Shawn's P.O.V

"That was great Shawn, how are you feeling?" Andrew asked

"It was incredible, I still can't believe it, look where I am. Andrew I just rehearsed for Madison square garden, its unreal."

"I am extremely happy for you kid, you don't even know."

"You got me here, thank you."

"No, you got yourself here; your talent got you here. I just steered you into the right direction."

"If only Sade was here to see this."

"I am sure she wishes she could be here."

"You know, the first year of high school was when I out my videos. I had people in the halls laughing at me, people asking me to sing for them in the bathroom. They didn't think I was goof, they thought it was funny. Sade was the first person who told me that I was actually good, that I could go somewhere with it. The classic, all the other kids are just jealous. I didn't go home and delete my videos because of her. And through the years we have became best friends. She needs to be here."

"I have heard this story five times in the past two weeks Shawn." Andrew smiled

"Sorry."

"No, it's fine. It's a great story."

"What do I do? I sent her tickets, I offered her to stay on the bus for a bit. The only thing I didn't and can't do is pay for her plane tickets."

"Well not everyone has that much cash lying around, you can't blame yourself for that."

"No, I have the money for her, she just wouldn't take it."

"Oh, that's Sade for you."

I couldn't think about it, all the things were perfect, except for Sade. Half the dream was singing on this stage, the other half would be looking into the crowd at Sade, who would be smiling at me. We would laugh after the show, maybe she would even cry with my mom.

I needed her here with me. Maybe there would be other concerts; of course there would be other concerts, maybe even another MSG concert.

However there would only be one first time. I could only have this except experience once. I wouldn't be able to go back in time and have Sade here at Madison square garden for me, it was now or never.

"I will see you in about 2 hours." Andrew stated.

"Alright, I think I am going to head back to the tour bus." I smiled

Because there is so much security around, and everything is close by, there aren't many things that could go wrong. I mean there is, but it's hopefully not going to happen.

I walked through the arena, heading to the back where the tour bus was. I couldn't help but thinking about tonight, but it brought me down, realizing she wasn't going to be here.

She was family, it was like my little sister Aaliyah not being here.

I walked into the tour bus with my mind lost in my thoughts. I placed my jacket on the chair then opened up the fridge to grab a water.

"Pass me a 7up?" A voice asked from behind.

A voice I knew too well, one that was easily able to break my thoughts and bring me to reality.

"No." I laughed as I grabbed my water and her 7up.

"Are you exited?" Aaliyah asked

"I mean, I am over the moon, but I am extremely nervous. This is Madison Square Garden, MSG, the real deal."

"Stop, your freaking me out."

"Lol."

"Did you just say?"

"I think I need to rest before the show." I laughed

"I think so too, mom and dad went to get something from the store, they took your jeep, should be back in like 20 minutes."

"Alright."

I walked to the back of the tour bus with my water bottle in hand. I was beyond tired, filled with emotions, I was read for tonight, but at the same time, I wish it wasn't tonight. It was close, almost too close.

It's weird you know, having this dream for so long, it just being a dream, something that you imagine but would never think possible. And now ... it's about to happen.

"Hey Mendes." She smiled

"Sade?"

"Well, like ... I guess." She smiled again

she sat on the edge of my bed, both legs crossed. She wore her favorite grey wool thigh high socks with her black lulu lemon shorts and a dark green shirt.

"You're here!" I laughed as I rushed over to her.

"Of course." She said into my chest as I hugged her.

I could feel her smiling, and I knew she could feel me smiling. Everything was going to be perfect; the entire dream was going to come true. Nothing was going to go wrong, everything and everyone was going to see this happen.

"Thank you." I whispered

"Of course, you don't know how proud I am of you. I love you Shawn and you're going to do great, believe me. Now get some rest, because no one should say lol, out load." She giggled

"Goodnight."

"Night Shawn."
