Over a month later, GreatGirl and Supergirl were flying around the city.
- "So, you think you're Supergirl and GreatGirl?" They heard a girl say. "If I shoved you, could you fly?" She and her three friends laughed. "You look so stupid."
- "No, I don't." The bullied frowned.
- "We don't look stupid, your face does." The second bullied replied.
- "Everybody thinks so. That's why you don't have any friends, and you have to stay between twins." The mean girl added.
- "I wouldn't say that." The Danvers woman landed behind them.
- "I actually think you two look pretty awesome." The Matthews girl landed next to her friend.
- "Thanks." The twins, simultaneously, replied.
The two aliens used their x-ray vision to find out the names of the twins.
- "Laura." The Kryptonian smiled.
- "Jessica." The quadbrid smiled at the second twin.
- "You know Supergirl?" The mean girl asked, in disbelief.
- "Yeah. We're friends with all the nice girls." Supergirl added.
- "See you later." GreatGirl patted the girls' shoulders.
The two aliens flew away.

Later, the two heroes were at CatCo watching Cat's interview, she was at a table surrounded by five women.
- "She's the founder and CEO of a media empire who was recently named number one on the National City Tribune's annual Power List." The host said. "Please welcome our next guest, Cat Grant!"
Everyone applauded.
- "Wow, you look so much younger than I thought you would!" One of the women added.
- "Mmm. So do you." The Grant Woman replied.
- "Cat, how does it feel to be the most powerful woman in National City?" One of the women asked.
- "Well, Sara, first of all, that's a total misnomer. Nobody is calling me the most powerful woman in National City. I believe they are calling me the most powerful person." The queen of media explained. "Having a platform like mine is only worthwhile if I can use it to bring attention to the people who are really making a difference."
- "Well, Cat, that brings us to our next question." Another woman said.
- "Supergirl and GreatGirl." Cat smiled softly.
- "You've been associated with Supergirl since she first emerged on the National City scene. And you've been building up GreatGirl's image more than the media who named her. And you've been a critic, you've been a cheerleader, and some say that you are a friend." The woman continued.
- "Well, I would like to think so." The Grant woman replied.
- "What are they like?" The woman asked.
- "Yeah." Another woman nodded.
- Supergirl is everything you think she is. She's strong, she's brave." The queen of media started. "And GreatGirl might be young, but she is just a brave, but her intelligence is really another level. But the most remarkable thing about Supergirl and GreatGirl is that they are the kindest people I have ever known. They are an idea; they're inspiring us to be our best selves." She said. "Now, we can learn a lot from them. You can learn a lot from them. I have learned a lot from them. And I'm still learning." She walked up behind the two heroes. "Enraptured, are we?"
- "Oh, Ms. Grant." Kara said.
- "Good morning, Ms. Grant." Maddie smiled softly.
- "I was really fabulous. God knows I hate a generic sports metaphor, but that interview was a touchdown. A home run. Whatever you call it when you do something good in hockey." Cat explained. "Where is my computer droid?"
- "Winn? He's, um... I will find him." The Danvers woman replied.
- "I'll help you." The Matthews girl added.
The two walked away.
- "I really need to rethink this necklace." The Grant woman looked at the TV.
- "Winn?" The Kryptonian started.
- "Winn!" The quadbrid yelled.
The two heard a thud; they turned around to a storage closet.
- "Winn, are you in..." Kara tried to open the door, but it was locked.
Maddie lowered her glasses to use her X-ray vision and frowned. Ew, again?!
The Danvers girl lowered her glasses to use her X-Ray vision as well.
- No! No! No, no, no, no, no!" She yelled as she closed her eyes and walked away from the door.
- "Welcome in my life." The Matthews girl patted her shoulder. "That's what I see when I read people's mind."
- "I am so sorry." The Kryptonian girl said.
The storage closet opened and Siobhan and Winn arranged their clothes.
- "Guess that's my exit." She walked away.
- "You two didn't just now use the..." The Schott man asked, and the two heroes turned around to face him. "Oh, God, you did. You did."
- "I can't believe I saw you having sex again. Like your mind wasn't enough." The quadbrid sighed.
- "I'm never using supplies from that closet ever again without surgical gloves." Kara replied.
- "Okay, okay." The tech guy frowned. "Look, I'm, I'm... I'm sorry, I did not mean for any of this to happen. It's just kind of happening." He chuckled. "And, like, I know it seems wrong, I mean, it definitely, it feels wrong, except for, like, when it's happening, and then it's like really right..."
- "Ew." Maddie frowned.
- "Okay, okay." The Danvers woman walked away with the youngest, as he followed them with fixing his clothes. "You don't have to explain anything, Winn. You're both two consenting adults. You should do what makes you happy."
- "Ker-rah! Ker-rah!" The queen of media shouted. "If I have to say your name a third time, you will have to find another job."
- "Duty calls." The Kryptonian said. "You... You missed a button." She walked away.
- "And your fly is open." The Matthews girl rolled her eyes. "Fly is the first thing, you're supposed to do. Idiot." She whispered to herself.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, Maddie was answering calls.
- "Hello, this is CatCo." She said. "How may I help you?"
Mia walked towards her and hung up the phone.
- "I was on with someone." The Matthews girl frowned.
- "Doesn't matter." The Krillin woman shook her head. "Michael asked on a date."
- "Oh." The quadbrid smiled. "And you couldn't let me finish my call?"
- "No, this is far more important than someone who wants to know where each level is." The Agotarian rolled her eyes.
- "You're impossible." Maddie snickered. "So?"
- "Well, I said 'yes'." Mia chuckled.
- "And?" The Matthews girl raised her eyebrows.
- "We are going out Friday." The Krillin woman grinned.
- "Nice. Where are you guys going?" The quadbrid asked.
- "I don't know yet." The Agotarian shrugged.
- "I'm happy for you." Maddie smiled as her phone dang. "It's Alex."
- "Go." Mia nodded.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of minutes later, the two heroes were walking in the D.E.O.
- "She broke up with him?" Alex asked.
- "Kaput." Supergirl nodded.
- "Ugh, I always knew that relationship was going to go busto." The older Danvers said.
- "Me too. It was so obvious that they weren't meant to be." GreatGirl added.
- "I feel guilty." The younger Danvers replied.
- "Did he say you were the reason?" The right hand questioned.
- "He said the opposite." The Kryptonian said.
- "That's good." The Matthews girl nodded.
- "Very good." Alex replied. "Guilt isn't what you should be feeling. Try hope."
- "I don't want to be the rebound girl, Alex." Supergirl said.
- "It's not rebound if he liked you, before he got back with her." The quadbrid smiled.
- "Yes, listen to the telepath." The older Danvers nodded. "She knows better than anyone. And he likes you, you like him, okay? Rebound relationships, they can work."
- "Name one." The younger Danvers said.
- "Kim and Kanye." The right hand replied.
- "I'm embarrassed you even know that." The Kryptonian's eyes widened.
- "Me too." GreatGirl nodded.
- "Look, okay, stop." Alex said. "You need to embrace what you're feeling. And be the 'let-him-know-girl' before another Lucy Lane swoops in and tells him first."
- "Listen to her." The Matthews girl nodded.
- "Okay." Supergirl replied. The three walked towards their boss and the senator. "Senator Crane, it's good to see you again."
- "Hello, madam." The quadbrid smiled.
- "Good to see you two." The Crane woman said.
- "The Senator came by to tell us that she's been working with the Budget Committee to get the D.E.O. more money, more resources to fight Non." J'onn explained.
- "A lot more." The senator added.
- "That's great." The older Danvers said. "We can use it."
- "I also came by because I wanted to personally thank Director Henshaw for the amazing work he's been doing to keep our nation, this planet, safe." The Crane woman smiled at him.
- "Well, it's not just me, it's my team." The J'onzz man replied.
- "Well, it starts at the top." The senator continued. "This agency deals with the unknown and is often forced to make up the rules as it goes. You don't have the same oversight as other branches of the military. It's important to me that there's someone I know and trust making sure justice is meted out in a way that's consistent with our ideals. And I'm glad that person is you."
GreatGirl smirked.
- "Wow." The younger Danvers mouthed to her sister and friend.
- "Ma'ams, there's fire downtown." Agent Vasquez said. "A fireman's trapped on the roof."
- "Punch it up." The director replied.
- "Supergirl, GreatGirl, can you get there in time?" The Crane woman turned around, but they were already gone.
- "Yeah, they can." The right hand smiled.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, the two heroes arrived at the site. A firefighter was stuck under a part of the structure, and another was holding to the roof as he fell through it.
- "Supergirl, GreatGirl, over here!" The captain yelled. "My men have the fire!"
- "Okay. I got ya." Supergirl lifted the structure off the man. "You're going to be okay."
GreatGirl flew above the firefighter to not damage the roof around him.
- "Be careful." She said as she lowered herself to grab him. She flew above the hole and put him down gently next to his captain.
- "Thank you." The captain nodded.
The two heroes smiled softly and started to walk away as they started to feel dizzy.
- "Are you okay, GreatGirl?" Xandar walked up to them.
- "Yeah, I'm fine. Supergirl?" The Matthews girl turned to her.
- "I'm fine." The Danvers girl nodded.
Bright red like veins appeared on their faces, before they flew away.
The Krillin man frowned, in worry.
- "What the hell was that?" He whispered to himself.

Thursday, 21st April 2016
The next morning, Maddie had woken up at the D.E.O., like every day.
She rolled her eyes at every person who tried to talk to her, before she went to CatCo.
She sat at her desk, when Mia walked up to her.
- "Good..." She started.
- "Could you not? I'm not in the mood to listen to your stories." The Matthews girl said, without looking at her.
- "What's up with you?" The Krillin woman frowned. "Why are you feeling so mad?"
- "I have a job to do, unlike you, some of us actually work." The quadbrid replied.
The Agotarian scoffed.
- "Okay, I don't know if you walked on thousands of Lego when you woke up this morning to act like a bitch, but have a good day, Maddie." She walked away.
Maddie smiled and waved goodbye as Mia sat to her desk in front of her, frowning.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, after their work at CatCo, the heroes were sitting in the D.E.O., listening to J'onn briefing them and his human agents for a mission.
- "Two armored vehicles have been attacked in the last six hours. Both carrying hundreds of thousands worth in gold." He explained. "Now, these two have goons managed to take out a number of highly trained and heavily armed security personnel."
- "Alien weapons?" Alex asked.
- "Almost. An alien is their weapon." The J'onzz man put a picture of the alien on the monitor. "A K'hund. Stronger than your average Fort Rozz escapee. Now, we've obtained intel on their next heist, but we have to move fast. Lucky for us, we have two aliens of our own." He gestured to them.
The two heroes were sitting at the table further away, with their feet propped on it.
- "Hmm?" Supergirl frowned.
GreatGirl rolled her eyes.
- "I'm sorry, Supergirl, GreatGirl, am I boring you?" The director asked.
- "Only boring people get bored." The Danvers woman replied. "Sorry. I thought you were talking to some other alien agent at the D.E.O."
- "Yes, there is only us." The Matthews girl said.
- "Alright. Let's move, let's move." J'onn ordered. "Do I need to brief you again, or have you got all that?"
- "Kick. Alien. Ass." The Kryptonian got up.
- "Like taking dynamite from a baby." The quadbrid added.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, two squads of the D.E.O. surrounded the K'hund.
- "Don't move!" Alex yelled. He super jumped two blocks away. "Supergirl, GreatGirl, you're up."
The two heroes flew on him, knocking him to the ground. He got up and glared at them.
- "Your mother..." The K'hund started.
- "Sentenced you to Fort Rozz, blah, blah, ruined your life, I've heard the story." Supergirl continued.
- "They always have the same story. You were a criminal, you got punished." GreatGirl shed a few fake tears, before wiping them. "Stop whining about it and get over it."
- "You wanna fight about it?" The Danvers girl asked.
The man launched at them and tried to punch them, but they dodged.
The Kryptonian punched him.
The K'hund tried to punch the Matthews girl, but she dodged and punched him hard, making him took a few steps backwards.
- "Is that it?" Supergirl laughed.
- "You're pathetic." The quadbrid scoffed.
The man tried to punch them, but they dodged, and he hit cinder blocks instead as they both grinned behind him.
The Danvers woman pushed him.
The K'hund turned around and swung at them, several times, but they dodged.
GreatGirl grabbed his fist and twisted it, making his bones crack as she smirked.
The man tried to punch her, but the Kryptonian pushed him against the containers behind him.
He fell to the ground.
Supergirl put her foot on his throat, pushing slightly.
- "We have defeated White Martians, Coluans and Kryptonians." She started.
- "I have defeated powerhouse bionic humans, bionic army, androids, and mutant human." The Matthews girl added. "You..."
- "You're not even worth looking at." The Danvers woman continued. "Get out of our sights." She took her foot off him as he gasped.
- "Before she changes my mind. Or I change my mind." The quadbrid made her eyes turn red.
The K'hund got up and ran away.
One of the cars of the D.E.O. parked in the alley where they were.
- "Where did he go?" Alex asked. "Are you hurt?"
- "No. No, I'm fine." The Kryptonian said.
- "We both are." GreatGirl added. "He got away."
The two heroes walked away as the older Danvers frowned.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the three went back to the D.E.O.
- "Director Henshaw, Senator Crane is in your office. She said you were going to update her on what happened with the K'hund." Agent Vasquez explained.
- "Well, that sounds fun." Supergirl deadpanned.
- "I would say more like a blast." GreatGirl rolled her eyes.
- "Tell her I'll be there in a minute." J'onn said. The agent nodded and walked away. "Can I speak with you two here for a second?" The four walked into the armory. "I know you just started working here again, and that you are sixteen, but to be clear, our job here at the D.E.O. is to catch the aliens, not let them escape."
- "How 'bout you get off my back for once, Hank?" The younger Danvers asked.
- "You're the one who hired me." The Matthews girl scoffed.
- "Supergirl." The older Danvers said.
- "I thought we were in a good place here." The J'onzz man frowned.
- "We're in a good place, when I do what I'm told." The Kryptonian replied. "When I don't, you come down on me. I am tired of it! You want to catch the K'hund, go try it yourself! You're just as strong as me and Maddie, if you wanted to be."
- "You know how dangerous that is for him." The right hand said.
- "Like it's not for us?" The quadbrid scoffed.
- "Every Kryptonian on this planet wants to kill us, expect my cousin. We have to live with that. And he could, too!" Supergirl yelled. "What are you so afraid of? You talk about honoring your people, and yet you refuse to be one of them. I got to go. I have work in the morning. Another job that underappreciates me." She walked away.
- "If you're not happy, then fire me. You only met me three months ago, it will be easy." GreatGirl replied. "It's not like a matter to you anyway. I'm just one more person to help." She walked away.
She passed in front of a wall and hit it, making a hole in it.

Friday, 22nd April 2016
The next morning, Maddie was in the break room, when her friend walked in, closing the door behind herself.
- "What do you want?" She asked.
- "Okay, so you are still in a bad mood." Mia said. "Is there a Davenport's birthday this week?"
- "No." The Matthews girl scoffed. "Not everything revolves around them."
- "Your world does." The Krillin woman crossed her arms.
- "I already sacrificed everything for them. The Krees found us and my mom, because I used my powers. She's dead because of them. Because I sacrificed my perfect, normal life to make sure they don't kill themselves in missions they weren't ready for." The quadbrid replied. "I'm not sacrificing any more minutes of my life on them."
- "They are your family." The Agotarian frowned.
- "A family that used me to get to one place to another? A family that just wanted my protection? A family that still hasn't found me even though, they have the brains?" Maddie asked. "They are not my family. I don't have one."
- "Maddie, you can't say that." Mia put her hand on her shoulder.
- "Yes, I can." The Matthews girl pushed her hand away. "And I never used my brain fully to let Chase be the smartest, and I never used my powers to the maximum to not hurt them. Here, I discovered many new powers because they were just holding me back. And I finally realized, I am more powerful than them."
- "Okay, you need an intervention. I'm cancelling my date, and we are going out tonight." The Krillin woman smiled softly.
- "Fine." The quadbrid sighed.
- "Good." The Agotarian nodded and walked away.
- "Pathetic." Maddie scoffed.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, at the D.E.O., Alex walked in with two agents and the K'hund.
- "I see you had better luck than Supergirl and GreatGirl." J'onn said.
- "I've dealt with worse." The Danvers woman replied.
- "Do not inflate your own worth, human!" The criminal yelled. "Supergirl and GreatGirl didn't even try to apprehend me."
- "What are you talking about? They said you fought and you got away." The J'onzz man frowned.
- "They are liars. They said they didn't want to waste their time with me." The K'hund replied.
- "Get him out of my face!" The right hand ordered.
The two agents dragged him away as he grunted.
- "Do you believe him?" The director asked.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, Maddie was sitting at her desk, hanging up on people who were annoying her, when Kara walked up to her.
- "Cat is gonna fire Siobhan. I thought you might want to hear that." She smirked.
- "I'm so glad, you took me under your wing." The Matthews girl smirked as she got up.
The two heroes walked up to the Danvers woman's desk to listen with their super hearing.
- "I know you see yourself as a plucky heroine who broke a story as big as Watergate and then gave it to my biggest competitor, and I know you think that once the Daily Planet runs the story that you will have a fancy job there, and I know that you believe in the end that I will admire your gumption for scooping me and I will beg you to come back." Cat explained.
- "Will you?" Siobhan asked, cocky.
- "No." The Grant woman replied. "I admire loyalty, integrity, and employees that I can trust. Not backstabbing, opportunistic little Imps. Clean out your desk. I'm sorry, was I using my inside voice? You are fired!" She yelled. "Now, before you go skipping all the way back to Metropolis, I will save you the bus fare. I had a much too long conversation with Perry White. And there is no job waiting for you there. Mmm. Now, be gone."
The Smythe woman walked out of her office, sadly.
The quadbrid thought. Good riddance.
- "Hey, are you okay?" Winn asked, but she walked past him.
- "Well, I guess that's your exit." The Kryptonian said. "Well, that was awkward. But not surprising, though. She was a bad seed, it was only a matter of time. I know what will lighten the mood, drinks And dancing." She held up five tickets. "Who's in?"
- "Oh, I am." Maddie nodded.
- "Here." Kara gave her two tickets. "Give one to your intern friend."
- "I will." The Matthews girl smiled. "Thank you, Kara."
- "You're welcome, Maddie." The Danvers woman smiled back.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later that night, the two young women were in front of the club.
- "Maddie, we are not twenty-one, we can't go in." Mia whispered.
She was wearing a red wine bust dress that stopped mid-thigh with a belt at the waist and matching heels.
- "It's gonna be fine." Maddie replied.
She was wearing a short pleated azure blue dress with spaghetti straps and a plunging neckline with two lines in the cleavage to hold the dress together.
- "ID." The young man at the entrance said.
- "You don't really need them, do you?" The Matthews girl smiled gently. The man frowned and looked up and down at her. "Come on." She touched his arm.
- "ID, please." The man gulped.
The quadbrid looked at his eyes. Let us in.
- "You can go." The man let them walk in.
- "Did you just control his mind?" The Krillin woman asked, in a whisper. "I thought you never wanted to use this power like me and Xandar?"
- "It was just once, relax." Maddie shrugged. "It's not biggie."
They walked up to the two men of the Super Friends squad.
- "Today's music is so loud! Right?" Winn asked his friend, who laughed. "Siobhan still has not texted me back. I hope she's okay."
- "She's fine." James said. "Just give her some time. Speaking of which, Kara said she was going to be here soon. Do you think she's still on her way?"
- "Oh, yeah." The Schott man replied. "Wow." He turned to see the two young women. "You really went all in."
- "How did you even get in?" The Olsen man frowned.
- "Just a little control." The Matthews girl shrugged. "I'm gonna order shots. Want some?"
- "No, thanks." The Agotarian shook her head.
- "Boring." The quadbrid walked to the bar.
- "I don't recognize her." Mia said.
- "Me neither." The tech guy frowned. "She and Kara have been acting so weird lately."
- "I know. She insulted the Davenports, she mind controlled people, that's not the Maddie I know." The Krillin woman explained.
- "We need to find out what happened to them." Winn said. "Oh, look. There Kara is. I see her. I think... I think that's her." Kara walked towards them, wearing a simple, tight black dress with a round neckline. "Hey! Wow. Hey, look at you. Wow!"
- "Yeah, that's what I was going for." The Danvers woman looked at her crush. "You want to dance?"
- "Uh, yeah, yeah." The photograph nodded. She, aggressively, grabbed his hand and led him to the dance floor. "Oh! Kara, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hey!"
- "I just, I just..." The Schott man frowned.
- "They abandoned us." The Agotarian snickered.
- "Yep." The tech guy nodded. "Where is Maddie?"
Mia looked around and saw her dancing closely with her guy.
- "Shit." She walked towards her. "Maddie, dance with me." She grabbed her friend's wrist.
- "Leave me alone." Maddie pulled her arm away; she turned to face the guy and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Go fuck Michael."
The Krillin woman frowned.
The guy put his hands on her hips as they swayed to the music, their hips grinding together. He leaned to kiss her, but the Agotarian grabbed her friend and pulled her away.
- "Hey!" The guy yelled.
- "I don't know what is wrong with you, but I'm not letting you flirt with a random guy." Mia said.
- "I can do whatever I want." The Matthews girl walked to the bar. "One shot of tequila." The bartender, whose mind she was controlling, gave her one shot. She, quickly, drank it. "That's good."
- "Maddie..." The Krillin woman started.
- "Oh, shut up." The quadbrid frowned. "Let me have fun, I don't want to think about them."
- "It's Cat." James walked towards the two women.
- "Oh, why don't you just tell her to get back in her litter box and leave us alone?" The Kryptonian followed him.
The Olsen man scoffed and answered his phone.
- "Ms. Grant." He said.
- "I need to talk to Supergirl and GreatGirl." Cat replied. "Press your silly watch or whatever it is and send them here now." She hung up.
- "Ms. Grant wants to see Supergirl and GreatGirl." The photograph turned around. "Where did she go?"
- "They left both of them." The Agotarian slapped her forehead.
- "What happened?" Winn asked.
- "Something's wrong with them." James said.
- "She left without paying." Mia added.
- "No, she left the note to me." The guy, she was dancing with earlier, walked up to them. "Your friend's a bitch."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, the two heroes arrived at the balcony of Cat's office.
- "Mmm." She smiled.
- "We are not at your disposition." GreatGirl scoffed.
- "What do you want?" Supergirl asked.
- "Well, I would like to know if Ashton Kutcher and his camera crew are hiding underneath your cape. Supergirl and GreatGirl would never release an evil alien caught in the act of armed robbery." The Grant woman replied. "So, I assume I'm being Punk'd."
- "I wouldn't assume anything from now on, Cat." The Danvers woman replied.
- "Did you just call me Cat?" The queen of media frowned.
- "You branded us in the media as a Girl Scout." The Matthews girl added.
- "'Supergirl is everything you think she is. She's strong, she's brave'." The Kryptonian continued.
- "'And GreatGirl might be young, but she is just a brave, but her intelligence is really another level. But the most remarkable thing about Supergirl and GreatGirl is that they are the kindest people I have ever known'." The quadbrid mocked.
- "Mmm-hmm?" Cat frowned.
- "Isn't that kind of stock characterization?" Supergirl asked. "Very two-dimensional."
- "Everyone knows real people have a dark side." GreatGirl said.
- "Yes, but you don't get to be a real people. You're superheroes. You get to represent all the goodness in the world." The Grant woman explained.
- "Yeah, well, I'm sick of it." The Danvers woman replied. "And you know what else I'm sick of? Enabling all of you in your victimhood. 'Oh, well, my building's burning down, la-di-dah'. Supergirl will just swoop in and save the day. Well, get used to the flames, people, 'cause I quit."
- "And GreatGirl will just protect everyone like she's been doing for years." The Matthews girl added. "Let's see how the world does without protection."
The faces of the two heroes showed bright red veins as they looked at the city.
- "Supergirl, GreatGirl." The queen of media said, making the two heroes turn to face her. "I fear that you're having some sort of mental breakdown. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, and I'm happy to take you to Dr. Shuman for emergency Lexapro, that is, if your alien brains will respond to the SSRls. But in the meantime, I would lay low. Those haughty attitudes are highly unsuitable."
- "Well, I learned it from the best. Cat Grant." The Kryptonian replied. Cat smiled. "You're the most arrogant, self-serving, mean-spirited person I know."
- "Now, you listen to me." The Grant woman said, firmly. "I made you and I fixed your image. And you are not going to let me down."
- "Or what?" The quadbrid asked.
- "Or what?" The queen of media repeated.
- "Wait, I forgot. You're the most powerful person in National City." GreatGirl said. "At least that's what they say on TV. But we are."
- "You want to see what powerful really looks like?" Supergirl walked closer to her face. "Watch." She grabbed her and threw her over the balcony.
Cat screamed as she was in a free fall. The two heroes smirked from the balcony.
- "Good job." The Matthews girl held her hand.
- "Thanks." The Danvers woman high-fived her.
- "Let's leave her fall until the last moment." The quadbrid smirked.
The Kryptonian nodded, smirking.
At the middle of her fall, the heroes flew to save her and put her safety on the ground.
- "True power, Cat, is deciding who will live and who will die." Supergirl said.
- "And don't ever call us again." GreatGirl added.
The two heroes flew away.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
Later, the three friends of the heroes walked into the D.E.O., escorted by two agents.
- "Director Henshaw, need to talk to you please." James said.
- "Who are you?" J'onn frowned.
- "I'm Mia Krillin, I'm an intern at CatCo, a student at the university of National City, and I'm an Agotarian." Mia explained. "I read minds, so I already know everything about you and the D.E.O."
- "You're an alien?" The two men frowned.
- "Yeah." The Krillin woman nodded. "I know how to keep secrets."
- "Hey, something bad has happened to Kara and Maddie." Winn added.
- "We know." Alex nodded. "They were acting strange. Distracted. We thought it was personal at first, but then she let an alien fugitive escape."
- "Pull up the missions Supergirl and GreatGirl have run in the last 48 hours." The J'onzz man ordered.
The Danvers woman typed on the computer.
- "The fire." She said.
- "My brother is one of the firefighters, who were assigned to this, and he told me that when Kara and Maddie left, their faces had bright red veins on it." The Agotarian explained.
- "Run a thermodynamic scan." The director replied.
As she did so, a red light was showing on the map.
- "Look at the radiation signature. That's Kryptonite." The right hand added.
- "Not exactly." J'onn frowned.
- "It's synthetic. It's man-made." The Schott man continued.
- "Well, it's close to the real thing, but whoever made it, didn't get it quite right." Alex said.
- "Meaning what?" The Olsen man asked.
- "It's not damaging them on a cellular level." The Danvers woman replied.
- "But it could explain the erratic behaviors." The J'onzz man continued.
- "Who the hell would make Kryptonite?" The photograph frowned.
- "Yeah, that's my bad." Maxwell walked into with two agents.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A couple of seconds later, they dragged Maxwell to a cell.
- "Come on. This isn't necessary. I came here to help." He said. "I didn't even know Kryptonite was a thing."
- "Until we showed you." Alex locked him in the cell.
- "And we took down Bizarro." J'onn added.
- "I went through all that trouble to create her, when all this time, right in front of me, was a substance whose sole molecular purpose was to kill Kryptonians." The Lord man replied. "Sort of ironic."
- "You're outta your mind." James frowned.
- "You are such an asshole." Mia said.
- "I'm only practical. Non and his army will return. Soon. So, I took matters into my own hands." The scientist explained.
- "You've recreated Kryptonite." The Danvers woman said.
- "Tried to." Maxwell corrected. "I just didn't get it right."
- "Shocking. You'd have to actually be smart to get it right." The Krillin woman scoffed.
- "The satellite on that rooftop was yours. You set a trap for Non." The J'onzz man replied.
- "The fire, that was an accident. I never meant to endanger any firefighters, any civilians. Not even Supergirl or GreatGirl." The Lord man defended.
- "So, you figured if you booby-trapped a satellite, then your Kryptonite would kill Non just in case he went to go check on it?" The Olsen man asked.
- "It didn't work exactly as planned." The scientist said.
- "It never does with you!" The right hand replied.
- "I didn't know Supergirl and GreatGirl would show up or that they'd be affected by the synthetic K in such a surprising..." Maxwell started.
- "You're right. You just thought it would kill Supergirl." Alex continued.
- "When I realized Supergirl and GreatGirl had been exposed, I started tracking them to see what the Red Kryptonite would do to them. I saw them let the alien escape. I didn't know what to think." The Lord man explained. "And then tonight, they threw Cat Grant off her building."
- "What?!" The Agotarian yelled.
- "They killed Ms. Grant?!" Winn asked.
- "No. Cat has nine lives. She's fine." The scientist replied.
- "But Supergirl and GreatGirl aren't." The Danvers woman said.
- "I'm sorry, Alex." Maxwell added. "I came in to make this right. I created Red Kryptonite. Maybe I can create an antidote."
The right hand sighed and opened his cell.
- "You better hope so, for National City's sake. Because you just turned Supergirl and GreatGirl into the monster you always feared they'd be." She explained, angrily.

The next night, Maddie was walking in the streets when Mia walked up to her.
- "Maddie!" She grabbed her wrist. "Hey, you were infected by Red Kryptonite."
- "Oh, I know." The Matthews girl smirked. "Remember other universe?" She started to walk away.
- "So, you know how dangerous it is." The Krillin woman walked by her side. "We need to get you to the D.E.O."
- "What if I don't want to?" The quadbrid asked.
- "Well, I'll make you go there." The Agotarian grabbed her wrist again. "Maddie..."
- "Fuck you." Maddie pulled her arm away. "You are hanging onto me like I'm a lost puppy. I may be younger, but I have more experiences than you. I can deal with myself."
Mia opened her mouth, but the Matthews girl had super speeded away.
- "Shit." She murmured.

Later, the two villains were sitting in a bar, wearing black clothes, as they listened to Cat's speech from this morning.
- "As you all know, I have been Supergirl and GreatGirl's most outspoken champion." She said. "So, you can imagine how difficult it is for me to tell you that I and CatCo can no longer stand behind Supergirl and GreatGirl." Supergirl poured a bowl of peanuts on the counter. Everyone in the bar whispered. "I made you trust them. I gave you my word that they were both safe." GreatGirl flicked a peanut towards a bottle, shattering it. Everyone in the bar ran out. "That they were friends. I was wrong." The two villains continued to flick peanuts towards the alcohol bottles. "Supergirl and GreatGirl have changed. They are unstable and extremely dangerous." The two villains walked out.

A couple of seconds later, they were outside, as Cat continued her speech on a giant screen.
- "Sometimes, heroes fall." She said. "So, please, for your own safety. Stay away..."
The two villains flew through the screen, destroying it.
Cops arrived and shot at them, but since their powers they could not be hurt, so they just laughed.
GreatGirl used her heat vision to make the cop car explode, after the cops had stepped far enough.
Supergirl used hers in front of the car of the D.E.O.
It stopped, and they shot at both of the villains.
Another car arrived, Alex walked out.
She aimed at them with the cure for the red Kryptonite.
The two villains separated ways as the younger Danvers took the car on the left and the Matthews girl took the car on the right.
They made everyone fall to the ground, without their weapons.
A third car arrived with J'onn.
- "Classic Alex. Always in time to ruin the fun." The Kryptonian said.
- "That's her job. Like Adam, always ruining everything for their siblings." The quadbrid whispered.
- "Supergirl. GreatGirl. I want to help you." The older Danvers replied.
- "Supergirl! GreatGirl!" The J'onzz man yelled as he saw Supergirl, slowly and menacingly, fly towards her sister.
- "Doesn't look like help to me." She said.
- "No!" The director ran towards them.
GreatGirl pushed him, making him fall behind them.
- "Please! You have to stop." The right hand begged.
- "Nothing on Earth can stop us." The younger Danvers replied.
The eyes of the villains shined red.
- "You don't want to kill me." Alex shook her head, scared.
J'onn looked at them and turned into his green real self.
He ran towards the villains and pushed them into cars.
The Matthews girl punched him.
- "Don't do this." The J'onzz man said.
The Kryptonian hit his nose with her head.
The quadbrid punched him, sending him in the air.
The two villains flew after him.
They dragged him through several levels of CatCo, until they reached the roof.
Supergirl tried to punch him, but he flew right through her with his intangibility power.
GreatGirl punched him in the face, making him fly back.
The director flew at them and punched both of them.
They flew through the building.
When the two villains reached the other side, J'onn flew through them, several times, to disorientate them, and it worked.
J'onn pushed both of them to the ground.
When the villains hit the ground, everything around them was destroyed.
The J'onzz man landed as the two villains tried to get up, still dizzy.
The older Danvers shot at both of them.
The villains fell to the ground as red vapor flew out of their bodies, before they fell asleep.
Everyone ran to surround the green man.
The agents of the D.E.O. aimed at him.
- "Go. Please." The right hand said.
J'onn turned back into Hank Henshaw, put his hands behind his head and got on his knees.
One agent handcuffed him and led him away.

The next day, very early in the morning, the two heroes woke up in the infirmary of the D.E.O.
- "Did I kill anyone?" Kara asked.
- "No." Alex replied.
- "And me?" Maddie questioned.
- "No, you didn't kill anyone. Neither of you did." The older Danvers said.
The Matthews girl sighed, in relief.
The younger Danvers looked at her sister, who had a broken arm.
- "Your arm..." She started.
- "Broken bones heal, and this will too." The right hand replied.
- "It was so horrible, Alex." The Kryptonian cried. "It was so bad. It was so horrible. Every bad thought I've ever had, it just came to the surface." She sobbed. "I couldn't stop it."
- "Oh my god, what I said about my family." The quadbrid sobbed as she sat up. "I never thought I would say that, but I'm glad they are not here."
- "I didn't mean it. I didn't mean what I said to you." Kara told her sister. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry for what I said." She cried.
- "Kara, you're my sister and I love you. No matter what." Alex smiled softly as she wiped her sister's tears. "Yeah. There's some truth to what you said. We're going to have to work on that. And Maddie, your family would just be happy that you are okay. They would forgive you."
- "I hope so." Maddie nodded. "What about J'onn?"

Later, the two heroes were release from the D.E.O. Unlike everyone else, they were not blaming them, the agents understood.
Maddie knocked on the door of Mia's apartment. She opened.
- "I am so, so sorry, Mia." She said. "I didn't mean anything I said to you. I'm sorry for how I treated and talked to you. You were just trying to be my friend and to help me, and I treated you like shit. I'm sorry." Tears ran down her face.
The Krillin woman hugged her.
- "It wasn't you, stop it." She replied.
The Matthews girl wrapped her arms around her friend's back.
- "I still said it." She sighed.
- "It's okay." The Agotarian said. "I forgive you."
- "Thank you." The quadbrid closed her eyes.
Mia pulled away and put her hands on her friend's shoulders.
- "I know, I am not your best friend, but you are mine, and I will always forgive you when your brain is altered by fucking Maxwell Lord." She scoffed.
- "The Davenports are my family, not my best friends. You are." Maddie said.
The Krillin woman smiled and hugged her best friend.
- "I love you." She whispered.
- "I love you too, Blondie." The Matthews girl smiled into the embrace.
The Agotarian snickered as her best friend hugged her tighter.
They hugged each other with their super strength.

Later, the two heroes were sitting on the balcony of Cat's office.
- "I love this city." Supergirl exhaled. "The lights. All the windows. I love that behind every window there's a story. Someone's eating take-out with their boyfriend. Someone's playing board games with their kids. To me, every person in the city is a light. And every time I've helped one of them, a little bit of their light has become a part of me."
- "And this city, and everyone in it, are helping me heal after I lost my entire world and my family." GreatGirl said, sadly. "I love it."
- "I've never been happier than when I've been Supergirl." The Danvers woman continued.
- "And I've never been happier than when I started to use my powers to protect the people I love." The Matthews girl added.
- "I know what happened wasn't exactly our fault, our... Our brains were altered." The Kryptonian replied. "But it brought something inside of me out. That was mean and horrible."
- "My mother would be so ashamed of me." The quadbrid sighed.
- "What I did to you, Ms. Grant..." Supergirl started.
- "Oh, please. I've base jumped Mount Kilimanjaro. Do you really think you scared me?" Cat asked. "Well, okay, yes, you did scare me."
The two heroes lowered their heads.
- "I know." The Danvers woman nodded.
- "We scared the whole city." GreatGirl sighed.
- "And now I'm so afraid that we are never gonna win them back." The Kryptonian added.
- "Well." The Grant woman sighed. "If you came here for me to tell you that everything is going to be okay, I can't do that. It's not that easy."
- "I know." The Matthews girl sighed.
- "Now, I said that it's not going to be easy. But I didn't say it would be impossible." The queen of media explained. "Personally, I don't believe in failure. Not if you get back up and face the music. It takes time. But if anybody can win this city back, it's you two."
- "Can we just sit here for a little while?" The quadbrid asked.
- "Of course." Cat said.
The two heroes sat and stayed with her, looking over the city.
