The next morning, Mon-El woke up, naked, in Kara's bed.
- "Good morning." He turned around, but he found the spot next to him empty and cold. "Kara? Kara! Was it that bad? Was it that good?" He got up and put on his underwear, before walking to the living room as he put on his t-shirt.
- "And it's been quite a morning for Supergirl and GreatGirl." The reporter on the TV said. "National City's own feminists heroes in capes have already prevented five armed robberies, delivered a litter of puppies, and given one very lucky tugboat owner some extra help hauling a tanker. They've done a lot more than me." She chuckled.
- "Morning." Supergirl flew in by the open window.
- "Hi." The Matthews man turned around.
- "I got you these." The Danvers woman handed him a bouquet of flowers.
- "Oh! What a gentleman." The Daxamite smiled.
The Kryptonian snickered as she handed him a coffee, before walking to her room.
- "Thank you." Mon-El replied and tried to follow her.
- "Just hang on, one sec." Supergirl stopped him as she super speeded into her plain clothes.
- "Okay." The Matthews man nodded and put the bouquet in a lamp.
The Danvers woman laughed.
- "Hi." The Daxamite took a sip of coffee, before putting it down.
- "So, I... I had a really nice time." The Kryptonian smiled widely.
- "Yeah?" Mon-El asked, making her nod. "Me, too." He wrapped his arms around her waist. "Um, one note."
- "Okay." Kara snaked her arms around his neck.
- "I would like to wake up next to you." The Matthews man said.
- "Oh." The Danvers woman looked at him, in awe.
- "Yeah." The Daxamite nodded, before leaning towards his lips, kissing her gently.
The Kryptonian broke the kiss as Mon-El tried to kiss her again.
- "Gosh, it's so nice to do that without breaking the guy's nose." Kara chuckled against his lips.
- "How many times did that happen?" The Matthews man pulled away, snickered.
- "Um..." The Danvers woman hid her face in her hands. "Less than five." She looked at him.
- "So four?" The Daxamite asked.
The Kryptonian laughed and buried her face in his neck.
- "Exactly four times." Mon-El chuckled, before kissing her lips again. "Hey, so, since you got your little superhero-ing out of the way for the day, can we maybe just stay here? Hmm?"
- "Oh, gosh, I really... I... Oh, no..." Kara held his face as she fought with herself.
- "Yes. Yes." The Matthews man nodded.
- "No, no, no." The Danvers woman pulled away from him. "'Cause we have to be at the D.E.O. in like 20 minutes." She picked up his clothes all over her room.
- "Boo!" The Daxamite exclaimed.
- "I know, I know." The Kryptonian threw his jeans at him. "Speaking of which, um, can we just keep this quiet?"
- "What you... You don't want people to know?" Mon-El asked as he put on his jeans.
- "No, no, I do. It's not that." Kara frowned. "It's just... Just for now. 'Cause the last time I liked someone, everyone in my life watched and commented on it. And I just really don't want that to happen to us."
- "Hmm." The Matthews man nodded. "So there's an 'us'?" He smiled.
- "Yeah." The Danvers nodded as she smiled widely.
- "Yeah? I like that." The Daxamite whispered, before kissing her again. They both smiled into the kiss, before pulling back. "Well, okay. We can keep it quiet."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few minutes later, the new couple arrived at the D.E.O.
- "Hey, everybody!" Mon-El called out. "Uh, quick thing. Kara and I are dating."
Kara glared at him, in disbelief.
Finally. Maddie thought as she extended her hands.
J'onn and Alex sighed and put money in them.
- "Thank you." The Matthews girl smiled.
- "Yes, it's awesome. Yes, we are very happy. And your jealousy is appropriate." The Matthews man chuckled as he continued. "You can carry on now. Thank you. Sorry."
- "Ten seconds." The younger Danvers said.
- "Yeah, I thought that was..." The Daxamite started.
- "You lasted... We just walked in." The Kryptonian continued. "It was 10 seconds."
- "Very, very short." Mon-El nodded. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. I mean, back on Daxam, they used to throw parties when people got together. You're lucky I didn't arrange a parade."
- "Ha ha!" Kara, sarcastically, laughed.
- "I'm just saying." The Matthews man shrugged.
The quadbrid smiled at her brother, who winked.
- "Can we just pretend like that never happened?" The younger Danvers asked.
- "I'd like nothing more. But unfortunately, as your supervisor, I have to ask you to report to HR." The J'onzz man explained, seriously.
The Kryptonian laughed.
- "Wait, you're serious?" She raised her eyebrows.
- "Kara, you're dating a co-worker." The green Martian said.
- "That's not... Wait, we have an HR?" Kara frowned.
- "Yep." Maddie nodded.
- "Walk this puppy down to the second floor and fill out all the forms Pam gives you in triplicate." J'onn walked away.
- "Oh, and you're gonna have to attend a mandatory sexual harassment seminar." The older Danvers walked away, amused.
- "Seriously?" The younger Danvers frowned.
- "It's going to be a rough sparring session for me?" The Daxamite asked.
- "You think?" The Kryptonian replied.
- "Okay, I'm gonna warm up." Mon-El walked away.
- "I'm happy for you, Kara." The Matthews girl said.
- "Thanks." Kara smiled softly.
The quadbrid nodded and followed her brother.
- "So, finally?" She smirked.
- "Yep." The Matthews man smiled widely.
- "Your cheeks must hurt." Maddie snickered.
- "Yeah, but it's worth it." The Daxamite said.
- "I'm so happy for you." The Matthews girl replied.
- "I'm so happy for me, too." Mon-El nodded. "I better go warm up. You're gonna watch?"
- "Oh, yeah." The quadbrid nodded. "I want to see her kick your ass. Again."
The Matthews man rolled his eyes, amused, and walked away.
- "Holy Cadmus cream egg!" Winn exclaimed.
- "Cadmus?" Maddie frowned as she walked back to her friends.
- "They've been dark since Lillian broke out of prison." The Danvers woman said.
- "Uh, well, they are back and with a vengeance. We've got a convoy coming out from one of their suspected weapon storage facilities." The Schott man explained.
- "Tell Alex and Mon-El to set up a back-up team." The Kryptonian replied.
- "Let's go." The Matthews girl said.
The two heroines walked away.
- "Teamwork makes the dream work!" The tech guy yelled after them.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the heroines flew towards the convoy.
- "I can't see inside." GreatGirl frowned as she tried to use her X-Ray vision.
The men in the cars surrounding the 18-Wheelers truck started to shoot at them with riffles.
The two heroines used their heat vision in front of the four vehicles to destabilize them, but they drove through the flames.
- "Cover me." Supergirl said.
- "Got it." The Matthews girl nodded.
The Danvers woman flew behind the head and the trailer of the truck.
She disconnected them as the quadbrid landed in front of the cars, creating a thunderclap to make the car fly and roll away.
The Kryptonian stopped the trailer, using her super strength.
GreatGirl checked if everyone was alive in the upside down car, and they were, so she super speeded towards the driver of the truck that got out and walked towards Supergirl.
The Matthews girl punched him, unconscious, before going to her mentor.
The Danvers woman rip the door of the trailer.
- "Oh, my God." She gasped.
Jeremiah was tied to chains, bleeding.
He had been beat up.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A few seconds later, the two heroines walked in the D.E.O. through a portal.
Jeremiah had his arms around them as they helped him walk, before letting him go.
- "They told me, but I didn't believe it." Alex ran to her father and hugged him tightly.
- "Alex. My Alex." He smiled into the hug. "Ow." Supergirl joined the hug. "Okay." He chuckled as he held on both of them.
Every agent in the room started to applaud the Danvers man.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Alex was checking on her father in the infirmary.
- "I don't know how long we were rotting out there in the Amazon, but I came to at Cadmus." Jeremiah explained. "They saved me, so I could save Henshaw. They forced me to keep him alive, to enhance him. Physically turn him into the monster he was beneath." He turned to J'onn. "It is strange seeing you in Henshaw's skin."
- "I hope I've put it to good use." He replied.
- "Better than he ever did." The father smiled.
- "But what happened after that?" Supergirl asked. "You were gone for such a long time."
- "I guess I did too good a job enhancing Henshaw, 'cause Cadmus wanted me to stick around, help 'em with other projects." The Danvers man sighed. "In the beginning, I tried to escape again and again. But, well, let's just say they didn't appreciate that very much."
- "I'm sorry, Doctor Danvers." GreatGirl frowned.
- "Oh, Dad." The older Danvers sister sighed. "I..."
- "It's okay, by... By working with them, I was helping to keep you and your sister safe." Jeremiah said.
- "I came as soon as I heard." Mon-El walked in.
- "Mon-El of Daxam. We meet again." The father chuckled.
- "I'm glad you're okay." The Matthews man replied. "Rox and I were worried after you let us out that Cadmus was gonna..."
- "Cadmus would imprison and torture me for betraying them? Yeah, well, you'd be right." The Danvers man nodded.
- "Dad, the uh, the damage to your hand is... It's extensive." The right hand said.
- "It's a punishment for helping Mon-El, Roxana and Kara escape." Jeremiah replied.
The Matthews girl sighed, guilty.
- "But I would do it again, in a heartbeat." The father continued. "I'm so lucky you found me. I'm so lucky to be back with you two." He looked at his daughters.
- "Well, it's more than luck." The Daxamite scoffed.
- "What do you mean?" The J'onzz man frowned.
- "We got an alert that Cadmus was moving a weapon, and we don't get alerts unless they're releasing a video, or we catch them red-handed." Mon-El said.
- "But we did catch them red-handed." The younger Danvers sister scoffed.
- "Though... No, they were waving their red hands around in the air literally like they just didn't care." The Matthews man replied.
He's right. The quadbrid frowned. It was too easy.
- "No..." The Kryptonian started.
- "No, Mon-El is right." The Danvers man nodded. "You need to keep your guard up. 'Cause Cadmus does have a weapon."
- "What is it?" The green Martian asked.
- "A nuclear fusion bomb." Jeremiah said. "They're going to destroy National City, and blame it on hostile aliens."
- "How did Cadmus get their hands on it?" GreatGirl questioned.
- "Well, they didn't steal it. They built it. Using the radiations they mined from your heat visions when you were in their custody." The father explained.
- "Oh, my God." Supergirl sighed.
This is terrible. The Matthews girl closed her eyes.

The next morning, the team explained everything to Winn.
- "So, what you're telling me is that Jeremiah Danvers, former D.E.O. agent and Alex and Kara's long-lost father has returned from Cadmus custody with news that our enemy has developed a nuclear fusion explosive using Kara's and Maddie's other-worldly heat vision radiation, and that they're going to drop that on National City and just kill us all?" He asked. "Ha!" He, nervously, laughed. "Is... Is this... Is this place bomb-proof?"
- "There's a bomb shelter underneath." GreatGirl winked.
- "Oh, thank God." The Schott man sighed.
- "You could run a trace on Kara's and Maddie's heat visions radiation signatures." Jeremiah said.
- "Right, yeah well, if the bomb is armed, then yes, I might be able to pinpoint its location before it goes off." The tech guy typed on his computer.
- "Good, get to work, Winn." J'onn ordered.
- "Jeremiah!" Eliza walked in.
- "Eliza." The father smiled and ran to his wife.
- "Oh, my God." The mother whispered, before hugging him.
- "My God, did I miss you?" The Danvers man said.
The eldest Danvers woman pulled back to look at his face, in disbelief.
Their daughters looked at them, in awe.
This is so sweet. The Matthews girl smiled softly.
- "Hey, Kara, can I talk to you for a second?" Mon-El whispered to his girlfriend.
- "Yeah." Supergirl replied. "What's up?"
They both walked away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, Mon-El led his girlfriend to an empty space in the D.E.O.'s hallways.
- "Look, I know you're happy he's back." He started.
- "Are you not?" Supergirl frowned.
- "I..." The Matthews man sighed.
- "He saved us and Maddie." The Danvers woman replied.
- "Yes. Exactly. I was there and I... I watched you and Rox solar flare, and it didn't look like they were trying to, you know, capture your heat-visions. It looked like they just wanted you to blow your powers out." The Daxamite explained.
- "Mon-El. You are not a scientist. And you don't know how that Cadmus device worked, but Jeremiah does. Why is it so hard for you to trust him?" The Kryptonian asked.
- "Why is it so easy for you?" Mon-El questioned.
- "Because he's always protected me, at great cost." Supergirl said.
- "He also lived with your enemy for years. They... They forced him to keep Henshaw alive." The Matthews man continued. "What makes you think that they're not forcing Jeremiah to do something now?"
- "I know you're just trying to look out for us. For me." The Danvers woman started.
- "Mmm-hmm." The Daxamite nodded.
- "But he needs us right now. Please." The Kryptonian said.
- "Okay. Okay. Okay." Mon-El replied.
- "Thank you." Supergirl put her hands on his arms. "We're having a family dinner to celebrate his return."
- "Yeah?" The Matthews man asked.
- "Just come over and get to know him. Spend time with him, and you will see that there's nothing to be afraid of. At all." The Danvers woman said. "Jeremiah's return isn't an 'accidental gift'. It's just a gift. And we should be happy about it."
The Daxamite nodded.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, that evening, Mon-El knocked on his girlfriend's door.
- "Hi!" Kara smiled as she opened.
- "Hi." The Matthews man smiled widely and walked in. "How are you?" He kissed her. "Was I supposed to wear a tie?" He whispered.
- "No." The younger Danvers sister replied.
- "Dr. Danvers!" The Daxamite looked at the mother. "And Dr. Danvers!" He turned to the father, who was holding a knife. "That's a knife. Don't shake your knife." He chuckled as he walked to Alex and Maggie with his girlfriend.
- "Hello, sweet boy." Eliza smiled.
The four younger adults started to laugh together as the parents talked in the kitchen while making margaritas.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the four were still talking and laughing in the living room.
- "Kids! Drinks are ready!" Jeremiah called out.
- "I'm ready!" Alex said.
The four youngest walked to the kitchen.
- "Here we go." The father started to serve everyone with one hand.
- "Let me help." Kara took the carafe and poured the drinks herself.
- "Ah, thank you." The Danvers man said.
- "Sorry, I'm late." J'onn walked in.
- "Oh, don't be silly, J'onn." Eliza smiled.
- "Oh, hey! I forgot to do something earlier." Jeremiah hugged his friend. "Oh! Thank you. Thank you for saving my life again. Thank you for keeping your promise to watch over my girls."
- "It was an honor." The J'onzz man replied.
- "A toast." The younger Danvers sister raised her glass. "To coming home."
- "Coming home." They, all, simultaneously, replied as they raised their glasses.
- "Now, obviously, this is going to be a time of adjustment." The father said. "But I hope you'll all be patient with me. I've seen and done things that I wish I hadn't."
- "Dad, don't." The older Danvers sister shook her head.
- "No, sweetie. If I'm going to move forward, I can't ignore my past." The Danvers man replied. "Cadmus... Changed me, they tried to break me. But in the process, they made me dangerous. I know their weaknesses, and I'm here... To work with all of you to make our planet safer. So, if you'll have me, Director, I'd like to return to the D.E.O. Formally."
- "J'onn? Can he?" The Kryptonian asked.
- "Pending a full psych evaluation and a field readiness exam. We'll give you the tour tomorrow." The green Martian nodded.
- "Thank you, friend." Jeremiah nodded his shoulder. "Alright."
Mon-El frowned and leaned to his girlfriend's ear.
- "I was in the D.E.O. for over a month before I can pee alone, and he just walks right back in?" He questioned, in a whisper.
- "Say something nice to him." Kara ordered. "Now."
- "I just wish you were coming back at a time of peace, sir." The Matthews man said.
- "We all do." The younger Danvers sister added.
- "What a lucky thing that you have returned when you did." The Daxamite continued.
- "You mean when he was rescued, right, Mon-El?" The right hand asked.
- "Um... I mean, that it is very fortunate that Dr. Danvers has returned just as a fusion bomb has become a threat. A fusion bomb that only he's mentioned and no one else has seen. I mean, what a gift." Mon-El, sarcastically, said.
- "What did you just say to my father?" Alex glared at him.
- "And now he's just gonna go right back to the D.E.O." The Matthews man continued. "With full access, I'm guessing, right, J'onn? No background checks for your old soldier buddy."
- "You need to..." The older Danvers sister, menacingly, walked to him. "Back up."
- "I got it." The Kryptonian started to pull her boyfriend away.
- "Why don't you just let him right back in?" The Daxamite continued as he was led away. "What? Why are you pushing me?" He whispered as he entered her room. "So, we're just gonna give him free rein? Why is... Why is no one questioning this? Is that not crazy?"
- "If your father walked through that door right now, after all these years that you thought he was dead, what would you do?" Kara asked.
- "I would run." Mon-El replied.
- "Run?" The younger Danvers sister scoffed.
- "Because he was not a good man." The Matthews man chuckled. "So..."
- "You know what? I'm sorry about that. But this is not about you and your suspicion, and your disrespect, are out of line. And you need to leave my home." The Kryptonian said.
- "Kara..." Mon-El started.
- "No." Kara replied.
- "That's the..." The Matthews man tried.
- "No, no!" The younger Danvers sister shook her head. "You've ignored what I need from moment one today. I asked for privacy and time, and you ignored that. And I asked you to give Jeremiah the benefit of the doubt, and you ignored that too. So I don't..." She shrugged.
- "Okay, okay, hey!" The Daxamite put his hands on her arms. "I'm sorry. That is two strikes on me, okay, but let's just... Let's let it go."
The Kryptonian laughed, irritated.
- "I am not baseball. And unless you learn that what I say counts, this isn't going to work." She said.
The father walked in.
- "Why don't I show you out?" He asked.
- "I think that's a really good idea." Kara crossed her arms.
- "Okay, I was heading out, anyway." Mon-El walked out, followed by the Danvers man. "Sir, as a scientist, you have to believe in questioning. That's all I was trying to do in there. I'm sorry if I hurt you..."
- "I don't care. Leave Kara alone." Jeremiah replied.
- "But, I..." The Matthews man started.
- "I don't care. You are not good for her." The father said, before walking back inside.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Mon-El walked into his apartment.
- "Aren't you supposed to be with Kara and her family?" Maddie frowned from the couch.
- "I was, but then I questioned her father's return, and she kicked me out." The Matthews man sighed and took a pillow to put it on her thighs, before laying on it.
Marie jumped on him and laid on his stomach.
- "You just questioned it in front of everyone?" The Matthews girl slapped her forehead.
- "Yeah." The Daxamite sighed as he petted the cat. "It doesn't feel right and nobody believes me. I'm not crazy. Jeremiah's return isn't luck."
- "I agree." The quadbrid nodded.
- "You do? You believe me?" Mon-El asked, surprised.
- "Yes." Maddie frowned. "It was way too easy. And you're my brother. I'll always stand by your side, even when I want to slap you."
The Matthews man chuckled and sat down as he pulled Marie onto his lap.
- "Thank you." He hugged his sister.
- "You're welcome." The Matthews girl smiled into his arms. "Let's talk to Winn. He might believe you."

Saturday, 18th February 2017
The next morning, the Matthews siblings were at the alien bar, waiting for their friend.
- "Hey." Winn said.
- "For you." Mon-El put a beer in front of him.
- "Ooh!" The Schott man exclaimed.
- "Perfect timing. Thanks for coming." The Matthews man continued.
- "Always happy to grab a drink, but you two do realize we're like kind of in all-hands-on-deck situation right now?" The tech guy asked. "You know, trying to track down that fusion b-o-m-b."
- "Very discrete." Maddie, sarcastically, said.
- "Yeah. And speaking of... What's so top secret that you can't talk to me at the D.E.O.?" Winn questioned.
- "Um..." The Daxamite started.
- "It's Jeremiah's return." The Matthews girl continued.
- "What if... What if Cadmus allowed us to 'rescue' Jeremiah so he could sabotage us?" Mon-El asked. "Just when this, this doomsday bomb is about to be detonated. I mean, think about it."
- "Okay. You know what, I knew Maddie shouldn't let you watch Netflix. Because watching that much 24 at once is not healthy, I told you." The Schott man said.
- "I... I... I'm not being paranoid here, Winn. I'm not." The Matthews man shook his head.
- "When is the last time we were this lucky?" The quadbrid questioned. "Lucky enough that Cadmus was moving their most valuable prisoner, a guy that the D.E.O. has been unable to find for over 15 years?"
- "Yeah. And he just lands in our lap?" The Daxamite continued.
- "So, you think Jeremiah is..." The tech guy started.
- "It's just... He is somebody that we need to keep our guard up around." Mon-El said. "At least until we know exactly what he has been doing for the past 15 years."
- "I couldn't read his mind when we met, so he could be hiding so many things." Maddie added.
- "Yeah. Okay. I'll help you two." Winn nodded.
- "Are you... Really?" The Matthews man raised his eyebrows.
- "You're sure?" The Matthews girl asked.
The Schott man nodded.
- "Hey, thank you." The Daxamite put his hand on his friend's shoulder.
- "Thank you, Winn." The quadbrid smiled softly.
- "Yeah, yeah." The tech guy replied.
- "You're a good friend." Mon-El added.
- "I know." Winn scoffed, making the siblings chuckle. "You... You two realize now that you... That you two owe me a favor in return."
- "Anything." The siblings, simultaneously, replied.
- "Just be good to her. And don't give up on him." The Schott man said.
- "I will." The Matthews man nodded.
- "I won't." Maddie shook her head.
- "Hey." A 5'5 alien with blonde hair and blue eyes walked up behind the tech guy and put her hands on his shoulders.
The siblings looked at each other, surprised, that their friend had a girlfriend but did not tell anyone.
The Matthews girl could not read her mind.
- "I didn't think we were meeting until a little later." The older woman caressed his face.
- "Hey you." Winn smiled. "Yeah, I'm just catching up with my friends, Mon-El and Maddie."
- "Mmm-hmm?" The blonde continued.
- "Hmm." The Schott man chuckled.
- "Pleasure to meet you." The Daxamite said.
- "Yes, nice to meet you." The quadbrid added.
The older woman, quickly, looked at them.
- "And you." She turned back to her boyfriend.
- "Wow." Maddie mouthed to her brother, who nodded.
- "I'll see you tonight." The blonde whispered against her boyfriend's lips.
- "Okay." The tech guy replied.
The older woman, gently, kissed the tip of his nose.
They, both, giggled, before she walked away.
- "You be good to her." Mon-El raised his glass.
Winn chuckled and clang his glass against his friend's.
- "I can't believe you didn't tell anyone." The Matthews girl snickered.
- "I'm mysterious." The Schott man smirked.
The siblings rolled their eyes, amused.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Kara walked into a room of the D.E.O.
- "Winn, you wanted to see me?" She asked.
- "Yes. Give me..." Winn started. "Just..."
The siblings, who were hiding behind the door, closed it.
- "If this is what I think it is..." The Danvers woman started to walk away.
- "No. Nope." Maddie blocked her.
- "Turn around. 180." Mon-El turned her around. "Back to there. Listen, Winn found something, and we think you should know about it."
- "Listen, Kara, please." The Matthews girl said.
- "Okay." The Kryptonian crossed her arms, annoyed.
- "Okay. So, earlier today, J'onn's giving Jeremiah a tour of the facility. Right." The Schott man explained. "So, when J'onn stepped away, I... I saw Jeremiah trying to break into the D.E.O. mainframe..."
- "Wait, wait." Kara frowned. "Stop for a second. Were you spying on Jeremiah?"
- "Kara..." The Matthews man started.
- "Did you put him up to this?" The Danvers woman asked. "You're in this too?" She looked at her protégée.
- "I am." The quadbrid nodded.
- "You are not listening." The Daxamite said, louder. "Winn found something."
- "A 'big' something." The tech guy corrected.
- "What?" The Kryptonian questioned.
- "He actually broke in to the D.E.O. system." Winn replied.
- "Too loud." Mon-El whispered.
- "I'm sorry." The Schott man murmured.
- "I put a soundproof shield, don't worry." Maddie added.
- "Good. But it sure as hell looks like Jeremiah is spying on US." The tech guy continued.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the four walked into the center of the D.E.O.
- "Hey, Jeremiah." Kara called out. "Can we talk for a minute?"
- "Sure." Jeremiah nodded. "What's up?"
- "Is everything okay?" Alex walked up to them.
- "Um... Earlier today, you accessed some highly classified files from the D.E.O. mainframe." The younger Danvers sister said.
- "That's true. I did." The father replied.
- "Why?" The older Danvers sister asked.
- "I tried to use my old passkey to look at some case files. But the access codes have changed, so I did a workaround to get inside." The Danvers man continued.
- "What were you looking at?" J'onn frowned.
- "Case files from the last 24 months. I wanted to see what my daughters had been up to. The crises you faced. The people you saved. The adventures you've been on." Jeremiah explained. "I've been away so long... Case histories are just a way for me to feel like I was there. A little. I'm sorry."
Mia? Maddie turned to her best friend, who was hiding behind an invisible shield, so only she could see her.
He's hiding something. It was a half lie. Mia thought.
I knew it. The Matthews girl pressed her lips together.
- "Winn?" The J'onzz man asked.
Winn looked at his tablet.
- "Uh... Your... Yeah... Yeah... He's... He's telling the truth. I mean, looks like it's just a bunch of old case files." He said.
- "Oh, Dad." The right hand led her father away. "Um... You three are unbelievable." She looked at her friends. "But you, you're something else." She glared at her sister.
The green Martian walked away, annoyed at the four of them.
- "Mia said that he's hiding something." The quadbrid said as she took off the shield.
- "He was lying." The Krillin woman added.
- "Dang it." The Kryptonian sighed.
- "I'm sorry, Kara." Mon-El frowned.
Kara walked away, sadly.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Mon-El walked into the alien bar.
- "Ooh, hey." Winn chuckled as his girlfriend smacked his ass.
- "Hi, Winn's friend." She said, before walking away.
- "That was impressive." The Matthews man said.
- "Oooh! Thank you." The Schott man smiled as he played darts. "The last time I tried to play darts I..." He turned to the alien, sitting further away. "I... I stabbed fish-head dude." He whispered. "I mean, he was nice about it, but..."
- "Yeah. Kevin's awesome." The Daxamite said, sadly. "No, I was, uh, talking about your little partner display just then. I'm..."
- "Yeah. You're a terrible partner." The tech guy nodded.
- "Terrible." Mon-El repeated.
- "Yeah." Winn said, softly.
- "I cannot be terrible, for the... The record." The Matthews man replied.
The Schott man chuckled.
- "Look, dude, just don't try so hard. Kara's a badass." He continued. "She doesn't need a protector, or... Or someone to show her off. The girl does that all by herself."
- "So, what's left for me?" The Daxamite asked.
- "Maybe, ask her." The tech guy said. "Just listen to her. She's the one you're dating." His phone dang. "Yo, hold up. Okay."
- "What?" Mon-El frowned.
- "Remember that time I was good at literally everything?" Winn asked.
- "No." The Matthews man said.
The Schott man took the darts out.
- "Well, it paid off! We tracked Supergirl's and GreatGirl's radiation signatures. Cadmus is moving the fusion bomb." He explained.

Later, that evening, the agents of the D.E.O. were outside a hangar.
- "Alright. I'm in position." Alex said. "Dad, you there?"
- "Right here, Alex." Jeremiah replied in the earpiece.
- "Standing by for your instructions once we get inside." The older Danvers sister added.
- "Be careful. Anything happens to that bomb before you disarm it, the whole city could go." The father continued.
Uh-uh. GreatGirl rolled her eyes.
- "Nothing's gonna happen." The right hand said.
The two super heroines looked at each other.
- "Let's stop them once and for all, girls." The Danvers man told his daughters.
- "Ready when you are, J'onn." Supergirl added.
The two heroes put themselves in front of the door.
- "On my mark. Three. Two. One. Engage!" J'onn ordered.
The heroines used their heat vision to make the door explode.
They all walked in.
- "Clear!" An agent said.
- "Clear!" Another agent yelled.
The entire hangar was empty.
- "What the hell?" Mon-El frowned.
- "Something's not right." The younger Danvers sister said.
- "It's a trap." The Matthews girl whispered to the couple.
- "J'onn, please advise." Alex told her boss. "There's no sign of target. I repeat, there's no sign of target. There's nothing here." No one answered. "J'onn? Dad?"
- "We have to get back. Now!" The quadbrid ordered. "Let's move!"
She ran out with all the agents.

A couple of minutes later, when they all arrived, they learned that J'onn and Winn were in the infirmary.
- "Is he okay?" Alex asked about her unconscious boss.
- "Yeah, yeah, he will be." The Schott man replied. "Look, Jeremiah got the jump on him."
Of course, he did. GreatGirl scoffed.
- "He couldn't have." The older Danvers woman frowned. "Hey, look, even if my dad has turned, there is no way he could have overpowered J'onn."
- "Yeah. That's what I would have thought." The J'onzz man woke up.
- "Oh, thank God you're okay." Supergirl sighed, in relief.
- "How are you feeling?" The Matthews girl asked.
- "I'll be fine." The green Martian replied. "Jeremiah's arm, the one we thought had nerve damage, it's been enhanced. Cybernetically."
- "Like Hank Henshaw?" The younger Danvers woman frowned.
- "Jeremiah isn't who he was." J'onn said. "I'm sorry."
- "Not as sorry as Cadmus is gonna be." The right hand replied.
- "We'll find him." The Kryptonian added.
- "How?" Mon-El asked.
- "Winn." The quadbrid raised her eyebrows at him.
- "Oh, okay. Um... Okay. Don't be mad." The tech guy looked at Alex. "But, I may have hid a tracker on Jeremiah."

A few minutes later, the trio of women arrived where Jeremiah was with Lillian and Hank.
- "It's over." Supergirl said.
- "Not yet." The Luthor woman replied. "But it will be, soon."
- "Dad, you're coming with us." Alex looked at her father.
- "That's unlikely, dear." The scientist smirked.
- "Why is that?" GreatGirl frowned.
- "Ka-boom." The Henshaw man said.
The two flying heroines looked behind them with their telescopic and X-Ray visions.
They saw a wooden bridge explode and a train coming right on it.
- "No!" The younger Danvers woman yelled. "Train."
- "Go." The older Danvers woman nodded.
The two heroines flew away.
They, each, grabbed a side of the rail and held them where they were supposed to be.
They held them on their shoulders as the train passed on them.
The two heroines sighed, after the pressure on their shoulders was relieved.
- "I'm sick of trains." The Matthews girl chuckled.
The Kryptonian snickered.

A few minutes later, the three women arrived at the D.E.O.
- "Hey, hey, hey." Winn rushed to them. "Any luck?"
Would we make those faces and come back empty-handed if we did? GreatGirl frowned.
- "We lost." Supergirl said.
- "I'm sorry, guys." The Schott man replied.
- "On your feet already?" The younger Danvers asked her boss.
- "No time to waste." J'onn walked up to them. "Any idea what he stole from us? What he gave to Cadmus?"
- "Not yet. Now, I have to go check down on the mainframe and then once we get the systems back online, I can run a diagnostic." The tech guy explained.
- "Quick as you can. I want to know what we're up against." The J'onzz man ordered.
- "Yes, sir." Winn walked away.
- "I'm gonna leave you, guys, talk." The Matthews girl walked backwards. "Goodnight." She teleported away.

Later, that night, Kara was curled up under a blanket on her couch, when someone knocked at her door.
- "It's unlocked." She said without lifting her head.
- "Hey. You okay?" Mon-El walked in.
- "No." The Danvers woman sniffled.
- "No? Yeah." The Matthews man walked closer. "Hey, today was a... A little... I just want to..."
The Kryptonian looked up at him, tears in her eyes.
The Daxamite sighed, sadly.
- "I'm not... I'm not gonna talk." He shook his head and sat on the other side of the couch. "Hmm. Why don't you... Why don't you tell me what you need? I'll listen."
- "Just be here with me." Kara said as she tried to hold back her tears.
- "Okay." Mon-El nodded. "Hey, come here." He lifted the blanket to put it over his legs. "Come here."
The Danvers woman sat up, before snuggling to his chest as she sniffled.
The Matthews man wrapped his arms around her as he held her tight.
- "Just... Just sit here?" He asked.
- "Yeah." The Kryptonian said.
- "Yeah?" The Daxamite nodded.
- "Yeah, just like this." Kara closed her eyes as she sniffled.
- "Do you need anything else?" Mon-El questioned, softly. "Or..."
- "To wake up with me." The Danvers woman opened her eyes.
A slight smile appeared on the Matthews man's face.
- "Hey." He said, softly, making her lift her head to look at him. He wiped her tears with his thumb. "I'd love to." He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
The Kryptonian nuzzled her face into his neck as the Daxamite hugged her, tightly.

A couple of seconds later, on the floor below, Maddie was on the carpet in her living room, playing a board game with the Krillin siblings.
- "I am winning! HA!" Xandar exclaimed.
- "How is it always one of you who's winning?" Mia sighed, dramatically.
- "We win every time because you always choose games you are terrible at." The Matthews girl replied.
- "Hey!" The Krillin woman grabbed a throw pillow and threw it at her face.
- "Oh really?" The quadbrid raised her eyebrows, before throwing at her a pillow.
The two women started to throw pillows at each other.
- "Stop, you're gonna make me lose!" The Krillin man put his arms above the board game to protect it.
The best friends smirked at each other and they both hit him with their pillows.
- "Oh really?" The Agotarian man got up. "That's how it is?" He grabbed another pillow.
The trio laughed as they started to hit each other.
Maddie's phone rang.
- "Wait, guys, it's Winn." She said, making the siblings stop. "Winn, did you figure out what Jeremiah stole from the D.E.O. computers?" She answered.
- "It's not good, Maddie." Winn gasped. "He took the national alien registry."
- "Okay, I'm coming in." The Matthews girl replied. "Don't call Kara and Alex, yet, let them rest."
- "J'onn said the same thing." The Schott man said.
- "Hey, what? What is it?" The Agotarian woman asked.
- "Cadmus has the list of all the aliens in the country." The quadbrid explained.
- "Well, what you're gonna do?" Xandar asked.
- "I get up, and I go fight." Maddie said.
- "Good luck." Mia added.
- "Thanks. Be careful out there, guys." The Matthews girl continued.
- "We will." The siblings nodded.
The quadbrid super speeded into her suit and flew out of the window.
