Universe 124

Friday, 24th March 2017

The next day, in the other universe, Chase was walking down the streets when he saw a familiar figure.

No. He frowned as he looked at the birthmark. It can't be. He followed it into a dark alley.

- "Why are you following me?" The woman pushed him against a wall.

- "Mads?" The genius boy frowned, in shock.

Maddie took a step back.

- "You know me?" She asked.

- "Of course, I do." The green hazel-eyed boy nodded. "Don't you?"

- "I lost my memories over a year ago." The Matthews girl sighed.

- "I can prove it to you." Chase took out his phone and showed her pictures of the both of them.

- "You really know me." The blue-eyed girl said, in shock. "I'm sorry. I don't remember you."

- "It's okay. You were aspired by a wormhole. This, plus the crash back on Earth, must have caused this." The genius boy explained.

Maddie sighed.

- "I don't remember anything." She replied. "I only know my name because I had my ID on me."

- "I can show you." The green hazel-eyed boy smiled softly.

- "Why am I trusting you?" The Matthews girl frowned.

- "Because your brain may not remember me, but your heart and your guts do." Chase said. "Come on, Mads." He extended his hand. "Let me take you home."

The blue-eyed girl frowned, before taking his hand.

The two walked away.

In the meanwhile, the three superheroes were in the main room.

- "Um, Oliver, why did you just send me a text that says I make you feel all tingly inside?" Kaz asked.

- "What? No, that wasn't meant for you. It was for Ez. It's my big thumbs, I'm cursed." Oliver complained.

- "Since it's out in the open, I say we all discuss this tingly feeling." The Karev boy smiled.

- "I say we don't." Skylar frowned as she started to walk away.

Bree walked down the stairs.

- "Uh, guys, I think I just discovered another superpower I got from the Arcturion. Look." She extended her hands and light came out of them.

- "Oh, cool! Flashlight hands." The brown-eyed boy said.

- "Why would I need flashlights in my hands?" The hybrid asked.

- "Because if they were in your feet, they wouldn't be as useful." Kaz, sarcastically, replied.

- "Actually, could you shine those bad boys over here? I think I lost a peanut." The blue-eyed boy said, as he was kneeling in front of the couch.

- "Superpowers are supposed to be cool. This is just lame." The Davenport girl complained.

- "Babe, your new power may seem lame, and absolutely hysterical." Skylar laughed. "But trust me, there must be a purpose. A big part of being a superhero is getting used to your powers and knowing how and when to use them. Don't worry." She side-hugged her girlfriend. "You'll figure it out."

Douglas walked in the penthouse, looking worried.

- "What's wrong, Douglas?" The Karev boy questioned.

- "Something strange is going on outside. The whole city feels eerie. There are a lot more police sirens than usual." The uncle explained.

- "What do you think it is?" Bree asked.

- "I don't know. But something's definitely not right." The Davenport man said.

Chase walked in.

- "Guys, someone would like to say 'hi'." He smiled widely.

Maddie walked in.

- "M!" The hybrid ran to her and hugged her tightly. "You're here."

The Matthews girl looked at the genius boy, in distressed.

- "Bree, let her breath." He pulled his sister away.

- "How can you? You've been looking for her for over a year?" The Davenport girl frowned.

- "She lost her memories." The green hazel-eyed boy sighed. "She has no idea of who we are."

- "Sorry to disappoint." The blue-eyed girl sighed.

Everyone looked at her, in pity and shock.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of seconds later, the siblings were sitting on the couch with Maddie.

- "Douglas was right. Those sirens are really loud out there." Skylar said.

- "So, how did you find her?" Bree asked.

- "I was walking in the streets and I saw her. I immediately recognize her because of her birthmark." Chase started.

- "So he followed me like a creep." The Matthews girl added.

The genius boy scoffed, amused.

- "I was just trying to make sure you were you." He defended.

- "Creep." The blue-eyed girl whispered to the hybrid, who chuckled.

- "God, I missed you." She said.

I missed her too. The green hazel-eyed boy smiled.

- "I'm sorry, I don't remember you." Maddie frowned, sadly.

- "It's okay, we'll learn to know each other again." The Davenport girl wrapped her arm around her shoulders.

- "Exactly." Chase took her hand.

- "Thank you, guys." The Matthews girl smiled softly.

- "Mads, why don't you get to know everybody again while I go make us a snack?" The genius boy asked.

- "Only if you have M&Ms." The blue-eyed girl replied.

- "Of course, we do. Who do you think we are?" Oliver scoffed. "Animals?"

Maddie chuckled as the green hazel-eyed boy got up, letting go of her hand.

- "Is he always this cute?" She whispered.

- "Who?" Kaz questioned.

- "Chase." The Matthews girl replied.

- "Okay, you are definitely my sister." Bree frowned.

The blue-eyed girl rolled her eyes.

- "I'm back." Chase came back with a tray with different snacks.

- "Thank you, Chase." Maddie said.

- "You're welcome." The genius boy replied.

The Matthews girl started to eat a few snack as she looked around.

The green hazel-eyed boy just looked at her, he felt like his heart was going to burst. She's back.

- "Memories or not, she has no taste." The Karev boy frowned.

- "Can I have a word with you guys?" Douglas walked up to them. "In private." He walked further away.

- "Absolutely." The brown-eyed boy nodded.

- "I'll be right back, Mads." Chase got up.

- "Okay." The blue-eyed girl nodded.

The Elite Force followed the uncle.

- "I told you something weird was going on. I was just watching the Channel 5 news with Chip and Dixie, and they said strange things have been happening all over the city." He explained.

- "What kind of strange things, aside from people calling themselves Chip and Dixie?" The Calderan frowned.

- "Fires, ruptured gas lines, all sorts of random destruction." The Davenport man continued. "And get this. Eyewitnesses are saying it all started with a mysterious black swarm."

- "Hey, we know a mysterious black swarm." Kaz chuckled, before realizing. "Oh."

- "Roman and Riker." The genius boy locked his jaw.

- "Hold on. Let's not jump to conclusions. It is tornado season." The Evers boy replied. "You're not the only one who watches Chip and Dixie."

- "How did he get a lover before me?" The Karev boy frowned.

The blue-eyed boy glared at his best friend.

- "Roman and Riker must be changing up their strategy." The green hazel-eyed boy said. "Instead of attacking us, they're attacking the people of Centium City."

- "Why?" Oliver asked.

- "Because they couldn't get our list of the superheroes' locations." The Storm girl continued.

- "Instead of fighting the superheroes themselves, I bet they're trying to lure them out by using innocent civilians as bait." The brown-eyed boy added.

- "I better go down and use the encrypted network to warn the superheroes." Skylar walked towards the hidden Hyper-Lift when the power turned off.

- "What was that?" Maddie asked.

- "The whole city just went dark." The hybrid said.

- "Don't just stand there. Turn on your flashlight hands." Kaz replied, making her glare at him.

- "This isn't good. You guys need to suit up and get moving." Douglas added.

Almost everyone went upstairs, besides the smart guys.

- "Got it. Whatever you do, do not let her leave." Chase said, making the Matthews girl frown. "I mean, it's really dangerous out there. You should probably stay here with Douglas."

- "Okay." The quadbrid nodded.

- "Alrighty then." The genius boy giggled, before turning to his uncle. "Do not let her leave." He whispered, before going upstairs.

- "Oliver, care to explain why you just invited me to a post-mission cuddle session?" The davenport man asked.

- "Stupid thumbs. Can you forward that to Ezra?" The Evers boy asked.

Douglas gestured to him to go.

The blue-eyed ran upstairs.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A few minutes later, the Elite Force arrived in the streets of the dark city.

People were running and screaming.

- "Roman and Riker trashed the entire city." Oliver said.

- "Yeah, yeah, quit yapping and let's find 'em already so I can get back to Mads." Chase replied.

- "Yes, Chase, because getting you back to your almost girlfriend should be everyone's top priority right now." Bree, sarcastically, said. "Actually, it probably should be. It might not ever happen again."

The genius boy rolled his eyes.

- "Guys, I hear the swarm." Kaz warned. "Everyone get ready."

The whole team got into a fighting stance.

- "It sounds like they're coming from every direction. Where are they?" Skylar asked.

A swarm attacked a man, throwing him away.

- "Well, I think we found 'em." The Karev boy replied.

The childhood best friends ran after the civilian.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

In the meanwhile, Maddie and Douglas were sitting on the couch, an awkward silence filling the room.

- "So Chip and Dixie say there's a new panda at the zoo." He started.

- "You know, we can just sit in silence if you want." The Matthews girl said.

- "Oh, thank you." The uncle sighed. "I don't know what to say to you without your memories."

- "I get it. It's weird." The blue-eyed girl nodded.

- "Douglas!" Perry ran in. "Matthews? Chaz found her?"

- "He did. But she lost her memories." The Davenport man walked up to her.

- "Sorry to hear that, Matthews." Terry frowned.

- "Thanks." Maddie replied. "Who are you?"

- "Your old principal. And old head of security. And a family friend." The older woman explained.

- "Nice to meet you." The Matthews girl said.

- "Anyhoo, I saw the news." Perry turned to the man. "The city is being overrun by a giant swarm. I'm scared, Dougie." She hugged him.

- "And now I'm scared." Douglas pushed her away. "The team is out taking care of it."

- "But what if they don't? What if they never come back?" Terry asked, nervous. "Then you and I will have this giant penthouse all to ourselves. And just like that, I'm rootin' for the bad guys."

- "I'm gonna go up to the roof and turn on the emergency generator to get some light in here." The uncle said.

- "I'll go with you." The older woman replied. "I once had a dream that we were up on the roof. Two young babes under a blanket of stars."

- "Sounds nice. Did I jump?" The Davenport man questioned.

The blue-eyed girl snickered.

- "Just stay here with Maddie till I get back." Douglas walked away.

- "Look at us, two pretty gals in the big city, awaiting our gentlemen callers." Perry chuckled.

- "My gentleman?" Maddie frowned.

- "Yeah, Chaz." Terry nodded. "He was almost your boyfriend when you were aspired by the wormhole."

- "It's Chase." The Matthews girl corrected. "And really?"

- "Yeah. We should give each other makeovers and surprise our guys." The older woman suggested.

- "No, no, that's..." The blue-eyed girl started.

- "I know what you're thinking. How could I get any more beautiful, right?" Perry smiled. "Well, if I'm being honest, the makeover is more for you than it is for me. Come on." She took her hand and dragged her upstairs. "Oh, I'm gonna make you look so glamorous."

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A few minutes later, the team was still helping civilians.

- "We gotta get these people outta here." Bree said.

- "Bree, look out!" Oliver pointed behind her.

A swarm chase after a woman, the hybrid put herself in front of her and used her proton ring to chase the swarm away.

- "I don't get it. How can they be causing so much damage?" Chase frowned. "There's only two of them."

Another swarm came.

- "I got this one." Kaz said, before using his fire powers on the swarm, making it fly away towards Skylar, who jumped to the side.

She blasted the swarm.

- "I didn't know that Roman and Riker's swarm could split up and be in different places at the same time." The Davenport girl frowned.

- "It can't." The Karev boy replied.

- "Guys, we're not just fighting Roman and Riker. We're fighting multiple shape-shifters." The Calderan added.

That is just great. The genius boy thought.

Four swarms surrounded the Elite Force.

- "Okay, there are too many of them. We need to call the other superheroes for backup." The Evers boy said.

- "No way. That's exactly what Roman and Riker want us to do." The Storm girl shook her head. "I'm sure they're planning an even bigger attack when the superheroes show up."

A swarm attacked them, making them back up.

- "We need to concentrate on taking out one swarm at a time." The green hazel-eyed boy replied.

- "But how?" The blue-eyed boy asked.

- "Oh, maybe Bree can distract 'em with her flashlight..." Kaz started.

- "Enough with the flashlight hands!" Bree yelled.

Another swarm attacked them.

- "I still say we call the other superheroes in." Oliver said. "If these swarms take us out, they're gonna have to come and save the city anyway."

- "That's why it's up to us to save the superheroes and the city." Skylar replied.

A swarm threw the Karev boy away.

- "Kaz!" The hybrid ran after him and helped him up.

- "Skylar, we're outnumbered." The Evers boy frowned. "It's a suicide mission."

It's our mission to protect them. Chase thought.

- "It'll be tough, but we can do this." The Calderan said. "We are an elite force. Who's with me?" She extended her hand.

- "If I'm going down, I'm going down fighting." The genius boy put his hand on top of hers.

- "Me, too." The Davenport girl added her hand.

- "Yep." The brown-eyed boy sighed and put his hand as well.

They all turned to the blue-eyed boy.

- "I guess I'm in, too." He put his hand above.

- "Wow, you do have big thumbs. Look at that sucker." The Storm girl mocked.

Oliver pulled his hand away.

The green hazel-eyed boy smiled, amused.

- "Oh, no." The Evers boy said.

- "What are they doing?" Skylar asked.

The four swarm merged to become one.

- "They're coming together!" The blue-eyed boy yelled.

Chase grabbed the arms of his sister and her girlfriend.

- "Brace yourselves!" He shouted.

The team held on to each other as the genius boy put his force field around them.

The huge swarm came at them, knocking them out.

They all groaned on the floor as a hooded figure approached.

The figure took off his hood.

He was a 5'11 man with black eyes and black hair.

- "Good work, my children." He looked up. "Good work."

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

In the meanwhile, the two women were still in the penthouse.

- "Oh, good, the lights are back on." Perry walked down the stairs with an exaggerated makeup. "Come on down, Matthews."

- "I don't want to." Maddie replied.

- "Get down here, girlie!" Terry yelled.

The Matthews girl came downstairs with the same makeup.

- "I think it's a little too much." She said.

- "Oh, it's a lot too much." The older woman chuckled. "The boys are gonna love it."

- "Okay." Douglas walked in without looking up. "I was able to turn the generator on."

- "Hello, Dougie." Perry replied.

The uncle looked up and screamed.

- "And now I'm gonna go turn it off again." He walked away.

- "Wait. You haven't seen the best part. I rouged my bunions. Be right back." Terry ran after him.

- "Take your time." The blue-eyed girl chuckled, before turning serious. "I've got work to do. Hyper-Lift, open." The Hyper-Lift opened. "I'm in." She said in her phone, before going down.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of minutes later, the team got up, quickly, when they saw the man standing behind them.

- "Who are you?" Chase asked.

- "I recognize him from Mighty Med." Skylar said.

- "It's Roman and Riker's father, Rodissius." Kaz added. "They had to take away his powers to save his life."

- "Hey, I've been meaning to ask you." Oliver walked up to Rodissius. "Isn't it a pain writing your name out all the time? Wouldn't it just be easier to go by Rod?"

The genius boy frowned. What the heck?

- "No." The villain replied.

- "Rodissius it is." The Evers boy nodded.

- "I see that your little Elite Force has finally realized you're no match for my family of shape-shifters." Rodissius said.

- "Family? How many kids do you have?" Bree questioned.

- "Thirteen. Believe me, Roman and Riker are the nice ones." The villain replied.

- "What does that say about you as a father?" The hybrid scoffed.

Rodissius walked up to her, angrily.

The Karev boy pulled her back and put himself in front of his friend.

- "You can attack this city all you want. But no amount of destruction will ever bring your powers back." He said. "And to be honest, you don't deserve them." He shrugged.

He definitely doesn't. The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head.

- "I may not have my powers, but my children do." The villain replied. "And as you can see, they're getting plenty of revenge for me."

- "They're attacking innocent people." The Calderan added.

- "I know. Isn't it great?" Rodissius smiled.

- "Look, Rod. See? It's got a nice ring to it." The blue-eyed boy continued. "We're on to your plan. You're attacking these people to lure the superheroes out."

- "Yeah, but it's not gonna work, because we're gonna take you down on our own." Chase said.

The villain laughed.

- "You think we're trying to lure the superheroes here. No." He shook his head. "Our plan is a little more complex than that."

- "How so?" The genius boy asked.

- "We didn't have to bring the superheroes here. We just had to get you away from your cyber desk." Rodissius explained.

- "There's someone in the house." The brown-eyed boy said.

- "Maddie." The Davenport girl frowned, sadly.

- "No." The green hazel-eyed boy shook his head. "No way. She wouldn't betray me. Or you, Bree."

- "I think she would. After all, she is my daughter." The villain replied.

- "What?!" Chase frowned, in disbelief.

- "I thought I would have to work a little harder to trick the smartest man in the world." Rodissius added. "But all I had to do was: send my daughter as the woman you love and miss." He smirked.

It's not Mads. The genius boy held back his tears. I brought a villain in our home.

- "Come on. We have to get back before she gets that superhero list." Kaz said, as he ran away with his best friends, leaving the siblings behind.

The green hazel-eyed boy ran after the others as Bree followed him, before turning to the laughing villain.

She walked back closer.

- "Well, what do you want?" Rodissius asked.

- "Nobody messes with my brother." The hybrid replied.

Chase ran back in to get his sister when she said that. What?

The Davenport girl activated her flashlights hands, before putting them together, creating a ball of electricity that she threw at the villain, who fell on the floor in pain.

She did that to defend me? The genius boy frowned.

- "Yeah! How do you like them flashlight hands, huh?" Bree mocked.

- "Bree!" The green hazel-eyed boy called out.

- "Oh." The hybrid turned to her brother. "Hey." She chuckled.

- "You defended me?" Chase frowned.

- "Always." The Davenport girl nodded. "You're my baby brother. I'll defend you against assholes any day." She smiled softly.

Language. The genius boy smiled back.

- "Thank you." He said.

- "You're welcome." Bree replied. "Now, let's go get this bitch." She grabbed his hand and super speeded them away.

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

In the meanwhile, the fake Maddie was at the cyber desk in Mission Command, looking for the superhero list.

- "Where is it? Ah, there we go. Got it." She said. "Come on. Hurry up and download."

- "Wait. There's more to my makeover. I painted all my toes to look like our future children!" Perry yelled from afar as Douglas entered the room, locking her out.

- "You know the rules. No kids in mission command." He replied. "Maddie. What are you doing?"

- "Uh, I was just looking for a good Wi-Fi connection." The fake Matthews girl lied.

- "How did you even know this was down here?" The uncle asked. "That's the superhero list. What are you up to?" The fake blue-eyed girl turned into a ball of fire. "What the..."

She hit him, pushing him against a wall.

The fake Maddie shape-shifted into a 5'5 woman with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

- "Who are you?" The Davenport man frowned.

- "My name is Reese." The latter replied.

- "Why are you doing this? Why did you take Maddie's identity?" Douglas questioned.

- "Just completing a mission my brothers couldn't." The brown-eyed girl said.

- "Wait. So you're..." The uncle started.

- "Roman and Riker's sister." Reese continued. "Their more powerful sister." She extended her hand and light came out of her fingers, entering the Davenport man's eyes, nose, and mouth as he screamed, before collapsing on the ground. "Did you feel the burn?" She crouched down next to him. "When you come to, you'll have a permanent reminder of what kind of power you're really dealing with." She walked out via the Hyper-Lift.

Terry walked in.

- "Whether it's breaking in here, or breaking out of a Turkish prison, you always got my back." She looked at the tool in her hand. "Dougie!" She ran to him.

The team ran in.

Chase crouched down next to Douglas.

- "What happened?" Skylar asked.

- "I don't know. I was chasing him all over, and when I found him down here, he was gasping for air." The older woman explained.

- "Why were you chasing him?" Bree questioned.

- "It was pretty obvious he wasn't gonna come willingly." Perry replied.

- "Go get help." The genius boy put his hand on her back.

Terry ran out.

- "Where's fake Maddie?" Oliver asked.

- "Reese." The uncle replied. "She took off right after she blasted me."

- "Douglas, I'm so sorry." The green hazel-eyed boy said as he checked his pulse and held his hand. "She got him good. His pulse is really weak."

- "That's not the only thing she got. She downloaded the superhero list." Kaz sighed.

Chase punched the wall as he yelled, frustrated.

- "This is all my fault!" He shouted.

- "Chase." The hybrid put her hand on his back. "It's okay. We all thought it was Maddie; you're not the only one she manipulated."

It's my fault, all because I couldn't recognize the woman I love. The genius boy thought. How can I say that I love her when I can't even recognize her?

- "Now they know where all the superheroes are." The Evers boy said. "We have to get on the encrypted network and warn them."

The Karev boy typed on the cyber desk again.

- "She blocked our access. We can't even get on." He replied.

- "I'll stay here with Douglas." The green hazel-eyed boy said, before getting up. "You guys head back out, try to find Reese. If it's a war they want... Then, we'll give 'em one."

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

A couple of minutes later, Douglas was taken to the nearest hospital.

Chase was in Mission Command, trying to access the encrypted network.

He hit the cyber desk with his fists, frustrated.

- "I can't get in!" He yelled.

- "What a shame." A man said.

The genius boy turned around.

- "Who are you?" He asked, defensively.

- "My name is Music Meister." The latter replied.

- "What do you want?" The green hazel-eyed boy frowned.

- "I want to bring you to the love of your life." Music Meister said.

- "What?" Chase questioned.

- "I put her in a coma." The brown-eyed man added.

- "Why would you do that?" The genius boy frowned.

- "To teach her a lesson." Music Meister smirked.

- "Stay away from her!" The green hazel-eyed boy yelled.

The brown-eyed man opened a portal, showing Maddie laying on a gurney, unconscious.

- "Mads..." Chase frowned.

- "Are you gonna go get her, or you're gonna stay here and doubt me?" Music Meister asked.

The genius boy looked at him, before sighing.

- "I'm gonna go get her." He said.

- "Good choice." The brown-eyed man replied. "Go on. Walk through it."

The green hazel-eyed boy took a deep breath and entered the portal.
