Shawn's P.O.V.
"Are you sure you know how to do it Sierra?" Cameron yells through the bathroom door.

"Yes Cameron. It's pretty easy. You just have to pee on." she saids aggravated.

"Cameron she's got it." I say laughing, grabbing ahold of his hand. "She probably knows more about pregnancy tests then you do anyways." I say smiling. Just being able to say that makes me smile; a pregnancy test. Sierra is a gestational surrogate mother. That means that the egg did not come from her, but the fertilized eggs and sperm were implanted in her and are healthy and living. There were actually some flaws in Cameron and I's plans. We wanted to have two babies with each of our sperm. It turns out that usually the fertilized eggs don't attach inside the surrogate mother, meaning that only one of ours could attach or maybe two of one of our babies could attach. So when the babies are born we are going to have them DNA tested and Gina and Sierra are gonna be the only ones to know which baby is who's; or if both babies are one of ours.

"Well." Sierra says sadly. She unlocks the bathroom door, looking rather gloomily. The doctor said that if the fertilized eggs would have attached that the pregnancy tests would say she's pregnant right now. If not, then that probably means that they didn't attach and we'd have to do the whole process over again. We all look around at each other sadly. "I'm sorry to have to tell you guys this." she says, still sounding sad. She turns the pregnancy test over showing a blue plus sign. "But you're going to be fathers." she yells jumping up and down. I look over at Cameron and feel like crying from happiness. I pull Cameron into a hug, connecting our lips. My hands are against his face, and his hands on mine, making our kiss more passionate. I lean my forehead on his, breaking the kiss.

"We're gonna be dads." I say smiling.

"I know." he says excitedly. We start jumping up and down, Sierra and Gina joining us.

"I'm gonna be a grandma." Gina exclaims excitedly. I grab Cameron's face.

"We're going to be dads." I say. He smiles and kisses my lips.

"When can we take her to get her first ultrasound?" Cameron asks his mom excitedly.

"In a few weeks." He looks back at me, smiles, and kisses me again.

"We're gonna be fathers." he proclaims.

"Sierra stop moving." I say annoyed. She's been nonstop aggravating me since we got in the car.

"Shawn I love that we can argue just like real brothers and sisters." she says smiling.

"Yah." I say sarcastically.

"Calm down baby boy." Cameron says to me.

"I'm sorry guys, I just had a stressful day at the studio."

"It's ok Shawn." Sierra says, hitting my shoulder. We're sitting in the back and Cameron is driving.

"When am I gonna get to hear your new music babe?" Cameron whines.

"You've heard them all." I say laughing. "I always sing my songs to you or around the apartment before I record them."

"Yah I know that." he says. "But like I wanna hear the finished version too. Sometimes you just say words or phrases and I don't get to hear the whole song."

"Well yah, that's what happens when I first write them babe. I don't just have the whole song right away." I say.

"We're hear!" Sierra yells as we pull into the hospital. She's kinda starting to get on my nerves. Her hormones aren't even that bad yet; we've just been spending a lot of time together. Cameron and I are going house hunting in a few weeks and she wants to go with us to make sure we find the "perfect place" for her little nieces or nephews. We get out of the car and head into the hospital. We sign Sierra in and sit down in the waiting room. I sit down next to Cameron, and he holds my hand. He rubs his thumb over the top of my hand.

"You can lay your head down baby." he whispers in my ear. I smile and lay my head down on his shoulder. I love that he tries so hard to make me feel better. "Are you excited to see our little baby or babies." he asks me.

"Yes." I say truthfully. "I still can't believe we're actually doing it Cameron. It feels like just yesterday I fell in love with you. It's been over two years since we've been together." I say cutely.

"I know." he says. "Time flies when you're falling in love." he says, playing a kiss on my forehead."

"Sierra Dallas." the nurse says.

"Here." We all say standing up. We follow the nurse back to her room.

"Ok so I'm gonna get your weight, height, and heart rate." She takes all of these things and sits down in the doctors rolling chair. "So which one of you lucky gentleman is the father?" she asks nicely. Cameron and I look at her.

"Either both of us or just one us." he says smiling. The nurse looks at him puzzled. "It's ok. She's my sister." he adds, making the situation even more confusing for the nurse. I start laughing.

"I'm sorry. You must not have read that she is a gestational surrogate for Cameron and I." I say, grabbing a hold of Cameron's hand. The nurse starts laughing, placing her hand on her heart.

"For a second there I was so confused and worried." she says laughing and calmed.

"This is our first time." Cameron says excitedly.

"Well are you guys ready to see your first baby?" she asks. Cameron tightens his grip on my hand. She pulls Sierra's shirt up and begins rubbing the ultrasound jelly on her tummy. After putting on the jelly she brings the small probe over to her belly. She begins moving it around. Within a few seconds we hear a small tub-lub, tub-lub, tub-lub.

"Cameron that's our baby." I say out loud. "That's our little baby." I feel like crying. Sierra looks at us with a puppy dog face. "Thank you so much Sierra. You've helped give us the greatest gift our lives. I'm sorry for being rude earlier." I let go of Cameron's hand, leaning over to give Sierra a hug.

"Aww, wait a minute now." the nurse says. She types on the computer/machine thing I don't know the name of, and makes a surprised sound.

"What's wrong?" Sierra asks worried.

"I didn't mean to worry you." she says. "But if you look right there." I squint my eyes and see a second fetus inside of Sierra.

"Is that another baby?" I ask excited.

"Yes." the nurse says sadly.

"Well what's wrong?" Cameron asks. She looks at us seriously.

"Only one of your babies has a heartbeat." she says sadly. I look over at Cameron. He holds onto my hand. Sierra covers her mouth with her hand.

"I'm so sorry guys." she says sadly.

"Shawn, we're still having a baby." Cameron says comfortingly.

"You're right." I say lovingly.

"I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But the good news is this baby is alive and completely healthy." she pauses for a minute. "I'll go print this picture of your baby, and give you guys a few minutes alone." the nurse says, walking out of the room. Cameron wraps his arms around me pulling me close.

"We're still having a baby." Cameron says smiling. We can either look at this moment, mourning for the baby we lost, the baby that was only a few weeks old, or we can focus on the baby that's alive and healthy, and that we're hopefully going to be holding in our arms in about 8 months. I'd rather focus on the precious gift God has granted us.
