Shawn's POV
I watched her sitting with her friend, talking about the school jock, Bradley Scott. Y/N has been obsessing over him since he first joined the football team this year. I have loved Y/N since forever! We've been best friends every since we were 5 years old and now she's starting to go boy crazy over the wrong people. I wish she loved me. I'm the one she belongs with. Bradley wouldn't treat her right. He's a player. I saw him making out with one of popular girls, Avery Cooper and then the next day he was holding hands and flirting with Mackenna Foster. I don't want Y/N to fall into his trap. That's why today I'm gonna say something to her.  "Y/N," I said. She looked up and smiled, "Hey Shawn what's up?" I took a deep breath and spoke, "I just want you to know that Bradley is a player. I saw him kissing and flirting with different girls everyday. I don't want you to be one of those girls he 'plays' with. I'm not trying to ruin your happiness but I love you and I want you to know that I feel that I'm the one for you." I finished my speech and Y/N's eyes were wide and her jaw dropped. "I- I'm sorry Shawn, I don't love you like that. I always thought of you as a friend. Im so sorry." With that she walked away, leaving me heartbroken. I guess I did ruin her happiness.
