*Maria/Peggy's POV*

Alexander had just made a huge public apology to Eliza, and of course, Eliza being herself, accepted the apology.

Angelica noticed me from across the crowd. I panicked for a minuet.

As Alexander and Eliza kissed, I left the scene. I could deal with this. How could he just go back to her? After what we did? It wasn't fair.

As I walking down the hall, I got the feeling that somebody was following me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see Angelica right behind me.

"What, Schuyler?" I asked bluntly, looking at her.

Angelica crossed her arms over her chest. "How come every time Alexander is around, I see you? He has a girlfriend."

I let out a laugh. "Oh please. Like that would actually last. He won't be satisfied with her."

"I think you're in no place to talk. I mean, have you ever even had a relationship? Probably not because you're just the cheap whore type." Angelica snapped back at me.

I was taken aback. "That's not what Alexander said at homecoming." I whispered as I got in her face.

Angelica furrowed a brow as she was trying to process what I just said. I smirked watching her confusion.

"Why don't you run along to your precious Eliza? Or, that forgotten one, what was her name again?"

Angelica looked at me with a glare. "Peggy." She said quietly, as I walked away.

Angelica scurried away back to Eliza.

I rushed into a bathroom stall and locked the door.

That was close. I can't risk this.

I was afraid Angelica would go looking for me, and then I'd have no chance to try and change or explain.

As I tried to steady my breathing, I heard a voice come over the intercom

"Can Angelica, Elizabeth, and Margarita Schuyler report to the front office please?" The lady spoke.

My heart dropped.

I don't know where my bag is. I can't do this.

I thought to myself as I paced around the stall.

Peggy wasn't going home. Not until I find my bag.

I hurriedly rushed into the hallway and opened my locker, and much to my surprise, my bag was there. I grabbed it and ran back into the bathroom.

Angelica and Eliza arrived at the front office to be greeted by their parents.

"Hi, loves! We're going on vacation early, our flight leaves soon." Their dad, Philip said.

Catherine, their mother looked at her two daughters standing in front of her and then around. "Where's Peggy?"

Angelica and Eliza exchanged looks with each other. "I don't know. She should be here, she came to school this morning." Eliza said.

The front desk lady spoke up, "I can call her teacher." The Schuyler's nodded.

As I was in the bathroom, I began to think to myself.

They won't care. They won't notice. I should just go.

I was in the bathroom for longer than I thought. I heard the voice over the intercom again.

"Lockdown. We are in an lockdown until we find a missing student."

I slid down against the wall and put my head in my hands.

"Oh no." I said to myself and closed my eyes.
