will hunt you down, so you better take me out, too." Leo explained.
- "All right." The Krane man, menacingly, cracked his knuckles.
- "Box it is!" The short boy exclaimed and walked inside the box, terrified.
- "Sweetie, you gotta stop talking." Tasha said. Victor closed the door and locked it. "Adam, Bree, Chase, and Maddie will be here any minute, and they will take care of you!"
- "No, they won't. Your egocentric husband will try to be a hero and play right into my hands." The blue-eyed man explained.
Donald banged open the door.
- "Haha!" The door slammed shut and hit him in the face.
- "Told you." The Krane man replied.
The father opened the door again and entered.
- "Sorry, I'm late!" He yelled.
- "No." Victor chuckled. "You're right on time!"
The scientist shot his thermal blaster at the blue-eyed man, making him scream in pain. The Krane man held out his hand to block the blaster and started to absorb its energy.
- "What's happening?!" The son asked.
- "I don't know how he's doing it, but he's draining all the power from my blaster!" Donald yelled. Victor, manically, laughed and finished draining the blaster of its energy. "Okay, well that was the main thrust of my plan." He got into a fighting stance. "I guess it's gonna be hand-to-hand combat."
- "And we're doomed." Leo said.
The Krane man walked toward the father and attacked him. The scientist blocked it, but Victor used his bionics to weaken Donald.
- "You blocked me outta the lab with your little security fence. Turn it off." The blue-eyed man ordered.
- "Never!" The father yelled.
The Krane man knocked him onto the ground.
- "I figured you'd say that, so I'm gonna give you a choice. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Maddie..." He turned to mother and son. "Or them. It's up to you."
- "I'll never make that choice." The scientist replied.
- "How 'bout now?" Victor pressed a button on a remote, the metal box powered up, and a red light appeared inside it.
- "What is that?" The mother asked.
- "An exothermic energy field. It's like a microwave. Good for chicken." The blue-eyed paused and deepened his voice. "Bad for humans. They should be well-done in about... six minutes."
- "Look, just let them go. Take me instead." Donald said.
- "Well, that wouldn't be as much fun." The Krane man evil chuckled. "But you can stop this. All you gotta do is turn off the security perimeter. Tick-tock."
The machine started to be heat up, as the father struggled to make a decision.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, in the lab, Chase was laying under a dismantled console, while his best friend was crouched down, next to him, handing him the tools.
- "Hurry! We have to get out of here and help them!" Bree yelled.
- "I'm trying! I hacked through the encryption, but it won't let me go any further without a fingerprint." The genius boy explained, frustrated.
- "Ooh, I have a fingerprint!" Adam held up a finger.
- "I meant Dad's." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.
- "Why would I have Dad's fingerprint? Think, Chase, think!" The tall guy pointed at his brain.
- "We all wish you did." Maddie smiled. "We have to find something he touched, recently."
- "Yes, but what?" Bree asked.
- "It can be anything." The alien girl replied. "As long as his fingerprint is on it."
- "Hey, isn't that his coffee mug?" The bionic girl pointed at a white mug with Donald's face on it, sitting on the console across the room.
- "Yes, perfect!" The Matthews girl exclaimed as she helped her best friend get up.
- "Ah, good one. Let's have a cup of joe and talk about the good ol' days while Chase figures it out." The eldest reached for the mug.
- "Stop!" Chase stopped him. "Bree's right. I can use my fingerprint recognition app to pull his thumbprint from his cup. Then, we can shut down the perimeter."
- "Okay, but, if that doesn't work." Adam held up all of his ten fingers. "I've got twelve of these bad boys and, odds are, one of 'em's bound to do something."
- "How did he get to twelve?" Maddie frowned.
- "No idea." The Davenport girl shook her head.
- "Alright." The mission leader started. "As soon as the perimeter is down, Mads, you'll teleport to them. We can't waste any time by making you teleport us. You'll teleport and Bree will super speed us. Got it?"
- "Got it." The alien girl nodded. "I'm gonna put on my mission suit." She headed to her capsule.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, mother and son were profusely sweating in the metal box's heat.
- "Donald!" Tasha shouted. "Do something!"
- "Stop! They have nothing to do with it!" Donald yelled.
- "And yet, they seem to have everything to do with it." Victor replied.
- "Don't give in, Big D! We can take it!" Leo exclaimed.
- "Really?!" The blue-eyed man turned up the heat in the box with his remote.
- "Oh yeah! Okay, that burns! Yeah!" The short boy took off his jacket.
- "Stop talking to him!" The mother shouted.
- "You're running out of time." The Krane man said.
- "Just stop!" The father tried to take the remote.
Victor pulled him down by the neck with his molecular kinesis, making the scientist groan in pain.
- "I thought you were smarter than this." He replied. "You will never beat me. Give me Adam, Bree, Chase, and Maddie or you will lose everything." Donald's wrist remote beeped, he, quickly, got up and started tapping on it. "What's that?"
- "Nothing, my fantasy football team is winning." The father lied as he continued to tap on the watch.
- "Lab security perimeter disengaged." A robotic voice said.
- "Why'd you turn it off?" The son asked.
- "I didn't!" The scientist yelled as the blue-eyed man, evilly, laughed. "It's okay, I can re-arm it from here."
- "Too late!" The Krane man geo-leaped to the lab.
Maddie teleported in.
- "He can geo-leap?! I haven't even cracked that yet!" Donald yelled, frustrated.
- "You know what? I'd love to help you with that if my brain cells weren't BOILING!!!" Leo shouted.
- "He's in the lab?" The alien girl asked, in panic.
- "Dee!" The short boy exclaimed. "We're gonna be okay!" He sighed, in relief.
- "Hey!" The father yelled, offended. "I was here!"
- "No offense, Big D. But giving the number of times, Dee saved all of our asses, I trust her more to save us." The son said.
- "Agreed." The journalist nodded.
The scientist looked at them, offended and in shock.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, the bionic trio stepped out of their capsules, wearing their mission suits.
- "Come on, let's get outta here." Bree said.
Victor geo-leaped in front of them, blocking their path.
- "Not so fast." He smiled.
Crap. Chase thought.
- "Quick, turn the fence back on!" Adam whisper-yelled.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few seconds later, Donald and Maddie were, desperately, searching for a way to break open the metal box.
- "Get us out of here!" Leo yelled.
- "I can't use my thermal blaster 'cause Krane drained all the power out of it!" The father yelled.
- "And I can't use my heat vision, or it could explode!" The alien girl replied. "Same goes with super strength and opening the door while the heater is activated, and I can't teleport in!"
- "What kind of evil villain's lair doesn't have a large device for cutting metal?" The scientist asked as he searched on the table.
- "Just do something! I can't take much more." Tasha said, exhausted.
- "Wait! Maybe I can use my freeze breath to freeze the box. It would break the heater." The Matthews girl suggested.
- "And you'll be able to punch the wall to set us free, without making us blow up!" The short boy exclaimed.
- "Yes! Exactly!" Maddie smiled.
- "Is... Is that safe?!" The mother asked.
- "I don't know, maybe we should consult the comic books, before we rush into anything." Donald sassed.
- "Just do it!!!" The son shouted.
- "Okay! Here goes." The alien girl said.
She blew her freeze breath on the metal box, slowly, freezing it.
- "Now, I'm freezing." Leo said as his teeth chattered.
Mother and son hugged each other to keep each other warm.
- "Just hang on! Continue like that, Maddison." The father smiled.
The Matthews girl blew even more and, entirely, froze the box. She took a deep breath and walked towards the box.
- "Get to the sides." She said.
Mother and son hid on each side of the door. Maddie grabbed the handle and pulled on it, ripping off the door with her super strength. They ran out, excitedly.
- "You did it!" The short boy hugged his best friend.
The parents smiled and joined the hug.
- "Yes!" The son exclaimed.
- "Oh!" Donald winced, in pain, before pushing them away. "Cold, cold, cold! You're freezing me, you're freezing me, you're freezing me. Whoo!"
- "Well, I don't have a problem with their temperatures." The alien girl hugged mother and son, tightly.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
In the meanwhile, in the lab, the bionic trio were circling Victor.
- "So... How would you like your lives to end?" He asked.
- "Livin' on Mars. Accidentally take off my helmet." Adam explained. "Get him!" He fired his flame vision at the blue-eyed man, who blocked the flames and held it.
He grunted, then threw the flames at the tall guy, who ducked.
What the heck? Chase frowned.
Bree super speeded over to the console and grabbed a tablet.
- "Later, freak!" She exclaimed as she pressed a button on the tablet, and the compartmentalized lab floor opened below the Krane man, making him fall in as he screamed.
Suddenly, Victor super-jumped out of the pit and hit the bionic girl in the stomach with an energy ball, sending her crashing onto a wall.
The genius boy locked his jaw as he looked at the man.
- "Bree!" The eldest sibling yelled. He, furiously, charged at the blue-eyed man. They fell into the opening in the floor. The green hazel-eyed helped his sister up as they heard fighting and yelling from below. Adam hopped out of the opening. "Got him!"
The mission leader closed the floor opening with the tablet and high-fived his brother. Good job.
The Krane man geo-leaped back to them.
- "Never mind, get him!" The tall guy yelled.
The trio lunged at Victor, who used his molecular kinesis to pick the three of them up, before dropping them on the ground.
- "Well, this has been fun. But all good things..." He formed an energy ball. "Must come to an end!" He yelled.
The blue-eyed man was hit with an energy ball and was blasted across the room. The bionic trio looked up to see Douglas enter the room with a weapon.
- "Hi, kids. Good to see ya." He aimed the cannon at his ex-boyfriend.
Mads was right. He's on your side, now. Chase thought.
The trio got up.
- "I thought I finished you." The Krane man got up.
- "Yeah, that's what I wanted you to think." The genius man chuckled. "I'm gettin' pretty good at faking my own death."
He might be on your side, but he's still weird. The genius boy frowned.
- "Good luck faking your way around this!" Victor fired a blue laser at the Davenport man, sending him to the floor.
- "Kids..." Douglas coughed, in pain. "You might wanna leave for this next part." He shielded himself with his arms.
The blue-eyed man formed an energy ball.
No! The mission leader slid across the floor and shielded Douglas with his force field.
The Krane man fired his energy ball, but it deflected off Chase's force field and blasted him across the room.
- "Thanks." The genius man looked at his nephew, in shock.
- "You're welcome." The genius boy got up and held out his hand to his creator, who took it.
- "Dude! You finally did something!" Adam exclaimed as he patted his brother's back.
Yes, I did. The green hazel-eyed boy smirked, proudly.
The genius man ran over to his ex-boyfriend with his weapon and aimed to his face.
- "I should've done this a long time ago! This time, I'm breaking up with you." He said.
- "Guys!" Donald yelled as he walked through Maddie's portal, followed by his wife and the childhood best friends.
The youngest man looked at his older brother, causing Victor to use the distraction to geo-leap away.
- "Oh, no! You let him get away!" He yelled.
- "Damn it! I didn't have time to read his mind!" The blue-eyed girl exclaimed.
- "Get out of my house!" The father aimed his thermal blaster at his younger brother, who put down the cannon and raised his hands.
- "No! Dad, it's okay! Douglas saved us from Krane!" The genius boy defended.
- "Told you he was good." The alien girl smiled.
- "Saved you? He's the reason we're having to fight Krane in the first place." The scientist explained.
He's right. The Matthews girl thought.
- "Don, I can explain!" Douglas replied.
- "You're lucky I'm letting you go. Now, get out of here before I change my mind!" Donald shouted.
The younger brother hesitated as the eldest gave him a warning look.
- "Hey, if you're gonna blast him, can you get it over with? 'Cause this getting really uncomfortable!" The tall guy exclaimed.
Douglas walked away, sadly. Maddie turned, invisible and discreetly, followed him.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Maddie was sitting on her bed when Chase walked in.
- "Sure, come on in." The alien girl snickered.
- "Are you okay?" The bionic boy asked as he sat at the edge of the bed.
- "I'm fine." The Matthews girl smiled.
- "I know you don't want to talk about what happened to you, when you were on the Kree ship." The Davenport boy started, causing his best friend to lowered her head. "But, what I do know, it's that being trapped with no way out in a room, definitely, brought out some memories." He put his hands on top of hers.
- "You have no idea." The blue-eyed girl sniffled.
- "Come here." The green hazel-eyed boy pulled her, into his arms.
- "I don't want to talk about it." Maddie said, against his neck.
- "I know. But I'll be there, if, one day, you want to." Chase replied.
- "Okay." The alien girl sighed. "So, you believe me, now, about Douglas?"
- "I do. The brother Dad used to know is coming back." The bionic boy nodded.
- "Yep." The Matthews girl smiled. "It's gonna take some time. But I'm sure, they will go back to how they were before."
- "I really hope for them." The Davenport boy smiled back. "I also hope that Adam, Bree, Leo and I never turn on each other like they did."
- "You won't." The blue-eyed girl pulled away from his chest. "You, guys, are way closer and let's be honest, nicer, than them."
- "I really hope, Mads." The green hazel-eyed boy replied. "And we had an idea to get revenge on Dad."
- "Ooh, I'm listening." Maddie smiled.
Chase smirked.

The next day, the team was standing in the tunnel when Donald walked over.
- "Hey. What are you guys doing?" He asked.
- "Safely watching you from outside the cyber perimeter that we just turned on." Bree replied.
- "Ah, I see. This is revenge for me trapping you in the lab." The father said.
- "Nah, the real revenge will happen when you touch the fence. We upped the voltage. I should know, I touched it three times." Adam looked at his hand.
- "Yep. And then we upped it again. The slightest contact will short-circuit the entire house. And leave you hairless." Chase explained.
- "The last part was my idea." Maddie smiled. "That's for trapping me in the lab, when you know how I spent the first five years of my life."
- "Yep! Enjoy!" The genius boy wrapped his arm around his best friend and they walked away.
- "I get it. You guys want me to think it's on, but it's not really on." The scientist said.
- "Whatever you need to tell yourself." The tall guy walked away.
- "Of course, you would expect me to think it's not on, therefore, it may actually be on." Donald frowned, worryingly.
- "It's a real possibility, isn't it? Bye-bye!" The bionic girl waved and followed the others.
- "But only a fool would think it's on, and I'm no fool. I'm a genius! So there's absolutely no way that this thing is on." The father headed out. The lights were flashing off as his high-pitched screams were heard all over the house.
- "Sweet, sweet revenge." The alien girl laughed.
The green hazel-eyed boy smiled as he looked at his best friend, in awe.
