"No!" You screamed. "I'll never leave you."

Shawn smiled sadly. "But you have to go, my love. It's inevitable." He sighed deeply, and there was tears in Shawn's eyes. They slowly started to fall down his face and then, as if as a consequence, you started to cry too. "I love you, my love, I always have and I always will. Keep that in your heart and never let it go. I'll never let you go."

His voice was slowly drifting as he spoke, and your heart was slowly breaking into a thousand little pieces.

"I'll always be here, watching over you, loving and protecting you, waiting for you. Know that, and take comfort in it."

As you screamed even louder, Shawn fell into the mist, and he was gone.

Forever, perhaps.

You did not know.

And then, if was as if you echoed his earlier loss, as you fell to your needs, sorrow taking over.

Your heart would never, ever be whole again.
