"Have you heard it? My new song?" My best friend Shawn said through the phone. It's been 6 months since I've seen him, I kiss him a lot.

"No not yet, I've been dealing with school and stuff." I laugh. I can tell he smiles after I say it.

"Well, listen to it. It's important. I wrote it about someone special." He says. I nod with a smile.

"Alright, I'll listen to it." I go onto iTunes and buy his song, Treat You Better. I start to listen and nod my head to the beats.

"I like it." I say to Shawn. He laughs. It took me a moment to realize he was talking about me.

"Shawn." I say.

"Yes my dear." He laughs.

"Who's this song about?" I ask him. A long pause settles and I feel my stomach start to flip.

"It's about you." I sigh.

"Shawn, I have a boyfriend. You could've told me how you felt before I said yes to him." I say.

"But (y/n), I was scared to. I love you and I want to be with you." He says. My breathe is shaky, I've never had this happen before.

"Shawn, you're famous, Ive got a boyfriend, we're best friends, there's so many things that are telling us not to be together, okay?" I say. I hear him sigh.

"Think about it." He says then hang up. I groan. What am I supposed to do?

I suddenly hear a knock at the door. Who could be here, especially since I have r invited anyone over.

I open the door to reveal a Shawn, standing at my door with flowers and a guitar in his hands. He starts to sing Treat You Better. I hold my hand up to stop him, but he sings louder and with more passion.

After the song was over he leaned in and kissed me. I felt sparks I never had before. Not even for my boyfriend. I loved him. I felt things for him I never knew I would feel. That's when I knew, he could treat me better.
