16~ the Raging Sibling
================
Kiara Krag ^^
================
"Where are we headed?" Kyle asked, rummaging through the glove compartment like it was his.
"Kion and Kiara," Ryan answered without taking his eyes off the road. It was a short drive that they could have walked, but decided against.
"What did they do this time?" he asked. Kyle had learned from experience that they only went to visit Ryan's little siblings when the twins did something wrong. It still seemed strange to let a couple of preteens live alone, even if they were part of a prestigious family. Yet just like everything else in Ryan's life, Kyle was getting used to it. they'd been roommates for almost three months already and spent most of that time hanging out. In spite of his better judgment, Ryan had to admit he was getting oddly comfortable being around the Hawaiian rich boy.
"Kiara brought a boy over to the house. I'm gonna go scare the shit out of him," he said seriously. The brutal honesty made Kyle's eyes open wide and soon he was grinning like an idiot.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun." He pulled out his phone and started prepping the camera.
"Not for him," he sighed.
When they arrived at the twin's condo, the door was already open. Ryan growled at the lack of security and stormed inside like a well-dressed bull.
Inside, a simple set-up just like his own was laid out with twice as much furniture. A short hallway led into a single huge room that was walled off to create a living room and tiny kitchen. Two sets of chairs, sofas, a green couch, and a large rectangular table with a patterned glass top. The walls were painted in flowing shades of blue and green. Posters of celebrities hung alongside pictures of the various places the two had visited.
Kion- Ryan's cerulean-eyed brother- stood by the partition watching the scene with his arms crossed. His posture was equal parts bored and irritated. When he saw Ryan storm in, his eyes widened with fear and he quickly hopped over the partition into the kitchen.
Seated next to each other on the large viridian couch were two colorful idiots. His sister had skin the color of milk chocolate and bright wavy green hair that was dyed down to the roots. Her emerald eyes glittered as she smiled idiotically toward the target beside her. The target had bleached white hair spiked up with gel and a thin black V-neck sweater. He had his arm around Kiara his back turned to Ryan.
Ryan growled from the entrance while Kyle crept up behind him with his camera raised and recording.
The little twelve-year-old whipped her head around at the familiar sound and her jaw dropped in horror. "Oh no..." she could see the steam beginning to rise off her brother's skin and knew that she had been sold out by her twin.
The poor idiot must not have heard the growl because he kept his eyes on her. Then to her utter dismay, he reached out with his other hand and caressed the side of her face, saying, "What's the matter, baby? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Ryan was going to kill him. She knew that from just a single glance at those burning pits of smoldering plasma he called eyes.
Kiara batted away her new boyfriend's hand and pushed him off the couch with all her strength. The guy fell off just a second before Ryan's leg came crashing down like a meteor onto the edge of the chair. There was so much force that the entire piece of furniture flipped over with her still on it.
"Who the hell are you? That's my sister!" he roared so loud that Kyle had to back away subconsciously, trying to find shelter from the explosion.
The white-haired fool was clearly terrified, but he made the mistake of trying to laugh it off. He was clearly much older than twelve and the realization hit hard. He smiled nervously and raised both hands in a placating gesture. "It's okay dude, just chill. We were just playing around and."
Ryan's hand was around his neck in an instant. The guy might as well have been a paperweight considering the way he was lifted off the ground. "How old are you?" he asked with a bone-chilling quietness.
Kiara cried out, "Don't answer him, Chris! Just stay quiet." She climbed over the flipped couch and tried to pry Ryan's hand off Chris' neck, but it was pointless. Kiara may have been a Krag just like the rest of her brothers, but she was way out of her weight-class.
"I'm just twenty-two man, lay off." The room went quiet and the blood drained from Kiara's face. Kion, who had been peeking over the kitchen wall, ducked fully out of sight. Kyle decided to stop the camera and delete the recording. They both came to the conclusion that it was better not to leave any proof of what might end up happening.
"You are what? Did you know how old she is? Are you serious?" it's funny how terrifying a person can sound when they become quiet. With a single flick of his hand, Ryan sent the man hurtling through the window. Shattering the glass and crashing onto the floor outside. But he wasn't done with Chris yet...
Kiara threw herself against her older brother in an attempt to slow him down. He trudged slowly toward the broken window, prepared to pursue and punish the evil pedophile that had entered his little sister's home. Before Ryan could reach the window and commit murder, Kyle ran in between them and threw his hands out wide.
"Move," he growled.
"No," Kyle replied.
"You are in my way."
"You're not thinking straight, Rye. You'll end up killing him if you go after him like this," he said adamantly.
"He'll deserve it if I do. Move, or I'll move you."
"I'm not moving, Rye. I can't let you do this now."
Ryan was steaming hot, literally. He grabbed his roommate by the collar and glared at him with the same stare that had melted him the day they first met. This time, he didn't look away. "You think that you can stop me?"
"No...but if you're going to kill someone then it might as well be me. if you go to jail then I'm as good as dead already, so go ahead and kill me first."
"Kyle, move!" he shouted.
"No!" he rose to match the volume and glared right back at the berserker. "You are literally all I have left! I'm not going to just sit back and let you do something stupid. If I let you past me then I'll lose everything again, and I'm not- I can't live through that." His voice fell to a whisper on the last words, but they were close enough that it didn't matter.
"I know you're mad, and I'm just being selfish, but..." he pushed himself forward and dropped his head on Ryan's chest. The body heat was suffocating, but he rested against him anyway. "I just can't let you do what you want like this."
As much as the anger boiled inside him, Ryan felt frozen in place. That feeling he'd sensed growing inside of him had taken hold of him. He couldn't push Kyle off or stop the dancer from wrapping his arms around him. He couldn't even respond with the way that irritating emotion was flooding his lungs.
All he could focus on was the fact that there were tears rolling down his friend's face and Kyle was was holding on for dear life.
As it happened, Chris was possibly the luckiest man on the planet that day. He was saved by Kyle triggering Ryan's protective nature. Now, he'd be able to go back to base and report the location of the Krag children's home to Mrs. Black. It was unfortunate that he didn't get to test the white chord on them, but he made it away alive, and that was more than enough. All for the sake of the Helix.

That casual character introduction tho... ;)
So tell me what you guys thought of the Krag siblings and the way they deal with their issues. Having busy parents and a very big family usually means that the older siblings take on a lot of that responsibility. Even so, do you think Ryan over-reacted to this 22-year-old named Chris? or would you have done the same?
I've got a challenge for you now (Yes, you.) The Helix know where the children live now, so how do you think they'll act next?
